Every player knows that items are a key part of competitive Pokemon. However, some are used more than others...and it's usually for a reason. In this tour, the roles will be reversed, and items considered unusable will be necessary while the "necessary" items will be unusable.
Tournament-specific rules:
- Each round, three (or more) different items chosen by me will be banned for that round.
- In addition, each round three different items will be required. Each item must be held by at least one Pokemon on your team. However, you don't have to end the match with your Pokemon holding the required items.
- If one of your Pokemon is holding a banned item or none of them are holding the required items at the start of the match, you will be disqualified, whether it affected the outcome or not.
- This tour is best of 1/single elimination.
General rules:
- General Tournament Guidelines
- The tier is ORAS OU, and the standard clauses are in effect:
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same Pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
- Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.
- Evasion Clause: A player cannot increase their Pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items or indirect boosts do not break this clause.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
- Battle Timeout: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
