Hello, the last project was never completed plus with the recent banning of Throh and Sneasel from PU, I'll be starting this over.

HELLO FRIENDS! Today we will be reviving everyone's favorite project: the CommunityCreateATeam. For those of unaware of what this is, let me give you a brief summary:

Stage 1: We are going to start by picking a Pokemon (and set) we are going to be basing the team around. This does NOT mean the Pokemon has to be the late game sweeper, it means the team will be built around that Pokemon, whatever role it plays. This thread is for nominating Pokemon to be added to a poll. After a few days or once we have enough submissions, I will select which Pokemon are going to be in the poll that will be posted after we decide on a list of Pokemon. This means you have to convince me, and others, that your Pokemon is worth being put in the vote.

Stage 2: We select one Pokemon that works well around the selected one.

Stage 3: We select Pokemon that work well around our Pokemon and fit the team style and test it.

Stage 4: We fine-tune the team based on our experiences in test-driving the team on the ladder!

Finally, please make your nominations actually decent, building around good but underrated sets is fun and encouraged, and while it may be funny to build around Wailord, Slaking, or SD Roselia, I want this team to be at the very least actually usable, so please keep this in mind. Also, make sure to explain your nominations and only vote once. I'll 3-4 days to post nominations per round (maybe longer if others want to give a last minute input) and remember that you can only post one pokemon per round. Voting will take place after a good amount of pokemon are posted, and the winning pokemon will be kept track off below. Any changes to previously picked pokemon can be adjusted as the rounds progress. Above all else, this project is meant to be an enjoyable experience for not only skilled battlers and teambuilders, but also for those who don't really know the meta as well, so they can get a good idea of how others think in terms of teambuilding, so don't hesitate to post even if you're not all that familiar with PU.

Hey, a Mr. Mime without a Scarf! Future Sight Mr. Mime is really cool because together with a strong physical attacker such as SubPunch Wrath or Fraxure it pretty much forces the opponent to sack a mon unless they somehow get a Dark-type inside. Just needs some support for fast physical attackers and you're good. With Life Orb it also hits pretty hard unlike the standard Scarf set.

Leafeon @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Iron Tail / Substitute

Going to start this off with a Leafeon nomination. Leafeon is one of the best setup sweepers at the moment, and its life is now easier that Sneasel and Throh are gone, as they both gave some problems to this little beast. This nomination also opens up a lot of ways of building, from a Sun to an Hyper or Bulky Offense team. This could be a good chance to build a solid team after the recent suspects, possibly a decent Sun once for all. Anyway on a sun team, Leafeon should run 148 Speed EVs with an Adamant nature to outspeed to still outspeed popular Choice Scarf users in the sun, and the remaining EVs should go in HP, letting it pull off more dmg and be bulkier.

Chatot @ Choice Specs
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Boomburst
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Ground]

After chatter-ban people assumed this burd was gone from relevancy. However, it still can pack a punch with a pretty decent speed tier and base 140 STAB attack. With decent rock support this thing can still wreck havoc. It can maintain offensive momentum with u-turn on an obvious switch to Misdreavus to a better counter like Pawniard or pull other shenanigans. I'd recommend for a HO or spike stack offense team.

don't have any solid nom in mind, but I will throw my support behind leafeon as it also helps showcase meta trends (banning of throh and sneasel allows it to sweep easier hence it's more prominent). Also Leafeon destroys balance/offensive teams with a little hazard support as they often rely on Roselia to check Grass-types and Knock Off after an SD boost does a fuckton. It is outsped by some key threats and its Speed tier isn't ideal, but rest assured something switching into Leafeon on offense is taking a LOT of damage. Also it helps against sun cuz you can outspeed victreebel and countersweep i guess @_@

EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Encore
- Bug Buzz
I have tried this out a bit and it seems like it has good potential (although i havent properly built around it due to time constraints). It is quite obvious how to use, either encore the opp into a non attacking/NFE move and set up a sub (or on a forced switch out like vs tangela), then baton pass. Bug buzz helps vs taunt and vs grass types although something like twave or roost can be used in the slot. Its really fun to force out poke who are afraid of thunder wave. Encore + better bulk is why you use it vs ninjask

Torterra @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Wood Hammer
- Stone Edge

How about Torterra?
109 base attack is nothing to shrug off, and decent defenses on both sides makes him challenging to revenge kill. Jolly outspeeds scarf neutral nature base 100s after a Rock Polish, and Torterra has a great moveset for the tier that hits a large portion of the threat list extremely hard (Pilowrath, Ninetales, and even OHKOes things like Stoutland after rocks). Torterra can even be mixed if we wanted.

Torterra does get walled by things like bulky grass and ghost types, and a fast scarfer with a good ice move (looking at you Simipour) can be the end of a lategame sweep. But honestly, these facts would just make teambuilding more interesting. Definitely a cool sweeper to consider.

Drifblim @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 12 HP / 52 Def / 252 SpA / 52 SpD / 140 Spe
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Like the Chesto-Rest set, except substitute prevents you from having to hit Pawniard on the switch with HP fighting, and eases prediction vs walls with toxic if they have something that can revenge kill Drifblim. It also lets you take advantage of Stealth Rocks in a cool way that lets you be faster than any non-scarfed pokemon in the game if you switch in twice on rocks.

The given speed EVs allow you to outspeed scarf Mime- 252 Speed could be used to outspeed random scarfed Dodrios and Simipours but Drifblim appreciates the extra bulk.

Definitely needs something for Lickilicky, and toxic-spikes support would be cool.

Murkrow is cool. Ripped this straight from Magnemite's post in creative/underrated sets (the link above) because it's a good set and has a lot of wall breaking utility right now, especially with the carracosta/roselia core being better because it doesn't lose to throh anymore. I also chose this because, to be honest, we could build around standard sweepers any time, why not pick something that's a bit more underrated and tricky?

set seems pretty cool, but i'm wondering what this has over volbeat (not sure of the exact set but i was thinking tg/bp/encore/filler). They have the same bulk and tail glow honestly seems too good to pass over. of course i could be missing something but was jw.

Tail glow is too hard to pull off due to their physical bulk and running tail glow limmits us way too much from the start
Illumise has more spatk and less atk but the same stats otherwise so its bug buzz is stronger

Nominating Unfezant as god
Okay, I'm going to nominate a cool Pokemon which could be fun to build around:

Carbink @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk
- Moonblast

This little man is a wall which can put a huge dent in teams without a steel mon, or paired with a pokemon which can knock them out. After it gets some boosts up this little rock is almost unstoppable and can take many hits coming towards it. Crobink doesn't have many effective checks/counters unless the opponent has roar or a steel type with health saved.

Ursaring @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Swords Dance/Protect

Guts ursaring is a really strong wallbreaker. It has one of the highest attack stats in the tier and hits even harder with guts. You use it early/mid game to put a dent in the opposing team. Ursaring's ability to weaken the opposing team makes it easier for other pokemon to sweep later.

It's been a few days and we have a good number of nominations (9), so I'll be moving this into the voting stage. Please make sure to vote for the username of the person whose set you're voting for, not the Pokemon or set, and make sure to bold your vote. Voting will be open for 48 hours or so from the time of this post. Also while it's not mandatory, providing explanation for your vote is appreciated.

Future Sight sounds like a lot of fun to build a team around. We could use it to bait out dark-types, put pressure on sub + setup sweepers, and so on. Simply sounds like an interesting toy to play with.

Raiza

have justification a few posts up~

also i've really wanted a team based on leafeon since it isn't extremely splashable but is amazingly threatening @_@
