Type Of The Month Club March Edition
This month's theme for Type of The Month Club is March Madness. For those of you not familiar with sports, it's basketball season. This month's prizes are not only Pokemon, they're also team mascots.

How to Participate:
To get one of these team mascots, you'll have to tell us what March Madness team the Pokemon is acting as mascot for. For example, a Pokemon not featured here is Tepig. Tepig is obviously based off a pig. What March Madness team features a pig as their mascot? Well... there is no "Pig" team but there is the Razorbacks, a razorback being a wild pig. Tepig must be the Pokemon team mascot for the Razorbacks!
Some Pokemon also will have multiple interpretations as well, which is fine, don't be afraid to post your ideas and participate though! If you're having trouble, I would recommend Googling like 'March Madness mascots'

Rules:​
  1. Respect the Redistribution Policy that the club member has set and credit them if you use their Pokémon to breed Pokémon that you offer in your thread;
  2. Please have your FC and IGN either in your post or in your signature;
  3. There is a limit of one Pokémon per person;
  4. There is a limited number of copies available for each pokemon. If the pokemon you want runs out, you will have to pick something else;
  5. Lady Valkyrie (I) will be distributing Pokemon FC: 5129-1443-4820 | IGN: Valkyrie but along with me I have Tatertot FC: 2852-7424-7447 | IGN: Tate who will also be helping giving out the Pokemon. Our timezones are Australian Eastern Time Zone (UTC+10:00) and Central Time Zone (UTC-06:00) respectively;
  6. Please post your timezone when requesting a Pokemon, that way it is easier for Tatertot or I to meet up with you to trade.

Man I tried Google and gave up twice before I came up with a plausible answer (maybe??).

I'm gonna guess that Houndour is the Duke Blue Devils? ^^; My timezone is GMT+8.

Is the Donphan representing the Arizona Razorbacks because it looks like a pig? Or because its the Armor Pokemon, its it representing the Michigan State Spartans? Depends on how you interpret it.

It's much more literal than that, and no it is not a pig...think a different animal

I think the mascot for Kentucky is a wildcat-therefore I think electrike is a suitable canidate for them. They have many things in common:their coach has been a LIGHTNING ROD of criticism for how he runs the program, the team has INTIMIDATED all their opponents this year as they continue their WILD CHARGE through march madness and when they win the national championship this year the ROAR from Kentucky fans will be as loud as THUNDER in the stands.

I believe you found you answer, it doesn't matter if they are in march madness this year, mainly that they are prominent college team.
