Arena: ASB Tournament Arena

Team Zhengann
Odin, "One-Eyed" - Tornadus (M)

flavour after approval

Nature: Hasty (+Speed, -Def) - an ancient pervert, despite wise

Type:
Flying type: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Prankster
Type: Passive
Odin is always prepared for engaging in sneaky, perverted tactics and trickery, giving its non-damaging attacks (like lifting a girl's skirt) a +1 increase in priority level.

Ability 2: Defiant (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Odin still has a deep sense of Asgardian honor, and whenever one of its stats are decreased by an opponent's Attack or Ability, its Attack increases by two (2) stages. Attack Boosts gained this way are not subject to deterioration that round.

Ability 2: Regenerator (Therian-only)
Type: Passive
When Odin switches out during a switch battle, Nordic magic reacts to the energy in the Pokeball and (ten) 10 HP is restored. When he Chills, it restores six (6) HP in addition to its 12 Energy.

Tobio Ikuse, "Slash Dog" - Sableye (M)

flavour after approval

Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Speed)

Type:
Dark type: Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.

Ghost type: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but will still be damaged every action by their effect.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Keen Eye
Type: Passive
Tobio has extremely good vision and cannot have his accuracy lowered by an opponent through any means (including accuracy lowering attacks, Smogs, Hazes, Fog, etc.). Its vision also enables it to see through any attempts by an opponent to increase their own evasion.

Ability 2: Stall
Type: Passive
Tobio has a watchful eye and immense patience. He can attack last on any action regardless of ordinary attack priority. If an opponent orders their Pokemon to attack after the user of Stall, that attack will fail. Against another user of Stall, the trainer who issues attacks first has precedence and the opponent's attack will fail.

Ability 3: Prankster (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Tobio is always fast on his feet, prepared for engaging in sneaky tactics and trickery, giving his non-damaging attacks a +1 increase in priority level.

Ability 4: Magic Bounce (Mega-Evo only)
Type: Passive
Tobio can uncannily ward off non-damaging attacks as soon as they are launched, directing them back at the user.

Ajuka Beelzebub, "Satan Creator" - Metagross (U)

flavour after approval

Nature: Mild (+SpAtk, -Def)

Type:
Steel type: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making him susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Psychic type: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Clear Body
Type: Passive
Ajuka is immune to petty stat-lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)

Ability 2: Light Metal (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Ajuka restructured his body to be made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Ability 3: Tough Claws (Mega-Evo only)
Type: Passive
Ajuka's precise calculations and sharp claws enhance the power of all of his contact attacks by two (2) BAP.

Bad things happen when you reff me SF :< Everstone gives +2 Atk and +2 Def to Sableye actually, and then another +1 to Sableye's Dark STAB, so Knock Off and Payback does 14 damage each. All of Pyroak's attacks deal 14.5 damage each. Pain Split thus costs 29.5 EN and left both mons at 82.5 HP. End result should be Sableye at 64 HP, 58 EN, while Pyroak be at 68 HP.

"Still optimistic about me being the unstoppable Slash Dog?"

Flavor: ...And while examining Tornadus' profile, I noticed for the first time the extra flavor that ZhengTann gave to Tornadus' abilities. Particularly his Prankster ability. It seems that smashlloyd's female Dragonite noticed it too, and was rather incensed by it, becomes even more so when Odin responds to her fury by knocking off her clothing- specifically her Expert Belt. Outraged, Dragonite vows to do her best fighting this legend (which I personally support her on, despite the RNG I rolled siding against her- Odin seems like the sort of 'mon Wen-Do was designed for). Dragonite breathes out an ice beam at Tornadus, but unfortunately does not freeze him.

Odin, using the kind of trickery described in his... off-color... description of his Prankster-like attitude (albeit without actually needing to use the ability Prankster) knows that this furious woman means business, and quickly crafts a Substitute to intercept the thunderbolt which she had prepared.

Tornadus then launches an Air Slash, and well... my RNG just loves flinching, doesn't it? For the next part, will Dragonite be able to defeat this dirty old 'mon, or will the villain win in the end?

SF, you forgot one stuff:
  • Everstone raises Tornadus' SpAtk to Rank 6, Air Slash gets the STAB +3 from Tornadus A3, so it would have dealt 7.5 damage, leaving Dragonite with 87 HP instead.

"That figure... Totally voluptuous!"
Torment > Hurricane > Hurricane
IF Dragonite would use an Electric-type combo, THEN replace that action with Protect instead, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Dragonite would be under the effects of any Protective move, THEN replace the first instance with Tailwind and subsequent instances with Chill, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Dragonite would use Light Screen, THEN replace that action with Taunt ONCE, pushing remaining queue back.

ZhengTann ? I had it pointed out to me that I had made another mistake. Namely, that Dragonite has Inner Focus, and so cannot flinch. Your Tornadus is thus going to be without a substitute. If you want to change your orders based on this, you can do so.

Flavor: And the round starts with the use of Torment (which I'm not quite sure how to explain via flavor), with Dragonite responding by gathering electrical energy from the heavens, and casting it down to paralyze Tornadus with a Thunder Wave!

Tornadus, true to the personality he showed last round, then prepares to cast various misogynistic taunts at his opponent, but his paralyzed before he can utter them! Dragonite, for her part, uses this to her advantage, gathering shimmering, semi-solid light in front of her and forming it into a psychically projected screen to protect herself with.

So far, things are looking good for the Dragonite... but she overestimates how much the paralysis slows her opponent down. She plans to start a damaging evasive maneuver, but even with his paralysis, Tornadus still outspeeds her. Gathering the forces of nature allied to him, he buffets the Dragonite with a powerful Hurricane. Only afterwards does she manage to dive into the now-turbulent waters below, and then rocket back up, slamming into Tornadus.

Nitpicks before smash orders in:
  • You forgot to roll for Tornadus' full paralysis chance A3 (why dafuq did it roll a yes A2 sadosfgxnxkbwegrjeckv)
  • Paralysis renders Tornadus slower than Dragonite without Prankster, so Hurricane misses A3 regardless. Dragonite would have 87 HP

Ice Beam~Thunderbolt~Ice Beam
IF protective/Evasive AND you are not Taunted, THEN chill the first successful instance, Light Screen the second, and Reflect the third; and pushback
IF Tornadus is in the evasive stage of Fly when it is your turn to attack, THEN Thunder and pushback

Flavor: Tornadus, after making his unsavory comment above, immediately attempts to use evasive Agility to dodge whatever attack his opponent uses next. However, he proves unable to do so, as his paralysis acts up! Fortunately for him, Dragonite takes this opportunity to simply chill out and watch her opponent's fear.
Tornadus then crafts a Substitute of himself from the surrounding clouds, right before Dragonite can possibly attack. Dragonite's beam of ice hits the cloud-formed Substitute, after which the frozen water vapor immediately plummets to the ground and shatters.
As Tornadus attempts to use evasive Agility again, Dragonite attempts to take advantage of this again... but makes a crucial mistake! She fails to remember that she is under Torment. Because she used Light Screen in the previous round, she is unable to use it this round, and she instead resorts to struggling to hit her agile foe. Failing, she still takes recoil damage from the attempted attack.

However, this round still has Dragonite far ahead, with ZhengTann at a disadvantage having to order first.
