Break through this wall of rock, no?

[OVERVIEW]

Rhyperior has a great base 140 Attack that allows it to hit hard with its STAB EdgeQuake combination. It also has amazing 115 / 130 physical bulk, meaning it can take all physical hits and retaliate fairly well. Solid Rock further augments Rhyperior's bulk, allowing it to take nearly any super effective physical hit and proceed to set up Stealth Rock, phaze the foe with Roar, or hit hard with a STAB Earthquake or Stone Edge. It also has an amazing movepool, including moves such as Megahorn, Superpower, and Ice Punch. However, Rhyperior's base 55 Special Defense means it is very weak to special attacks, and its typing leaves it weak to common special attacking types Water, Grass, and Ice. It also has an abysmal base 40 Speed, meaning Rhyperior must always take a hit before it can proceed to do anything.

[SET]
name: Great Wall of China (Defensive)
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Roar / Toxic / Protect
ability: Solid Rock
item: Leftovers
evs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SpD
nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Rhyperior can set Stealth Rock up multiple times throughout the match thanks to its bulk. Rock Blast allows Rhyperior to beat Substitute users and Focus Sash Pokemon such as Alakazam, Froslass, and Azelf and is also a decent STAB move to hit the Pokemon Rhyperior walls such as Crobat and Mega Aerodactyl. Stone Edge, however, hits harder on average and has better consistency. Earthquake grants Rhyperior decent neutral coverage in UU. Roar allows Rhyperior to force out setup sweepers while also racking up entry hazard damage, although Dragon Tail can be used to phaze without worry of Taunt. Toxic can cripple switch-ins. Protect is also slashed because it lets Rhyperior scout for possible coverage moves on Pokemon it otherwise walls, such as Aqua Tail on Mega Aerodactyl and Grass Knot on Infernape.

Set Details
========

The HP EVs allow Rhyperior to hit a Leftovers number, while the Attack EVs and an Adamant nature let it hit a jump point in its Attack stat. The rest is dumped into Special Defense because Rhyperior's high base Defense means investing in its physical bulk isn't as effective; also, the added special bulk allows it to survive some super effective hits that it isn't 4x weak to, such as Ice- and Ground-type attacks, thanks to Solid Rock. Solid Rock allows Rhyperior to tank a lot more hits and retaliate with its base 140 Attack. Leftovers gives Rhyperior a form of passive recovery, allowing it to continue being a threat throughout the match.

Usage Tips
========

This set can come in multiple times thanks to its nice bulk, then set up Stealth Rock easily. This set has to watch out for any stray Water- or Grass-type moves, as even a weak attack can severely cripple Rhyperior.

Team Options
========

This set appreciates Wish support from the likes of Florges and Vaporeon. Florges also provides Aromatherapy support, ridding Rhyperior of any status, while Vaporeon can provide Rhyperior with bigger Wishes and bring it in safely with a slow Baton Pass. This set also appreciates entry hazards removed, as Rhyperior can be worn down a lot quicker with entry hazards on its side of the field. Crobat and Tentacruel can get rid of all entry hazards while synergizing fairly well with Rhyperior. Electric- and Grass-types such as Heliolisk and Shaymin can threaten out the bulky Water-types that Rhyperior has a hard time facing due to its fear of Scald and burn.

[SET]
name: Rock Wrecker (Offensive)
move 1: Stone Edge
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Megahorn
move 4: Aqua Tail / Rock Blast / Ice Punch
ability: Solid Rock
item: Choice Band
evs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stone Edge is a great STAB move, hitting common Pokemon such as Crobat and Mega Aerodactyl. Earthquake is another STAB move that complements Stone Edge, giving Rhyperior great neutral coverage. Megahorn hits Grass-types and Psychic-types such as Chesnaught and Cresselia harder than Rhyperior's STAB moves. The last move is filler: Aqua Tail hits bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon, Rock Blast is a great secondary STAB move that allows Rhyperior to break Focus Sashes and Sturdy, and Ice Punch does 80% minimum to maximum Defense Gligar and has a more accurate OHKO on Salamence.

Set Details
========

The Speed EVs allow Rhyperior to outspeed uninvested base 60 Speed Pokemon such as Empoleon while maximum Attack EVs allow Rhyperior to hit as hard as possible. The rest of the EVs are dumped into HP to give Rhyperior a bit of bulk. An Adamant nature boosts Rhyperior's already great Attack stat; Jolly serves no purpose, as Rhyperior is still going to be slower than most threats in UU and would much rather have the wallbreaking power an Adamant nature provides.

Usage Tips
========

This set punches massive holes in the opposing team, allowing teammates to come in and clean up very easily. This set must be brought in safely, as Rhyperior cannot tank as many hits because it is invested in offenses rather than defenses.

Team Options
========

This set appreciates entry hazard support. Pokemon such as Tentacruel and Roserade can absorb Toxic Spikes, lay down their own Toxic Spikes, and spin away other entry hazards in Tentacruel's case. Tentacruel and Roserade also have decent synergy with Rhyperior, as they can tank Water- and Grass-types moves aimed at Rhyperior while Rhyperior can tank Electric-type moves aimed at Tentacruel and Flying- and Fire-type moves aimed at Roserade. This set appreciates setup sweepers such as Lucario and Infernape, as Rhyperior can wear down walls fairly easily while Lucario and Infernape can clean up late-game. Grass- and Electric-types such as Shaymin and Heliolisk can threaten out the bulky Water-types that Rhyperior has a hard time facing due to its fear of Scald and burn.

Other Options
########

Rock Polish is a possibility, as with maximum Speed EVs and a Jolly nature, Rhyperior can outspeed Alakazam, Mega Pidgeot, and Crobat at +2. However, Rhyperior is still too slow to take on Choice Scarf users and would much rather appreciate the bulk than the speed. Swords Dance could be another option as well, although Rhyperior is far too slow and is too easily KOed by common special attackers to ever pull it off. Metal Burst can be an option to punish both physical and special attackers trying to overpower Rhyperior, but it is unreliable for Pokemon trying to status or set up on Rhyperior.

Checks & Counters
########

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune and Swampert can tank most of Rhyperior's hits, although they do not like switching into a Choice Band-boosted Stone Edge or Earthquake. Mega Blastoise can also force it out with a STAB move and spin away its Stealth Rock.

**Chesnaught**: Chesnaught can wall Rhyperior's STAB moves and not only threaten it with a Grass-type STAB move, but also set up Spikes on it.

**Strong Special Attackers**: Chandelure, Nidoqueen, Kyurem, and Shaymin can all threaten to KO Rhyperior even with its Special Defense investment.

**Fighting-type Wallbreakers**: Lucario and Choice Band Heracross can threaten to KO Rhyperior with their powerful Fighting-type STAB attacks.

**Burn**: Burn halves Rhyperior's amazing Attack stat, crippling it for the rest of the match.

This is ready for QC. I may be lacking a bit on Usage Tips, but I am not sure what else to say then what has already been said, lol.

You should probably expand on a lot tbh, Electric-types and Grass-types can probably be added to Team Options since they deal with Waters. You could probably talk about scouting for coverage moves as well as if 'mons are choiced or not in usage tips. Also saying "Faster Pokemon" seems really vague, especially with the given description since not everything has super effective coverage against Rhyperior, not to mention due to Solid Rock Rhyperior can usually eat up a few s/e hits as long as they aren't Grass or Water moves. Also you should elaborate more on entry hazard support in the Team Options for Rock Wrecker as it only mentions Tenta. Also I'm disappointed in the CB set being named Rock Wrecker without condoning the use of the move ;~; At the end of the day I'm not QC though so just implement w/e you think should be implemented. Aside from that keep up the good work.

Ok I added Electric- and Grass-types was added; not too sure on the "scouting" thing, may wait for a QC member for that. Also added Roserade for entry hazard support on "Rock Wrecker" and I changed "Faster Attackers" to "Strong Attackers" and mention specific Pokemon such as Suicune and Mienshao.

Alright, so in the intro I would mention how its typing leaves it weak to a lot of common special attacking types (water, grass, ice) which is worsened by its horrible Special Defense.

Slash Stone Edge with Rock Blast on the tank set since it just hits harder on average and has better consistency. Rock Blast can be used to OHKO Froslass and Galvantula on turn 1 though. Also, slash Toxic with Roar to cripple switch-ins like Swampert, Vaporeon, Hippowdon, etc, and slash Protect there as well to scout against Choiced attackers, possible coverage moves such as Aqua Tail Mega Aerodactyl and Grass Knot Infernape, and to gain extra Leftovers recovery.

For Choice Band, take out Dragon Tail and just leave Aqua Tail / Rock Blast imo, getting locked into Dragon Tail isn't that great an idea. You could add Ice Punch as the last slash in that moveslot though, since with it Rhyperior can do 80% minimum to max Defense Gligar and has a more accurate OHKO on Salamence.

Other Options: remove the Weakness Policy mention, Rhyperior doesn't really have the right combination of stat distribution + typing to pull that off. Rock Polish can stay there though, and it should just run max Speed with a Jolly nature to outspeed Alakazam, Mega Pidgeot, and Crobat at +2. Swords Dance belongs here as well, but say that its far too slow and easily KO'd by special attackers to ever pull off a sweep.

Checks and Counters: Again, strong special attackers like Chandelure, Nidoqueen, Kyurem etc can all threaten to KO Rhyperior even with Special Defense investment, so they belong here (you can replace "Strong Attackers" with this). Chesnaught should probably have its own section since it can wall every set and set up Spikes in its face while threatening with a Grass STAB. Mega Blastoise should be mentioned specifically in Bulky Waters since it can not only force out Rhyperior, but also spin away its Stealth Rock. Finally, Fighting-type wallbreakers should be in C&C: stuff like Lucario and CB Heracross can threaten to KO Rhyperior.

Ok so I implemented everything, but quick thing...should I keep Assault Vest in OO or no? I am thinking of taking it out, since like you said Rhyperior even with investment has weak Special Defense, but just want some assurance lol.

Yeah just take it out haha. QC 1/3 also nice badge friend :]

You should mention in detail what the Special Defense investment lets Rhyp do: what attackers can it take on now that it either could not / struggles with before?

If I remember correctly, it is to live weak special hits that it is not 4x weak to such as Ice, Ground, and so on. I will be sure to mention this though, :)

Something else noteworthy that you could add is that investing in physical defense on Rhyperior is pretty inefficient considering its already massive base defense stat, and investing in defense doesn't really help with any particular threat afaik (especially with victini gone). I guess maybe like entei but that will just burn you anyways lol.

For the first set, mention that Rock Blast can also break through Subs, which can be useful in some cases (albeit not many since it has Roar, anyway). You can also mention Metal Burst in OO.

Other than that, this is good. QC 2/3

Swords Dance could be another option as well, although Rhyperior is far too slow and is too easily KOed by common special attackers to ever pull it off. Metal Burst can be an option to punish both physical and special attackers trying to overpower Rhyperior, however but it is unreliable for Pokemon trying to status or set up on Rhyperior.

Checks & Counters
########

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune and Swampert can tank most of Rhyperior's hits(comma) although they do not like switching into a Choice Band(dash)boosted Stone Edge or Earthquake. Mega Blastoise can also force it out with its STAB move and spin away its Stealth Rock.

**Chesnaught**: Chesnaught can wall Rhyperior's STAB moves and not only threaten it with a Grass-type STAB move, (remove comma) but also set up Spikes on it.

**Strong Special Attackers**: Chandelure, Nidoqueen, Kyurem(comma) and Shaymin can all threaten to KO Rhyperior even with its Special Defense investment.

**Fighting-type Wallbreakers**: Lucario and Choice Band Heracross can threaten to KO Rhyperior with their powerful Fighting-type STAB attacks.

**Burn**: Burn status halves Rhyperior's amazing Attack stat, crippling it for the rest of the match.
Thanks fren, :)

Overview
########

Rhyperior has a great base 140 Attack stat that allows it to hit hard with its STAB EdgeQuake combination.

While Rhyperior has a lot of pros, its flaws are prominent. Its However, Rhyperior's below-average base 55 Special Defense stat means it is very weak to special attacks, which is worsened by the fact that and its typing leaves it weak to common special attacking types such as Water, Grass, and Ice. It also has an abysmal base 40 Speed stat, meaning Rhyperior must always take a hit before it can proceed to do anything.

Great Wall of China
########
name: Great Wall of China (whatever the real name actually is, idk, 'Defensive'? 'Wall')
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Roar / Toxic / Protect
ability: Solid Rock
item: Leftovers
evs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SpD
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Earthquake is a great STAB move that grants Rhyperior decent neutral coverage in UU.

Set Details
========

The HP EVs allow Rhyperior to hit a Leftovers number, while the Attack EVs and an Adamant nature let it hit a jump point in its Attack stat. The rest is dumped into Special Defense because Rhyperior's high base Defense stat means investing in its physical defense bulk isn't as effective; also, the added special bulk allows it to survive some super effective hits that it isn't 4x weak to, such as Ice- and Ground-type attacks, thanks to Solid Rock. Solid Rock allows Rhyperior to tank a lot more hits and retaliate with its base 140 Attack. Leftovers gives Rhyperior a form of passive recovery, allowing it to continue being a threat throughout the match.

Usage Tips
========

This set can come in multiple times thanks to its nice bulk, allowing it to then set up Stealth Rock easily throughout the match. reduntant 'multiple times' + 'throughout' This set has to watch out for any stray Water- or Grass-type moves, as even a weak attack can severely cripple Rhyperior.

Team Options
========

This set appreciates Wish support from the likes of Florges and Vaporeon. Florges also provides Aromatherapy support, allowing it to ridding tbh it just sounds a bit jumbled to me; this is probs up to you Rhyperior of any status, while Vaporeon can provide Rhyperior with bigger Wishes and bring it in safely with a slow Baton Pass. This set also appreciates entry hazards removed, as Rhyperior can be worn down a lot quicker with entry hazards on its side of the field. Pokemon such as Crobat and Tentacruel can get rid of all entry hazards while synergizing fairly well with Rhyperior. I remove the 'Pokemon such as' because of how direct an example you are using, and the sentence is entirely that example. Those Pokemon don't have anything in common, so there's no other Pokemon in their group that can get rid of entry hazards and 'synergize well'. Therefore, Crobat and Tentacruel aren't really part of a 'family' but are just two direct examples. Electric- and Grass-types such as Heliolisk and Shaymin can threaten out the bulky Water-types that Rhyperior has a hard time hitting facing due to its fear of Scald and burn.

Rock Wrecker
########
name: Rock Wrecker (Offensive? whatever 'real' name)
move 1: Stone Edge
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Megahorn
move 4: Aqua Tail / Rock Blast / Ice Punch
ability: Solid Rock
item: Choice Band
evs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Stone Edge is a great STAB move, hitting common Pokemon such as Crobat and Mega Aerodactyl. Earthquake is another STAB move that complements Stone Edge, giving Rhyperior great neutral coverage. Megahorn is a great coverage move, hitting hits Grass-types and Psychic-types such as Chesnaught and Cresselia harder than Rhyperior's STAB moves.

Set Details
========

The Speed EVs allow Rhyperior to outspeed uninvested base 60 Speed Pokemon such as Empoleon, (RC) alternatively, to avoid turning 'while' into 'whereas', add another comma before 'such as'. while maximum Attack EVs allow Rhyperior to hit as hard as possible. The rest of the EVs are dumped into HP to give Rhyperior a bit of bulk. An Adamant nature boosts Rhyperior's already great Attack stat; Jolly serves no purpose, as Rhyperior is still going to be slower than most threats in UU and would much rather like have the wallbreaking power an Adamant nature provides. subjective but imo something shouldn't 'much rather like the power', cause it always likes the power. If you wanna keep like I'd suggest 'most threats in UU and likes the wallbreaking power'

Usage Tips
========

This set punches massive holes in the opposing team, allowing teammates to come in and clean up very easily. This set must be brought in safely, as Rhyperior cannot tank as many hits because it is invested in offenses rather than defenses.

Team Options
========

Grass- and Electric-types such as Shaymin and Heliolisk can threaten out the bulky Water-types that Rhyperior has a hard time hitting facing due to its fear of Scald and burn.

Other Options
