e:After about 5 or 6 listens I really think that this might be the best grime release since boy in da corner. Beat selection is excellent on about 13/16 songs and good enough on the others. JME spits so fuckin hard on every track, really didn't know he had it in him. Worth listening to if you're into hip-hop of any kind :oo

For anyone interested in japanese jazz-hop, Kenichiro Nishihara's 4th album "Jazzy Folklore" is coming out on the 27th, and is looking to be really good. His previous work is also really solid, and if you're a nujabes fan I can't recommend him more, especially since they used to work together quite often.

Ok Torres's Sprinter and Shamir's Rachet have both been great albums I've listened to recently (Torres's debut like 2 years ago was also excellent and on this one she worked with Steve Albini and some others who've worked with PJ Harvey). Liked Sprinter more but Rachet was still very fun and its peaks were infectious. Both are worth giving a spin to imo. Album I'm most hyped for is definitely the new Jamie xx album. All the songs he's released from it so far have been killer.

That Kamasi shit appears to be pretty cheesy although I still have to listen to it. Will do so sometime next month considering exams will be over and I got fuck all to do, I expect I'll find little of interest in it (making a 3 hour long jazz album and calling it "The Epic" is pretentious as fuck) but who knows. If I end up hating it I'll get to diss all the people who hyped it up.
The LUM tape is cray. Lots of great shit on there. Gotta say its length works against it somewhat, after a while it gets a little stale, but really fuckin solid overall.
Borisn recently released three new albums, they're japan exclusive but have been uploaded on the internet. They explore the more experimental side of Boris, with lots of noise and drone. Sadly not their greatest material, very unrefined, but they're worth a shot for anyone who's into Boris and their more experimental side in particular.

new napalm death is amazing yes. leviathan's scar sighted is also excellent, unleashed's dawn of the nine slightly less so but still solid. carrie & lowell was really good as well, I didn't think I'd like that one. viet cong was unspectacular. painted shut was horrific, as was individ. asap rocky was slightly less terrible than expected, tyler was surprisingly quite good, action bronson was decent I guess, joey badass was awesome.
hello, i think you are my soulmate. i totally agree with this 100%. i went to the lana del rey concert in AZ a few weeks ago and got the book, and it has lyrics to honeymoon in them! it's going to sound so beautiful i cry :<. i also heard a song on the album will be called "sky" on twitter. whether that's true or not is debatable, but if it i can just expect a smooth bop from lana. so excited!Lana Del Rey aka The Dalai Lana aka God new album will be out this September.

What was it that you didn't like about Painted Shut? To me it was a really solid indie rock record with powerful, emotional vocals and very strong songwriting both lyrically and musically. I know it's not doing anything new but it does what it does pretty well. Can't quite understand what was horrific about it :/
