[OVERVIEW]

Tornadus-T, thanks to its great speed tier and access to Regenerator, has once again become a potent threat in OU. While equipped with an Assault Vest, Tornadus-T becomes a great defensive pivot, handling many strong Special Attackers in the tier, including Gengar and Serperior. Although Assault Vest lacks power, it has the longevity, thanks to Regenerator, to be an asset to any team for the majority of a battle. Tornadus-T can also be a very powerful attacker, firing off Life Orb boosted Hurricanes, which isn't an easy thing to switch into. While Life Orb can be a very threatening thing to face, it misses the bulk provided by an Assault Vest, making it more difficult to switch into powerful Special Attackers. Even though it has good power, Hurricane, Torandus-T's main STAB, has major accuracy issues, which could be crucial in certain scenarios. Tornadus-T also doesn't appreciate Stealth Rocks, as takes a chunk out of the HP it recovered from Regenerator.

Assault Vest Pivot

move 2: Superpower / Focus Blast / Heat Wave
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: U-Turn

Moves
========

Hurricane provides Tornadus-T with a spammable STAB attack, firing off with decent power and a chance to confuse, albeit also having major accuracy issues. Even with the inaccuracy, Hurricane is still the best option to use on Tornadus-T, as neither Air Slash nor Acrobatics can compete with the power Hurricane provides. Superpower allows Tornadus-T to nail would-be checks such as Tyranitar and Heatran, as well as Excadrill, for big damage, preventing them from switching in safely. Focus Blast can alternatively be used over Superpower, as it allows Tornadus-T to hit Ferrothorn for more damage, while also not having to deal with accuracy drops or contact damage, but has major accuracy issues, which can wind up to be crucial. Heat Wave allows Torandus-T to nails Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Mega Scizor, all of which could be problematic to either Tornadus-T or your team, rather by countering Tornadus-T, setting up hazards, or threatening by setting up Swords Dances. U-turn is vital to Tornadus-T, allowing it to easily gain momentum after forcing out Pokemon that it checks, while recovering thanks to Regenerator.

Set Details
========

The given EVs allow you to OHKO Keldeo with Hurricane, which is vital as Torandus-T could then switch in and get 2HKO'd by a Specs Hydro Pump. Maximizing speed is far more valuable than running enough for Scarf Tyranitar, as max allows you to beat non-Mega Evolved Alakazam and tie with other Tornadus-T, which can be very important. Assault Vest allows Tornadus-T to comfortably take on very powerful special attackers, such as Gengar, Serperior, Keldeo, and Alakazam.

Usage Tips
========

- Torn-T should switch in to strong special attackers like Landorus, Gengar, and others
- Knock Off items from switchins

Team Options
========

- Slowbro covers some big physical threats, while Tornadus covers the special side well, also forming a Regenerator core
- Hazard control to increase lifespan
- Electric Types for VoltTurn as well as giving an Electric resist
- Landorus-Therian to handle Electric and Steel types as well as another uturn 'mon

Life Orb Attacker
name: Life Orb Attacker
move 1: Hurricane
move 2: Superpower / Focus Blast
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: U-Turn
item: Life Orb
ability: Regenerator
nature: Hasty
evs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- Hurricane is STAB and has great power, even with accuracy issues
- Superpower to hit Steel and Dark types like Tyranitar and Heatran for more damage and accuracy than Focus Blast
- Focus Blast to hit Ferrothorn for more damage and no defense drops, for the price of accuracy
- Knock Off removes common counters and switchins items, making it easier for them to be worn down or countered.
- U-turn for momentum
- Heat Wave to hit Mega Scizor and an accurate move for Ferrothorn without taking Iron Barbs damage or defense drops, as well as Skarmory
- Taunt to assist in wall breaking and prevent Pokemon from recovering on Tornadus

Set Details
========

- Life Orb to boost power
- EVs to OHKO Excadrill and Tyranitar with Superpower
- Should run an EV Spread of 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe if running Focus Blast > Superpower

Usage Tips
========

- Should not be played like the AV set, as it lacks the bulk to be a solid switchin to a lot of its answers.
- Has access to two very spammable moves in Knock Off and U-turn, as well as a very powerful Hurricane STAB
- Grabs momentum for team and allows some Pokemon that struggle to switch in an easy time

Team Options
========

- Hazard control to help with SR weakness and to help more with Regenerator, especially latios/latias as they check rotom-w too
- Politoed to induce rain and give 100% accurate Hurricanes
- Pokemon that get up hazards help wear down TornT's answers
- Ground types to switch into common TornT switchins
- Landorus-Therian to handle Electric and Steel types as well as another uturn 'mon

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- HP Ice / Icy Wind to counter Gliscor and have an accurate move to hit Landorus and Garchomp.
- Itemless Acrobatics can be used on an all physical set for an accurate Flying move. This also allows you to run Taunt without running Life Orb and taking unnecessary recoil damage.
- Iron Tail to nail Mega Diancie and lure Clefable for Life Orb Attacker.
- Grass Knot to lure Hippowdon

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric Types**: Electric types like Thundurus/raikou resist Hurricane and force torn to uturn. Zapdos and Rotom-W hard counter

**Offensive Checks**: Scarf mons such as Land-T, Garchomp, etc as well as Weavile, Mega Diancie, and Mega Aerodactyl are all able to handle Tornadus-T, but are unable to reliably switch in

**Flying Resists**: SDef Rachi beats LO without Heat Wave, SDef Skarmory counters sets without Heat Wave, Klefki forces Tornadus out or paralyzes it with Thunder Wave, and Mega Metagross who has no recovery but OHKOs after rocks

Iron Tail for M-Diancie and Clefable on its Life Orb set, OO. Elaborate more on the usage tips portion for each just explaining how AV is designed to provide somewhat of an offensive utility mon to remove items and enhance a teams end-game through said utility assets. Elaborate more on team options for AV and LO set. Stuff that appeciates the removal of mons like M-Venusaur, Celebi, along with taking advantage of AVs utility on stall teams and LOs ability to grab momentum for another partner to use.

QC 1/3 when this is done.

id bump icywind/hpice to moves since they're common enough and useful enough to be worth a higher mention than an acro set.

gknot hits rhyperior too

mention that heat wave also hits non sdef skarm

lando-t is a good partner for general uturning but it also checks a lot of the electric types that annoy tornt + rachi/klefki etc

you could elaborate on usage tips more in the write-up with stuff about the uturn dynamics and hurricane accuracy

Mega aerodactyl could use a mention in c&c when you write this up

I would also mention that heat wave should be preferred when the team is weak to spikes stacking skarm and has no way of removing hazards (maybe even slash worthy but arguable)

When mentioning slowbro as a parner you should probably mention the bad electric types weakness it stacks

Lando t also isnt too great for handling electrics and hippo is probably better for that

These are things that will likely be fixed in writeup, however

heat wave is such an amazing move on av tornt i'd slash it; hitting ferro, skarm, scizor are pretty good; and it gives Torn a strong BP attack to switch too if it just needs to hit something for neutral (like, say, thundurus-i if it's weakened enough, etc.). it's just as slash worthy as superpower and focus blast; you're just hitting different threats. arguably can u-turn on heatran / ttar easier with less reprecussions; letting Scizor set up +2, and Ferrothorn leech / hazards or skarm hazards is rough; heatran and ttar are only getting up the rocks anyway as opposed to ferro and skarm's spike stacking (altho if you're team weak obv it's a superior option, just noting how technically you dont need to hit them and hitting ferro, skarm, sciz could be seen as more important). it's for these reasons that'd i'd argue heat wave for slash.
