I have never gotten a Shiny before in all my years of playing Pokemon since the first release. How do you get them so easy?
In XY and ORAS, each egg has its own shiny value. You can get them checked here or at reddit's SVexchange. If you trade your egg to someone who matches that value, it hatches shiny in their game and the person trades it back to you.
That's pretty neat. Will using those things get your Pokemon or game flagged at all?
No, it's built into the game. When you get a shiny pokemon in the game, that pokemon's shiny value matches your game's. For example, my main save file on X has a shiny value of 2790, if someone bred an egg and found it's value to be 2790, it will hatch shiny if traded to my game.
