I'm actually in agreement with Aura Guardian now that I see that it is a valid move to forfeit. It may not be in the spirit of the game or completely fair to all parties involved or whatever but choosing to force sub two people instead of allowing them to forfeit is really silly in my opinion.

Instead of Maxim being subbed out, I propose that Italy will forfeit instead. That'd spice up this game without altering the power structure that much.
in the diplomacy rulebook, a 6 player game is played with italy starting out with anarchy, having italy Holding perpetually actually doesn't create a huge balance difference
In this game, it'd boost France a little but meanwhile it'd slow me down a little, which would maybe be enough of a compensation to Forte?
