Overview
########
  • Able to devastate Fire and Steel types using STAB Sheer Force, Life Orb boosted Earth power
  • Speed tier is not ideal, as although it beats the (formerly) important base 100 tier, it loses to the new fast tier of 110
  • Weak to two common attack types, water and ice
  • Works best on teams that like Fire and Steel types gone, Hail appreciates these pokemon being eliminated as they can take a few Blizzards or Giga Drains and easily beat Abomasnow / Ice types
  • Threatened by pretty much anything that outspeeds it and commonly carries Ice coverage, most notably things like Weavile, Mamoswine and Keldeo. Kyurem-B can take a hit from Lando and OHKO with Ice Beam, while Keldeo outspeeds and OHKOs with Scald. Mamoswine can KO with Ice shard, while Weavile can outspeed and KO with Icicle Crash
  • Using Lando-I does prevent you from using Lando-T, and this can be classed as a drawback
  • Lando-I's edge over other Ground types is that it gets a single target special ground move, is boosted by Sheer Force making it incredibly powerful, and allows you to use ground coverage without worrying about Earthquaking your own Pokemon

Life Orb Attacker
########
name: Life Orb Attacker
move 1: Earth Power
move 2: Sludge Bomb / Psychic
move 3: Hidden Power Ice / Rock Slide / Focus Blast
move 4: Protect
ability: Sheer Force
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
  • Earth Power is boosted by Sheer Force, allowing it to always OHKO Heatran through Shuca Berry
  • Sludge bomb beats fairy and grass types
  • Psychic can also hit Grass types such as Amoonguss, Breloom and Venusaur.
  • Rock Slide with the Sheer Force and Life Orb boost hits around the same damage as Scarfed Landorus-T, always OHKOing Charizard Y and Talonflame, and Focus Blast can always OHKO Mega Kangaskhan and standard Ferrothorn
  • Hidden Power Ice allows Landorus to hit Landorus-T
  • Protect keeps Landorus safe while a threat is eliminated by a partner or a field condition is stalled out

Set Details
========
  • 252 SpA EVs ensure maximum damage output coupled with Sheer Force
  • Max Speed EVs with a Timid nature lets you beat the base 100 tier
  • 4 spare EVs go into SpD
  • Sheer Force allows for Life Orb to be used with no recoil on moves boosted by Sheer Force

Usage Tips
========
  • Always OHKOing Heatran with Shuca Berries is great as it takes the guessing out of if it will live and fire back
  • Works best mid to late game when things that can outspeed and threaten it are removed, as Sheer Force Life Orb Earth Power will finish off almost anything under half health that doesn't resist
  • Slightly frail and doesn't take neutral hits well
  • Weak to speed control for above reason, it likes to move first to do its damage, attempt to net a KO and avoid taking a hit back

Team Options
========
  • Steel-types such as Aegislash or Mega Metagross like Fire and Steel-types being obliterated by Earth Power, while they can remove Ice-types such as Kyurem-B
  • Cresselia or Jirachi can use Icy Wind or Thunder Wave to slow down a faster threat, and also provide Helping Hand to net a KO thats out of reach, Jirachi can also switch in to Ice attacks for Landorus
  • Bulky water types to switch-in to water and ice types, Suicune is nice as it has tailwind or icy wind and can beat most ice types. Rotom-W can beat ice and water types, and Landorus can beat grass types for them both with sludge bomb. Ludicolo beats water types and can deal with ice types pretty well
  • Thundurus-I can provide speed control with thunder wave, taunt speed control / follow me users while Landorus can beat electric types that Thundy can't hit
  • Landorus appreciates speed control, so Tailwind is useful. Zapdos can beat bulky water types
  • Talonflame can remove the Grass types that resist Earth Power, aswell as dealing with Swift Swim Ludicolo and Shaymin Sky
  • Shaymin Sky can also beat bulky water types, as can Breloom
  • Mega Abomasnow appreciates things like Heatran and Aegislash being removed so it can spam Blizzard without worrying about Steel or Fire types resisting them

Other Options
########
  • Substitute can be used as Landorus forces alot of switches and protects
  • Landorus-I's movepool is incredibly shallow and it shouldn't really be using anything thats not on the main set bar sub
  • Choice Scarf is an option to surprise some things like Landorus-T

[OVERVIEW]

Landorus is able to destroy Fire- and Steel-types using its combination of Sheer Force, Life Orb, and STAB Earth Power. It works well on teams that appreciate Fire- and Steel-types removed, such as hail teams, as threats to hail teams such as Heatran and Aegislash are able to easily stand up to Blizzard and Giga Drain. While Landorus is able to outspeed fully invested base 100 Speed Pokemon, it is threatened by Pokemon that can outspeed it and commonly carry an Ice- or Water-type move, such as Weavile, Mamoswine, and Keldeo. Also, using Landorus means you can't use Landorus-T, which can be classed as a drawback because Landorus has no defensive ability. Landorus's edge over other Ground-types is that it has access to a single-target special Ground-type move that is boosted by Sheer Force, making it incredibly powerful. Unlike Earthquake, Earth Power allows Landorus to threaten Aegislash without worrying about Wide Guard and use Ground-type coverage without worrying about hitting teammates. Landorus also doesn't suffer from a drop in power due to Intimidate or burns.

Moves
========

Earth Power gains a boost from Sheer Force, meaning it is able to always OHKO Shuca Berry Heatran. Sludge Bomb deals big damage to Fairy- and Grass-types, and Psychic can also hit Grass-types such as Amoonguss, Breloom, and Venusaur. Hidden Power Ice provides coverage and is mainly used for Landorus-T. Rock Slide is another option; with the Sheer Force and Life Orb boosts, it always OHKOes Mega Charizard Y and Talonflame. On the other hand, Focus Blast can always OHKO Mega Kangaskhan and standard Ferrothorn. Protect keeps Landorus safe for the turn and stalls out opposing Tailwind and Trick Room.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs paired with Sheer Force allow for maximum damage output. 252 Speed EVs ensure Landorus outspeeds base 100 Speed Pokemon. The 4 spare EVs go into Special Defense. Life Orb boosts the power of Landorus's attacks with secondary effects, and Sheer Force means that Landorus won't take Life Orb recoil when using such moves.

Usage Tips
========

Landorus's ability to always OHKO Shuca Berry Heatran is great, as it takes the guessing out of whether Heatran will survive and hit back or not. Landorus works best mid- and late-game when foes that can outspeed and threaten it have been removed, as Sheer Force- and Life Orb-boosted Earth Power will finish off almost anything under half health that doesn't resist it. Landorus is frail and doesn't take neutral hits well, so it is not a great switch-in most of the time. Its good defensive typing is rendered almost useless due to its frailty, and its Electric-type immunity is almost useless because most Electric-types carry Hidden Power Ice or are immune to Ground, such as Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Thundurus, and other Electric-types, such as Raikou and Mega Manectric, outspeed it. Its resistance to Fighting doesn't help much either, as Terrakion's Close Combat followed by a Rock Slide 2HKOes Landorus, so it can't switch in. It is vulnerable to speed control, as it likes to move first to attempt to get a KO without suffering a hit back.

Team Options
========

Steel-types such as Aegislash and Mega Metagross like Landorus's ability to obliterate Fire-and Steel-types with Earth Power, and they can remove Ice-types such as Kyurem-B for Landorus. Cresselia and Jirachi can use Icy Wind or Thunder Wave to slow down a faster threat and use Helping Hand to let Landorus net a KO that would otherwise be out of its reach. Jirachi can also switch in to Ice-type attacks for Landorus. Thundurus is able to use Thunder Wave to slow threats down and Taunt to stop opposing speed control users, while Landorus beats the Electric-types that Thundurus can't. Bulky Water-types to switch into Water- and Ice-types for Landorus are appreciated. Suicune is a nice example, as it has access to Tailwind and Icy Wind and can beat most Ice-types; Rotom-W can beat Ice- and Water-types as well. Landorus can beat Grass-types for them both with Sludge Bomb. Ludicolo can beat Water-types and can deal with Ice-types pretty well. Zapdos beats Water-types and can provide Tailwind to allow Landorus to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame. Shaymin-S and Breloom also beat Water-types. Mega Abomasnow appreciates Fire- and Steel-type foes such as Heatran and Aegislash being removed so that it can spam Blizzard without worrying about them switching in, so it appreciates Landorus as a partner.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Landorus forces a lot of switches with its powerful moves, so Substitute can be used to catch opponents off-guard. Landorus has a shallow movepool and shouldn't really be using anything not listed on the main set besides that. It can also run a Choice Scarf to surprise foes such as Landorus-T.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Typing Advantage**: Rotom-W is immune to Earth Power and can easily survive any of Landorus's coverage moves and OHKO it back with Hydro Pump. Kyurem-B can survive a hit and OHKO with Ice Beam, and the Choice Scarf variant can outspeed and OHKO without worry. Keldeo can OHKO with a Life Orb-boosted Scald, while Icy Wind has an 81% chance to OHKO and will also drop Landorus's teammate's Speed. Politoed, Gyarados, Suicune, Jellicent, and Ludicolo can all take a hit and KO with their STAB moves. Landorus is threatened by different Pokemon depending on its coverage. If it doesn't have Sludge Bomb, it will struggle to deal with Fairy-types. If it has Focus Blast, Flying-types become an issue. Finding out what coverage Landorus is carrying is important before sending in something to deal with it.

**Speed**: Mamoswine can OHKO with Ice Shard, and Weavile can outspeed and OHKO with Ice Punch. Talonflame takes a large chunk out of Landorus's HP with Brave Bird, but it is easily KOed by recoil and an attack. Mega Metagross KOs with Ice Punch, while offensive Thundurus, Raikou, and Mega Manectric outspeed and OHKO Landorus with Hidden Power Ice. Darkrai and Gengar can hit hard with Icy Wind and drop Landorus's Speed, leaving it open to attack. Landorus doesn't have a lot of bulk, so be careful switching it in.

**Speed Control**: Landorus has a very poor matchup against Trick Room, as it can't do much to Cresselia, which can either take a hit and use Trick Room or attack Landorus with Ice Beam. Mega Abomasnow can destroy Landorus with Blizzard while Trick Room is up. Mega Mawile has a 69% chance to OHKO with Play Rough. Zapdos can take a hit and set up Tailwind, putting Landorus in a bad position, or simply OHKO Landorus with Hidden Power Ice. Suicune can get Tailwind up, use Snarl to weaken Landorus, or OHKO it with Ice Beam. In general, a lot of slower Pokemon with powerful STAB moves beat Landorus that normally wouldn't while Trick Room or Tailwind is up, as Landorus is fairly frail.

some suggestions (i'm not qc)

Overview
########
  • Its speed tier isn't fantastic, (outsped by base 110)
  • Just enough to outspeed and oust the field of base 100 threats, mainly Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Charizard Y

Life Orb Attacker
########
name: Life Orb Attacker
move 1: Earth Power
move 2: Psychic / Sludge Bomb
move 3: Rock Slide / Focus Blast / Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Protect
ability: Sheer Force
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Naive / Timid

Moves
========
  • Psychic should be slashed before Sludge Bomb because Sludge Bomb is a lot more situational; it's only for Fairy-types and slower Grass-types, although Psychic already is supereffective on the more common slower grass-types (see: Amoonguss, Breloom, Venusaur...)

Team Options
========
  • Well-accompanied by Tailwind setters, as Landorus's speed isn't fantastic and could use some boosting
  • Talonflame is a good option to get rid of faster Grass-types like Shaymin-Sky and Ludicolo
  • Grass-types of your own, like Shaymin-Sky and Breloom, can be used to get rid of bulky Water-types

Other Options

OVERVIEW
- Its Speed (as xzern said) and weakness to common attack types (Ice and Water) is what really holds it back, it's strong though. Don't just say Ice, as Water coverage is far more common and far more threatening from the defensive side, though surprise HP Ices are dangerous too
- Kyurem-B isn't as much of a threat because Focus Blast OHKOs 75% of the time; more threatening are things that can outspeed like Weavile / Mamoswine and fast mons with Ice coverage like Metagross and Thundurus.
- The line about hitting Shuca Tran is kind of off the mark... first off, hitting Shuca Tran is only a small part of the entire reason why anyone would use Lando-I; more specifically, Lando is appealing because of its unique Speed tier and powerful coverage. Also, Lando-I and Lando-T have drastically different niches, so it would be misleading to state that one of them outclasses the other / is better at serving a specific purpose, as one is a bulky spread attacking pivot while the other is a single target special wallbreaker. However, you do have to mention that using Lando-I prevents you from using Lando-T, which is the other main drawback of Lando-I.
--> If you absolutely MUST compare it with other Ground-types, certainly mention that it is unique because 1. it's Ground-type SPECIAL STAB 2. it's single target!!! so no worrying about EQ compatibility 3. it's powerful af

SET
Is Naive even worth it? Timid 4 Atk LO Rock Slide still OHKOs Zard Y and Talonflame 100% of the time with a lot of room to spare. The only difference is if you're at -1, but -1 4 Atk Naive doesn't OHKO either of them 100% either, so it isn't worth it. The difference in bulk is also minimal, but I mean hey you survive Keldeo's LO Icy Wind a lot more frequently, as well as avoid the 2HKO from Timid Sash LO Skymin Air Slash, so it would probably come in handy a lot more frequently than the ability to OHKO at -1.

MOVES
- For HP Ice, you should only mention that it hits Lando-T; Hydreigon is OHKOd by Focus Blast and 2HKOd by Sludge Bomb anyway, and using those moves would be better since no LO recoil.

SET DETAILS
- Another SUPER minor nitpick but 4 extra EVs should go in SpDef if not into Atk; putting them in HP gives u a non LO hp number (just in case u lose ur ability. you never know) and putting the EVs in SpDef is better for optimization anyway. It would also save you the effort of saying again "4 EVs go into SpDef if you use HP Ice." But again minimal difference just wanted to point it out

TEAM OPTIONS
- Bulky Water-types to stalemate Ice and Water types. Suicune definitely deserves a mention because it has Icy Wind, Tailwind, and the ability to beat most Ice-types. Rotom-W, too, nails Water-types and Ice-types very well. Lando can beat the Grasses with Sludge Bomb. Ludicolo to beat Water-types and check Ice-types.
- More Speed control - Thundurus-I for TWave and the ability to hit Electric-types. Taunt stops opposing Speed control and redirection, which can be pretty annoying for Landorus to have to deal with

CHECKS AND COUNTERS
- More examples!! Pretty much any bulky Water-type works tbh. Gyarados works, Politoed works, Suicune works, Jellicent works, Ludicolo can easily tank anything bar Sludge Bomb and OHKO.
- For typing advantage, also mention that it depends on Lando's coverage. If it doesn't have Sludge Bomb, bulky Fairies will easily do the trick (especially Togekiss.) If it has Focus Blast, Flying-types such as Gyarados or Zard Y can tank a hit or two and OHKO back. Be sure to note that it is important to scout for coverage before attempting to send one of those checks in.

- Don't say priority; say **Speed**, as priority isn't a tag name and it's not just priority that threatens Lando, anyway. Weavile works but shouldn't be using priority; Ice Punch seals the deal much more efficiently. Mkang is a poor check so I wouldn't list it; instead talk about everything that outspeeds Landorus and can hit it super effectively. Mega Metagross OHKOs with Ice Punch, Keldeo OHKOs with Water STAB, offensive Thundurus / Mega Manectric / Raikou OHKO with HP Ice. Gengar / Darkrai can run Icy Wind to function as a check and only fears Psychic, and the Latis fear nothing but Sludge Bomb / HP Ice and can OHKO with LO Draco. There are a lot of things because nearly every Pokemon that outspeeds Lando can come near close to OHKOing it lol just be careful of switching in

- In Speed Control, also mention that Icy Wind lowers its speed and hits it for a lot of damage so there's that.

My personal preferences on slashes:

Sludge Bomb ahead of Psychic
Focus Blast last, after Rock Slide and HP Ice

Reasoning: Landorus at least outruns some Fairies, whereas it doesn't outrun almost any important Fightings/Poisons. Gengar and Venusaur in the Sun outrun. Keldeo outruns. Terrak is hit harder by EP. Scrafty is immune. It's basically for Amoonguss (fair point), Hitmontop (who can't do anything back anyway, so EP is more or less sufficient), Conkeldurr (usually Assault Vest anyway), and Mega Venusaur (rare). Sludge Bomb instead hits Togekiss, Aromatisse, Gardevoir, and Sylveon, (and kinda Azumarill tho Aqua Jet) and is the most generally solid neutral option for things like Latios, Hydreigon, or Cresselia.

tl;dr Sludge Bomb ahead of Psychic bc you're trading Amoonguss, and kinda Hitmontop, Conkeldurr, and Mega Venu for Togekiss, Gardevoir, Sylveon, Aromatisse, and kinda Azumarill, Latios, Hydreigon, and Cresselia.

And I'd put Focus Blast last. I'd take the 90% and 100% against S/A+ type threats (Char and Lando-T) over 70% (Kanga) any day.

More full check eventually... the slashes were just bothering me

  • Landorus-I is able to destroy Fire- and Steel-types using its combination of Sheer Force, Life Orb and STAB Earth Power. Its speed tier, while able to beat the formerly fast base 100 tier, loses to the new faster speed tier of 110 in ORAS.

^more than just 110s. It loses to most anything that maximizes its speed, like the 108s, 110s, and 120+ things. Also gets outrun by literally anything boosted. It's only good for outrunning things that don't maximize speed (which any 100 already does) with the regrettably SMALL benefit that it also outruns 100s. Its speed tier, in short, is not as nice as you're implying here.

  • It has weaknesses to common offensive types in Water and Ice. Landorus-I works well on team that appreciate Fire- and Steel-types removed, such as Hail, as things like Heatran and Aegislash are able to easily stand up to Blizzards and Giga Drains. Landorus is threatened by anything that can outspeed it and commonly carries Ice-type coverage, such as Weavile, Mamoswine and Keldeo.

^Keldeo? Icy Wind isn't that common and it can Scald/Hydro anyway. And on Weavile and Mamoswine it's not coverage, it's STAB.

  • Using Landorus-I means you can't use Landorus-T, which can be classed as a drawback.

^True, but be clear that they fill very different roles. Lando-I provides zero defensive utility and is just a powerful offensive threat, not a glue/pivot.

  • Lando-I's edge over other Ground-types is that it gets a single target special Ground-type move, is boosted by Sheer Force making it incredibly powerful, and allows you to use Ground-type coverage without worrying about Earthquaking your own Pokemon.

^also not susceptible to intimidate and burns, and hits Aegislash like a Mack Truck

  • Landorus is frail and doesn't take neutral hits well, so is not a great swtich-in most of the time.

^Gotta talk about how its "good typing" is useless defensively because of frailty. Its electric immunity is basically useless as every electric carries a way to hit Grounds (HP Ice, Hydro Pump) and all are ground immune (Zapdos, Thundurus, Rotom-W) or faster (Raikou, Mega Manectric) anyway. Fighting resistance not much help either as Terrakion still 2hkoes with CC followed by Rock Slide iirc, and Keldeo is obviously not something you can switch in on.

[OVERVIEW]

Landorus-I is able to destroy Fire- and Steel-types using its combination of Sheer Force, Life Orb(comma) and STAB Earth Power. It While being able to beat max speed base 100s, it loses to anything that maximizes its speed like base 108s, 110s and Pokemon base 120 Speed and above. It has weaknesses to common offensive types in Water and Ice. (moved this below for a more logical ordering) Landorus-I works well on teams that appreciate Fire- and Steel-types removed, such as hail teams Hail, as threats to hail teams such as things like Heatran and Aegislash are able to easily stand up to Blizzards and Giga Drains. While Landorus is able to outspeed fully invested base 100 Speed Pokemon, it Landorus is threatened by Pokemon anything that can outspeed it and commonly carry carries an Ice- or Water-type move, such as Weavile, Mamoswine(comma) and Keldeo. Mamoswine can use Ice Shard to bypass speed, Weavile can outspeed and OHKO with Icicle Crash and Keldeo can OHKO with Scald. (too detailed for Overview imo; keep it to the Checks & Counters section) Also, using Landorus-I means you can't use Landorus-T, which can be classed as a drawback because as Landorus has no defensive ability. Landorus's Lando-I's edge over other Ground-types is that it has access to gets a single(dash)target special Ground-type move, that is boosted by Sheer Force(comma) making it incredibly powerful, and. Unlike Earthquake, Earth Power allows you Landorus to threaten Aegislash without worrying about Wide Guard and use Ground-type coverage without worrying about hitting teammates Earthquaking your own Pokemon. It Landorus also doesn't suffer from a drop in power due to Intimidate or burns, and threatens to OHKO Aegislash without worrying about Wide Guard.

Earth Power gains a boost from Sheer Force, meaning it is able to always OHKO Heatran that carry Shuca Berry. Sludge Bomb does big damage to Fairy- and Grass-types, while Psychic can also hit Grass(dash)types such as Amoonguss, Breloom(comma) and Venusaur. Hidden Power Ice provides coverage and is mainly used for Landorus-T. Rock Slide is another option; with the Sheer Force and Life Orb boosts, it always OHKOes Mega hits around the same damage as Scarfed Landorus-T, always OHKOing Charizard Y and Talonflame,(period) On the other hand, Focus Blast can always OHKO Mega Kangaskhan and standard Ferrothorn. Hidden Power Ice is coverage mainly used for Landorus-T. (moved above to match set order) Protect keeps Landorus safe for the turn and stalls out opposing Tailwind and Trick Room.

252 Special Attack EVs paired with Sheer Force allow for maximum damage output. 252 Speed EVs ensure Landorus outspeeds you outspeed base 100s Speed Pokemon. The 4 spare EVs go into Special Defense. Life Orb boosts the power of Landorus's attacks with secondary effects, and Sheer Force means that Landorus won't take moves with secondary effects don't take Life Orb recoil when using such moves.

Usage Tips
========

Landorus's ability to always OHKO Shuca Berry Always OHKOing Heatran with Shuca Berries is great(comma) as it takes the guessing out of if it whether Heatran will survive and hit back. Landorus works best mid to late game mid- and late-game when foes things that can outspeed and threaten it have been are removed, as Sheer Force Life Orb Earth Power will finish off almost anything under half health that doesn't resist it. Landorus is frail and doesn't take neutral hits well, so it is not a great switch-in most of the time. Its good defensive typing is rendered almost useless due to its frailty frailness, and its Electric-type immunity is almost useless because as most Electric-types carry Hidden Power Ice and / or are immune to Ground, such as like Rotom-W, Zapdos(comma) and Thundurus. Other Electric-types such as Others like Raikou and Mega Manectric outspeed it. Its resistance to Fighting-type doesn't help much either, as a Terrakion's Close Combat followed by a Rock Slide 2HKOes Landorus, is a 2HKO so it can't switch in. It is vulnerable to speed control as it likes to move first to attempt to get a KO without suffering a hit back. (after a while this paragraph starts to just sound like a Checks & Counters section, when it should focus more on how to use Landorus effectively. the first three sentences are good in that regard, but the sentences after that, not so much; try to do something about that?)

Team Options
========

Steel-types such as Aegislash or and Mega Metagross like Landorus's ability to obliterate Fire(dash) and Steel-types being obliterated by with Earth Power, while they can remove Ice-types such as Kyurem-B for Landorus. Cresselia or and Jirachi can use Icy Wind or Thunder Wave to slow down a faster threat, (remove comma) and also provide Helping Hand to let Landorus net a KO thats would otherwise be out of its reach,(change to semicolon or period, up to you) Jirachi can also switch in to Ice-type attacks for Landorus. Thundurus-I is able to use Thunder Wave to slow threats down using Thunder Wave and Taunt to stop opposing speed control users, while Landorus beats the Electric-types that Thundurus can't. Bulky Water-types to switch-in switch into Water(dash) and Ice-types for Landorus are appreciated. Suicune is a nice example, (comma) as it has access to Tailwind or and Icy Wind and can beat most Ice-types.; (semicolon) Rotom-W can beat Ice- and Water-types as well., and Landorus can beat Grass-types for them both with Sludge Bomb. Ludicolo can beat Water-types and can deal with Ice-types pretty well. Zapdos beats Water-types and can provide Tailwind to allow Landorus to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame, and also beats Water-types. Shaymin-Sky and Breloom also beat Water-types. Mega Abomasnow appreciates Fire- and Steel-type foes such as things like Heatran and Aegislash being removed so that it can spam Blizzard without worrying about them switching in, so it appreciates Landorus as a partner Steel- or Fire-types resisting them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Landorus forces a lot of switches with its powerful moves, so Substitute can be used to catch opponents off(dash)guard. Landorus has a shallow movepool and shouldn't really be using anything not listed on the main set besides that maybe Substitute. It can also run a Choice Scarf to surprise foes such as things like Landorus-T.

Checks & Counters
===================

**Typing Advantage**: Rotom-W is immune to Earth Power and can easily survive any of Landorus's coverage moves, (remove comma) and OHKO back with Hydro Pump. Kyurem-B can live survive a hit and OHKO with Ice Beam, and the Choice Scarf variant can outspeed and OHKO without worry. Keldeo can OHKO with a Life Orb-boosted Scald, while Icy Wind has an 81% chance to OHKO and will also drop Landorus's teammate's Speed your team mates speed. Politoed, Gyarados, Suicune, Jellicent(comma) and Ludicolo can all take a hit and KO with their STABs moves. Landorus is threatened by different Pokemon depending on its coverage. If it doesn't have Sludge Bomb, it will struggle to deal with Fairy-types. If it has Focus Blast, Flying-types become an issue to damage. Finding out what coverage Landorus is carrying is important before sending in something to deal with it.

**Speed**: Mamoswine can OHKO with Ice Shard, and Weavile can outspeed and OHKO with Ice Punch. Talonflame Brave Bird takes a large chunk out of Landorus's HP with Brave Bird, however but it is easily KO'd KOed by recoil and an attack. Mega Metagross KOs with Ice Punch, while offensive Thundurus-I, Raikou(comma) and Mega Manectric outspeed and OHKO Landorus with Hidden Power Ice. Darkrai and Gengar can hit hard with Icy Wind, (remove comma) and drop Landorus's Speed, leaving it open to attack. Landorus doesn't have a(space)lot of bulk(comma) so be careful switching it in.

**Speed Control**: Landorus has a very poor matchup against is very weak to Trick Room(comma) as it can't do much vs to Cresselia, which and it can either take a hit and use Trick Room, (remove comma) or attack Landorus with Ice Beam back if it is carrying it. In general(comma) a(space)lot of things slower Pokemon with powerful STAB moves beat Landorus that normally wouldn't while Trick Room or Tailwind is up(comma) as Landorus is fairly frail. Tailwind is also an issue because of Landorus low defenses. Zapdos can OHKO with Hidden Power Ice, Or live a hit and put Tailwind up, putting Landorus in a bad position. Suicune can get Tailwind up, Snarl to weaken Landorus, or OHKO with Ice Beam. (moved to earlier in the paragraph)

Sludge Wave hits your partners aswell, you won't want to be losing power on opponents due to spread reduction, aswell as hitting your partners with LO Sheer Force boosted moves.

Rhythms if you're going to check this, wait until tomorrow when I've implemented the 1/2 check please.

That way you can do a 2/2 check and I can finish it up.

[OVERVIEW]

Landorus-I is able to destroy Fire- and Steel-types using its combination of Sheer Force, Life Orb, (AC) (comma)and STAB Earth Power. Landorus's edge over other Ground-types is that it has access to a single-target special Ground-type move, (RC) that is boosted by Sheer Force, making it incredibly powerful. Unlike Earthquake, Earth Power allows Landorus to threaten Aegislash without worrying about Wide Guard and use Ground-type coverage without worrying abouthitting about hitting teammates. Landorus also doesn't suffer from a drop in power due to Intimidate or burns.

Moves

Earth Power gains a boost from Sheer Force, meaning it is able to always OHKO Shuca Berry Heatran that carry Shuca Berry. Sludge Bomb does deals big damage to Fairy- and Grass-types, while and Psychic can also hit Grass-types such as Amoonguss, Breloom, and Venusaur.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs paired with Sheer Force allow for maximum damage output. 252 Speed EVs ensureLandorus ensure Landorus outspeeds base 100 Speed Pokemon. The 4 spare EVs go into SpecialDefense Special Defense. Life Orb boosts the power of Landorus's attacks with secondary effects, and Sheer Force means that Landorus won't take Life Orb recoil when using such moves.

Usage Tips
========

Landorus's ability to always OHKO Shuca Berry Heatran is great, as it takes the guessing out of whether Heatran will survive and hit back or not. Landorus works best mid- and late-game when foes that can outspeed and threaten it have been removed, as Sheer Force- (Add hyphen) and Life Orb-boosted Earth Power will finish off almost anything under half health that doesn't resist it. Landorus is frail and doesn't take neutral hits well, so it is not a great switch-in most of the time. Its good defensive typing is rendered almost useless due to its frailty, and its Electric-type immunity is almost useless because most Electric-types carry Hidden Power Ice or are immune to Ground, such as Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Thundurus, (AC) and other. (Remove Period) Other Electric-types, (AC) such as Raikou and Mega Manectric, (AC) outspeed it. Its resistance to Fighting doesn't help much either, as Terrakion's Close Combat followed by a Rock Slide 2HKOes Landorus, so it can't switch in.
