To be fair it's a lot closer than you give it credit for. Since Tyrunt has to hit both Stone Edges that's a 64% chance for Tyrunt to win, then factor in the small chance of Spritzee OHKOing and it comes up to a 40.1% chance for Spritzee to win. Still not enough though.

Here's some interesting math you probably don't care about and isn't really neccesary for this but I wanted to do it.

Tyrunt's best move is actually Fire Fang because it can burn and flinch. On the switch Tyrunt has a 10% chance to burn. Next turn Tyrunt outspeeds, gets another 10% chance to burn and also has a 10% chance to flinch on top of that. While if it fails to either burn or flinch in those two turns Snubbull is likely to win regardless since Tyrunt has to rely on flinches from that point because Play Rough does enough damage to make a burn not helpful, it's still the best odds Tyrunt's going to get. I'm also not going to do this math all the way out because this isn't WLPlocke and screw that noise, but it becomes about a 24.46% chance in those first two turns for Tyrunt to win

1.0 [base] - (.9*.9)[burn chance failure over two turns]*(.9)[flinch chance failure] = .271 or 27.1% chance
.271*(.95*.95)[fire fang's hit odds over two turns] = .2446 or 24.46% chance.

It then blows up into whether or not Thunder Wave (removes flinch chance, adds a chance for Tyrunt to not move, if Play Rough hits can't be screwed over by burn anyways), Earthquake (can't miss, 2HKOs), or Play Rough (small chance to OHKO, is a better option in case of next turn burn, can lower Tyrunt's attack, chance to miss) is best. I'm pretty sure Play Rough is the best choice, but I did some Thunder Wave stuff and it's kinda close. Either way it's less than 50% chance for Tyrunt to win.
