The Gym Leader Birkal, went for the damage race with STAB water attacks. But a Hydro Pump miss and a close call on a burn, dented the Gym Leader's chances a little in this battle.

The Challenger saw the Rocky Helmet, but ignored it. Something that surprised quite a few in the audience. Although, his strategy seem to be working, he still needs to find a way to KO the Aquatic Legendary before Keldeo finds a way through Ra's al Ghul's Defense.
