While I do agree that the forced sky-battle pose is weird and did more harm than good (especially since the grounded models all appear in pokemon-amie anyway), Xatu's is more along the the lines of "so bad, it's good" for me.Hmm, I can't say I'm a fan of flying models for the sake of Sky Battles. Most of them look very unnatural and forced, especially those huge gliding Pokemon which make you wonder how they can even keep aloft without flapping their wings or going at high speed.
To make things worse, most of them actually looked really cool back as grounded sprite, with Tropius being one of my favorite designs from Gen 3. Now they just appear to be hanging lazily from invisible strings. :/

This over world sprite. It's not bad in general, but this is the reason it's bad.
They didn't bother to make a separate sprite for the female trainer. It's not much of an issue, but from the side I swear that it has a beard.

I'd forgotten that Ditto was in the credits. In that case, since it was an animated sprite I can sort of forgive it.
This is all I could find for it, but the party sprite in DPP and before is horrid for Psyduck. It... it looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame to me for some reason.

I just can't find the right words to describe the facial expression of Skarmory,
here's an image which will perhaps describe what I see. The animation in Emerald makes it go whoop-whoop.

I think this issue was with all the Rhino, Dino and RhinoDino pokémon in gen 6. ITalking about a tail that's just sticking out...
Since this is my third post here, i'll take a sip from my "shut the hell up" mug and edit my posts until tomorrow, when I'll continue barfing my hatred of these horrible sprites. Sorry about the long posts.

That Golbat sprite actually isn't too bad; I would've taken that over the R/B one any day of the week.

Yeah, but RB Golbat has appeared a lot over here, and these are all just Pokemon Green sprites.
The thing I can't understand is, why didn't they use a perfect sprite and changed it into a horrible one in Gen1?
