Hello there, I'm BigWigs. The reason I made this thread was due to the lack of players in the CAP Metagame, and I felt like if users could request and get their own teams in CAP, much like in the main metagames, whether they're not pleased with the Sample Teams or have difficulty with teambuilding for themselves, it could attract more people into CAP. For this reason, I gathered some of CAP's best players/teambuilders to help people with building teams that would suit their preferences.

Rules:

- Have a one paragraph description with the set / core you want us to build around and a slight idea of what kind of team you want the end result to be. Also, actually have the set(s) you want us to use in your post. This makes the process of building teams faster for all of us here.
- Do not post asking us to make use of unviable Pokemon. This is not a competition to see how good we are at team building; this is us trying to educate people on what is good and how to build effective teams. Basically, Pokemon on the CAP viability rankings (low-ranked ones are fine for me as well) are what you should be looking at.
- Please note that we can choose to ignore requests for extremely generic sets and / or cores as well as cores that have already been built around.
- Do not flame people for asking for a certain Pokemon or that they can't build one themselves.
- Each user is allowed one request per week and any user found requesting multiple will have their post deleted and may see further punishment.
- I'll close the thread to requests once all of us hit 3 requests at a time.
- Please remember that these teams are first drafts and as such will not be perfect. Edit them as you please.
- On that note, you are free (and highly encouraged) to suggest and post changes / critiques you've made to already posted teams that you feel improve them.
- However, you are not allowed to post your own teams here to have us modify them. We're here to build new teams, not modify older ones. If you want your own teams critiqued and modified, post them as an RMT in the CAP Metagame Forums, not here.

hi there! i play cap on occasion but don't do it too frequently due to a lack of metagame knowledge that keeps me from being able to build around fun stuff, so i was hoping that you guys could build me a team around malaconda. he's my favorite cap because the art is done by my friend dracoyoshi8, but i've never been able to make him work =(

hmm...can i possibly request a team based on Bulk Up Revenankh? Here is the set:
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Drain Punch
move 3: Shadow Sneak
move 4: Moonlight / Rest / Earthquake / Ice Punch
item: Leftovers
ability: Shed Skin
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD

I'll let you choose moveslot 4, since i guess that depends on my team.

It would be great if my team was a typical balance team, also it would be great if my team had a good way to counter or check Cawmodore, and also it would be great if my team also had a Tomohawk that has a moveset of SR/Rapid Spin/Roost/Air Slash.

Thanks so much!

P.S: Also, it might be great if you add gday and viperfang4 to the list of teambuilders, they are not so active on the forums but they are fantastic battlers and are very skilled in the CAP Metagame, so they could certainly help!

Rev is the focus of this team, with the rest of the team built to support it. I chose Moonlight for Rev in order to set up on special attackers like Mollux much more easily. Colossoil can Pursuit trap Psychic types like Metagross that would hit Revenankh super effectively, while also killing Gothitelle effectively. Clefable is a Thunder Wave variant used to cripple its common switchins, such as Scizor, making them easier to defeat. It's also one of the three Pokemon I use to hurt Tomohawk hard, which causes severe problems for Revenankh. Metagross is the Stealth rocker, as it can force tons of switches, and its last moveslot was empty, and I needed a stealth rock user. Also kills Tomohawk, opposing Metagross lacking Earthquake, and Fairies. Landorus-T was chosen as my Choice Scarf user for grabbing momentum and revenge killing Pokemon such as Charizard-X and Y, Krilowatt, Cyclohm, and many others. Krilowatt is a Birdspam check, Char-Y check, Tomohawk killer, and a good Water-type that has some power and coverage behind it.

It isn't recommended to set-up Rev until Tomohawk, fairies, Talonflame, Arghonaught, and other checks are gone. Rarely should you switch Revenankh in, unless you need it to force a switch or block a Rapid Spin. If you need Revenakh to spinblock reliably, 136 EVs can be moved from Special Defense into Defense, to block Colossoil's Rapid Spin, as Assault Vest Colossoil cannot 2HKO Revenankh with that spread.

This is really cool. Great idea, great execution - good job all round.

I'd like to request a team based around Serperior. Preferably VoltTurn.

gday, here's your Mega Medicham team:

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Fake Out
- Bullet Punch

Necturna @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Forewarn
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Sticky Web
- Power Whip
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Sneak

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Sylveon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Baton Pass

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature

- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

Volkraken @ Choice Specs
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Hydro Pump
- Flash Cannon
- Power Gem

As you can see, this team's main focus is to slow down the opposition with Sticky Web Necturna and Thunder Wave Thundurus, and then blow the enemy team apart with Mega Medicham and Choice Specs Sylveon and Volkraken's amazing power. This team isn't completely crippled without Sticky Web/Thunder Wave either, as Mega Medicham and Volkraken have maximum speed investment. To go into detail on each:

-Mega Medicham is the star of the show, you have probably seen this set on QueenofLuvdisc's own Medicham team, and I decided to use it myself too. It's pretty difficult to switch into and revenge kill, but it should best be sent out when Sticky Webs are set since it's still not fast enough to sweep against the likes of Syclant
-Necturna has the standard Sticky Web set, with Colbur Berry and Power Whip to beat Colossoil, not much to say other than that.
-Thundurus is the second slower with Prankster Thunder Wave to make enemy Pokemon easy pickings. I run Volt Switch on this Thundurus to grab some momentum on the team, as it has a hard time getting it with all the hazard setting and rapid spinning.
-Sylveon is Choice Specs Monster #1. It has the standard Specs set, and destroys some of the bulky Dragons Volkraken dislikes handling like Latias. It's better to use over Volkraken when your team has no Sticky Web or Thunder Wave support, since it's bulkier and thus can take a hit if it's outsped.
-Excadrill is the team's Fairy check, Rock setter, and Spinner in case Sticky Web/Stealth Rock get bounced back, so it's crucial to keep it healthy for the early parts of the game.
-Volkraken is Choice Specs Monster #2. It runs an all-attacking set, using Power Gem over U-turn or Destiny Bond to blow away some annoying pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. Blows holes in the Steel and Fire types Sylveon despises.

Have fun!

EDIT: By the way, KhosroTheGreat, don't worry, we didn't miss your Serperior VoltTurn team! sparktrain is working on it.

The premise of the team is simple; use Voltturn to wear down the opposing team to allow for a sweep by any of the team's several cleaners. This team relies on a couple different cores to be effective; Serperior, Rotom-W, and Talonflame create a FWG core that can check a good portion of the tiers threats with Colossoil and Gardevoir checking problem Pokemon such as Mollux and Electric-types. Rotom-W, Syclant, and Colossoil create a nice Voltturn core that works to wear down the opposing team to the point where Talonflame, Serperior, or Syclant can clean up. Like all Voltturn teams this team has to be careful of letting its wincon get worn down, some games will be decided simply by how fast you let Talonflame die. Be especially weary of speed controlling strategies such as Tailwind, Trick Room, and Sticky Web, as this team relies on its general speediness to check a lot of threats.

Onto the mons themselves; Serperior is a fairly standard Life Orb Glare set that helps check bulky Water- and Ground-types, as well as working as a serviceable wallbreaker through Leaf Storm. Glare is used to cripple common switch ins, such as Scarf Mollux and Talonflame, which also gives the other team members more room to work. Rotom-W is the standard physically defensive set and gives the team some much needed bulk. It also acts as a solid Talonflame check and can also check Cawmodore, two mons that would otherwise be big problems for this team. Talonflame gives the team some much need priority and a way to check dangerous setup sweepers such as Aurumoth and Mega Altaria, and Talonflame serves as a secondary wincon with Swords Dance. Roost was chosen over U-turn as the lack of Wish support and reliance on pivots necessitates the ability to recover chip damage. Syclant is a physically biased Spike stacking set that uses its good matchup against common threats such as Colossoil, Cyclohm, and Tomohawk to steal momentum with U-turn or set up Spikes to further punish switching. Mountaineer and Focus Sash allows Syclant to act as a secondary check to setup sweepers if Talonflame is down, so make sure Focus Sash is preserved until it absolutely needs to break. Gardevoir is the team's main wallbreaker and Tomohawk check, and it thrives off the slow U-turns provided by Rotom-W and Colossoil. The last moveslot on Gardevoir is pretty flexible as each moves is very situational; Psychic can be used to hit some physically defensive Pokemon, such as Plasmanata and Mega Venusuar for more damgage, as well as 2HKOing Physically Defensive Pyroak with a single layer of Spikes. Thunder Wave was chosen over Will-o-Wisp as it has better coverage over the Fire- and Steel-types that are used to check Gardevoir and creates a paralysis spam core with Serperior. Future Sight allows Gardevoir to but a lot of offensive pressure on the opponent to get a Psychic resist in play, and can often force the opponent into a lose-lose situation. Last but not least is standard AV Colossoil, which gives the team a solid check to Electric-types such as Cyclohm, as well as the best hazard remover in the tier. U-turn completes the Voltturn core and has excellent synergy with Gardevoir, as it can lure in Tomohawk and give Gardevoir a free turn to hit or cripple something.

This was a fun team to build and I hope you enjoy it, good luck and have fun!

I tinkered with the Aurumoth and Mega Metagross sets a little, but kept the basic idea you had with them the same. Shadow Ball is in Auru's fourth slot so it can sweep past opposing Mega Metagross and Kitsunoh without breaking a sweat; chose it over Hydro Pump, Focus Blast, or something similar since the team deals with opposing Heatran / Ferrothorn etc easily enough (feel free to switch it up whenever though, cap ladder is fairly prone to "flavor of the month" trends). Mega Metagross's set is pretty much standard; Bullet Punch's priority is really nice for revenge killing Mega Altaria, Syclant, Stratagem, and more. As Aurumoth and Mega Metagross share weaknesses to Fire and Dark, Keldeo pairs up quite well with them, and acts as a potent revenge killer / late-game cleaner for the team with Choice Scarf. Fairly standard set, Hidden Power Ground is in the last slot to smack Mollux and Plasmanta, which otherwise switch into Keldeo with ease. Tankchomp was then added to the team to provide the team with an offensive Stealth Rock user, as well as a VoltTurn punisher. The Rocky Helmet / Rough Skin combo punishes the hell out of physical attackers like Talonflame, Scizor, and more. Pyroak provides the team with a solid answer to fairies as well as Steel-types. There's a bit of SpD investment to better handle special attacking variants of Mega Altaria as well as Mega Gardevoir, without sacrificing its ability to handle and counter Mega Metagross with its amazing physical bulk. Roar phazes stuff like DD Mega Altaria, can rack up some residual damage with Garchomp's Stealth Rock, while Aromatherapy can heal its offensive teammates of annoying burns and paralysis, as well as preserving its own longevity if it happens to get hit by Toxic. AV Colossoil rounds out the team and provides some greatly appreciated special bulk and Rapid Spin support. U-turn is incredibly useful in the last slot to capitalize on inevitable Tomohawk switch-ins and gain momentum, giving you an opportunity to bring in LO Aurumoth or Mega Metagross and nuke something. Anyway, good luck with the team, I enjoyed building it!

vyomov, QueenOfLuvdiscs is working on your team so hang tight for a bit!

I'd like a team revolving around Mega Lopunny. Here's the set:

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Ice Punch / Baton Pass / Substitute

I'd prefer a hazard offense team. I haven't used Mega Lopunny often and all the teams I make tend to be balance so I'd like to try a different playstyle to see how it goes.

Let me have a team that can easily rid of hazards. It must not set up hazards as well. The ace of the team should be Tail Glow Aurumoth that runs Overheat, psyshock, and bug buzz. Also, a cool Necturna set with King's Shield, Shadow Sneak, Stone Edge, and Will - o - Wisp should be included(item colbur berry). Hope this isn't too much to ask :P

Sorry for the delay, but the team is ready to post. I did change the Hoopa set as I felt sub wasn't helping it out at all and it really needs all 4 slots for attacks. I kept the Cawmodore set the same as there was nothing to change. The ferro-rotom core is good as it helps check a lot of stuff in the meta like Syclant and Talonflame that threaten Hoopa and have great synergy in general. Colossoil allowed for easy hazard removal as well as providing a VolTurn core with Rotom to help keep up some momentum. Scarf Volkraken allowed the team to check opposing Cawmodore as provide a fast revenge killer in general and also provides more Volturn support.

Enjoy the team n_n

I tried to build this team with spikes but i found out really hard to fit on without losing too much offensive momentum, so I had to omit that, sorry. When I saw you wanted a Mega Lopunny team, I immediately thought of BunnyGoth as the main focus of the team, as that core is still really good. I wanted something that could help weaken the walls that like to switch in to lop, so offensive Tomohawk was next on the list as it did just that. I now needed rocks and talon check, so tankchomp was an obvious choice. I wanted some priority as well as a ice resist, so azu was next (and its a bunny) as again its checks can get worn down by tomo or just get trapped by goth. Finally, a caw check was needed so I threw on scarf mollux as it also gave me my own azu check as well as provide spin support if need be. The team is pretty standard, but its still fun to use.

Hope you enjoy n_n

edit: I messed up azu's hp, it should be even

JigglykongisFUM16 I actually finished this a while back, so sorry for the delay. I opted to use Power Whip over Stone Edge on Necturna despite you requesting otherwise simply because the ability to hit Colossoil hard is just too good to pass up.

Manaphy is meant to try to create a guessing game with Aurumoth's Tail Glow, Mega Sableye was needed for Magic Bounce to get hazards on the opponent's side of the field since you requested no hazard moves on the team itself, Mollux and Zapdos are Cawmodore checks and Zapdos also provides hazard removal in case there's a misprediction with Sableye. Char-X is a bit of a problem, but if Sableye is kept healthy then it's Foul Play is invaluable. Metal Burst is kinda gimmicky, but with good prediction it can nail a number of things very hard. Also note that besides scarf Mollux, the team is kinda slow. It's far from a perfect team, but I hope you can have a few fun matches with it. In the future, avoid asking us to build around two very specific mons that are both weak to so many of the same things though, and in general you'll probably benefit with hazards on a team and not just hazard removal.

Because WispyKit is a support pokemon, and not something you really build around, I decided to pair it with two powerful offensive cores, Aurumoth + Manaphy, and Metagross + Tomohawk. The first duo, Aurumoth and Manaphy, work together to form mindgames with Manaphy's Tail Glow, helping remove some problem threats, especially Talonflame. Metagross + Tomohawk are two great wallbreakers, covering each other's weaknesses almost perfectly, with Metagross taking Psychic, Fairy, and Ice attacks easily, and Tomohawk absorbing Ground and Dark attacks. Colossoil works as an Electric absorber, and general special tank, helping with the glaring Fire weakness despite not actually resisting Fire. Colossoil also absorbs status well and helps further annihilate stall.

The team should be played VERY aggressively, not leaving any room for the opponent to set up on you. Kitsunoh should not spend much time on the battlefield, as he can be set up on by dangerous Pokemon like Mega Charizard X. As such, it should be spamming U-turn for momentum against the opponent, only Defogging when it is safe to do so. Because the team pressures hazards and is not overly weak to Stealth Rock, hazard removal is an option, not a necessity.

Cawmodore and Char-X are big problems, should they set up. Caw can OHKO a lot of this team, and nothing naturally outspeeds it, so your best option is to keep it from setting up in the first place. Charizard X is even harder to prevent from setting up, but has a harder time predicting correctly against the team, and can be outsped before a Dragon Dance. Priority from Colossoil and Tomohawk also help against these threats, if they are weakened.

Good luck with the team, I hope you like it.

My teambuilding work has been dull recently and I can't seem to make a non-Stall team that works, so I'd like to request a team that contains Aurumoth.

Any playstyle is fine as long as it isn't Stall (thankfully that was already ruled out when Aurumoth was mentioned).
