[OVERVIEW]
Bellossom is totally outclassed in any possible role by the plethora of better Grass-types in the metagame, including Roselia, Tangela, and Gourgeist. It can attempt to be played as some sort of sun sweeper but is worse than Weepinbell in this regard. Its poor coverage and barely average Special Attack make it difficult for Bellossom to sweep, and, even under sun, Bellossom is still slower than common Choice Scarf users such as Sawsbuck, making it easy to revenge kill.

move 4: Sleep Powder

evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Solar Beam is Bellossom's strongest attack by far. Hidden Power Fire hits Grass- and Steel-types, which resist Solar Beam, such as Roselia and Metang. Hidden Power Rock is an option over Hidden Power Fire, as it can deal super effective damage against Fire-types, which can trouble Bellossom. Moonblast hits Dragon-types such as Fraxure super effectively, although it fails to outdamage a resisted Solar Beam unless it's super effective. Sleep Powder allows Bellossom to put bulkier foes capable of surviving an attack to sleep for an easier 2HKO.

Set Details
========

Maximum Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature and a Life Orb allow Bellossom to hit as hard as possible, and maximum Speed investment helps it outspeed nearly every unboosted Pokemon in the metagame when sun is set up.

Usage Tips
========

Bellossom can be used as either a wallbreaker or a late-game cleaner in tandem with other sun sweepers. Sleep Powder should be used on foes capable of surviving a hit from Bellossom, as well as to cripple foes capable of walling Bellossom's teammates. Solar Beam should be the go-to move, as even neutrally it hits as hard as a super effective Hidden Power Fire under the sun and a super effective Moonblast, making it Bellossom's easiest move to spam. Keep in mind that, despite Chlorophyll doubling its Speed, Bellossom will still be slower than all common Choice Scarf users and Ninjask.

Team Options
========

Bellossom should only be used on sun-based teams. Sunny Day users such as Onix and Volbeat are essential for setting sun for Bellossom and its teammates, and other sun abusers such as Sawsbuck and Weepinbell are good Pokemon to use alongside Bellossom to overload their checks and counters. Fire-types such as Rapidash not only see use on sun teams thanks to the sun boosting their STAB attacks but can also help check opposing Fire-types that threaten Bellossom, such as Ninetales, as well as Steel-types that wall it, such as Metang. Rock-types such as Probopass are useful for checking Ninjask, which can outspeed and OHKO Bellossom even under sun; however, Ninjask is still capable of U-turning out as Bellossom switches either way. Bulky pivots such as Grumpig and the aforementioned Probopass can be used to check the Choice Scarf users that can outspeed Bellossom even under sun, such as Mr. Mime and Simipour.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Energy Ball can be used over Solar Beam for a STAB attack usable outside of sun, but the drop in power is noticeable enough to not be recommended. Synthesis can be run to heal Bellossom, as it can get worn down quickly by entry hazards and Life Orb recoil, but it typically does not have the time or the bulk to heal itself. A Timid nature can be used to outrun Adamant Ninjask under sun; however, it still fails to outspeed other relevant targets and comes with a significant loss of power. Bellossom can attempt physical sets with its only slightly lower Attack, but it has a shallow physical movepool, is weak without setup, and lacks the free turn to set up a Swords Dance.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Rapidash, Torkoal, and Ninetales can give Bellossom trouble, as they resist all of Bellossom's moves bar Hidden Power Rock, which fails to OHKO, and can OHKO it in return.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Thanks to Bellossom's only average power, specially bulky Pokemon such as Lickilicky, Swalot, Regice, and Roselia can counter Bellossom fairly easily, although only Roselia is immune to Sleep Powder. Bulky Sleep-immune Pokemon, such as Hypno, Noctowl, and Vigoroth, are also notable for avoiding Bellossom's main method of getting past bulkier Pokemon, although Hypno and Vigoroth cannot switch into a Solar Beam.

**Residual Damage**: Residual damage from entry hazards, Life Orb, and potentially status can quickly wear down Bellossom, leaving it vulnerable to priority attacks or simply KOing itself with recoil.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon capable of outspeeding Bellossom even under sun are often able of KOing it with little to no prior damage. These include common Choice Scarf users, such as Sawsbuck and Mr. Mime, as well as Ninjask.

For Checks and Counters, add Specially Defensive Pokemon as Lickilicky and Regice can shrug off Bellossom's attacks with ease. Choice Scarf Users and Ninjask can just be renamed "Faster Pokemon". Poison-types can make a mention somewhere not a high priority (Arbok can't switch in, but can OHKO with Gunk Shot and AV Swalot just owns Bellossom. Roselia can be added somewhat, but its your call.)
2/3.

in overview as to why its ineffective mention its weak and bad coverage

'Solarbeam should be used the most, as it hits harder than a super effective Hidden Power when unresisted and just as hard as a super effective Moonblast when unresisted' - bit nitpicky but SE hp fire under sun is also as strong (actually SE moves are technically stronger by 1 bp but thats p much irrelevant)

Megazard also fix the spacing (there should be a blank line between the '=====' and the text') then 3/3

Moves
========

Solarbeam is Bellossom's main STAB move, as well as its (it's its only STAB move here; fluff regardless) strongest attack by far. Hidden Power Fire hits Grass- and Steel-types, (AC) which resist Bellossom's Grass STAB Solar Beam, (AC) such as Roselia and Metang. Hidden Power Rock is an option over Hidden Power Fire, (AC) as it can deal super effective damage against Fire-types, (AC) which can trouble Bellossom. Moonblast hits Dragon-types such as Fraxure super effectively, although it fails to outdamage a resisted Solar Beam unless super effective. Maximum Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature and a Life Orb allow Bellossom to hit as hard as possible, while maximum Speed investment helps it outspeed beat out nearly every unboosted Pokemon in the metagame when sun is up (I assume).

Bellossom can be used as either a wallbreaker or a late-game cleaner (gr8 parallelism :') ), in tandem with other sun sweepers. Sleep Powder should be used on foes capable of surviving a hit from Bellossom, as well as to cripple foes capable of walling Bellossom's teammates. Solar Beam should be used the most (maybe "should be the go-to move"? up to you), as even neutrally (I assume) it hits as hard as a super effective Hidden Power under the sun (what is the purpose of "under the sun" here? does it refer to the Hidden Power or to Solar Beam? if Hidden Power, that means it's Fire, so just say so. if it's Solar Beam, I assume it's to do with sand or whatever dropping Solar Beam's BP, but why doesn't that apply when comparing Solar Beam and Moonblast? idk anything about PU though so it could be really obvious) and a super effective Moonblast as long as Solarbeam is unresisted, making it Bellossom's easiest move to spam. Keep in mind that, despite Chlorophyll doubling its Speed, Bellossom will still be slower than all common Choice Scarf users and Ninjask.

Rock-types such as Probopass are useful for checking Ninjask, which can outspeed and OHKO Bellossom even under sun, although Ninjask is still capable of U-turning out as Bellossom switches either way. Other bulky pivots (is Ninjask considered bulky? if not, I'd get rid of "Other") such as Grumpig can be used to check the Choice Scarf users that can outspeed Bellossom even under sun, (AC) such as Mr. Mime and Simipour.

The original intent of the final line in residual damage was supposed to be that Bellossom ends up KOing itself thanks to LO chip damage, etc, but both checks seem to have suggested something else. How would I fix the line so it means that instead? I could put it back the way it was but I'm not sure if the original change was due to an actual error. Winry
