Did I mention I'll repost this? Don't bother with the mega btw.
Parents: Avalugg / Tyranitar
Shared egg group: Monster
Offspring name: Avatar
New type: Ice / Dark
New base stats: 107 / 135 / 157 / 79 / 83 / 54
New ability and desc: Sand Body - Summons Sandstorm and halve the damage of all super effective attacks taken by this poke in Sandstorm (or this poke will suck because of its typing).
Notable moves: Avalanche, Earthquake, Recover, Stone Edge, Rapid Spin, Toxic, Superpower, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Iron Head, Thunder Wave, Crunch, Taunt, Curse, Rock Polish.
Role identification: A wall with high attack. It has a very bad typing, so I made its ability a bit broken. I'm sure it won't be overpowered even with its ability.
I hope I didn't get anything wrong but wouldn't it be possible to make it Ice/Rock with that new rule? That way it wouldn't be hurt by sand.
Unless you had something in mind when you decided on its typing.

Something in mind, like NOT SUCKING.
Well, without the possibility of being stricken by a supereffective hit and a 107/157/124 bulkiness in Sand, I think that giving it more weaknesses would be a way to balance it (a Rock/Ice mon with that ability would be weak only to Fighting- and Steel-type attacks if under Sand).

Can't you guys wait for the discussion phase? Bad enough that the argument was started with a regular offender like Pika Xreme - and by the way Xreme, this is your last warning. The next time you start up a pointless discussion in this thread and/or respond with anything that doesn't contribute, you'll be blacklisted from this thread.

WINNERS:

Parents: Jellicent / Gardevoir
Shared egg group: Amorphous
Offspring name: Jellivoir
New type: Ghost / Fairy
New base stats: 94 / 72 / 77 / 115 / 120 / 80
New ability and desc: Cursed Trace: traces the foe's ability. The foe's ability now has no effect on the foe.
Notable moves: Will-o-wisp, Recover, Moonblast, Hex, Shadow Ball, Hyper Voice, Scald, Confuse Ray, Psyshock, Healing Wish, Destiny Bond, Water Spout, Energy Ball, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Taunt, Hypnosis, Wish, Encore, and Calm Mind.
Role identification: Oh boy, say hello to a revamped Jellicent. Better bulk, speed, and movepool is amazing, with a pretty cool ability as well. This can remove the effect of pokemon's abilities like Talonflame, Mega Gardevoir, Garchomp, Gliscor (love the sound of that), Azumarill, and many more. Plus the support movepools of Jellicent and Gardevoir combined make for a great utility pokemon. It also has great dual STABs in Moonblast and Hex/Shadow Ball!

Parents: Jellicent / Gardevoir
Shared egg group: *Mega
Offspring name: Mega Jellivoir
New type: Ghost / Fairy
New base stats: 94 / 92 / 77 / 155 / 140 / 100
New ability and desc: Pixilate
Notable moves: Will-o-wisp, Recover, Moonblast, Hex, Shadow Ball, Hyper Voice, Scald, Confuse Ray, Psyshock, Healing Wish, Destiny Bond, Water Spout, Energy Ball, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Taunt, Hypnosis, Wish, Encore, and Calm Mind.
Role identification: While regular Jellivoir is a good utility mon, Mega Jellivor becomes a fearsome wallbreaker/sweeper. Ghost/Fairy is a great offensive combo, and it has decent bulk (especially on the special side), a special attack stat almost as good as Mega Gardevoir, and the movepool to support it. Shadow Ball and Hyper Voice will be hitting off a very high base 155 Special Attack, and Jellivoir has new options to hit/lure mons such as Ice Beam, Energy Ball, and Water Spout.

DNA Donors: Crobat / Metagross
Offspring: Metabat (just put the X over Crobat's face and done)
New Typing: Steel / Flying
New Stats: 82 / 132 / 115 / 82 / 85 / 110 (+20 Attack, +10 Defense, +10 Speed)
New Ability and Desc: Clear Focus (Inner Focus + Clear Body): Resets stat drops at the end of each turn (including self-inflicted).
Notable Moves: Brave Bird, Meteor Mash, U-turn, Earthquake, Curse, Roost, Taunt, Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind
Role Description: A nice blend of good defensive typing and solid offensive stats. Clear Focus may sound OP at first, but consider this: 1) it really only abuses Curse and Hammer Arm with the ability (so basically a pseudo Bulk Up and Fighting coverage with negligible drawback) 2) Intimidate doesn't reset until the end of the turn, meaning its Attack is lowered upon the switch. Overall it has good coverage but can also run utility with Stealth Rock, Roost, Whirlwind, Taunt, status, etc, making it a faster and more threatening Skarmory.

DNA Donors: Crobat / Metagross
Offspring: *Mega Metabat
New Typing: Steel / Flying
New Stats: 82 / 142 / 135 / 92 / 105 / 150
New Ability and Desc: Tough Claws
Notable Moves: Brave Bird, Meteor Mash, U-turn, Earthquake, Curse, Roost, Taunt, Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind, Thunder Punch
Role Description: Goodbye metgame, it was nice knowing you! Mega Metabat is nearly as strong as Mega Metagross, way faster, and has an absurdly strong Tough Claws boosted STAB Brave Bird to just wreck left and right. I don't know what else to say. At least this forme can't abuse Clear Focus Curse anymore.

DNA Donors: Latios / Darmanitan
Offspring Name: Dartios
New type: Fire/Dragon
New base stats: 100/130/70/80/85/113 (BST 578, +8 HP, +15 Atk, +3 Def, +3 SpD, +11 Spe)
New ability and desc: Sheer Flight: During the turn that a move with a secondary effect was used by this Pokemon, it is immune to ground and takes no Life Orb recoil.
Notable Moves: Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, U-Turn, Superpower, Outrage
Role identification: Offensive Dragon Dancer. Sheer Flight is an interesting ability, removing one of Dartios' weakness when it uses Rock Slide or Flare Blitz, and allowing to use Life Orb very well. It has U-Turn to grab momentum if it decides not to run Dragon Dance, and it has many other coverage and STAB options.

Mega Dartios (Latiosite)
Offspring Name:
Mega Dartios
New type: Fire/Dragon
New base stats: 100/170/90/110/95/113 (BST 678)
New ability and desc: Levitate
Notable Moves: Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, U-Turn, Superpower, Outrage
Role identification: So I made this Pokemon as an attempt to make Latiosite viable, and I think I may have succeeded. Mega Dartios has some advantages over its base form in the form of a more consistent Levitate, 0 Life Orb recoil, higher base power at a staggering 170 attack, and near Mew-level bulk at 100/90/95. After a Dragon Dance, Mega Dratios is extremely fast and devastatingly powerful, making it easy to sweep with your STAB moves and a coverage option, and even before a DDance, Mega Dratios can hit extremely hard with U-Turn, outspeeding most of the meta and almost all of its Dragon-Types, making it able to dispose of threats such as Garchomp and Lati@s. A very powerful and notable Latiosite user, and a huge threat.

DNA Donors: Heatran / Greninja
Offspring name: Grenheatja
New type: Water / Fire
New base stats: 81 / 92 / 92 / 126 / 92 / 119 (+4 Defense, +10 Special Attack, +6 Special Defense, +20 Speed)
New ability and desc: Evaporation (Torrent + Flash Fire) - If this Pokemon is hit by a Water-type move, its Fire-type moves have their power increased by 50%; immune to Water-type moves.
Notable moves: Scald, Lava Plume, Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Earth Power, Dark Pulse, Flash Cannon, Dragon Pulse, Grass Knot, Gunk Shot, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Low Kick, Taunt, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, Spikes
Role identification: Mainly I made it to create a Mon with STAB Scald and Lava Plume for burn spam. Its STABs combination is unresisted and it has a wide coverage, with moves super effective against all its weaknesses: Ground-type for Rock and Electric types and Water- and Grass-type for Ground types.

DNA Donors: Diancie + Moltres
Offspring: Moltie
New Typing: Fairy / Fire
New Stats: 90/100/120/120/120/79 (+20 HP, +8 SpA, +3 SpD, +9 Speed) [BST 629]
New Ability and Desc: Calamity (Clear Body + Pressure) [Prevents the increase the PP cost of the user]
Notable Moves: Flamethrower, Moonblast, Roost, U-Turn, Stealth Rock, Defog, Fire Blast, Agility, Calm Mind, Will-o-Wisp, Overheat, Explosion, Light Screen, Reflect
Role Description: Fairy / Fire is a cool typing, honestly. It has some neato resists, although it does have an unfortunate weakness to SR. It also has Roost for dank recovery to go with this typing and good 90/120/120 bulk. 120 SpA is also decent, so Calm Mind or Rock Polish are still great sets to use on this monster. It also has cool utility moves like U-Turn, Defog, and Screens. It could potentially Mega Evolve, except Diancite is banned (good - otherwise this would be borked).

DNA Donors: Metagross / Banette
Offspring name: Banegross
New type: Ghost / Steel
New base stats: 72 / 135 / 97 / 89 / 86 / 87 (+10 Atk, +10 Special Defense, +20 Speed)
New ability and desc:Hard Body (Insomnia + Clear Body) - Stat drops inflicted either by moves, abilities or status are ignored.
Notable moves: Meteor Punch, Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claws, Phantom Force, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Zen Headbutt, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Pursuit, Hammer Arm, Hone Claws, Agility, Destiny Bond, Will-O-Wisp, Magnet Rise, Pain Split, Disable, Thunder Wave
Role identification: It's immune to stat drops of all kind, it has Aegi's typing and 2 STAB priorities and it can reliably go Scarfed thanks to its nice 87 Speed.

DNA Donors: Mega Metagross / Banette
Offspring name: Mega Banegross X
New type: Ghost / Steel
New base stats: 72 / 145 / 117 / 99 / 106 / 127
New ability and desc:Tough Claws
Notable moves: Meteor Punch, Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claws, Phantom Force, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Zen Headbutt, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Pursuit, Hone Claws, Agility
Role identification: This one is like a Ghost/Steel version of MegaGross, but it has double priority STAB, Sucker Punch, Knock Off and far better Speed.

DNA Donors: Metagross / Mega Banette
Offspring name: Mega Banegross Y
New type: Ghost / Steel
New base stats: 72 / 185 / 107 / 99 / 106 / 97
New ability and desc:Prankster
Notable moves: Destiny Bond, Will-O-Wisp, Magnet Rise, Pain Split, Disable, Thunder Wave, Taunt, Confuse Ray, Meteor Punch, Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claws, Phantom Force, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Zen Headbutt, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Pursuit, Hammer Arm, Hone Claws, Agility
Role identification: Welcome the monster: MHeracross's Attack (the highest base Attack stat in OU, before abilities and items), 72/107/106 bulk, decent 97 Speed (and priority Agility/Rock Polish to double it), Prankster to setup with priority or to inflict statuses to the opponent, STAB priority for both its types and Sucker Punch, Knock Off to stall-break or nullify Choichers... What else? Oh, Phantom Force can break Protect and similar moves and it has Aegislash's typing.

Parents: Pinsir / Heracross
Shared Egg Group: Bug
Offspring Name: Herasir
New type: Fighting/Bug
New base stats: 82 /135 / 97 / 57 / 92 / 95
New ability and desc: Gut Breaker - Abilities that hinder attacks are nullified and gets attack boosted by 1.5x when burned.
Notable Moves: Aerial Ace, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Megahorn, Knock Off, Pursuit, Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Superpower, X-Scissor, Storm Throw, Stealth Rock
Role Identification: The new ruling gives this a lot of options. Previously it had to give up fighting stab, but the new ruling benefits it. Not so much as its megas, though...

Parents: Pinsir / Heracross
Shared Egg Group: Bug
Offspring Name: Herasir
New type: Fighting/Bug
New base stats: 82/195/137/56/102/85
New ability and desc: Skill Link
Notable Moves: Aerial Ace, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Megahorn, Knock Off, Pursuit, Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Superpower, X-Scissor, Storm Throw, Stealth Rock
Role Identification: Just a slightly better Mega Heracross.

Pinsirite:
Parents: Pinsir / Heracross
Shared Egg Group: MEGA
Offspring Name: Herasir
New type: Fighting/Flying
New base stats: 82/ 155 / 117 / 67 /102 /115
New ability and desc: Aerilate
Notable Moves: Aerial Ace, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Megahorn, Knock Off, Pursuit, Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Superpower, X-Scissor, Storm Throw, Stealth Rock, Double Edge, Quick Attack
Role Identification: The real beneficiary from this deal. Fighting/Flying is an awesome typing, and has actually pretty decent bulk. All you need is Swords Dance, Close Combat, Double Edge and coverage/quick attack.

Parents: Gardevoir / Mismagius
Shared Egg Group: Amorphous
Offspring Name: Mismagivoir
New Type:

New Base Stats: 74 HP | 72 ATK | 72 DEF | 125 SPA | 120 SPD | 102 SPE
Ability: Synchofloat: Immune to Ground-type moves. Opposing Pokemon's ability is changed to Levitate.
Notable Moves: Nasty Plot, Moonblast, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Mystical Fire
Role Identification: Gains Nasty Plot from Mismagius's movepool. Mystical Fire can also be useful for Steels.

Parents: Gardevoir / Mismagius
Shared Egg Group: Amorphous
Offspring Name: Mismagivoir-Mega
New Type:

New Base Stats: 74 HP | 92 ATK | 92 DEF | 165 SPA | 140 SPD | 122 SPE
Ability: Pixilate
Notable Moves: Nasty Plot, Hyper Voice, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Mystical Fire, Calm Mind, Substitute, Psyshock
Role Identification: Mega Gardevoir with Nasty Plot and a better typing. Nothing except Soundproof mons are safe from your +2 STAB Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voices.

DNA Donors: Haxorus / Kyurem
Offspring name: Harem
New type: Dragon / Ice
New base stats: 100 / 158 / 90 / 110 / 80 / 101 (+20 Atk, +15 SpA, +5 Spe)
New ability and desc: Overwhelming Presence (Mold Breaker + Pressure) - Whenever this poke is on the field, all abilities and items the opponent has is negated. (Yes, all of them. -ates become unboosted normal type, Regenerator doesn't increase health, Berries and Sash doesn't activate, Specs and Life Orb don't give power boost, etc.)
Notable moves: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Aqua Tail, Outrage, Poison Jab, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, Grass Knot, Low Kick, Ice Beam, Superpower, Rock Slide, Taunt, Swords Dance, Roost, Earth Power
Role identification: Yeah. Remember Monsjustmons? Whenever this poke is on the field, you basically play it, except you can use your item. Because of this, this poke may be very hard to revenge kill because you just realize your Sash doesn't activate and you still get outsped even though you hold Scarf. Or you can't even revenge it with Talonflame because Gale Wings doesn't give you priority. You can only rely on raw power to beat this thing.

DNA Donors: Hoopa / Manectric
Offspring: Mana
New Typing: Ghost / Electric
New Stats: 75 / 92 / 80 / 127 / 95 / 107 (+20 Defense, +20 Speed)
New Ability and Desc: Magician's Wand (Magician + Lightning Rod): Swaps item with target when hit with an Electric-type attack.
Notable Moves: Shadow Ball, Volt Switch, Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Taunt, Curse
Role Description: Another Rotom ripoff! Magician's Wand is a very niche ability but it could have some functionality versus the right foe. You can use it to absorb Thunder Wave from walls and auto-Trick them a choice item. You can also use it to steal an item outright if you carry nothing without risking a bad trade. While Mana isn't very fast, it has a respectable Speed and learns Nasty Plot to shoot up its Special Attack. Setting up can be risky tho as it's not the bulkiest of Pokemon so do so at your own risk!

DNA Donors: Hoopa / Manectric
Offspring: *Mega Mana
New Typing: Ghost / Electric
New Stats: 75 / 92 / 100 / 157 / 115 / 137
New Ability and Desc: Intimidate
Notable Moves: Shadow Ball, Volt Switch, Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Taunt, Curse
Role Description: So here we have a faster, stronger, and bulkier Mega Manectric with a few added weaknesses (and resistances/immunity!) Setting up Nasty Plot is much easier on the mega forme thanks to Intimidate and very respectable bulk. In fact you can even dump investment into the bulk to get more boosts. You can even tank some Knock Offs now, as they do less damage from Intimidate and the lower BP.

To do:
  1. Analyze these abilities. Are they balanced? Can they be better?
  2. Help find the best moveset for them based on their new roles. Should it boost its Attack first? Is it a team supporter? Choose wisely: you only have four moves to pick per Pokemon.
  3. Try to guess any checks or counters we might run into later, and if possible, see if one of the other fusions would make a good teammate to get past these counters.
  4. To expand on #3, which of these Pokemon can check/counter the earlier slates? How would they fit together on a team? How would they support each other?

Thanks for reading! And yes, I'm not Eevee General.

Thought I'd make a set for base Mismagivoir, as thanks to its ability, it can force out users of -ate abilities, as their STAB moves will become Normal-type, which Mismagivoir is immune to, and it can power down many of the other Pokemon/Fusionmons that draw their power from their abilities.

Mismagivoir @ Lum Berry
Ability: Synchrofloat
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spa / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Nasty Plot
-Moonblast
-Shadow Ball
-Mystical Fire

Nasty Plot is used to buff Mismagivoir's Special Attack on a free turn when it forces an opponent out (ideally), and the Moonblast and Shadow Ball are used for STAB. Mystical Fire is to eliminate Steel-Types such as Ferrothorn. However, Mismagivoir still struggles with some Steel-Types, such as Heatran, and it does not appreciate moves like Scizor's Bullet Punch and Bisharp's Sucker Punch, so a Pokemon such as Hazard and Dartios are useful as teammates to support Mismagivoir's sweep. Mismagivoir also requires that Pokemon faster than it, such as Hawlusharp, be eliminated before it sweeps, so even faster support Pokemon such as Talonflame and Joltlord are appreciated as support, making Mismagivoir a potent late-game sweeper, once all those that can threaten it have been eliminated. Mismagivoir's low defence is not ideal, so bulky defensive Pokemon such as Cofagreelix and Aggrosaur are useful to stop physcial attackers dealing massive damage to Mismagivoir (that's 3 shameless plugs for my own Fusionmons so far, see if you can find them all!). So with the correct support and good plays, Mismagivoir can even be a threat without needing to rely on its Mega Stone.

What do you think of introducing fusions with Ubers, but they can only fuse with Pokemons with a BST<400?

In addition, a set for Banegross

Banegross @ Banettite
Ability: Hard Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak
- Earthquake / Ice Punch

With this EVs spread and one Agility it can outspeed base 145 Spe. Iron Head and Shadow Sneak are for STAB and priority and then there's coverage. Use Rarthquake if you are worried about Heatran, Fire-types and Aegislash fusions, or Ice Punch against Landorus and dragons.

By' Ubers' I'm guessing you mean 'Pokemon with over 670 BST or higher' since most Ubers Pokemon can already fuse thanks to DNA fusions (Genesect etc.) or normal methods (Greninja, Aegislash etc.)
It's an interesting idea, the council might debate it, but we'll see.

SpartanMalice

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Herasir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double-Edge
- Close Combat
- Knock Off / Quick Attack / Stone Edge
- Swords Dance

Straightforward set for Herasir. Its STABs alone cover a lot of threats, and its high speed and decent bulk means quick attack likely won't be necessary anyway. Hence Knock Off is the preferred coverage move - as its hits Ghost/Steel pokemon such as Aegislash and Cofagreelix. An alternative to Swords Dance may be bulk up, but the immediate power is preferable anyway.

Can I decrease a Fusion's stat to increase another stat leaving the BST equal? Like, if, after the calcs, a Fusion's stat spread results 100/90/100/110/100/100, can I make it 100/100/100/100/100/100? Kyurem's Attack is decreased when it becomes Kyurem-White (same as its Special Attack when it becomes Kyurem-Black).
MegaGallade, can you discuss also this point? I suggested it some weeks ago, but I don't think it was discussed.

picksome

Banned deucer.
Can we discuss about using CAP Pokémon with our Fusions?

Anyway, here are some sets for Metabat.

Bulky Offensive:
Metabat @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Curse
- Iron Head / Bullet Punch
- Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch / Roost

Well, with Clear Focus, Curse becomes a Bulk Up and Hammer Arm becomes a usable Coverage move. Iron Head is your STAB, striking pretty hard after a boost, though Bullet Punch is an option if you want to face faster foes. Hammer Arm takes care of other Steel and Rock types. Ice Punch is used to defeat Landorus-T and Hippowdon. Roost can be taken into factor if you want to have some recovery and have a partner to swipe away the aforementioned Grounds. This is for balanced teams that already have a Mega, like Mana. Speaking of it's Mega...

Mega:
Metabat @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant or Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Brave Bird
- Bullet Punch / Hammer Arm / Ice Punch
- Roost

Straightforward set for Metabat. Mega Evolve and sweep away. With enough speed to tie with Mega Alakazam and Mega Aerodactyl, it can destroy them with it's STAB moves. It can run coverage as well, but you just use your STAB anyway. Bullet Punch is used to KO weakened foes and Roost is used to heal up recoil and Stealth Rock damage.

Also for Fun
Nasty Plot:
Metabat @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Focus
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Apr
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Flash Cannon
- Heat Wave
- Giga Drain

At +2, it can take care of some threats like Hippowdon harder than the Mega set. Heat Wave is use to take down other Steel types. Giga Drain is used for Water and Ground types and recovery.

Just a nitpick, I think the Pinsirite should have 165 Attack. Powerful.

SpartanMalice

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Yeah it's 165, fixed. I wonder if Heracronite will be useful though. It does gain SR, for what that counts. But the regular with Gut Breaker seems better for its utility.

The useful part is it can choose not to mega if it gets burned and it can taunt pokemon like Mega Sableye, which is great for setting up later.

It still has those 125BP multi-hit moves coming off from the probably highest base attack in the game so it looks useful on paper. Its low speed might be an issue but it's meant to be a wallbreaker that decimates stall and its great bulk makes up for it. And yeah, that pre-mega ability is a really great plan B for it to be useful even when burned.

Dartios @ Latiosite
Ability: Sheer Flight
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake/Roost

A fairly basic Mega Dartios set, utilising Dragon Dance to boost your already high Attack and Speed to unparalleled heights, and then sweep with your dual STABs and Earthquake for coverage, or Roost to heal off Stealth Rock / Flare Blitz recoil. This set may face some competition from Mega Charizard X, both being Dragon Dancing, Dragon/Fire physical attackers, with Dartios having higher attack, but Zard X having access to Tough Claws, meaning that while Zard X's Tough Claws moves do more damage than Dartios', Dartios has the edge in Earthquake damage:
+1 252+ Atk Mega Dartios Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 394-465 (97.5 - 115%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 430-507 (106.4 - 125.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Mega Dartios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 220-259 (54.4 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 180-212 (44.5 - 52.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

However, Dartios does have some advantages over Mega Zard X to seperate it from the competition: firstly, it has higher base speed, meaning it can afford to run Adamant and not be outsped by Scarf Lando, as many Zard Xs have to run Jolly, which would mean that Jolly Zard Xs are only just about as strong as Adamant Mega Dartios, even when boosted by Tough Claws. Other advantages in Dartios' favour are access to Levitate making it immune to (most) Ground-type moves, giving it one less weakness than Zard X, Dartios' higher overall bulk giving it more longevity, and the fact that prior to Mega Evolution, it does not lose 50% of its HP to Stealth Rock. All together, these factors make Mega Dartios a worthy contender for Mega Charizard X, and one that outclasses it in certain regards.

For what it's worth, it has U-turn and a pseudo-ground immunity so it can gain momentum a bit more easily. We all know Hazard is the epitome of an offensive sweeper and does somewhat outclass Dartios in terms of power and versatility but Dartios is still an impressive Pokemon on its own right.

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Dartios will not be competing with Mega Charizard X though. Mega Charizard X has already been outclassed by: Charatos, Hazard, and Shaymizard - all of which have, respectively (in comparison to M-Zard X, not Dartios):
Charatos - Great ability and defenses, faster speed tier, better stats and typing overall. All prior to mega evolving, and with a Tough Claws Mega Evolution.
Hazard - Insane attack and decent 108 speed tier which outclasses the original's 100 Spe
Shaymizard - Great 120 Spe and far better bulk.

So yeah as far as Fusion Evolution threats go, Zard X is no longer the benchmark anymore, we have several different Fire/Dragon threats to consider now, all of which can serve different roles depending on your team.

I hope we can use HAs the next sub stage, as its possible in game. Plus I want a reaaly good reason to use Dragonite.

Anyways, here are some dank sets for reaaly dank pokemon, Moltie!

Moltie @ Life Orb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Ability: Calamity
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Rock Polish

Classic Rock Polish set. Has problems with Talonflame, but a great late game cleaner regardless.

Moltie @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Ability: Calamity
Timid or Hasty Nature
- Moonblast
- U-Turn
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power / Diamond Storm

Nice offensive pivot. Moonblast and Fire Blast make great STABs. U-Turn is for momentum and its last move depends on what it wants to hit. Diamond Storm hits Burds and such for supereffective damage, while E.Power smashes Hitachi switchins.

Moltie @ Leftovers
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 SpA
Ability: Calamity
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power

Nice defensive rock setter. Roost is for recovery, while Fire Blast + Earth Power hits most common leads for neutral/SE Damage.
