VGC MegaGross dancing in the rain!

LETS FUCKING NOOOOOOOOOOOO

I have always found metagross an awesome pokemon so i decided to build a team balanced around it.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 172 HP / 76 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Protect
- Ice Punch

Mega Metagross was the pokemon i wanted to build around, I wanted to have it have a high damage output whilst still having a lot of bulk. meteor mash and zen headbutt are the STAB moves whilst ice punch is great coverage in my opinion. I EV'ed Metagross to OHKO non-bulk 4x weak pokemon like Landorus, Mega salamence, Mega garchomp and dragonite whilst still having a great damage output.

  • 76 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Salamence: 336-396 (101.5 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 76 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Landorus: 460-544 (144.2 - 170.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Thundurus @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Def / 52 SpA / 68 SpD / 28 Spe
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Swagger
- Rain Dance

My Main way of speed control whilst being able to just complete negate mega charizard y and make fire types almost harmless, my team is also a bit fire weak so Rain dance is a great way to remove this. Swagger is there just cause Swagger.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Atk / 88 Def / 12 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip

Now I needed something which could check mega kangaskhan, I chose ferrothorn, to check bulky waters. Ferrothorn can 2HKO suicune, milotic and rotom wash which are seen as the bulkiest waters. I also chose him as my main counter to trickroom and he improves my Rain matchup by a lot!

Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Close Combat
- Rock Slide
- Taunt

I needed another thing which just completely neuters some extremely popular mons like kan and charizard, I chose this as hes just amazone to have in my team

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 84 HP / 12 Def / 236 SpA / 4 SpD / 172 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power

This hydreigon hits like a truck getting the OHKO on a lot of pokemons. Draco Meteor even KO's when hydreigon is at -2 or sometimes even at -4. He is also my check to ghost and psychic types. He has a also has near perfect synergy with metagross.

Volcarona @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 164 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD / 84 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Quiver Dance

I chose volcarona to have another win condition with quiver dance, Volcarona also has perfect defensive typing synergy with the rest.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I think i need a bit more speed control. Anyway, hopefully i can get some good criticism

Just my bit while you wait for a big rater to finish this.
Metagross- I don't know looks good to me
Thundurus- Looks fine to me
Ferrothorn- The spread is probably fine but could you add what it survives
Terrakion- Just my suggestion you could maybe add Quick Guard on Terrakion over taunt as you Ferrothorn to check Trick Room but Taunt is also nice for other things. Maybe Taunt>Swagger on Thundy
Hydreigon- Looks fine to me
Volcarona- There may be a better spread suited for your team but just in my opinion Bug Buzz>Gga Drain as you already have Thundurus and Ferrothorn to check bulky waters.

Just my suggestions if sure a big rater will come around and I don't want to make the team worse so I just made small changes. Good luck with the team :)

Thanks a lot, ill try quick guard and Taunt out. Maybe i should use hp ground to my volcarona, my team is quite bad against fire types like heatran
