Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Alright, the results are in! Thanks to everyone who participated!
Based Honker!
Anyway, time to move on to week 7!
This team was created by NaCl as a way to quickly climb the ladder. This team focuses on Choice Specs Meloetta's tendency to pressure bulkier builds while choice scarf flygon acts as a potent cleaner and momentum grabber. Gurdurr can also break down fatter teams or one that heavily rely on physical attackers, while venusaur acts as another hole puncher as well as a no-mess solution to Alomamola. Diancie and Blastoise form a nice defensive backbone as well as both hazard addition and removal. I ran Alomomola while laddering over Blastoise, but I decided to stick to the origional team for this.
Sorry for recycling sigilyph but it literally does a number to all of the teams you use. The only things on this team that can deal with sigilyph are meloetta and diancie. By running houndoom you can take care of meloetta with ease while easily luring out the diancie with iron tail. Once that happens sigilyph just wins.
Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Roost
- Energy Ball

Houndoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 220 Atk / 36 SpA / 252 Spe

Sneasel @ Life Orb

Ironically his team is very Meloetta weak especially since it does not have a pursuit trapper. Sneasel aids in removing the opposing Meloetta and Ice Sharding Flygon to make it a lot easier to just click Psychic and win. Iron Tail on Sneasel helps to lure in Diancie and score free damage.
Alright, only two noms this time. I'd like to give a little more time for noms, but a schedule is a schedule. Nominees are as follows
Based Honker
Take AZelfie
Dran, I'm sorry for not giving you an alert to get your nom up, but you had a week to. And, Senpai D.M as articulate as your post was, I really can't accept something that's just "Lmao Medicham" If you wan't to do a nomination, please do one in earnest and try not to bog down the thread. Also, take note that from here on out I will only be accepting nominations of 2 or 3 pokemon. Just keep this in mind.
My vote goes to Take Azelfie, mostly because Honker's core struggles a little with Flygon. Have fun voting!
Take Azelfie!
Don't question the image, this is my thread.
Anyway, I took a week off hoping to pick up some teams from RUPL, but I never really got around to getting them. Still, I got a team for week 8.
So, this team, built by my good friend TheWall22 is a balance build that revolves around taking on offensive threats with a core of Diancie, Slowking, and Venusaur. Flygon keeps the team from being destroyed by Spike-stack, and Spiritomb clears out Bulky Psychics so Medicham can Blast through the opposing team without too much trouble. If all else fails, Slowking can sweep late game with Calm Mind.
