A finished Pike reffing and a finished Team Tournament reffing gives 18 UC and 10 UC. [UC: 15+18+10 = 43]
Helping out on Maxim's Reffing 202 means I get 4 CC! [CC: 22+4 = 26]

A Cruciflash gives out 1 CC here, and a pair of Crucibelle self-reffs give 1 CC and 3 UC each. [CC: 26+1+1+1 = 29] [UC: 43+3+3 = 49]

Starmie - Charla (U)

Charla is Wendy's closest friend and confidante since Daycare. Witty, and quick to learn the ways of the world, Charla did not trust Zheng at first sight, naturally, and disapproves of Natsu and Gray's loud brawls every other minute they were together. Charla looks out for Wendy, not afraid to stand up to bigger, meaner Pokemons, and its that precise quality she sees in Zheng's group that warms her up to the team. Charla is very touchy, resisting most physical contacts except with Wendy, retaliating with swift hit-and-run tactics whenever approached thus.

The sudden disappearance of Wendy as soon as the monastery is founded shook Charla up. But, the resulting search finally convinced her that her best friend is no longer the helpless, naive pup of the past. She still watches over Wendy, though, and she looks forward into their shared future in the family with a bright hope - so long as her eyes don't roll at the antics of the boys.

A swordsman wields the blade with graceful precision, just as Erza uses her attacks with dangerous beauty. She walked in on one of Gray and Natsu’s brawls, and the resulting free-for-all wore on for half a day before Zheng can subdue her with a Pokeball. Unknowingly for her, that fight left a lasting impression on the two – they’re cautious almost to the point of fearful whenever in her company since then. Wendy and Charla looks up to her as a role model, though, and it was Erza who took care of them, even though she was newer to the family.

Chargestone Cave is the hallowed ground for all of Erza's ancestry, yet she decides that she will withhold her instincts to evolve for the sake of her family. Small but close-knit, everyone looks up to Erza as the big sister, even though her quirks with boys sometimes astonished the girls and make the shy ones (like Juvia and Wendy) blush. After a series of long, drawn out clashes with Mirajane, both of them seemed to have settled to a cordial relationship, mutually agreeing to avoid mentioning the past conflicts, opting instead to look after the girls together and knock the boys down a peg or two when they get too loud.


It wasn't until the strawberry cake event that Erza finally found the courage to overcome her fear. The truth was, she was scared of shouldering her responsibility being a full-grown Stratagem, relying more and more on the rest of the family despite the lads' deferment to her leadership and skills. Resolving to do whatever it takes to protect herself and those around her, she secretly learn how to manipulate the nature from Mirajane, and the two became very fast friends. Although, Mirajane seems to have picked up some of Erza's racy quirks as well...

Muk - Cana (F)

Cana is an alcoholic, probably one of the very few Pokemon throughout the world to actually enjoy imbibing such beverages. Her natural biological system is the prime cause for her incredible alcoholic tolerance, and also of her encounter with Zheng - she was drinking in the wine cellar under a small inn when the innkeeper caught her red-handed. Flustered, the innkeeper cannot do anything without Pokemons, and Zheng arrived to save half the cellar, while paying off the other half. Flirtatious and often half-drunk, she's quite an addition to the family - as well as quite the reason of Zheng's oft-empty purse.

Her drinking exploits have garnered quite a reputation amongst the locals, much to Zheng's chagrin. However, Cana was smart enough not to bring her habits into the monastery, and so Zheng can't really do much but rebuke her gently. When sober, she often purifies the monastery's nearby stream by absorbing all the intoxicants and harmful substances from the water - which is why some local brewers drew water from the monastery when they make their ales.

Armaldo - Pantherlily (M)

Gajeel was the one who found Pantherlily's Claw Fossil discarded at the entrance of a mine. Seeing the Murkrow's penchant for it, Zheng decided to go to the nearest archaeological lab and revive it. Pantherlily and Gajeel have been quite attached to each other ever since. They share the same camaraderie towards each other as Natsu and Gray, but at least they didn't have the head-splitting rivalry that the other pair always do. Often after a training session, Gajeel would take Pantherlily up for flight trips, while the latter demonstrates the pleasure of submersion in water. The rest of the family often help Pantherlily too, since he's still much less comfortable on terrestrial environment - Wendy loved piggybacking him and Charla together, while the latter doesn't mind that much.

Pantherlily's much larger size now meant that he would no longer be the protected fossiling now, but a respected fighter in his own right. Swinging his claws with the strength of a shield bash, Pantherlily trains everyday by felling trees for firewood and clearing debris around the monastery backyard. Often in the evenings, the only sounds there are the rustling of his claws as no fallen leaf ever touches the ground.

Mirajane is a sweet girl, always smiling at everyone, even though she sometimes do gets into fights with Erza when the latter is not busy pounding Natsu. She helped Elfman overcome his innate fear to swimming by teaching him patiently in Lake Lucid. As a result, the latter treated her as an elder sister, always protective of her while respecting her opinions on every turn. In turn, Mirajane always stays near Elfman for guidance, often perching atop his head on journeys and summoning sunny skies to invigorate the Numel. Despite her small stature, no one else in the family looks upon her as the one to be protected - Mirajane is very capable of looking after herself, usually resolving conflicts around her in a diplomatic way but more than willing to respond with force if necessary.

Rias Gremory, "Princess of Crimson Ruin" - Tyrantrum (F)

Rias is born to a rare family - one in which both her parents were present to take care of her. Before her, they already had a son - who grew up, evolved, and went away to stake his own territory. Being the younger "princess", Rias enjoyed all the privileges - and hardships - that her life as a future empress has to offer, before a cataclysm caused the death of herself and her whole family millions of years before the time of humans.

Being resurrected by Zheng, she is given to and named by Tanner as her Trainer, who somehow also hold another Jaw Fossil that can't be revived - probably because the piece held remnants of both her parents. It is rumoured that Rias' brother walks the earth again this same era that she does, however Rias does not know where to find him.

Evolving into her grown form, Rias still continues the search for her brother. And then she met Issei, then a young Charmander who knew nothing much about the world except the fire in his belly.... Who is just one of her "peerage" of Pokemons, each with stories of their own. She decides that it is high time she declared herself King, and she readies herself for the challenges of her very own monarchy by training relentlessly.

Akeno Himejima, "Priestess of Thunder" - Ampharos (F)

Born just after her parents died in a roadkill - which occurred by accident as Elie's herd wandered out of the ranch - Akeno lacks the care afforded by other Mareep from their Flaaffy parents. Elie, the ranch keeper, tries her best to help out, but eventually decided that being in the ranch will only further compound Akeno's sorrow, so she gave her to Julianna, who in turn gave her to Tanner. Akeno often feels like an attention-deficit lamb, resorting to various actions in order to get everyone to notice her. It doesn't help that she somehow has a kind of strange electrochemical pheromone that subtly attracts males of all species, so caring for her is a bit of a chore to Tanner. Only Zheng could see her as how she really feels.

With Zheng entering retreat too soon for her liking, Akeno found ways to build relationships with others, often hiding her distaste with a polite smile and a potent shock. That is, until she met Issei - not "just another pervert", but a surprisingly honest one...

So it came to a surprise when she finds herself attracted to him. Even though she stands by Rias' side as her Queen, the two are bosom friends more than anything - even their jealous rivalry due to Issei had done nothing to diminish the mutual respect and kinship they had for each other.

Koneko Toujou, "Hellcat" - Absol (F)

Known as the rare, unwanted Disaster Pokemon, and a descendant of Lou's Absol - whose Trainer was gone missing for too long, with disquieting rumours, Koneko was not welcomed in the ASB community. Even the shelter shunned her, for fear of attracting ill luck. Most veteran Trainers do not share the superstition, but her small form, frailer than even most of her kind made most hesitate to take her in, until Tanner found her. She is scarred by the treatment from those around her, and is very reluctant to open up to anyone. Rias is the first to be able to touch her without her shying away, and it seems Tanner is making some slight progress.

Koneko remained carefully distant from everyone around her, but she remains loyally by Rias' side. For one thing, she has nowhere else to go if she leaves Rias' peerage, and for another, being with them for so long had her coming to see them closer to family more than anything. She still thinks Issei is a pervert, and occasionally knocks him to his place whenever he has lecherous thoughts - something she can easily detect in him.


Nature: Modest (+SpAtk, -Atk) - also very timid

Type:
Dark type: Dark STAB; Koneko is very serious about putting lechers in their right place. She ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using her natural Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.

Abilities:

Koneko's quiet, tense, presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at her costs the attacking Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

Koneko can manipulate her aura to increase his critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 50% of the time.

Ability 3: Justified (Hidden)

Koneko's touki reacts to similarly dark energies. When hit by a Dark-type move, Koneko's attack will increase by one (1) stage. A boost gained this way will be maintained at the end of each round.


Ability 4: Magic Bounce (Mega-Evo only)

In Mega-Evolution forme, Koneko can manipulate the dark senki to ward off non-damaging attacks as soon as they are launched, reflecting them back at the user.

Vali Lucifer, "White Dragon Emperor" - Aerodactyl (M)

Born to a lineage of Aerodactyl, with lineages going back as far as time immemorial, Vali was one of the few exceptional case born with great potential. But only one of them. And so he struggled to rise far and above those before it, with the competitive spirit beyond what most would even comprehend. He would use every bit of strength at his disposal just to further his training, and to beat every strong opponent that not just stood in his way, but also those he actively seek out. Currently his long-term project involves resurrecting God to Its True Forme, and challenging it to combat.

Whenever Scunner attacks, she emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities. (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, etc.) Attacks are still redirected by Lightningrod/Storm Drain, but damage is dealt normally. Status-immunity abilities such as Limber will remove their relevant status at the start of the victim's next action.

Ability 3: Liquid Ooze (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Scunner's body is covered in a slimy poison that when drained by Leech Seed or another draining move, damages the opposing Pokemon for the amount that would have been healed.


Ability 4: Magic Guard (Mega-Evo only)
Type: Passive
Scunner is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes her immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, Burn, and Partial Trapping moves. She can still attack herself in confusion, and will still take damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects her from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect, she will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is negated.

In my previous claim, I had assumed that my Smeargle's MC total had been brought up to 26 and spent 6 MC on two moves, bringing it down to 20. In reality, he didn't have that many, only 24, thus bringing him down to 18. Still, I didn't purchase what I couldn't afford, so no big problem. Hopefully, when I make another error, it will be in a situation where I can still afford it, rather than one where I cannot.

Also, I lost another battle here, but it was closer than my last one.

Eternal Drifter gets +1 CC; Smeargle gets +4 MC, +1 KOC; Houndoom gets +4 MC

Star is, unlike the Ferrothorn of days past, incredibly passive, but also willing to stand up to anything. She's excellent at standing her ground, and won't budge even from the most heated of attacks.
