New Abilities: Magic Guard/Rattled/Serene Grace
Movepool Addition(s): Moonblast, Slack Off, Parting Shot, Nasty Plot
Justification: Fairy is associated with the moon so sub-type Fairy makes sense. The rest are moves that fits cats.
Niche in OU: Life Orb user with Magic Guard. MG also helps with safe pivoting with Parting Shot, Can also use Rattled for a speed boost, new typing makes it resist Bug/Dark and is already immune to Ghost. Serene Grace for Moonblast Special Attack drop hax.

New Abilities: Magic Guard/Protean/Trace
Movepool Addition(s): Psyshock, Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, Nature Power, Psychic, Earth Power
Justification: Protean to go with the random Hidden Power type and different forms it has. Magic Guard and Trace because mysterious living alphabet. Added special moves and actual STAB, notably Psyshock for special walls.

Slate 10: REAL STEEL

Klinklang
Current Typing: Steel
Current Abilities: Plus/Minus/Clear Body
Current Stats: 60/100/115/70/85/90

Aggron

Current Typing: Steel/Rock
Current Abilities: Rock Head/Sturdy/Heavy Metal
Current Stats: 70/110/180/60/60/50

Mawile

Current Typing: Steel/Fairy
Current Abilities: Intimidate/Hyper Cutter/Sheer Force
Current Stats: 50/85/85/55/55/50

Bronzong

Current Typing; Steel/Psychic
Current Abilities: Levitate/Heatproof/Heavy Metal
Current Stats: 67/89/116/79/116/33

Name: Klinklang
New Typing: Steel/Electric
New Stats: 80/120/135/70/95/90
New Abilities: Clear Body/Speed Boost/Technician [HA]
Movepool Addition(s): Drill Run, Baton Pass
Justification: Electric typing fits in with both its flavour and its electric-heavy movepool. Clear Body stays as a useful ability, Speed Boost fits into the theme of fast-spinning gears along with its movepool, which contains multiple speed-boosting moves. Technician suits a Pokemon based off modern-technology very well, and boosts Gear Grind's power too. Drill Run is a decent ground type move that lets it beat some checks and traditional counters, while not being as out of place as, say, Earthquake. except for an Attack boost, its stat increases are all in the HP and defenses, as Steel types are traditionally very bulky.
Niche In OU: An exceptional physical sweeper with few counters and a narrow but well-utilised movepool, along with excellent Speed-passing utility due to its typing. With Clear Body and access to many support moves such as Toxic, Protect, Thunder Wave, and Substitute in conjunction with, it can make a very good tank while applying offensive pressure with its powerful STABs, while a purely offensive set with Shift Gear, Wild Charge, Drill Run/Return (to hit specific checks such as Mega Aggron or Thundurus-T) and Technician-boosted Gear Grind will clean out Hyper-Offense teams easily once checks have been weakened. It's a pretty versatile beast, and the offensive set is always something every team should prepare for, especially with its excellent natural bulk even when uninvested.

Name: Bronzong
New Typing: Steel/Psychic
New Stats: 87/99/136/99/136/33
New Abilities: Levitate/Filter/Infiltrator [HA]
Movepool Addition(s): Curse, Earth Power, Heal Bell, Recover
Justification: Curse allows its physical bulk and attack prowess to be boosted much like Calm Mind for its special stats. Earth Power is a special equivalent to Earthquake which many Pokemon who can use EQ also receive, especially ones with good Special Attack. Heal Bell is gained because... well, it's the Bell Pokemon. Many Psychic types gain access to Recover or a similar recovery move, so I feel Bronzong should also.
The stats have been given an immense boost on the defensive side, and a small boost to both Attack and Special Attack to make more use of its surprisingly impressive movepool. It keeps Levitate, and gets Filter as a suitable defensive ability for such a sturdy Pokemon, which also fits in well with both of its typings - both of the extant Pokemon that have this ability currently are either Psychic or Steel type. Infiltrator makes use of Bronzong's movepool and ability to disrupt both bulky offense and semi-stall teams.
Niche In OU: An extremely bulky Pokemon with a fantastic defensive typing, that can choose to either remove a weakness, somewhat mitigate all supereffective damage, or go for a more offensively-inclined supportive ability. With access to both Curse and Calm Mind it can also be a fantastic wincon thanks to its huge bulk, reliable recovery and impressive offensive movepool, and it can support its team with Trick Room, Heal Bell, dual screens, and status moves boosted by Infiltrator to bypass substitutes. It can't run everything at once, and suffers from 4MSS sometimes, but its options make it surprisingly versatile and hard to deal with once certain counters are out of the way.

Name: Aggron
New Typing: Rock/Steel
New Stats: 95/130/180/60/60/65
New Abilities: Rock Head/Sturdy/Bulletproof [HA]
Movepool Addition(s): Dragon Dance, Wood Hammer,
Justification: Dragon Dance is given due to flavour, as many Pokemon of similar size and/or build, even ones that are non-Dragon type such as Tyranitar and Feraligatr, have access to it. Wood Hammer is given due to its Pokedex entry of carrying and planting trees around in its territory. It keeps Rock Head and Sturdy as useful abilities, and gains Bulletproof due to its thick iron armour plating.
Its HP and Attack have been increased to match its fearsome appearance and thick, strong armour, while its speed has been slightly increased for competitive usefulness.
Niche In OU: With its newly increased Attack and Speed stats and access to Dragon Dance, Aggron is in a position to finally take the OU metagame by storm. After one boost, max speed Jolly Aggron reaches 378 Speed, outpacing even max speed positive-natured base 120s such as Alakazam and Dugtrio. With Rock Head protecting it from recoil, it can utilise its boosted Attack stat to deal devastating damage with Head Smash, and fantastic coverage in Wood Hammer to hit bulky Water and Ground types hard. Excellent STAB and coverage options such as Iron Head, Heavy Slam, Ice Punch and Earthquake also remain available to use on any sets that require them, and its increased Attack and Speed make Choice Band and Choice Scarf sets much, much more viable. To give you an idea, I have included some calculations of what Dragon Dance Aggron can do with his new stats and movepool:
+1 252 Atk Aggron Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 385-454 (97.7 - 115.2%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Aggron Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Unaware Clefable: 338-402 (85.7 - 102%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Aggron Wood Hammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 335-395 (82.9 - 97.7%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Aggron Wood Hammer vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Gyarados: 315-372 (95.1 - 112.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Aggron Head Smash vs. 244 HP / 8 Def Gliscor: 263-309 (74.7 - 87.7%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Aggron Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 270-320 (80.8 - 95.8%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Aggron Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Steelix: 205-242 (57.9 - 68.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

As you can see, even most physical walls cannot stomach boosted hits from the newly improved Aggron if they have taken even chip damage.

In addition, a bulky support (or lead) set utilising Stealth Rock, Roar and two moves of choice can be used in conjunction with Bulletproof, which grants immunities to dangerous moves like Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, and Shadow Ball, outright neutering and threatening many would-be checks and revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Gengar and Focus Blast Mega Alakazam.

Finally, the stat improvements also boost Mega Aggron's bulk and speed, making it even more effective at tanking hits and strikign back thanks to its new base stats of 95/160/230/60/80/65.

Aw darn, Heroes and Cons ninja'd my idea.

Name: Bronzong
New Typing: Steel/Ghost
New Stats: 97/109/130/79/130/45
New Abilities: Levitate / Flash Fire / Bulletproof
Movepool Additions: +Shadow Sneak +Phantom Force +Heal Bell +Volt Switch
Justification: Bronzong has always been more ghostly to me. So Steel/Ghost looks like a viable option. Its technically a giant church bell / ghastly mirror, so I focused on the bell part and gave hit Heal Bell. Flash Fire is a better man's Heatproof and Bulletproof also makes sense here. Its moves are all ghostly and Volt Switch is a move common to Steel Types.
Niche in OU: Its an Aegislash clone?!? Nah, its Bronzong. Bronzong is an interesting Pokemon. Its abilities allow it to pick and choose what it counters, but not all at the same time. Levizong cockblocks most of Sand Offense, SD Garchomp, Landorus-T and basically any Ground type. Flash Fire means typical checks to Bronzong in standard are now mincemeat, Mega Charizard-Y, Heatran, every Pokemon that breaks past steel with Fire Blast. Bulletproof is the most niche of the abilities, but now you have access to the only living Gengar counter!!

Name: Aggron
New Typing: Steel/Rock
New Abilities: Rock Head / Sturdy / Lightning Rod
New Stats: 80/130/180/60/70/70
Movepool Additions: +Swords Dance +Dragon Dance +Wild Charge
Justification: Dragon and Swords Dance are both justifiable because its a draconic and battlehardened monster. Im surprised it doesnt get Wild Charge.
Role Description: Its a powerful wallbreaker with STAB Head Smash, if you didnt know, hits very hard. Dragon Dance solidifies its sweeping potencial, and with excellent coverage in Superpower, Ice Punch, Wild Charge and Earthquake, it beats most checks.

Name: Mawile
New Typing: Steel/Fairy
New Abilities: [Unchanged]
New Stats: 80/125/135/85/85/80
Movepool Additions: +Bullet Punch +Nasty Plot +Earthquake +Drain Punch
Justification: Earthquake and Drain Punch are standard moves for fully evolved physical attackers. Bullet Punch cuz Wynaut? And Mawile is the Deceiver Pokemon, so Nasty Plot is not farfetched.
Niche in OU: While its mega bit the dust, this Mawile steps up to the plate as both a fearsome attacker and a decent physical wall. Defensive sets have both formidable defense and Intimidate, making it near unpenetrable via physical attacks. Its Choice Band makes a powerful wallbreaker, and SD Sets make it a fearsome sweeper. Thanks to great coverage and Nasty Plot, even special sets are achievable and beat most of its traditional checks.

Darn, I feel my Unown was so close! Oh well...

Do Aggron stat changes effect Mega Aggron as well? Same for Mawile.

Name: Klinklang
New Typing: Steel/Electric
New Stats: 75/130/115/65/95/110
New Abilities: Levitate No Guard (Hidden)
Movepool Addition(s): Earthquake, Stone Edge, Fusion Bolt, Topsy Turvy

Justification: It's a levitating bucket of bolts, and it's like a computer. Edgequake is just stuff standard to fully evolved mons. No Guard is because it's like a computer and has pinpoint mechanical accuracy. Fusion bolt is because it generates fusion energy. Topsy Turvy is because the thing is all... screwy. *shades*

Niche in OU: Two come about: Levitating Elec/Steel and Zap Cannoneer with Stone Edge and Gear Grind being accurate as well. It can also Topsy Turvy, but there's a great risk at this job with the fact that you're going to likely want to boost up with Dragon Dance+. The most dangerous aspect about it is how versatile it is.

Name: Aggron
New Typing: Steel/Dragon
New Stats: 100/110/180/60/90/50
New Abilities: Regenerator/Sturdy/No Guard (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Coil, Slack Off, Zap Cannon, Inferno

Justification: It's godzilla, scary, draconic, with breath that always hits whatever city he's in. Or he's scary, or he's running away. When he comes back with the franchise, he heals. He can coil his tail like a snake too. Also, he's fairly draconic, certainly better than Rock/Steel

Niche in OU: Somewhat multifaceted, Aggron can be a status spreader or a defensive physical Attacker. And the typing is just plain better no matter what ability you choose.

Name: Mawile
New Typing: Fairy/Dark
New Stats: 130/120/105/50/105/80
New Abilities: Intimidate/Pixilate/Strong Jaw (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Drain Punch, Earthquake

Justification: Mawile has so much dark, it practically is. Dark/steel would simply impose on Bisharp, but Dark/Fairy... ya know. The new abilities I hope speak for themselves, as do the new moves. Sure the theme is steel, but... c'mon, it's Fairy/Dark!

Niche in OU: Crazy as it sounds, the role is to be a lighter, tamer version of Mega Maw. Yea, Mega Maw was good with SP, and even with it getting STAB, it's not fast enough to sweep, so anything that resists Dark/Fairy could give it trouble.

Name: Bronzong
New Typing: Steel/Psychic
New Stats: 117/99/121/99/121/33
New Abilities: Drizzle/Levitate/Volt Absorb (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Thunder/Water Pulse/Hurricane/Recover

Justification: It's a rain calling bell. Sure, sounds OP, but... everything supports that, including Volt Absorb to catch all the storm lightning. Recovery is needed to stay in OU.

Niche in OU: Make Politoed sit on a bench... it could even kick it out of S thru A ranking! It's gonna have some 4MSS. You'll want STAB, but will want Rain abuse too, but might need Gyro or some Psychic move. You'll also want Recover, what to do? Suffer, or hope your sheer diversity overcomes this seemingly overused (ha) word.

Ofc. But we are not buffing mega Aggron and Mega Mawile is Ubers, so dont let them sway your submissions.

A question - I assume I can't buff Aggron's Defense base stat more than 25 points? Because that would push Mega Aggron's defense beyond the limit of 255, if it is following Mix and Mega rules of mega stone stat boosts I mean.

Cookie Butter

formerly the someone
Name: Mawile
Typing: Steel/Fairy
New Stats: 75/135/135/85/85/75
New Abilities: Intimidate / Prankster / Sheer Force (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Drain Punch, Bullet Punch, Trick, Lovely Kiss
Justification: On one hand, Mawile is known for being a powerhouse, but on the other hand, it's still a cute deceiver Pokemon. Because of this, punches, kisses and tricks fit as moves. Also, as a playful deceiving Fairy who's a counterpart to Sableye, I think it deserves Prankster.
Niche In OU: Set up sweeper who can either go all out with an offensive ability and amazing coverage or priority, or support itself and the team with priority sleep spreading or intimidate. While this Mawile doesn't quite fill the niche that got MegaMawile banned, it has the same typing and more move/item options than its counterpart. SubFocus isn't quite as effective because of no pre-Mega intimidate and way lower attack, but it can set up subs or SD while the opponent switches out or is sleeping. Sheer Force allows Mawile to kinda work in hyper offense (however, important moves like Sucker Punch and Bullet Punch would not be boosted, leaving them way weaker than MegaMawile's even with a Choice Band)

Name: Bronzong
Typing: Steel/Psychic
New Stats: 90/110/125/100/125/40
New Abilities: Levitate / Heatproof / Drizzle (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Rapid Spin, Waterfall, Heal Bell, Boomburst
Justification: Bronzong can summon rain, it was even revered because of it. And it can make bell sounds because it's a bell. It can also spin, and probably climb a waterfall by floating and doing psychic stuff with rain or whatever. Those also have competitive justification.
Niche In OU: Amazing support Pokémon for Rain teams, and probably for other teams as well. Not only does it get a weather setting ability and great mixed defenses, resistance to Stealth Rocks which help it switch in, and also new moves like status removal and hazard removal, but it also already has Stealth Rocks, Dual Screens, Gyro Ball, Trick and Trick Room. Not only that, but it also has okay offensive stats and can abuse water coverage on rain as well as its STABs, or even use Boomburst for some reason. It's very versatile, almost to the point of being broken. However, it lacks one important feature that would make completely overpowered, recovery from moves. Therefore, it has to choose between Damp Rock or Leftovers or something else, making it not so unbearably good.

Voting begins in two days. Keep subbing (I mean seriously submissions are kind of low this slate)

Dilasc. your Aggron has a BST of 640. Thats way past breaking point. I think Mawile being in a STEEL slate kinda signifies something. Im begining to get a bit tired of you submitting either absurdly broken or illegal subs.

I think the low number of submissions this slate has a lot to do with the choices. I mean, think about the current slate... a Steel slate is all well and good, but:
- Two of them already have Mega forms which makes it harder to be original with submissions for them; Aggron also has a high BST so limited improvements can be made, certainly not enough to change the way it plays to any significant degree.
- Klinklang has a high BST already so its stats can't be improved as significantly as, say, last slate's Pokemon, and has a both a very limited movepool and difficult design to be original for, to boot.
- Perhaps the most perplexing choice here, Bronzong isn't even a bad Pokemon anyway, it really doesn't need the boosts... and is RU besides, which is above the "NU or below" rule that you defined in the OP.

I love this thread, and I accepted the slate and created my submissions for it, but I think maybe something with more potential (and need) for improvements in the next slate would be better, something to let people be really creative with.

Raichu next slate or riot

might as well submit for Mawile.

Name: Mawile
New Stats: 100 / 115 / 125 / 90 / 90 / 70
New Typing(if any): Steel / Fairy (wouldn't trade that for anything)
Movepool Addition(s): Drain Punch, Earthquake, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam
New Abilities(if any): Intimidate / Sheer Force / Tough Claws
Niche in OU: An incredible tank. Even if Mawile didn't have a good ability, it would be usable in this form due to its great stats and typing. But it doesn't just have one good ability, no. It has THREE.

I'm... I'm sorry. I fixed the stats. I'm not trying to be too broken, I just want to have fun making mons like everyone else. Please, I don't want any trouble.

Name: Klinklang
New Stats: 85 / 115 / 130 / 70 / 95 / 95
New Typing: Steel/Electric
Movepool Additions: Earthquake, Stone Edge, Spikes, Rapid Spin
New Abilities: Levitate, Clear Body, Iron Barbs
Justification: Iron Barbs, Levitate and Spikes are references to Klinklang's design, Earthquake and Stone Edge are in the movepools of almost every other Steel-type, and Rapid Spin was added because Klinklang's design was based around spinning gears.
Niche in OU: The combination of Rapid Spin and Levitate make Klinklang one of the best hazard removers in the tier.
Example Sets

Name: Aggron
New Stats: 90 / 120 / 180 / 60 / 70 / 70
New Typing: Steel/Rock
Movepool Additions: Swords Dance, Dragon Dance, Wood Hammer, Crunch
New Abilities: Sturdy, Rock Head, Sheer Force
Justification: Swords Dance and Dragon Dance were added because most Pokemon that are as large as Aggron learn at least one of them, Wood Hammer is a reference to Aggron's pokedex entries, (plus, the actual description of the move only mentions slamming into the target "with a rugged body", which Aggron definitely has), and Crunch is a reference to its pre-evolutions' Pokedex entries
Niche in OU: Aggron's primary STAB and coverage moves have very high base power, allowing it to become a fearsome wallbreaker.
Example Sets

Name: Mawile
New Stats: 90 / 120 / 110 / 95 / 105 / 70
New Typing: Steel/Fairy
Movepool Additions: Drain Punch, U-Turn, Morning Sun
New Abilities: Intimidate, Hyper Cutter, Strong Jaw
Justification: Drain Punch and Morning Sun provide semi-reliable recovery (the latter was also chosen because Sableye can learn Moonlight), and U-turn improves Mawile's pivoting capabilites. Strong Jaw was added due to Mawile's design and pokedex entries
Niche in OU: Depending on the ability it has, Mawile can either be a part of an Intimidate core, pass Swords Dance boosts without fearing Intimidate, or use the elemental fangs as coverage moves.
Example Sets

Name: Bronzong
New Stats: 92 / 104 / 131 / 99 / 116 / 48
New Typing: Steel/Water
Movepool Additions: Hydro Pump, Recover, Thunder, Scald
New Abilities: Levitate, Sturdy, Drizzle
Justification: Drizzle and a Water-typing were added because Bronzong, according to its Pokedex entries, controlled the rain to bring about plentiful harvests. It's also a better typing than Steel/Psychic. Hydro Pump and Scald are obligatory Water STAB moves, Thunder was added to improve Bronzong's special movepool and because a Pokemon that can control rainstorms can probably control thunderstorms as well, and Recover provides the reliable recovery that Bronzong desperately needs.
Niche in OU: A bulky rain setter that can take advantage of its weather
Example Sets

Klinklang: InvisibleWater, Heroes and Cons
Aggron: Heroes and Cons, InvisibleWater, G-Luke
Mawile: the someone, G-Luke
Bronzong: InvisibleWater, G-Luke, Heroes and Cons
