Sveta [Nohface] (F)
Nature: Jolly (+15% Speed, +5% Accuracy, -1 SpA)
Type: Ghost / Steel
Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will still be damaged every turn by their effect.
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them vulnerable to Poison-type attacks and the Poison/Toxic Status.

Abilities:

Levitate: (Passive) The Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if the user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or longer, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise, Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.

Ground: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists. Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:

Hyper Cutter: (Passive) This Pokemon always keeps its claws/teeth/pincers extremely sharp, and thus cannot have its attack reduced.
Arena Trap: (Passive) This Pokemon has great knowledge of the field and can always remain close to an earthbound foe no matter where it runs. All Pokemon that are not of the Flying-type, or possess the Levitate Ability, may not be switched out of battle while this Pokemon is on the field. This Pokemon may still switch out of battle as normal, unless there is another Pokemon on the field with Arena Trap.
Sheer Force (HA Locked): (Toggle) By default this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). =====ROUND 1=====

Sunny Park Colosseum
...Wait, we're not in some dumb arena this time? We're actually in an appropriate place for an LC battle? I guess we finally got some more budget--
fufufu~ looks like the kiddies can play without worries~
...Of all of the Pokemon the old man has, you're with me? Don't you cast curses or something?
fufufu...~ i have no clue what you're talking about~ maybe you should ask the gentleman up there giving you your lines?~
I...excuse me? This isn't scripted at all, folks, this Pokemon is just a little...
i see you writing~ you're writing faster than usual because you're late~ is this really your worst fear?~
Ugh...talk about creepy. What is she even talking about? Oh well, we have more important things to cover...like this Pokemon battle! We're here live in Sunny Park Colosseum, a cheerful and lighthearted place where children and adults alike come to battle. And aren't our two combatants just adorable? Trapinch has some major speed issues, but its physical strength is no joke. Deino's going to have a tough time chomping into this matchup without getting bitten back!

Ghetsis looks really, really excited for this battle. No, really, he looks pumped. Really pumped. That Deino's energy is going through the roof! It must be focusing pretty hard. Scirrocco doesn't seem to mind, and glows a deep red before launching a Superpowered tackle straight at the Deino, making it tumble over and slide across the grass, leaving a little trail in its wake. That has got to hurt. Trapinch's massive Attack stat tore through that Deino like a Mat Block. Trapinch's Attack and Defense were lowered, though. You have to have a downside somewhere..

Ghetsis seems to be planning something, because despite being faster, Scirocco immediately attacks again! This time, it's a smashing attack! A Rock Smash, I mean! It even lowered Deino's Defense! It doesn't hit nearly as hard as Superpower did, and since the Trapinch's Attack stat was lowered earlier, it's looking a bit duller...but what isn't dull is Ghetsis, who comes in sharp with a critical hit on its Dragon Tail attack, sending Scirocco reeling back! The shock was so startling that it looks like he wants to go back inside his Pokeball...

I'd be scared too if faced with a Crunch attack so powerful it went critical, especially if my Defense stat was lowered. It does almost as much damage as Superpower did to Deino, which is very impressive. Scirocco follows up with another Superpower, which manages to keep up in damage due to Ghetsis's Defense drop from earlier.

Since the Dragon Tail connected, Trapinch is mysteriously whisked out of the arena, and a savage, unknown force brings Sveta, P2's Nohface, out into the colosseum. A new matchup after only one round? How exciting!

=====ROUND 2=====

Sunny Park Colosseum
Oh, look! Avalon, it's another Nohface!
i can see the malice in that child's eyes~ she has something good in store~
Eh? What are you talking about?
this child wants no more than to obliterate and cause despair~
That's...pretty scary. How's a little ghost fox going to do that?
only its strongest technique, of course!~
How foreboding! I guess we'll see what Sveta's "strongest technique" is pretty soon! Will it be enough to overcome Deino's overwhelming offenses?

Sveta sees that Ghetsis is up to no good and throws up a Protective barrier, which deflects the Deino's Taunt. Sticks and stones may break your bones, folks, but words can never hurt you as long as you have a magic impenetrable shield.

If I were Ghetsis, I'd be mad too. After all, that Focus Energy of his is still active. Unfortunately, I don't have the power required to shoot critical Dark Pulses from my mouth, but this one from the little Deino was so strong that it caused Sveta to flinch and lose focus. We're still waiting on that strongest technique, aren't we, Avalon? ...She says it's coming soon.

Ghetsis comes in strong with a devastating critical Crunch attack, doing great damage to Sveta with the added damage from his Hustle ability. Sveta's body glows a bright silver, and...wait, is this it? Yes, it is! It's a Metal Burst, which Sveta had been charging from the beginning! This attack returns all of Ghetsis' damage and then some, KOing the poor thing in one fell swoop.

Thanks to a clutch flinch, Ghetsis managed to do great damage to Sveta before going down. How will our newcomer address the upcoming matchups?
ref's note: just for future reference, snarg, the accuracy debuff and power increase on physical moves is active by default. if you don't want to risk the accuracy loss, be sure to specify that you're toggling hustle OFF before you order.

Sunny Park Colosseum
Now Ragnarok has taken the stage! What a huge silhouette!
size doesn't mean everything, young lady~
I know that, but Sveta can't learn Low Kick yet.
hmm...good point~
With the fall of Ghetsis fresh in our minds, we're reminded immediately of the power Snarguffle is packing on their team; Ragnarok the Onix towers over every other person and Pokemon in the crowd, and manages to outclass Sveta in every stat. The only thing our little Nohface is riding on is her excellent typing and Levitate ability. But, as we've seen many times before in ASB, anything can happen. Let's get into the action!

Ragnarok seems to be biding his time, which is interesting considering that he's so much faster...it gives Sveta enough time to smack the colossal Pokemon across its rocky face with a steely Meteor Mash! Even with super-effective typing, though, the attack does minimal damage. That's what such an astronomically high Defense stat can do for you! Ragnarok finally catches up and digs underground, only to emerge with many megatons of force behind it. The impact has no trouble reaching Sveta through her Levitate, and sends her flying (not of her own will, though) into the air. What an attack!

Ragnarok has to cool down from that last combination attack, so he takes a break while Sveta puts up the best vanishing act she can before coming in from behind with a Phantom Force! It still does pitiful amounts of damage, though. Will this Onix ever budge?

It...doesn't seem like it. Once again, Onix is failing to use his high Speed to his advantage. Either way, another Meteor Mash hits...okay, I guess. What's more interesting is that Ragnarok is ordered to use the fearsome Dig combination again! It does massive damage, KOing Sveta, but leaving Ragnarok KO'd in the process due to exhaustion. Don't overuse combos, folks! Now this match is two to one. Can Snarguffle pull this back, or will P2 press his new advantage to the end?
ref's note: i'm just gonna take this straight from the handbook so there's no confusion:

"If the combo is a same-move combo of a damaging evasive move such as Dig, calculate the combo's strike priority as normal, then whatever the difference between the evade priority and strike priority of the move is, add that to the combo's strike priority to get the combo's evade priority. Thus, Dig + Dig, with its strike priority of -6, has an evade priority of -4."

also combos use a lot of energy and cooldown doesn't reset consecutive use penalty. be sure to keep an eye on how much EN you're going through.

=====ROUND 4=====

Sunny Park Colosseum
And we're back! Those were some long commercials.
you're late again~ look at you, forgoing sleep~
Ugh, she's using that creepy voice again...wait, she's creepy all the time.
write faster, little screen man~ you're running out of time~
I really have no idea what she's talking about. Ignore her. We have two new combatants entering the battle this round with the double KO from last round still fresh in both trainers' minds. This next matchup is between Wailmer and Timburr, both of which are bulky heavy-hitters. It's anyone's game!

Mobius starts off by Bouncing--what? He doesn't have Bounce? Why did his trainer tell him to Bounce then? What even happens in this situation? Oh, right. With confusion plastered all over the poor Wailmer's face, all he can do is Struggle to attack the opposing Timburr. For a Struggle, it actually does some damage, I'm surprised. Segata Sanshiro, along with representing a dead console--
"DEAD CONSOLE?! THE SEGA SATURN IS THE MOST POWERFUL HOME CONSOLE ON THE MARKET! YOU MUST PLAY SEGA SATURN! If you won't, I'll HENSHIN into Kamen Rider and--"
How did you get into the commentator's box? Who are you? This isn't the 90s! Get out! I'm talking about the Timburr, anyways! Avalon! Get him out of here! Security!

...Right. Thunder Punch hits really, really hard thanks to Timburr's Sheer Force ability. Now that Mobius has real orders, he executes a Surf that crashes over the arena! It does good damage. If only he was doing that from the start! A swift Low Kick sends Mobius tumbling and bouncing around, using the Wailmer's high weight to its disadvantage.

Poor Mobius. After serving as a punching bag and a kicking bag for this Timburr, he once again gets misleading orders and has no choice but to Struggle at his opponent. This gives the Timburr another chance to use Thunder Punch to great effect. Mobius isn't looking too good at all; despite his huge HP lead initially, those disastrous orders negated any advantage he would have had. Segata, on the other hand, is looking great, and ready to finish this before Scirocco can come back.

P2X7 orders first next round, then Snarguffle gets to follow up.

Thunder Punch - Low Kick - Thunder Punch
IF Wailmer is in the Evasive stage of Dive when you would act, use Focus Energy the first instance, Chill the second, and Chill the third, pushing back each instance.
IF Wailmer uses Dive outside of a combo, without suspense, AND your first substitution did not activate on the previous action, use Counter the first instance, Mach Punch the second, and Counter the third, pushing back each instance.

While I understand the importance of real life matters, Iron Caliber, this battle has been ready to ref for ~16 days and you have had no activity for ~10 days after your LoA ended. I hope that your absence is not due to tragic circumstances, but I must nevertheless issue a 36-Hour DQ Warning.

P2, your timburr should have 2 SpD, not one.

Also, sorry for the lack of flavor in this round. I assumed you would rather have speed. The next round will have flavor.
