Gourgeist-Super @ Choice Band
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Shadow Sneak
- Rock Slide
- Explosion

CB Shadow Gourgeist-XL is a nice lure to Jynx, who would otherwise easily kill it with Ice Beam, but now will get OHKOed by a CB boosted priority Shadow Sneak.

252+ Atk Choice Band Gourgeist-Super Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jynx: 398-470 (146.8 - 173.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Torterra @ Yache Berry
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Synthesis
- Stealth Rock

This more specially defensive set lets it take an Ice Beam and then OHKO back with Earthquake.

252 SpA Jynx Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 128 SpD Yache Berry Torterra: 270-318 (68.5 - 80.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

It looks like the Exeggut-ioner is here (plz love me erisia o.o). This isn't really a set I've shown of yet, but it's actually pretty fun and doesn't just cover hitting this thing :3 But it does OHKO rott ezpz
252 SpA Exeggutor Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 554-654 (167.3 - 197.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Regirock @ Leftovers/Passho Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 160 HP / 88 Atk / 96 Def / 164 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Explosion
- Rock Slide
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss
Regirock is normally set up bait for swords dance samurott, but with a bit of prior damage explosion is a nice lure to samurott. You can use passho berry to but even +2 waterfall doesnt OHKO regirock.
88+ Atk Regirock Explosion vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Samurott: 245-289 (74 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
88+ Atk Regirock Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Samurott: 111-132 (33.5 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Samurott Waterfall vs. 160 HP / 96 Def Regirock: 246-290 (72.1 - 85%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ Atk Samurott Waterfall vs. 160 HP / 96 Def Passho Berry Regirock: 123-145 (36 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Banned deucer.

Jynx (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Lovely Kiss
- Ice Beam
- Psyshock
- Counter

-Samurott with Lum berry can usually beat standard jynx with megahorn, and will definitely go for it to weaken Jynx early match, since Jynx is very annoying pokemon to deal with. Counter is pretty cool lure since it can check counterleads to jynx early game in case opponent also leads with something fast other than samurott. I actually dont remember if this was exact set, but counter matters anyway.

Musharna @ Leftovers/Tanga Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Moonlight
- Energy Ball

Samurott likes to set up on Mushy as the latter is to slow to deal enough damage back before boost with Psyshock. With Energy Ball it can manage Samurott. Can also be used to beat Steel types.

0 SpA Musharna Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 184-218 (55.5 - 65.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1
0 SpA Musharna Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 276-326 (83.3 - 98.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Samurott Megahorn vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Tanga Berry Musharna: 96-114 (22.1 - 26.3%) -- 12.2% chance to 4HKO
+2
252+ Atk Samurott Megahorn vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Tanga Berry Musharna: 192-226 (44.3 - 52.1%) -- 17.2% chance to 2HKO

Abomasnow @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 92 Atk / 188 SpA / 228 Spe
Naive Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Blizzard
- Earthquake
- Energy Ball
Normally, Samurott can KO Abomasnow with a Megahorn before it can hit it. Choice Scarf Abomasnow is quite weak. but a cool set nontheless and pretty good vs Offense. It outpaces Samurott and can KO it with either Wood Hamemr or Energy Ball. Nothing too much about it; Samurott is just normally faster.

Scarf Abomasnow is cool but 252 Spe Hasty is the default spread for Abomasnow, so it already outspeeds Adamant Samurott (which is also standard). I would never leave my Adamant Samurott in vs an Abomasnow, for instance. Heck, I'd go as far as saying that Jolly Samurott is a pretty good lure for Abomasnow. :p

Cacturne @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Giga Drain
- Dark Pulse
- Sucker Punch
- Drain Punch / Spikes
Usually, Samurott can outspeed this Shady Cactus and Absol-utely obliterate it with a Megahorn or X-Scissor. But, with a Choice Scarf and Maximum Special Attack, Cacturne can turn the tables on the Samurai, as Giga Drain is a guaranteed OHKO (252+ SpA Cacturne Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 332-392 (100.3 - 118.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO).

Hey guys! Thanks to everyone for their submissions. This week's winners, who had to lure Samurott, are:
PrinceLucian's Counter Jynx
Allstar's explosion Regirock
Yogibears' scarf Exeggutor
Congrats!

This week's threat is...

Charizard @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power Grass
- Roost

Submissions end on Sunday.

Shiftry @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpDef
Adamant Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- Sucker Punch / Low Kick
Submitting the second Hoenn Grass/Dark-type in a row, Shiftry would usually get destroyed by a Flamethrower. However, the Choice Scarf saves the day as Shiftry outspeeds Charizard with the Choice Scarf (259 * 1.5 = 388 > 328) and can OHKO with Rock Slide (252+ Atk Shiftry Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Charizard: 368-436 (123.9 - 146.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO).

Garbodor (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 248 HP / 200 Def / 60 Spe
Impish Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Rock Blast
- Toxic Spikes
- Spikes
Rock Blast is mainly for Scyther, but it works for Charizard too. Garbodor can live any hit from LO Charizard from full and KO it back with Rock Blast. Gunk Shot does a chunk too, but doesn't OHKO, where Rock Blast does. Nothing too much about it, just hope that you hit your Rock Blast and don't get flinched by Air Slash.

Not to be picky but we already had to lure bulky Zard and the lures for that set work almost equally for the special set. Anyway here's my lure:

Combusken @ Eviolite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Thunder Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Low Kick

Tpunch is a cool move on Busken since it deals with Flying types like Peli, Mantine and Zard. Combusken outspeeds Zard at +1.

+2 252 Atk Combusken Thunder Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Charizard: 300-354 (101 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

So, special zard is very happy to swap into steelix, as the worst it can normally do to it is hit it with a toxic, or a NVE heavy slam. However, this doesn't hold true for any steelix carrying stone edge, which can easily OHKO on the switchin.

Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 136 Atk / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Stealth Rock

136+ Atk Steelix Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Charizard: 392-464 (131.9 - 156.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Carracosta @ Rindo Berry
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Rock Slide / Rock Tomb
- Knock Off / Aqua Jet

Defensive Carracosta has been getting a little bit of hype lately, and a specially defensive tank set can lure in special Charizard pretty well while still dealing with the likes of Tauros decently. While Fire Blast or Air Slash + HP Grass is usually enough to safely OHKO physically defensive variants, this variant takes considerably less damage and OHKOes back easily with Rock Slide. I think Rock Tomb could be a neat option too, as the lowered Speed can make certain threats a lot easier for teammates to deal with and it still easily gets the OHKO. It's a shame that Unnerve Pyroar can bypass the berry but Carracosta still lives after SR thanks to the EV spread. If your team already has a Stealth Rock user such as Mesprit, an AV set could also be a decent lure, although the lower switch-in damage might be a big tip-off.

252 SpA Life Orb Charizard Air Slash vs. 252 HP / 164 SpD Carracosta: 81-95 (23 - 26.9%)
252 SpA Life Orb Charizard Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 164 SpD Rindo Berry Solid Rock Carracosta: 131-154 (37.2 - 43.7%)

Gastrodon-East @ Rindo Berry
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Scald
- Mirror Coat
- Toxic

I love this thing as a grass lure, or to lure anything with a grass type move (except shiftry, rip mirror coat being a psychic move x.x) because it basically okhko's whatever hit it :3
252 SpA Life Orb Charizard Hidden Power Grass vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Rindo Berry Gastrodon: 177-211 (41.6 - 49.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Hey guys. This week's winners are:
Shadestep's Rock Blast Garbodor
erisia's Rindo Berry Carracosta
Yogibears' Rindo Berry Gastrodon
Congrats!

This week's threat is...

Exeggutor @ Choice Specs
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sleep Powder
Submissions end on Thursday.

Liepard @ Black Glasses
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit

Trap eggy putting it in rocks damage range so it can't do that much work. (83-98 roll), eggy should always want to switch-out vs liepards expecting either u-turn or a dark move, and pursuit isn't that common.

Vileplume @ Choice Specs
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]

This was quite a hard one to do, because the things that beat it are p-obvious, but the things that lose to it pretty much just lose outright. Though I did pull out this little gem from an older meme team. I actually really like this thing because its access to moonblast is a godsend imo, and with decent special attack and nice bulk, it's able to be a nice specs user! Can't switch in tho :3

252 SpA Choice Specs Vileplume Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Exeggutor: 552-650 (166.7 - 196.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Gawn lol :P

Prinplup @ Eviolite
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Signal Beam

Who says you have to give free switch ins? Just a little extra chip damage and Eggy is gone.

0 SpA Prinplup Signal Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Exeggutor: 260-308 (78.5 - 93%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Zweilous @ Choice Band
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Outrage
- Superpower
- Head Smash

This is a good choice because of typing and stab crunch. Zweilous has multiple options to take out executor. It has multiple options to do damage to other Pokemon when executor when it switches out.

That isn't a lure though, no one is going to switch in their Egg or have it stay in vs. a Zweilous.

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 144 SpD / 112 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald / Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Signal Beam
- Ice Beam / Hidden Power [Grass] / Thunderbolt

Don't feel like writing up a whole paragraph about why this lures in Exeggutor since it should be pretty obvious. Plus hits Abomasnow and Malamar.

252+ SpA Lanturn Signal Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Exeggutor: 360-424 (108.7 - 128%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Sandslash @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- X-Scissor
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off / Swords Dance
Sandslash usually gets demolished by a Leaf Storm from Specs Egg, but with this set, that won't be the case.
- Sandslash usually only runs enough Speed to outspeed Jolly Rhydon (124 EVs). Someone using Exeggutor that knows this may think that they can outspeed, but with these EVs, Sandslash will outspeed 210 to 208.
- Exeggutor at full can usually take a Knock Off, only dying after 3 Layers of Spikes (252+ Atk Sandslash Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Exeggutor: 222-262 (67 - 79.1%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO after 3 layers of Spikes), but with the not too common X-Scissor, you can guarantee an OHKO (252+ Atk Sandslash X-Scissor vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Exeggutor: 364-432 (109.9 - 130.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
