[TT2 - Round 2] jayelt413 (Daybreak) vs. YellowAdminSilver (Midnight Machine)

"Hello everyone, and welcome to a singles battle in the second round of ASB's second team tournament! This should be an exciting, high-level match between two skilled battlers! Let's check out the rules."

3v3 Singles
3-day DQ
Abilities = ALL
Items = ALL
Switch = KO
3/5 Recoveries/Chills
3 Substitutions
1 Mega-Evolutions

Arena = ASB Standard Arena

Self-KO clause; in the event of a double KO to end the match, the Pokemon that KOed itself through whatever means (self-KOing move, energy exhaustion, etc) loses.
"Excellent. Now I'll have some friends to help me with the team introductions."

"First up we've got jay. Now listen here this team is wimpy. This trainer is a wimp. A wimp you hear? I hope he loses. I hope he gets broken into a million tiny pieces. Especially his Greninja. Hate that thing. No skill."

"Next we've got Team YAS. These Pokemon are all pretty scary...ooh...they would probably all beat me. Especially Kitsunoh, it might be especially valuable to shut down Gardevoir...ooh...bad memories *shudder*"
Greed is... strange. Many chalk it up to living in a cave for the longest time, since it seems the solitude has messed with his people skills, among other things. He has a bit of an obsession with things that shine in the darkness, as well as a not-so-small case of kleptomania. Greed is also fixated on hoarding money and jewels, which, strangely, he doesn't eat, unlike most of his species. Suffice it to say, he's not entirely right in the head, which freaks Zelda out to no end. Still, he's an able battler, and he will always go all-out in a fight--albeit for a price.

Greed joined Silver as soon as the position of Dark Gym Leader became open, presumably because he felt that a substancious reward would come from helping the young Trainer secure the position. Even as the aftermath of that decision has brought more work than gain for himself, it seems Greed is content with making a name for himself in the battlefield, rather than hoarding rocks in a cave in Hoenn.

Belladonna is the first--and so far only--Pokémon that Silver has caught. Silver only did this because Belladonna was scaring Zelda, and he thought that if he caught the Ghost Pokémon she would stop staring. Belladonna's red-eyed stared remains, however, as does Zelda's apprehension for her teammate. The fact that it took an inordinately long time for Belladonna to speak her first words did nothing to soothe Zelda's nerves, although her lack of words could be explained by the fact that the small Nohface didn't have a face at the time.

After evolution, however, Belladonna did grow a face--five of them, to be precise. And just as Silver had hoped, the addition of faces has allowed Belladonna to speak in a voice that others can hear. Three voices, in fact, since it seems that the faces can communicate independently of each other. Belladonna's regular voice seems to come from her front face, while the heads above her shoulders seem to communicate in whispers. The faces above her hind legs appear to be reserved for blood-curdling screams and terrifying howls, but also for some foreign languages, like German.

Zelda still wishes B would stop staring at her.

Belladonna - Kitsunoh (F).
Type: Ghost / Steel
Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move.
Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray.

>_> I thought I posted here.

Also I've been on LoA since Friday...

Which whilst it ended Monday, would still mean I wouldn't be DQ'able from here.

Kecleon @ Everstone

EDIT @ Below: Even if it called for 72h, that 72h didn't end until about 24h from this post...

EDIT @ Fishedit: I haven't self-reffed a flash at all this weekend. Only things that I "self-reffed" were clearing out my over-DQ reffings for RPs

Last edited:
Your LoA called for 72 hours; it's been 104. Also, in that meantime you've had the time to order in gym matches, ref flashes and self-ref other training matches.

So I'll just do what Texas did the other time we were in a similar situation (lol) and wait for the host's discretion.

DogfishEdit: Objecting to the below for the record - 'sporadic activity' is hardly an LoA, especially when this was just on a send out, nobody was tagged at all, and you self-reffed flashes in the time period.

Rules state that you can extend your DQ by a total of 5 days in a match due to LOAs. jayy called his LOA friday morning through through monday morning, burning two days of his LOA leniency as the round was posted saturday morning. As at the time of posting jayy was approximately 30 hours past the end of his LOA, that marking the beginning of his order period due to temp LOA.

He's used two days of LOA leniency out of five, DQ is not enforced, initial DQ warning remains intact. Carry on.

jayelt413 YellowAdminSilver

Also, tournament matches should be your first priority; if you have to decide between posting for a tournament match and posting for another match, then unless you are severely risking DQ in the other match or have already done a tournament round that day then you should post in the tournament match.
Oh my, how did this get here?

Er i don't hang out with stranger, but if you're here to take care of this I'm fine by that, I need to take of something else anyways, see ya later old man!

...old? ;~;

.....Jayy replace his fainted Greninja with Kal'bir carrying a lame stone. With Alina on cooldown this seems like an easy KO.

Kal'bir begins to praise the sun! Alina cools down after performing a MK fatality on The Artist. Kal'bir concentrated a lot of heat into his fist and released his focused attack onto the Aurumoth.
Now that Kal'bir is a Fire Type, Alina focuses all of her willpower into her horns and rams them into the Kecleon. Kal'bir had to cooldown after concentrating so much sun into his attack.
Alina materialize her brain waves (this sounds very creepy to imagine) and sends them crashing into the Kecleon. Kal'bir claps his hand together. He then opens them and a ball of shadows begins to appear. Kecleon then blast the shadow ball at Alina causing her to be surrounded by shadowy figures.

Hm? Alina is still alive, wonder what Jayy is planning o3o

Weak Armor shouldn't have triggered.
Psyshock deals 15.5 since it checks against Def (also it would've done less against my SpD)

Kecleon: Fake Out - Fake Out - Fake Out

Yassy replaces his Aurumoth with Greed the Sableye, who's really happy they're not holding an Everstone this battle, instead he's holding a Sableyenite, ready to mega evolve whenever his trainer his ready!

As Greed changes his form, Kal'bir sends out a purple wave that surrounds the battlefield,feels almost as weird as Trick Room except I'm not upside down and feeling like i need to puke \o/. Greed raises his hand, as he does this, it began to glow white. He leaves his Ruby and karate chops Kal'bir's head, but due to the wave they're surrounded by, Kal'bir becomes hard as Rampardos' Head.
Kal'bir enchants Greed with his beauty and convinced the Sableye into striking himself. This Foul Play caused the Sableye to become pissed and slides his ruby at Kal'bir, sweeping the Kecleon off his feet and knocking him down onto the ground.
Kal'bir changes his colors and summons boulders to fall ontop of Greed, where do these boulders come from you may be thinking? Who knows don't question Pokemon logic. Greed tries to Brick Break the Kecleon hoping to damage the Kecleon even more, but Kal'bir is just chilling.

Hmm, that crit was generous

Kecleon @ Everstone
Foul Play - Rock Slide - Foul Play
IF Mega Sableye is to use a Damaging Fighting Move, THEN Shadow Claw and push back
IF you do not have Protean when you are to act, THEN Role Play and push back
IF Mega Sableye is to use Taunt, THEN Magic Coat and push back

A Protean sub strikes me as really odd when the only way of taking away your abilities would be to bet on like a 40% chance from Metronome, but ok. Back to business.

Narwhal Blast, bitch.

Greed's ruby summons a orb that engulfs the gem, surrounding it with it's metalic silvery color. Kal'bir beguiles the Sableye into striking his ruby, making it glow whiter and shine brighter! Greed flings the orb off his ruby and onto the Kecleon. Right when the orb touches its target, it explodes! blasting Kal'bir into the walls of the arena.
Greed looks up into the sky and absorbs moonlight to recover...even though it's day time and the sun is shining right above them. It's night time somewhere maybe that's where he's absorbing moonlight? Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Kal'bir summons more random boulders that tumbling down from the sky on top of the Sableye.
Greed surrounds his ruby with another metalic orb and waits for the Kecleon to enchant him again with another foul play. Greed's waiting paid off as Kal'bir haven't learned his lesson yet and is smacked in the face with another silvery orb.

RIP Kal'bir as Jayy is now down to his last Pokemon, luckily for him, it's a Tier 1 (or tier 1.5 if he doesn't Mevove >3>) Pokemon, will Daisy have the guts to win it all?

Fake Out - Pain Split - Shadow Claw

[IF] a P/E move is used, Chill on the first instance, use Moonlight on the second, pushing actions back each time. Do not trigger consecutively.
[IF] Skill Swap is used [AND] you are not to use Fake Out that action, [AND] Gardevoir is not to use Skill Swap on the following action [AND] Gardevoir did not use Skill Swap on the action prior, use Detect that action instead and push actions back.
[IF] you are below 42HP when you would use Pain Split, use Shadow Ball that action instead
