[LCT Finals] Birkal vs. Matezoide

Rules
Pokemon: 3v3
Format: Singles
DQ: Strict 72h Disqualification. One warning per player. After the warning is used (any tag after DQ interval is passed will be counted as warning), the Player has one hour to post (with full orders/pokemon, just saying "orders coming watch this space" doesn't suffice) after DQ is called to rescind it. If one hour passes, the player is DQ'd regardless of the ref posting or not. User calling DQ must tag DQ'd player. Referees please tag the combatants when you have finished your reffing. Players, if you know you're going to be away you better post a Leave of Absence BEFORE you leave, or give a very good reason in case of an emergency.

Arena
The ASB Tournament Arena
Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Simple
Format: All

Restrictions: No Restrictions

Description: Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokémon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokémon battling arena. In the centre of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Poké Ball centre). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about 4.5m wide & creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is 24m wide, 33m long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it is an outdoor arena with a large water source & packed dirt. Pokémon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying-type Pokémon, who cannot leave the arena & cannot fly higher than 18m). This prevents Pokémon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokémon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Nature: Timid (- Attack, +Speed, +29% Accuracy)

Type: Ghost/Poison
Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status. Absorb Toxic Spikes on switch-in unless Flying-typed or using the ability Levitate. -- Accuracy when using Toxic, Poison Gas, or Poison Powder, hitting even during Dig, Fly, etc. Ignore Fog's accuracy reduction. Store Command.

Store Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's moves will have their poison / toxic effect chance double.
Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None

Ability:
Levitate (Passive):

This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.

<Fat Tony> [Murkrow] (M)

Nature: Hardy

Type: Dark/Flying
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.

Dark: Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.

Abilities:

Insomnia (Passive):

This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its Attack and BRT are increased by one (1) Rank and its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.
Supeer Luck (Passive):

This Pokemon's natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 50% of the time.
Prankster (HA UNLOCKED, Passive):

The Pokemon is always prepared for engaging in sneaky tactics and trickery, giving its non-damaging attacks a +1 increase in priority level.

As Mankey finally comes out to play that other primate wants to show off some of its tricks. First just removing an action altogether Chimchar then weathers a hit to take away any option Mankey had other than all out attacking. Finally a crit is both a blessing and a curse for Mate as Birkal immediately Counters back all the damage and we end the round pretty much square. Well that is, except for the fact that Mankey is left angrily shaking the ground for one more action.

If Magic Coat when you are to use Taunt, use Foul Play that action the first time, Dark Pulse the second and Foul Play the third. Push back actions.
If Misdreavus is under the effects of a P/E move, Chill that action.
If damaging Ice Type move outside if a combination AND you are faster AND Trick-Room isnt up, use Fly that action and push-back.

Next round we see mon being sent out: Mismagius the Misdreavus holding a Dusk Stone as well as Fat Tony holding a Dusk Stone, how come I don't get a Dusk Stone D:?

Birkal listens to his opponent's orders carefully and finds a flaw, Msmagius summons a protect and allows Murkrow to chill and relax as if it's on a vacation with the host. Immediately right before Fat Tony was going to closes his eyes, the Misdreavus disposes her Protect and and floats over to the Murkrow giving him a Mean Look, making Fat Tony feel trapped. Fat Tony sends out a pulse of darkness and a few Foul Plays to get away, but Mismagius' stare was so strong, she even split her pain with him.

If Murkrow is under the effects of a protective / evasive move, use Rain Dance on the first instance and Thunder on the second. Push back actions each time.

Well Mate succeeds in retuning the Mean Looking favour to Birkal but it comes at a much higher cost. Chinchou is able to get two massive hits on the crow, thanks in most part to some pesky paralysis. To make things even worse Gastly can probably only force a tie with the little fish, especially now that its raining all over the arena.

I do not believe I'll have the energy or will to keep this going. My LOA is still valid, but i do not wish to stall this any longer. It took me way too long for shit orders and, frankly, i can not promise it will not happen again. I am busy, and tired.

I am sorry for everyone that wanted to enjoy the match.

Forfeit.
