===================
**Pumpkaboo and Frillish**: Crabrawler has no way to deal with bulky Ghost-types which can easily burn it with Will-O-Wisp
**Fairy-types**: Crabrawler lacks coverage to threaten Fairy-types like Cottonee, Spritzee and Snubbull, who all can easily 2HKO Crabrawler with their Fairy-type STAB
**Bulky Psychic-types**: Crabrawler rarely runs any coverage to hit Psychic-types, so Slowpoke and more defensive variants of Gothita can switch in without taking much damage and eliminating Crabrawler with their STAB
**Foongus**: Earthquake only does a maximum of 40% and Foongus will always 2HKO with Sludge Bomb after Life Orb damage or can put Crabrawler to sleep with Spore
**Faster Pokemon**: Staryu, Abra, Doduo and other Pokemon with high attacking stats and more than 17 Speed can threaten Crabrawler but usually cannot safely switch in due to Crabrawler's high power attacks
- Reaches 17 Speed and Attack
- Defenses are passable, but not great
- Hyper Cutter is useful, but not amazing; Iron Fist is effectively useless on Crabrawler
- Can beat Pokemon that give other Fighting-types trouble, such as Mudbray and Mareanie
- Overshadowed by Mienfoo, Croagunk and Timburr as a bulky attacker
- Competes with Mankey offensively, who learns Gunk Shot and has a more useful ability
- Not learning Knock Off really hurts its matchup against Psychic and Ghost-types and Crabrawler requires support to deal with these Pokemon

Moves
========
- Close Combat is Crabrawler’s best Fighting STAB and, coming from 17 Attack, deals significant damage to any Pokemon that doesn’t resist it
- Crabhammer is a unique coverage option for Crabrawler and can 2HKO Eviolite Mudbray
- Earthquake hits Poison-types like Alolan Grimer and Mareanie
- Stone Edge is Crabrawler’s best option for hitting Flying-types like Rufflet and Vullaby
========
- EVs and Jolly nature give Crabrawler 17 Speed and 17 Attack with an extra point in Defense
- If you aren't running Life Orb, there is no reason to lower the HP IV to 0
- Life Orb can gaurantee 2HKOs on Mudbray, offensive Vullaby and Mareanie without Stealth Rock, although Crabrawler’s good Speed and Attack makes Choice Scarf also a valid option
- Life Orb is usually preferable for getting clean 2HKOes without hazards, but Choice Scarf allows Crabrawler to revenge kill easier; while Choice Scarf is viable, Mankey and Mienfoo are usually stronger options due to U-turn and abilities that synergize better with Choice Scarf
- Other possible item choices include Eviolite, Berry Juice, Shed Shell and Expert Belt
========
- You play with Crabrawler at 1% the same way you do at 100%: you attack things with high base power moves
- Crabrawler has decent defenses, but without investment it can't take too many neutral attacks. Be careful when switching it in
- Crabrawler may resist Stealth Rock, but is vulnerable to Spikes and Toxic Spikes; keep this in mind when switching it in
- Being a non-bulky Fighting-type, Crabrawler is incredibly vulnerable to trapping by Gothita. When playing against a team with Gothita, use Crabrawler carefully and be sure you don't need it for any other Pokemon before attempting to go for KO
========
- A Pursuit Trapper is an amazing teammate for Crabrawler for dealing with Psychic-types and threatening Ghost-types with their Dark-type STAB. Stunky, Alola Grimer and Pawniard are all powerful users of Pursuit that synergize well with Crabrawler
- Ponyta can threaten Pumpkaboo and absorb Will-O-Wisp directed at Crabrawler
- Crabrawler doesn't like switching into Scald, so having a Pokemon that can come in without fear of being crippled by a burn is a powerful option; Staryu is a solid choice for its ability to remove hazards
- Crabrawler can't really deal with bulky Fairy-types. Any Pokemon that can threaten them, such as Magnemite or Gastly, makes for a powerful ally
- Pairing Crabrawler with another offensive Fighting-type makes it easier to break through each other's checks, setting up a win condition of one another
- Sticky Web support makes Crabrawler less fearful of Choice Scarf users and faster Pokemon like Doduo and Ponyta

Other Options
=============
- Thief can be used to hit Ghost-types and makes Crabrawler a decent Knock Off absorber
- Bulk Up could work but really Crabrawler should just be hitting things, not trying to do something Mienfoo or Timburr can do much better
