Pokemon Shuffle General Discussion

50 moves on Wailord stage sheesh. Seems like a low-energy week otherwise, unless I decide to SS Groudon I guess?

Oh and Mega Glalie-Winking works like Mega Steelix but has 20(!!) MSU. Guess I should've saved up...

For Wailord, I recommend Tyranitar over Rayquaza. The disruptions at the beginning are obnoxious to combo with between singular icons at the bottom to eat a Mega use and the spam of rocks and blocks that Zekrom can't control. I went with Shaymin + Bellossom to try and lock Wailord since his disruption countdowns are fairly length. After a certain point Shaymin becomes better when the length shortens to 2 and Wailord essentially recreates the opening disruption each time.

Gonna need to build up some coins to finish the last Celebi stage and then grab the two strays from the Safari, but quiet week for content otherwise. Wailord's gonna be a thing to watch for whenever he gets a PSB stage, think I'll wait until then to give it the RML's.

Would you say that Mega Rayquaza is still viable, though? I'm not great at using Mega Tyranitar...

It could work, but you REALLY need to keep Wailord asleep if you hit the lategame moves.

One thing I will say, Wailord has an 8% + 2% per move rate, so if you finish with 21 natural moves, Great ball is a guaranteed catch. For those who want to save hearts and be done with it, you can manage that with an AP+ and DD (optional if you trust Shaymin/Bellossom procs)

Caught almost everything except that fucking rare Snorunt !

More SS/RML pokemon next week it seems
Probably M-Gyarados competition returns and Virizion special stage (I guess RML stage + PSB)

Maybe Primal Groudon/Kyogre or AT LEAST better abilities ?

There will be presents next week (maybe daily?), and yeah, RML and SS additions. Source.

Doubt it'll be Groudon and Kyogre though, seems odd to have them drop PSBs a week before they get new skills.

Did pretty bad in competition : 4th tier ... A shame ! :(

I guess I have to farm some Meowtwth + Shaymin

Tooo bad W-Audino is not Fairy type (or at least his evolution)

Mega Aggron + Mega S-Rayquaza =)))

Mega Aggron will be faster than Tyranitar (2 less icons) and Steel and Rock are two good types (Fairy, Ice, Rock vs Fire, Flying, Bug, Ice)
Mega Rayquaza is a Camerupt counterpart Flying vs Ground .... Two good types (but Flying really loves Mega Salamence too)

After about 30 hearts, I finally ran into Linoone in the Safari. Considering how rare it was, I used Great Balls to catch it on the third try. Naturally, I encountered it at least 5 times out of the next 7 attempts while trying to get shiny Mega Rayquaza... At least now I can focus on Volcanion, I guess.

Not another one of these. I'm down to 16k from Volcanion EB, and if this is a 200 Stage, that's 8 boss levels (every 25) I gotta prepare for. Hopefully I finish in time to grind PSB's. I haven't even touched the current main stages or S-Ranked all the previous update's.

Nice.

---

A light week, the lake trio are grindable as well as Cresselia, which makes me wonder what happens to that Safari and EB.

Speaking of EBs, Darkrai's back, and though the disruptions are similar, the HP in four stages is NOT. From Reddit:
50: 10,128 -> 14,559

150: 26,991 -> 28,000

175: 27,825 -> 76,000

200: 34,573 -> 88,000
What was once a cheap clear is now at least, guaranteed, two full item runs. Yeesh.

Hey so, the Tool Tip for the Azelf stage says "Bring Scizor and Heracross"...

Stage has Volbeat and Purrlion everywhere... The Uxie stage says bring Megar, but then there are metal blocks which Steelix would be better to clear. Do some of the tooltips just outright lie about what is good/useful for a stage?

It's very often that the tool tips are half-truths more than being outright lies. For example, the Scizor/Heracross example isn't wrong since you can bring both and still fit the Disrupted Volbeat/Purrloin, or the Uxie stage where Gengar is a SE Mega and there are SE Block Smash+ users. Usually it is good to check a bit before running if you're not sure on your strength, but some long time players have the raw power mons to push out a clear with other stuff and then optimize afterwards.

Were Purrloin and Volbeat Disruptions or part of the regular/skyfall mons?
