In the justification section examples of possible moves/abilities are allowed but they should only be used as hypotheticals. If you find that a concept that relies on very specific abilities or moves then chances are the concept is too narrow and not something that would get slated. Not that the exception is with role-defining moves, as exploudit seemed to mention above. However, it's not necessarily just about such concepts having a move that is "vital" to it, but rather that the move defines the role of the CAPmon; in effect, the move defines the concept.

To clarify, here's a few examples of feasible concepts that focus on role-defining moves:
-Hazard Remover (rapid spin, defog)
-Hazard Setter (spikes, stealth rock, toxic spikes)
-Cleric (aromatherapy, heal bell, healing wish)

However, concepts that offer little variation in execution while mandating specific moves/abilities would be bad concepts:
-Blizzard Spammer (requires a move in Blizzard and then forces an accuracy boosting ability or Snow warning; not a lot of room for proper discussion in the ability stage)
-A mon that uses drop boost moves but has a way to restore the drop boosts or turn them into an advantage (this concept is boring since it's easily solved with either contrary or white herb)

An example of how to talk about specific moves/abilities in a concept justification might look something like:
Concept: Kingdra of the Sun. Justification: Chlorophyll is obviously one possible ability, but other options such as Harvest or Solar Power exist , and our ability doesn't necessarily have to activate only in the sun so long as the mon as a whole works very well under the weather. For example, a lot of sun teams struggle with Stealth Rock, and so an ability like Magic Bounce could dissuade the opponent from setting up hazards, allowing the setter to more reliably set, making the CAP able to benefit from the sun more reliably / more often. (Not saying this is a good competitive explanation per se, but the main point is that abilities are being introduced as one option of many potential options, which shows the concept has flexibility and doesn't "poll jump" by mandating specific items.)

princeofallsaiyans There isn't really a set time. PRC applications are usually put up a month or so after the previous CAP is finished. The CAP project usually takes some time off and this can be anywhere from 2-5 months or even more.

Question about Necturna:

As we know, Necturna was initially made with the concept of "learns Sketch once" through egg move, and then the egg move mechanic was changed to screw this. Is there some chance we create a new move that is a Sketch clone, only with this restriction, and give it to her?

Something like:

Shadow Art
1 PP
If Necturna can't learn the target's last move naturally, permanently copies said move. Fails if Necturna already knows a copied move.

I know about the "avoid creating moves/abilites" restriction, but in this case, we would be just patching a hole created by mechanic changes, so i guess an exception could be made.

No. There is no need to change Necturna's access to sketch. It will stay learning only one Sketch moving despite the new egg move mechanic. The egg move relearning mechanic is a product on in-game changes and Necturna is not in-game so there's no need to do fancy changes that don't have any real impact for our purposes. Heck, for all we know if Necturna was in game it could be coded so that the move relearner would recognize a sketched move as sketch itself and thus not allow sketch to be relearned again; of course, this sentence is somewhat moot because Necturna is obviously not in game.

Is there a list showing the concepts of successful CAPmons? If so, where can it be located? E.g Kerfluffle - A mon that is defined by its use of Parting Shot.

There is not anywhere just listing all the concepts, however, they are all on the forums somewhere. Most can be found in their projects final product post, and links to all of those can easily be found in the EnCAPlopedia thread. Any that are not in the final product post can be found in their concept poll threads in the CAP Process Archive. Note that the first three CAP Pokemon really did not have any formal concept at all, and it was not until much further down the line that concepts started to follow the general format we use today.

Imagine that Aurora Veil is given to Fidgit in the updates. Will we modify Persistent to affect it?
If we're consistent with how it works now, we shouldn't. Light Clay extends Aurora Veil turns as well. Tbh as extending all things via Persistent would be kinda broke...

Now that the past-gen CAPmon updates will take place soon, will they be taken into effect once all of them are complete, or will each series of updates be implemented on Showdown one at a time?

I do not believe any official decision has been made on this yet, though it is a good question. I will definitely make sure it is discussed before we get too far into things.

I stumbled over a post by DHR-107 in one of the PR Threads that mentioned talking on Discord.
So I asked myself if there is an ofiicial CAP Discord Server that anyone can join? Or was the mentioned Discord probably a private chat?

As of now, we do not have a Discord but we do plan on making one in the future.

A few times a year a new CAP project will start; at the beginning of every new project is when concept submission are open. As the process moves on, other stages such as typing, abilities, stats, and movesets occur at different intervals.

To become a member of the Topic Leadership Team, you generally have had to prove yourself to the community through your involvement in past projects in through your expertise in other competitive Pokemon areas. Before each project starts, applications are opened for people to send in a written piece explaining why they think they are qualified to be on the TLT (or to be the Topic Leader in general). The moderators review the applications and remove applicants obviously under qualified, and those left remaining are voted on by the community with the winners forming the new TLT.

If you are just starting out, it is recommended that you just sit back and lurk for a bit to get a feel of what is expected; hen you have enough confidence you can then start sharing your opinions supported by your competitive reasoning, etc.

Flash CAPs are completely unscheduled (like flash floods) and thus they have no time frame and cannot be reliably categorized as occurring at a regular rate that would give the answer to your question any sort of concrete answer.

In other words, they happen completely at random. So far, they have had a two month gap, but that may change in the future. We pretty much do it when the room mods feel like doing it.
