Victim Of The Week [VoTW #27 - Zygarde / Zygarde-Complete]

@ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Knock Off
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower / Poison Jab
- Clear Smog / Stone Edge / Poison Jab

A-Muk is able to freely switch in Psychic-type attacks, being immune to those, and can take fairy stabs pretty well. For example:

From Scarf Lele: 252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 40-48 (18.8 - 22.6%) -- possible 5HKO
Modest Lele: 252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 43-52 (20.2 - 24.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
Choice Specs Modest Lele: 252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 66-78 (31.1 - 36.7%) -- 60.3% chance to 3HKO
Modest Fairium-Z + Moonblast (guaraunteed 3HKO):
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Twinkle Tackle (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 148 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 96-114 (45.2 - 53.7%) -- 35.5% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 148 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 52-63 (24.5 - 29.7%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

and can even survive to the combination of Guardian of Alola, doing 75%, and a Moonblast from a Modest Lele, doing under 25%,
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 43-52 (20.2 - 24.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

Always OHKOing in return with Gunk Shot, even if Lele is somehow running max hp and 4 def:
4 Atk Muk-Alola Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tapu Lele: 180-212 (101.6 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Not only, it has the access to strong Fire-type moves such as Fire Blast, to eventually hit steel-types on the switch in, for example:
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mega Scizor: 120-144 (67.7 - 81.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Scizor: 88-104 (49.7 - 58.7%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO

0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 128 SpD Ferrothorn: 96-116 (53 - 64%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 80-96 (44.1 - 53%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 44-52 (26.3 - 31.1%) -- plus ->
4 Atk Muk-Alola Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Blade: 134-158 (80.2 - 94.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO [not being ohkoed by a +2 Sacred Sword from adamant aegislash]

...or just rip off the item/scout for z-moves on incomming switches with Knock Off.

And if you fear missing those low accuracy moves, with 108 EVs in attack and a Brave nature, Poison Jab will be enough to OHKO the majority of Lele's set, still
not being 2HKO by nothing barring the combination of Guardian of Alola and Moonblast, that would just happen if you are switching in, otherwise you'll win the 1vs1.

108+ Atk Muk-Alola Poison Jab vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 146-174 (100 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

(>_<)7 (Wobbuffet) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 140 HP / 116 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Mirror Coat
- Counter
- Encore
- Destiny Bond

Trap Lele and bop it. This thing can switch in on a Specs Shadow Ball and live thanks to the Sitrus Berry to KO with Mirror Coat on the next turn:

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 140 HP / 252+ SpD Wobbuffet: 150-178 (53 - 62.8%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

Encore helps shut down Calm Mind Lele, allowing you to safely switch something in while it's stuck CMing. Destiny Bond isn't as reliable anymore since you can't spam it (and Custap Berry isn't released yet either) but Safeguard and Charm aren't heaps better anyway.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Meteor Mash / Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt

Cool mon, hits hard and relatively fast and switches in on literally any move Tapu Lele might use barring Shadow Ball so you just come in and kill it—Scarf Lele cannot 2HKO and Specs is outsped before nailing Metagross down. Also deals with non-ScarfChomp and Landorus-T in a pinch if it gets a safe switch in. The icing on the cake is that it fares relatively well against all of the ever-so popular Tapus and Mimikyu.

Yay first actual nomination this Gen. Tapu Lele is significantly less bulky on the Physical side, and while the generic special Aegislash can handle many Tapu Lele that you'll see on Battlespot, it can still have a hard time against the SE coverage from the offensive sets. This is where this set comes in, specifically tailored to handle all Tapu Leles:

Top Lel (Aegislash) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 244 HP / 172 Atk / 92 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Iron Head / Shadow Claw
- King's Shield
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance / Shadow Sneak

First off, some lovely calcs:
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 90-108 (54.2 - 65%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
This is the limit for Tapu Lele, more than Modest Specs Shadow Ball is just not possible.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield on a critical hit: 136-162 (81.9 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
Even a crit won't kill!
252 SpA Tapu Lele Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 112-132 (67.4 - 79.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
Nope.
252 SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 56-68 (33.7 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
Scarf even is only a 4HKO.
252 SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Blade: 124-146 (74.6 - 87.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
Lol.

172 Atk Aegislash-Blade Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tapu Lele: 182-216 (102.8 - 122%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Guaranteed even against Max HP Lele.

Edit: I slashed Shadow Claw as the main STAB, since even with missing out on the guaranteed OHKO on max HP Tapu Lele (172 Atk Aegislash-Blade Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 162-192 (91.5 - 108.4%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO), it provides better overall coverage and doesn't let you be walled by opposing Aegislash for example. The only bulky Lele set that could probably beat you when choosing Shadow Claw and risking to miss out on the OHKO would be Modest Ghostium-Z 252 HP / 252 SpA Lele anyways, which has a chance to 2HKO:
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 122-144 (73.4 - 86.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 244 HP / 92+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 62-74 (37.3 - 44.5%) | After a max roll Never-Ending Nightmare and Sitrus, Shadowball has 87.5% to KO.

Seeing that Ghostium Z on Tapu Lele has .4% usage and i'd imagine max HP Modest with it is even rarer to encounter at the ladder, this might still be the better option overall, although you definitely risk taking 2 attacks from bulky Lele sets.
(Tapunium Z Lele will leave you with 50% health after the first turn, enough to live a modest Shadow Ball)

King's Shield is a given (also to beat Sash if that's something you would ever run into), the other two slots are free to handle other things Aegislash might have to deal with. Sacred Sword is really useful since it hits P2 and ignores all stat changes including evasion on any annoying Pokemon that dares to set up Minimizes against you. Shadow Sneak is great if there's no Terrain up anymore to pick off some foes, while Swords Dance lets you mitigate eventual Burns and become even more threatening against passively playing opponents. Swords Dance is probably preferred since you really can use the additional power on this set.

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake / Rock Slide
- Leech Seed
- Substitute / Flamethrower

Sp Def Celesteela is able to switch in most of Lele's attacks barring Thunderbolt and either scare it out or KO it with a Heavy Slam.

252+ SpA Tapu Lele Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 82-98 (40.1 - 48%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 56-66 (27.4 - 32.3%) -- 65% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 122-144 (59.8 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 82-98 (40.1 - 48%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

4 Atk Celesteela Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 174-206 (119.1 - 141%) -- guaranteed OHKO

The other moves are very standard. EQ hits most Fire and Steel switch ins, Rock Slide does a ton to Charizard and Volcarona on the switch, Sub makes Celesteela very annoying and Flamethrower helps against Ferrothorn and Scizor.

4 Atk Celesteela Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Charizard: 144-172 (94.1 - 112.4%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

4 Atk Celesteela Rock Slide vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 164-196 (101.8 - 121.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

0- SpA Celesteela Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 128+ SpD Ferrothorn: 96-116 (53 - 64%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

0- SpA Celesteela Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 88-104 (48.6 - 57.4%) -- 40.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

0- SpA Celesteela Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Scizor: 96-116 (54.2 - 65.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This my first time doing this things so if there's any corrections, I'll take care of it.

Tapu Bulu @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Horn Leech
- Superpower
- Rock Tomb

When Bulu is in the field, it replaces the psychic terrain to grassy terrrain, which reduces the psychic type boosts of Lele and heal Bulu a bit. Bulu can survive all Lele's known moves such as psychic, psyshock and etc. Wood Hammer is for maximum damage, Horn Leech for the restoring its health after taking a blow from Lele.

Damage Calculations

252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Wood Hammer vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele in Grassy Terrain: 214-253 (146.5 - 173.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Horn Leech vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele in Grassy Terrain: 135-159 (92.4 - 108.9%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tapu Bulu: 54-64 (30.5 - 36.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery
252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tapu Bulu: 57-67 (32.2 - 37.8%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery
252 SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tapu Bulu: 32-38 (18 - 21.4%) -- possible 7HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tapu Bulu: 102-120 (57.6 - 67.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tapu Bulu: 52-62 (29.3 - 35%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tapu Bulu: 78-94 (44 - 53.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers/ Occa berry/ Aguav Berry
Sassy Nature
252 HP/ 4 Atk / 252 SpDef
-Gyro ball
-Leech seed
-Bullet seed/power whip
-Protect

This is capable to shut down a max Sp. Atk and max HP with only 1 Gyro ball and surviving the strongest attack from lele, HP Fire, even if it is specs:

4 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 180-212 (101.6 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 152-180 (83.9 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Occa berry could be used to survive the HP fire even after SR, aguav to restore many HP as possible after HP fire from lele. Nothing else to say here, just destroys it.

Heatran @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Overheat
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Yesterday I waited so long Dogknees' post but then I was much tired and I went to sleep. Today after waking up, I took my phone and checked the new victim.
"Tapu Lele, uh. Well, I think the best mons against this thing are Scizor, Aegislash or a SpDef Celesteela. I brought Celesteela twice and never won, maybe this time... Oh! There is another page that I have to read... Wait, what, people took all the checks and counters! "

Well, so, I checked the PGL usage, Tapu Lele is mostly Choice Scarf, Focus Blast is just the 7th most used move, in the Smogon Usage it doesn't even appear, there's Hidden Power Ground that is 8th though.
So Heatran can handle it, even 'cause Hetran is pretty unexpecting right now, and it takes well even Tapu Koko, Celesteela, Aegislash and Ferrothorn.

252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Heatran in Psychic Terrain: 55-66 (27.7 - 33.3%) -- Miniscule chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 19-23 (9.5 - 11.6%) -- possible 9HKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 44-52 (22.2 - 26.2%) -- 6.9% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 132-156 (66.6 - 78.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Not Enough

252+ SpA Choice Specs Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Lele: 204-240 (139.7 - 164.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Then, Did y'know? In-game Heatran has a sprite bug and when you put it in sleep it keeps its eyes open.

Bronzong @ Occa Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 236 SpD (EV Spread with Lefties: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 124 Def / 4 SpA / 108 SpD)
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Trick Room / Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion / Protect / Earthquake
- Stealth Rock / Toxic

A TR setter with Gyro Ball, Trick Room, Stealth rock and Explosion, a bulky toxic staller with Gyro Ball, Toxic, Protect and HP Ice, or a SR setter with 3 solid attacks. This mon has options.
Occa is the preffered item on the TR set as it lets it TR in front of Volcarona and Blaziken.

Against Lele
Being 4x resistant to its terrain boosted STAB is a boon for Bronzong, along with a resistance to Lele's secondary STAB and a great SpDef stat it can take a hit or two. Of course, as with all Lele checks, it can be beaten by certain sets. Choice Specs Shadow Ball will 2HKO Bronzong. Specs Lele in general, however, has no true safe switch-in.
20 Atk Bronzong Gyro Ball (108 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 146-174 (100 - 119.1%)
Modest 252 Speed Lele
20 Atk Bronzong Gyro Ball (85 BP) vs. 252 HP / 224 Def Tapu Lele: 90-108 (50.8 - 61%)
Modest 4 Speed Lele, 252/224 is the bulkiest Lele I've seen so far.
Bulkier scarf varients are 1HKOd due to increase in speed/Gyro Ball base power

Occa (TR) spread
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Bronzong: 68-80 (39 - 45.9%)
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Bronzong: 45-53 (25.8 - 30.4%)
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Bronzong: 76-90 (43.6 - 51.7%) -- 9.8% chance to 2HKO (3hko with Occa of course)

Lefties spread
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 108+ SpD Bronzong: 74-88 (42.5 - 50.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 108+ SpD Bronzong: 49-58 (28.1 - 33.3%) -- 97% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 108+ SpD Bronzong: 84-100 (48.2 - 57.4%) -- 55.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (9.8% with an extra lefties turn from Protect)

Just to show it's good for other popular mons
Volcarona and Blaziken
+1 252+ SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Occa Berry Bronzong: 106-126 (60.9 - 72.4%)

252+ SpA Volcarona Inferno Overdrive (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Occa Berry Bronzong: 118-141 (67.8 - 81%)

252+ SpA Life Orb Blaziken Overheat vs. 252 HP / 228+ SpD Occa Berry Bronzong: 95-113 (54.5 - 64.9%)

252+ Atk Blaziken Inferno Overdrive (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 124 Def Occa Berry Bronzong: 133-157 (76.4 - 90.2%)

You survive and TR.

The rest use the Lefties Build, as it's more in-line with the role it fills.
Garchomp

Gothitelle (M) @ Lum Berry/Sitrus Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Mirror Coat
- Toxic
- Rest / Protect

Like cant say's Wobbuffet, Gothitelle can come in on Psychic and Focus Blast and trap and kill Tapu Lele. With Sitrus Berry, it can even come in on Specs Shadow Ball with the same chance to live as Wobbuffet. The cool thing about Gothitelle though is that it is more flexible and therefore has more of a surprise effect and utility. Mirror Coat is a given on Wobbuffet, but here it's a surprise, considering almost all Gothitelles are Calm Mind. It doesn't matter much for Tapu Lele itself, which is always 4 attacks anyway, but it can end up surprising other Pokemon it has trapped. If you opt for Rest and Lum Berry over Sitrus Berry, you have a good chance to trap something later on as well. With Toxic, it can even wear down more defensive Pokemon, meaning this set can take down Pokemon in both offense and stall teams.

  • You can't vote for your own submission

  • You can vote even if you haven't made a submission. It is expected that you vote if you did submit yourself, but not compulsory

While Lele's psychic terrain manages to utterly stuff Scizor's Bullet Punches and is often a big ol' nuisance to Scizor's sweeps, Mega Scizor has enough defensive presence with Roost, its decently workable 70/100 special defenses, and smorgasbord of alternative coverage options to nail Lele with if you choose for whatever reason to not just wait 4 turns for psychic terrain to end (it's not that long, i swear!), such as Knock Off and Bug Bite.

While it's firmly parked directly in front of the psychic demon (if they don't immediately switch when they realize they cannot break it) it can easily swords dance on non-HP Fire variants (hell, if you run it on rain, you can even do that!).

Here's a set I've used to pretty decent success as a catch-all Tapu Lele answer and late-game cleaner if the opponent is bold enough to keep their fires in for more than 1 turn against a team with Dugtrio in team preview. Its use on my team has primarily role compression of mimi rker and lele switchin in mind, but the set is generic enough that you can try to use it on your own teams if it fits well enough on it. Try it out!

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Flash Cannon
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash can switch in on most of Lele's attacks, with the exception of Shadow Ball, and return the favor with an OHKO:
252+ SpA Aegislash-Blade Shadow Ball vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Lele: 150-176 (102.7 - 120.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Leftovers allows Aegi to switch in on Shadow Ball and still counter Modest Lele, in case you really want to get rid of it, but otherwise Weakness Policy is a superior item:
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 72-86 (43.1 - 51.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Aegi can counter Timid Lele without using leftovers:
252 SpA Tapu Lele Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 66-78 (39.5 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Knock Off
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower / Poison Jab
- Clear Smog / Stone Edge / Poison Jab

A-Muk is able to freely switch in Psychic-type attacks, being immune to those, and can take fairy stabs pretty well. For example:

From Scarf Lele: 252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 40-48 (18.8 - 22.6%) -- possible 5HKO
Modest Lele: 252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 43-52 (20.2 - 24.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
Choice Specs Modest Lele: 252+ SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 66-78 (31.1 - 36.7%) -- 60.3% chance to 3HKO
Modest Fairium-Z + Moonblast (guaraunteed 3HKO):
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Twinkle Tackle (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 148 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 96-114 (45.2 - 53.7%) -- 35.5% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 148 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 52-63 (24.5 - 29.7%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

and can even survive to the combination of Guardian of Alola, doing 75%, and a Moonblast from a Modest Lele, doing under 25%,252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 43-52 (20.2 - 24.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

Always OHKOing in return with Gunk Shot, even if Lele is somehow running max hp and 4 def:4 Atk Muk-Alola Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tapu Lele: 180-212 (101.6 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Not only, it has the access to strong Fire-type moves such as Fire Blast, to eventually hit steel-types on the switch in, for example:
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mega Scizor: 120-144 (67.7 - 81.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Scizor: 88-104 (49.7 - 58.7%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO

0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 128 SpD Ferrothorn: 96-116 (53 - 64%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 80-96 (44.1 - 53%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 44-52 (26.3 - 31.1%) -- plus ->

(>_<)7]
(Wobbuffet) @ Sitrus Berry

Just to show it's good for other popular mons
Volcarona and Blaziken

You survive and TR.

The rest use the Lefties Build, as it's more in-line with the role it fills.

20 Atk Bronzong Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Metagross: 50-60 (32.2 - 38.7%) -- 96.4% chance to 3HKO

Immune to EQ and Toxic, best it likely has is Yawn.
Mimikyu @ Focus Sash / Fairium Z
Ability: Disguise
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Play Rough

You all know what it does. More of a check rather than a counter/switch-in. But a very solid check that finds good use on many offensive teams and against many other pokemon in the meta.

I was talkin' about this days ago in BS room. Dark-type makes Muk such a good pokémon, sure it worked better in pre-bank meta, but as mah boi showed us, Muk-A can still do his work, and I mean, beating down Lele is not nothing.

Jhon's Bronzong
Really cool Pokémon to handle Tapu Lele, and even if it's kinda hard to fit on a team over some of the other nominations, i think it still does the best job if you really need a single slot answer to the beast.

smh dogness get my name right :^)

Voting ThickFatAzumarill's Celesteela.

Celesteela still one of the best walls at the game and every team must have a way to deal with it. At general steel-types are good wall to tapu lele, even if it has Focus blast, HP fire, thunderbolt. They wall, support and still got space to deal damage.

I don't like aegis, it kills me

Voting average fella's Scizor

I wanted to vote Muk, as it's one of the few mons that can switch in Lele regardless of its set, but it's overwhelmed by most of the powerful teammates Lele can have in the post-bank meta. Scizor only really cares about Specs and HP fire, and I'm having sucess using it.

i don't care's Heatran

I vastly prefer having a steel with immaculate neutral bulk that doesn't care about them shadow balls, a common coverage, as opposed to focus blast/hp fire which are seen only really as lures and as filler. also love them fires and love specs overheat tran in general, makes the opponent have to make a very committal choice upon realizing their noncommittal lele play just got them knees-deep in a lethal 50/50...

Jhon

Bronzong is actually a nice anti-meta pick now, having a superb advantage in the matchup against Lele and against other common mons like Garchomp and Mamoswine.

I still think Celesteela is a really solid choice and more viable overall than Bronzong, which would be my second choice after Jhon and I made that weird Wishiwashi + Torterra team.

Jhon's Bronzong

Effectively, with an Occa Berry, it has no weaknesses apart from Dark and Ghost, with both of these types rarely seen as coverage moves. An innovative alternative way to ignore Lele's speed with the combo of Trick Room and Gyro Ball, as that also makes Lele's immunity to priority irrelevant.

i dont care

Aside from the occasional focus miss and even rarer HP Ground, Heatran typically doesn't have too much to fear from Lele and has great general application in the meta since the increase in prominence of steel/fairy as offensive types has made the bulky fire a more useful team member than ever.

I really like Metagross so I was going to vote for Corrin but I've been enjoying SpD Ferro on the ladder lately so I have to give my vote to 3heartschall. Z-Focus Blast is annoying but it's super uncommon, Hidden Power Fire doesn't OHKO and can be played around very well if Lele locks itself into it if you have a boosting mon. Meta has trouble with the Scarf set since it can run away and revenge Meta with Shadow Ball.
