Nature madness tapu koko + seismic toss kangaskhan ko almost anything on a single turn, sky drop is also a cool option since it gives free turns for zygarde to set up or hit something faster you want to ko with thousand arrows since it also hits on the sky. Used a SamVGC set I wanted to try on tapu fini and seemed nice for this team to swagger either zygarde, kangaskhan or ttar. Ttar helps with psychic spam and adds a second win condition to the team with rock polish+weakness policy. I had no ground immunity and intimidate support is always nice so last member was lando.

This is a pretty fun team, not the most generally effective but it takes advantage of a few obscure sets to gain the upper hand, which is very much my playstyle. Built this with Nido-Rus around HP Ice Celesteela, with Zygarde being the main beneficiary of its support. AV Koko aids setup and beats bulky Water-types, Zard was the only mega that really made sense because Ferrothorn was annoying and Kang/Gengar/Metagross didn't really fit. Wanted to make it semiroom because Hoopa is amazing and WG Aegis is frustrating, then Buzzwole provided a secondary answer to Lando/Zygarde/Kang while also nailing Fini/Lele/Bulu.

In testing, Lando especially was still super frustrating to WG > HP Ice is probably a good call. Spread does something fancy probably but it's also a little outdated. Zygarde outspeeds 130s and its Subs live Timid Zard Heat Wave with a dump in Atk and Mago > Lefties because it's easy enough to activate. Koko outspeeds Skymin and survives two Mence Double Edges and Heatran Inferno Overdrive (from Heat Wave), while dumping in SpA. Zard survives Jolly Lando-T Rock Slide and something on the special side, not sure what. Roost to take advantage of people trying to stall out TR. Hoopa is standard, Buzzwole has Fightinium to avoid dropping Atk, 3 Spe IV to have Protects broken by Hoopa in TR, enough HP to avoid 2HKO from Seismic Toss, and either an Atk or SpD benchmark I don't remember.

SableyeMyBae wins this round :)

This week, we're building around Ninetales-A! Ninetales-A has grown use as a supporter of sorts, using its coverage and assorted support moves, most notably Aurora Veil, to help out teammates. In particular, Ninetales is often used to back up set-up sweepers such as Dragon Dance Zygarde as the utility of weakening opposing blows gives them more room to safely boost. Still, Ninetales-A is pretty much beat by opposing Steel- and Fire-types such as Heatran and Mega Metagross. It also has to watch out for opposing weather setters; without Hail, it can't set Aurora Veil, limiting its usefulness immensely.

Deadline of building on Sunday GMT noon!

On another note, I'll try to get this back to regular times asap

Ninetails-A is a very fun mon to build around at the moment as it can provide many different kinds of offensive pressure and support. I went for a LO encore set because I found it helped to allow my win conditions and tailwind support to set up, even in the face of what otherwise would be threats. The best way to take care of all those pesky 4x ice resists in the current meta is to make sure they can't switch out to their resists, which is where Mega Gengar comes in. I went for a taunt set because is a good way to stop TR from going up. Zygarde provides a Heatran / Steel type counter with the added bonus of benefiting from Gengar's ability to trap mons that don't threaten it so it is free to set up once or twice. FiniZap is an easy choice here for removing opposing terrains, getting consistent tailwind support, and adding a second Celeteela / Heatran answer. Tyranitar is a good psychic spam switchin / another Hoopa check and TR check. I went for unnerve on Ttar over sandstorm as it can actually be incredibly helpful in a meta where many bulky mons run 50% pinch berries for instant recovery, and I didn't feel like I really needed or wanted sand considering I have tails on the squad.

This is a fun team I made a while ago built around a core of Mega Gengar and Alolan Ninetails. The two have fairly decent synergy with Encore + Disable being able to shut down slower builds and Aurora Veil + Shadow Tag to facilitate Zygarde and Tapu Fini setting up to sweep. I added Tapu Fini just cause it's so damn effective and accomplishes so much in one slot, then Zapdos for reliable speed control and since it partners well with Ninetail's Aurora Veil and Tapu Fini. I wanted a Ground-type to check shit like Koko and Steels, so I added Zygarde. Finally I added Heatran cause I lacked a Steel-type but also wanted another check to opposing Steels.

As for sets, they're all super self explanatory. Focus Blast is cute on Gengar to KO Kyurem-B and Tyranitar, who are otherwise pretty threatening. Scald on Fini is just cause I hate missing, you can run Muddy Water if you prefer. The Fini spread hits a Hail damage reducing HP number, OHKOs Landorus-T with Scald at +1, outspeeds something under Tailwind (Scarf Landorus or Deo, I don't remember), and the rest of the EVs are dumped in Defense. I have no clue what Zapdos' EVs do lol.

With Kangaskhan gone I think this team could be fairly effective. Even with Gengar the team still struggled versus it because it could just ignore Gengar and SToss my other mons. In terms of matchups, the team literally gets 6-0ed by Kyurem-B, but it's not super popular or anything so it's w/e. TR is also a bit of a shaky match up but not unbeatable by any means.

Enjoy!

I think Ninetales-A is one of the most interesting and well-designed Pokemon we've ever released - not only is it a vehicle for the concept of "dual screens in one turn," but it takes that and becomes a very disruptive support Pokemon.

I built this team soon after the release of Beedrillite. I had previously built a team with Pheromosa + Ninetales-A, and thought the concept could just as easily apply to Beedrill: take a hyper offensive Pokemon and make it take a hit. I took a page from checkmater's book on adding Zygarde; AlolaZyg seemed like a very strong duo, with Ninetales able to easily enable Zygarde to set up and sweep while also threatening both Lando-T and Mega Mence. The rest of the team kind of fell into place (I'm a sucker for Bulu and like strong Water resists). Taunt Heatran is my TR check -_- the team basically functions as bulky offensive, with the "bulky" elements turned up to 11 with Aurora Veil, and Ninetales enabling things to stick around easily. Beedrill itself isn't the most useful Pokemon, but it's absurdly powerful and really fast, and is a huge boon against the common Fairy types of the meta. U-turn hurts too like holy fuck.

Started off with Ninetales and Zygarde because I realized those two work really well. Light clay makes aurora veil last forever which is always great. Modest since nothing is really in the speed tier except for sect which is scarfed anyways, and terrakion, which I haven't had too much trouble with.

As for Zygarde, standard set/spread with speed to speed creep opposing zygardes. Since I'm running lele, I made my 4th move glare to serve as extra speed control.

Also put Milotic on to second guess those intimidate swappers that try to remove Zygarde boosts. Psychic seed works really great here.

My MAIN speed control was your standard Psychic seed Zapdos with enough speed to outspeed opposing scarf sects under TW. Gave it heat wave over HP ice since I already had 3 other ice coverage on the team, and needed a way to deal with ferrothorn/sect.

Now I used Fightinium Lele that Test Bots invented, replacing Moonblast with Taunt. I figured that any dragon would die to the ice coverage all over this team, and Kyurem/dark types can be taken care of with All-out pummeling anyways. Despite Kang out of the picture, this thing still hits unsuspecting Heatrans, ferrothorns, ttars like a beast. I've been saved by it so many times. Taunt is there as my TR/TW check, this also coming in handy multiple times

At this point, I was lacking my mega and a steel type, and with lele, why not use Megagross? So I placed it on there, with a pretty standard spread and moveset.

Offensive hail
Starring: Ninetail-Aloha, Kyurem-Black and Mega-Gengar

Introduction
This team is build around the Ninetales-A and Kyurem-B blizzard spam core. Ninetales-A sets up hail to wither down bulky pokemon and rain with dry-freeze and support the rest of the team with aurora vail while kyurem-B beats Charizard-Y, Bulky waters types, steel types with are all threatening blizzard spam. Mega-Gengar traps the opposing team to win the weather war against other weather and pressure the opponent. Fini is a good veil abuser and helps dealing with rain and the other tapu's. Heatran was added for a better sun and psychic spam matchup while it also gives a strong steel counter. A bulky set was used because heatran is already takes care of by kyurem-B and the extra bulk help it to beat its checks more reliable. Last stop i originally used landorus-T but i didn't really need a ground resist with 3 ground checks and without other levitating pokemon on my team so earthquake often cost me momentum (special set is undesirable because of the little physical attackers i have). This considered i went and used zygarde instead. This gave me a nice rock resist, priority and a nice wincon.

Sets
Ninetails-A outspeeds and neutral max invested Ludicolo in rain, moonblast was added to be able to punish tyranitar on switch and dry-freeze for rain and other waters. kyurem outspeeds timid heatran and max spa for better blizzard damage and the rest in atk, i i chose mild nature because of the special nature of the meta.Gengar spread form spread compendium. Snatch main is preventing wide guard and tailwind. It als helps against most forms of set up and prevents the opponent form healing; all increasing the pressure gengar gives while on the field. Fini is a little more bulky variant of the one used in the common zapdos + fini core. The speed is placed in bulk because the lack of tailwind support. Heatran lives lo earthquake excadrill earthquake. Flamethrower because i already have 4 spread move users and the accuracy and damage increase are nice. taunt is mainly used for trick room but can. Zygarde is basic spread, outspeeds 130 base speed users after boost. Most HP stats are made uneven to lower the hail damage a little.

How to use
Trap and beat weather (setter or user). Or if the opponent uses no weather set up hail/Aurora veil. Or just beat opposing threats and checks to Hail, fini or zygarde such as landorus-T, heatran or trick room.Than proceed to set zygarde or fini with the help of Mega-Gengar or Aurora veil. Then sweep with zygarde/Fini or blizzard spam. Clean the rest of the team with mega-Gengar/Kyurem/Ninetales-A or even Zygarde. I also like to mention there are only two cores which don't hit all the viable pokemon in DOU with STAB or super effective damage, making it nearly impossible to consistently tank hits (heatran + Zygarde don't hit araquanid and Heatran + Ninetails don't hit rotom-H).
