Meloetta [Psychic]

Psychic
========

* Meloetta plays a large role being a Wallbreaker for Hyper Offensive and Balanced Psychic-type teams. It’s Psychic/Normal typing allows it to be immune to all Ghost-type attacks, and it lets it break down Ghost-types and other walls easily without taking very much damage or introducing new weaknesses.
* Its amazing Special Attack stat and versatile movepool enables it to cover all kinds of types, especially with STAB moves.
* Meloetta plays a very pivotal role in key match-ups against Ghost-types like Gengar and it 2HKO's Mega Sableye. Doing that sets up the rest of the team for success.
* In addition to Meloetta's wallbreaking ability, it learns Trick which lets it cripple walls even easier.
* Meloetta’s adequate HP and excellent Special Defense stats let it be a switch-in against some Special Attacks since Psychic-type teams sometimes have trouble switching in.
* Its adequate Speed stat allows it to outspeed many physical attackers that could pose a threat to it.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
* Psychic is a very strong STAB move that allows it to hit defensive Pokemon.
* Psyshock is also STAB but slightly weaker and allows Meloetta to hit specially defensive tanks like Lanturn and Mantine.
* Focus Blast hits Dark-types and Steel-types such as Tyranitar and Ferrothorn but is not reliable and could miss allowing the opponent to hit Meloetta or set up on it.
* Shadow Ball checks Ghost-types such as Gengar and Gourgeist. It also OHKO's Alolan Marowak and provides coverage for opposing Psychic-types, like Jirachi.
* Dazzling Gleam allows Meloetta to break through Dark-types like Mandibuzz and, most importantly, Mega Sableye, while also hitting Dragon-types like Garchomp and Dragonite super-effectively.
* U-Turn is helpful because it allows Meloetta to avoid Alolan Muk when it is switching in.
* Trick can help Meloetta cripple walls like Chansey and Alolan Muk.
* Hyper Voice is another option and spammable STAB attack that does huge amounts of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Hyper Voice is the most reliable move for hitting Alolan Muk and it also bypasses Substitute.

Set Details
========
* Choice Specs increases and expands off of Special Attack stat and coverage, while it is only locked into one move. Meloetta is able to wallbreak a lot better since it will have a boost in Special Attack, allowing it to break Defensive walls easier.
* Serene Grace helps Meloetta wallbreak since there's a larger chance of Special Defense drops on the opponent from moves like Psychic or Shadow Ball.
* Investments in HP let Meloetta have more bulk while not affecting too much of the other spread.
* Investments in maximum special attack allow Meloetta to give the most damage as possible.
* A 184 speed investment allows Meloetta to outspeed Mamoswine and Gyarados.
* Giving Meloetta a Timid nature will allow it to outspeed more base 80 speed Pokemon like Buzzwole.

Usage Tips
========
* Meloetta is the wincon against Ghost and should be kept alive and preserved.
* It is usually a good switch-in against Ghost-types, and sometimes could even be a lead against Ghost. Most of the time it's just Shadow Ball spam against Ghost-types since it can just KO something defensive like Gourgeist.
* Meloetta can freely switch into weak, bulky Pokemon like Toxapex because of its great natural bulk, which opens up more opportunities for it to wallbreak.
* It will usually not make it late game, but utilizing Jirachi or Latias to pass a Healing Wish on to it increase Meloetta's longevity in game.
* Meloetta should be switched out if the opponent sends in a strong physical attacker like Landorus-T or Terrakion since it lacks defensive bulk.
* Utilize U-turn on another Pokemon on your team such as Victini to pivot Meloetta in and bluff a Choice Scarf to force Greninja and other Dark-types out.
* Click Trick in the situation when you are put against a Special Defensive Wall like Chansey or Alolan-Muk since Meloetta will cripple them as they switch in making it harder for them to wall Meloetta later.
* U-Turn can help Meloetta pivot out when Alolan Muk or another Dark-type wall is being switched in.

Team Options
========
* Mega Slowbro is a good option to work with Meloetta. Mega Slowbro is extremely defensive and can several of the physical attacks that Meloetta has trouble with. But Meloetta also helps Mega Slowbro by taking out all special attackers since Mega Slowbro can't really tank special attacks. Meloetta KO's Ghost-type threats to Mega Slowbro, like Gourgeist.
* Mega Medicham plays a key role against some match-ups. It hits Dark-types really hard with its STAB, Pure Power boosted High Jump Kicks, but cannot hit Sableye Meloetta will take care of those and clear the path for Mega Medicham to wreak havoc against dark. It beats special walls that Meloetta struggles with, like Alolan Muk and Tyranitar. Mega Medicham also hits Steel-types extremely hard with its STAB High Jump Kicks.
* Victini is a strong physical attacker and revenge killer, but it can pivot Meloetta by U-turning out and putting Meloetta in so it can take out any Pokemon that pose a threat to it like Seismitoad or Kingdra. Victini can also check Bug-type Pokemon.
* Jirachi is great for speed control and spreading paralysis while setting Stealth Rocks. Jirachi helps slow Pokemon that outspeed Meloetta like Volcarona.
* Jirachi can also pass on a Healing Wish to Meloetta if it is severely damaged, which will completely heal it and lets Meloetta stay alive towards the end-game stage.
* Mew is another great option for a teammate because it can burn any special attackers that are threats to Meloetta. Mew also has great bulk on both sides so it can tank a few hits to then get a burn off. Meloetta beats most Ghost-type special attackers that could possibly pose a threat to Mew so then it can Burn any Physical attackers.
* Mew also provides safe item removal since it learns Knock Off for Fire types since they can't be burned, so then Meloetta goes in and cleans up.

evs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
* Psychic and Psyshock are Meloetta's primary STAB moves hitting the opponents defensive and special defensive sides respectively.
* Focus Blast hits Steel- and Dark-types such as Weavile and Heatran easily but is not as reliable as other moves.
* Shadow Ball hits Ghost-types easily such as Gengar, Gourgeist and Doublade.
* Dazzling Gleam will force out Mega Sableye and hit Dragon-types super effectively.
* Hyper Voice could be used for extra neutral STAB to anything that does not resist it.
* U-Turn is important because it allows Meloetta to pivot out when Alolan Muk is being switched in.

Set Details
========
* AV allows Meloetta to capitalize on its great Special Defense, allowing it to switch into special attacks more easily. Giving Meloetta an Assault Vest makes it a great blanket switch in to Special Attacks.
* Investments in HP let Meloetta tank more hits from attackers.
* Investing 184 speed allows Meloetta to outspeed Gyarados and other base 80 speed Pokemon.
* Investing maximum Special Attack lets it hit as hard as possible.
* Meloetta's nature should be Timid since your Speed will be boosted even more allowing you to outspeed Buzzwole and Mamoswine.

Usage Tips
========
* With an Assault Vest it is a good switch in to special attackers a Special Attack that is neutral or super effective but unboosted, like a Scald from Manaphy or a Thunderbolt from Thundurus. It can also take a Dark Pulse from a Hydreigon.
* Meloetta is a great switch in to Ghosts and should be kept alive since it is the wincon against Ghost-types like Gengar or Doublade.
* Mega Sableye and its great bulk won't really hurt you since you have an Assault Vest, so feel free to click Dazzling Gleam.

Team Options
========
* Deoxys-S is a fast and good hazard setter and a suicide lead that will lessen the damage Meloetta has to do since the opposing Pokemon will take entry damage.
* Mega Medicham helps with balanced Poison teams that Meloetta cannot handle. It OHKO's Alolan Muk with STAB, Pure Power boosted High Jump Kick and finishes off the rest of a Poison team with a STAB Zen Headbutt or Psycho Cut. Once Alolan Muk has been KO'd, the path is cleared for Meloetta.
* Jirachi provides nice speed control for fast Dark- and Bug-types like Greninja and Volcarona, with it learning Thunder Wave, and also has a great chance to flinch the opponent with Iron Head, relieving pressure for Meloetta to do a lot of work.
* Jirachi is also a great hazard setter and has better longevity.
* Slowbro provides great Defensive bulk that Meloetta lacks. Slowbro can tank Physical attacks that Meloetta cannot. It also helps check Mimikyu along with Meloetta checking Ghost-type special attackers like Chandelure that pose a threat to Slowbro.
* Victini is a great revenge killer and can rid of pesky Steel- and Bug- types like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor and Volcarona.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
* An option for a set could be Substitute + Calm Mind, and if it is set up enough, Meloetta could sweep all kinds of teams with Psychic or Shadow Ball and won't recieve much damage in return. The cost of this set though is that Meloetta loses 2 important coverage moves.
* An extra option for a move is Energy Ball for Meloetta, but it is not recommended because it will be replacing a move with more coverage.
* Thunderbolt could also be used but it again doesn't check Dragon threats like Dragonite or Salamence like Dazzling Gleam does. Thunderbolt does hit Gyarados and Mandibuzz reliably though.

Checks and Counters
===================

Psychic
--------
**Alolan-Muk**: This counters Meloetta by forcing it out due to its amazing Special Defense stat, but Alolan-Muk also gets Pursuit, so Meloetta gets trapped and can't do much at all. One way to handle this is to click Trick before Alolan Muk can do anything so it is locked into one move if you pass it a Choice item. While Meloetta can cripple Alolan Muk with Trick, it will still need to take a Pursuit. Meloetta can also avoid Alolan Muk if it uses U-Turn as it switches in.

**Dark-types**: Since Meloetta cannot hit them with its reliable STAB Psychic-type moves, Meloetta has to rely on Dazzling Gleam to force out Mega Sableye, and Focus Blast to take on other Dark-types like Tyranitar.

**Physical Attackers**: Meloetta really doesn't have much in the Defensive area, so Physical Attackers will be a large threat. An Earthquake from Excadrill or HJK from Mega Medicham will OHKO Meloetta. Usually if a Physical Attacker is brought in, Meloetta will be forced out.

**Knock-Offers**: They will Knock Off Meloetta's Assault Vest and make it more vulnerable to Special Attacks if Knock Off doesn't KO.

**Special Defensive Walls**: Meloetta can hit some of these like Celesteela or Chansey without getting KO'd, but it will take a while to KO them without being stalled out. Choice Specs Meloetta is relatively harder to wall since it can cripple walls with Trick.

Meloetta [Psychic]

Psychic
========

* Meloetta plays a large role being a Wallbreaker for Hyper Offensive and Balanced Psychic-type teams. It’s Psychic/Normal typing allows it to be immune to all ghost attacks, and it lets it hit ghosts very hard without taking very much damage or introducing new weaknesses. Its typing isnt relevant to it hitting ghosts. Thats all shadow ball.
* Meloetta plays a very pivotal role in key match-ups like Ghost and Dark and can take out pesky threats like Mandibuzz, Gengar and Mega Sableye. Doing that sets up the rest of the team for success. Meloetta isn't useful vs dark, it just gets pursuit trapped an deliminated and/or just gets OHKOed.
* Meloetta's ability allows to wallbreak even further since Shadow Ball and Psychic have a doubled chance to drop the opponents Pokemon's Special Defense. Not that relevant, cut or at least lower.
* Its amazing Special Attack stat and versatile movepool enables it to cover all kinds of types, especially with STAB moves. Meloetta’s adequate HP and Special Defense stats let it take a hit or two from several tough special attackers like Greninja and Landorus-I.
* Its great Speed stat allows it to outspeed many physical attackers that could pose a threat to it. 90 isnt actually very good.
* Since Meloetta really has no reliable way of recovery and is very prone to physical attacks, it usually does not make it into the late game stage, which makes it a really good early game sweeper and forces a lot of other strong special attackers out or even KO’s them. No? Meloetta is not in any way a sweeper.

move 2: Focus Bast
move 3: Shadow Ball

ability: Serene Grace
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD fix like so.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
* Psychic is a very strong STAB move that allows it to hit defensive Pokemon while Psyshock is also STAB but slightly weaker and allows Meloetta to hit specially defensive Pokemon. Give examples, and give each their own bullet.
* Hyper Voice is a spammable attack that does huge amounts of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Hyper Voice may be neutral, but it OHKO's a lot of weather setters like Hippowdon and Pelipper. A) it doesn't OHKO, B, hypervoice is being oversold here. It really should be in moves instead of straight on theset.
* Shadow Ball checks almost all Ghost-types except for Mega Sableye, but it will still 2HKO it since you have put Specs on Meloetta no, 252 SpA Choice Specs Meloetta Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Sableye-Mega: 114-135 (37.6 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO, and will make KO'ing it even easier if there happens to be a SpD drop.
* Dazzling Gleam is there over Focus Blast because it is more reliable and can check 2 types over 1 since it hits Dark- and Dragon-types, 2 major threats to Meloetta. It hits tough Dragon-types like Garchomp extremely hard with specs but still won't KO or even 2HKO bulkier Dark-types such as Umbreon. Dazzling Gleam will also force Mega Sableye out if it doesn't KO it.
* Choosing Focus Blast over Dazzling Gleam also allows you to hit Defensive Steel-types like Ferrothorn, but is not reliable since it could miss and the opponent could possibly set up. Focus blast is also, you know, powerful. It actually damages dark types and pursuit trappers like Tyranitar.
*
Rearrange these to match new set order.

Set Details
========
* Choice Specs is a great choice for an item because it expands off of Meloetta's excellent Special Attack and coverage, but sadly locks you into a certain move. Being locked into a certain move can also be a good thing because it can initiate a sweep if Meloetta is tanking hits and OHKOing a lot of Pokemon. Cut everything after special attack and talk about how it lets meloetta wallbreak.
* Serene Grace is Meloetta's only ability but it helps it wallbreak with Special Defense drops. Since Serene Grace doubles the chance for moves that have second effects to activate, getting a SpD drop on your opponent after using Psychic or Shadow Ball will always be in your favor.
* Investing max special attack allows Meloetta to hit as hard as it can before the Choice Specs boost, but you also need to invest max speed so you can outspeed any base 80 speed Pokemon examples?. also max sped melo is still slower than base 80 unless its timid
* Meloetta's nature can be Modest if you want a little SpAtk boost, but you have specs, so a secondary option could be Timid since it will have more speed and be able to outspeed more. Give examples of what timid outspeeds.

Usage Tips
========
* Meloetta will usually be a really good switch-in against a good amount of Ghost-types, and sometimes could even be a lead against Ghost. Most of the time it's just Shadow Ball spam against Ghost-types since it can just KO something defensive like Gourgeist.
* Also, bring Meloetta in on Pokémon that usually carry scouting moves, like Ferrothorn, in order to get a free switch-in.
* Most of the time, Meloetta will not make it late game, but if you utilize Jirachi or Latias on your team to pass a Healing Wish on to it, it can survive until then.
* It can be switched out usually if the opponent sends in a strong physical attacker, since Meloetta lacks defensive bulk, unless you can outspeed and ensure a kill. This is pretty much useless as a bullet, elaborate
* Never use Psychic/Psyshock against Poison teams unless Alolan-Muk is fainted since it is immune to Psychic-type attacks and poses a large threat to Meloetta with its great Special Defensive bulk. Realistically Meloetta should be double switchin g on shadow ball after forcing out gengar. No need to include this since the other attacks dont beat muk and Melo shouldnt be using them
* You can utilize U-turn on another Pokemon on your team such as Victini to pivot Meloetta in and bluff a scarf to force Greninja out or, if you're against the uncommon Trick Room Ghost, it can force Cofagrigus out too.
* Meloetta should be kept alive especially if you are against Ghost so you don't have to worry about a Choiced Gengar sweeping your team with Shadow Ball. It's also your wincon vs ghost,and should be preserved; emphasise this.
* Mention when to click trick

Team Options
========
* Mega Slowbro is an extremely good option to work with Meloetta. Mega Slowbro is extremely defensive and can tank all of the physical attacks Meloetta cannot. But Meloetta also helps Mega Slowbro by taking out all special attackers since Mega Slowbro can't really tank special attacks. Meloetta OHKO's Electric-type threats to Mega Slowbro, like Tapu Koko for example.Put regular slowbro here, Medicham is just too good to pass up on psychic rn and pairs well with meloetta anyway.
* If Mega Slowbro is not wanted, Mega Medicham is a key role against some match-ups. It hits Dark-types really hard with its STAB, Pure Power boosted High Jump Kicks, but cannot hit Sableye at all because of its typing and Mandibuzz because it is very defensive. Meloetta will take care of those and clear the path for Mega Medicham to wreak havoc against dark. Mega Medicham also hits Steel-types extremely hard with its STAB High Jump Kicks. Medicham's main support is breaking the balance teams, like poison, that Melo struggles with and beating pursuit trappers. Dark types will just go mega sableye unless its chipped, while Meloetta also struggles with sableye. Dark is basically unwinnable for psychic anyway.
* Victini is a strong physical attacker and revenge killer, but it can pivot Meloetta by U-turning out and putting Meloetta in so it can take out any Pokemon that pose a threat to it like Seismitoad or Kingdra. Victini also helps with taking out Bug-type Pokemon, since they pose a large threat to Meloetta. Victini can also OHKO Bug-type sweepers that are threats with V-Create like Volcarona and Moxie Heracross.
* Jirachi is great for speed control and setting hazards. Most people will lead with Mega-Sableye if you are going to lead with Jirachi, so it could be good bait for it. You can pivot Jirachi out and Meloetta in since Jirachi gets U-turn, then Meloetta could go for the KO on Mega Sableye. this point is vague and confusing.
Meloetta will eliminate any Ghost-type special attackers that could possibly pose a threat to Mew so then it can Burn any Physical attackers.
* Mew also provides safe item removal since it learns Knock Off for Fire types since they can't be burned, so then Meloetta goes in and cleans up. This gen mew runs mewnium z almost all the time, since stallbreaker is mediocre and rocks are done better by deoxys-s
* Latios can be used on Hyper Offense Psychic-type teams to hit Dragon-types like Dragonite that pose a large threat much better then Meloetta can. In return, Meloetta can hit Ghost-types that Latios has trouble hitting. Latio hits ghost types just fine lol.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Psychic
--------
* An Assault Vest protects Meloetta even more from Special Attacks, but doesn't give you an increase in Special Attack, which is very costly since you won't hit as hard. The Assault Vest also allows Meloetta to be a good switch-in on special attacks though. Giving Meloetta an Assault Vest makes Psychic-type teams more versatile since a lot of Pokemon might already have Choiced items on the team and Psychic-types usually have a tough time switching into things. Give this a full set.
* Utilizing Trick can help you cripple walls easier by sending a Choice item over to the opponent's side but it is not very common. The other moves would be the same but you would switch out Hyper Voice for Trick.
* Choice Scarf set. If Medicham gets the boot, put this in a full set, but untill then it still at the very least needs a mention here

Checks and Counters I don't even really know what to say here, the entire section is just really lacking. Fill it in more, a lot, at the very least.
===================
Psychic
--------
**Alolan-Muk**: This counters Meloetta by forcing it out due to its amazing Special Defense stat, but Alolan-Muk also gets Pursuit, so Meloetta gets trapped and can't do much at all.

**Tyranitar**: Another Pursuit trapper, makes it hard for Meloetta to hurt this. Focus Blast won't usually OHKO it if you're against an Assault Vest Tyranitar. If you're against a Choiced Tyranitar though, you are in luck since Focus Blast will usually KO, but also is unreliable and could miss leading to Meloetta getting KO'd by Crunch.

**Special Defensive Walls**: Meloetta can hit some of these like Celesteela or Chansey without getting KO'd, but it will take a while to KO them without being stalled out. You can switch to a Revenge Killer like Victini since you won't be threatened by Pursuit.

**Buzzwole and Heracross**: Since both of them are usually Scarfed Scarf buzzwole lol pfff, their STAB Bug-type attacks will hit Meloetta very hard, leaving it no room to outspeed. Your best bet here is to switch to something that will live a STAB Bug-type move and go for a Revenge Kill. there's no where heracross hgets its own section, it cant switch in and doesnt sweep psychic - not to mention that it also falls better into a higher threat level. Cut this, or expand to super effective attacks and move it above physical attacker / psyical attacker s below it

Thanks for the great tips Quantum Tesseract, implemented the majority of it but didn't remove all you said to cut, just reworded some. Also, I didn't understand what you meant by in the "Team Options" area to explain why to keep Meloetta.
The explain to keep meloetta was because I was typing on a tiny mobile screen and didn't realize I was typing there instead of in usage tips. Just ignore it, I'll edit it out.

Meloetta [Psychic]

Psychic
========

No need to mention specific Psychic playstyles.
* Its amazing Special Attack stat and versatile movepool enables it to cover all kinds of types, especially with STAB moves.
* Meloetta plays a very pivotal role in key match-ups against Ghost- and Dark-type walls and can take out pesky threats like Mandibuzz, Jellicent and Mega Sableye. Doing that sets up the rest of the team for success.
It doesn't do well against all Dark-type walls, but having the ability to 2HKO Mega Sableye is important. Say something like "...against Ghost-types like Mega Sableye and Gengar"
* Meloetta's ability allows to wallbreak even further since Shadow Ball and Psychic have a better chance to drop the opponents Pokemon's Special Defense.
This info is better left for the Moves section and doesn't really reflect Meloetta's role in Psychic/the metagame, so doesn't fit in the overview.

Moves
========
No need to mention this aspect of Focus Blast, it is extra information that doesn't fit here.
* Shadow Ball checks Ghost-types such as Gengar and Gourgeist.
Gourgeist is not relevant in the current Monotype metagame, and Gengar is hit by Psychic / Psyshock. Instead, mention that it OHKOes Alolan Marowak and provides coverage for opposing Psychic-types like Jirachi.
* Dazzling Gleam allows Meloetta hit to Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Kommo-o, while also hitting Mega Sableye for super effective damage.
Hitting Dragon-types is an afterthought, and Kommo-O (and most other Dragons) are already hit hard enough by Meloetta's Psychic STAB. Reword this, focusing on how it helps break through Mega Sableye and other Dark-types like Mandibuzz. Something like "Dazzling Gleam allows Meloetta to break through Dark-types like Mandibuzz and, most importantly, Mega Sableye, while also hitting Dragon-types super-effectively."* Add in U-Turn; this allows Meloetta to act as a useful pivot and allows it to avoid Alolan Muk as it switches in.
* Trick can help Meloetta cripple walls like Chansey, Alolan Muk and Toxapex.
Remove Toxapex; Toxapex would not stay in on Meloetta, Meloetta would not want to accidentally nab its Black Sludge, and it would rather just KO with Psychic than lose its item.
* Hyper Voice is another option and spammable STAB attack that does huge amounts of damage to anything that doesn't resist it.
Add that this is Meloetta's best move for Alolan Muk and has the added benefit of bypassing Substitute.

Set Details
========
* Investments in maximum special attack allow Meloetta to give the most damage as possible.
* A maximum Speed investment should also be made and the Timid nature if wanted, so you can outspeed any non scarfed base 80 speed Pokemon.
Worded awkwardly; I changed the EV spread, so please reflect that (Timid is the only nature). The given EV spread outspeeds Gyarados, Adamant Excadrill, Buzzwole, and Mamoswine
* Meloetta's nature can be Modest if you want a little extra Special Attack, but a secondary option could be Timid since it will have more speed and be able to outspeed more.
Timid is the main option. I will get back to you on whether Modest is worth putting in or not

Usage Tips
========
* Meloetta is the wincon against Ghost and should be kept alive and preserved so Psychic-type teams don't have to worry about a Choiced Gengar sweeping your team with Shadow Ball.
The latter part of this statement is extra and too specific. Just say that it is important to keep Meloetta around to check Ghost-types as needed (don't refer specifically to Ghost Monotypes).
* Meloetta is usually a good switch-in against Ghost-types, and sometimes could even be a lead against Ghost. Most of the time it's just Shadow Ball spam against Ghost-types since it can just KO something defensive like Gourgeist.
* Also, bring Meloetta in on Pokémon that usually carry scouting moves, like Ferrothorn or Toxapex, in order to get a free switch-in.
This should be reworded to get your point across more clearly. You could also briefly mention Meloetta's great bulk, which allows it to freely switch into bulky Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Toxapex. So, something like "Meloetta can freely switch into weak, bulky Pokemon like Toxapex because of its great natural bulk, which opens up more opportunities for it to wallbreak."
* Meloetta will usually not make it late game, but utilizing Jirachi or Latias to pass a Healing Wish on to it increase Meloetta's longevity in game.
This is more suited for the Team Options section.
* Click Trick in the situation when you are put against a Special Defensive Wall like Chansey or Alolan-Muk since Meloetta will pass them a Choice item and lock them into a move, making it harder for them to use their recovery.
As a small nitpick, say that it cripples them "as they switch in" and make it harder for them to wall Meloetta later on in the match.
* Added U-turn to the set, please talk about how to use it, etc.

Team Options
========
* Mega Slowbro is a good option to work with Meloetta. Mega Slowbro is extremely defensive and can tank all of the physical attacks Meloetta cannot. I get what you are saying, but this is an exaggeration. Reword. But Meloetta also helps Mega Slowbro by taking out all special attackers since Mega Slowbro can't really tank special attacks. Meloetta KO's Electric-type threats to Mega Slowbro, like Tapu Koko for example.
This Meloetta variant is much less equipped to deal with special attackers than the AV set; Tapu Koko 2HKOes with Thunderbolt for example. Instead, focus on its ability to check Ghost-types.
* If Mega Slowbro is not wanted, No need to say this. Mega Medicham plays a key role against some match-ups. It hits Dark-types really hard with its STAB, Pure Power boosted High Jump Kicks, but cannot hit Sableye at all because of its typing and Mandibuzz because it is very defensive. Mega Medicham can beat Mandibuzz. Meloetta will take care of those and clear the path for Mega Medicham to wreak havoc against dark. Mega Medicham will also clear the path of Pursuit Trappers like Alolan Muk and Tyranitar. A little too specific; just say that it beats special walls that Meloetta struggles with, like Alolan Muk. Mega Medicham also hits Steel-types extremely hard with its STAB High Jump Kicks.
Please condense what you are trying to say here. Just talk about how Mega Medicham and Meloetta can remove each other's counters in a sentence or two.
Just say that Meloetta complements Victini by dealing with physically defensive Pokemon and can be easily brought in through U-Turn. Seismitoad and Kingdra aren't particularly notable examples either.
These last two sentences can be condensed into just "Victini can check Bug-type Pokemon".

* Jirachi is great for speed control say "spreading paralysis" and how that helps Meloetta out and setting hazards. say Stealth Rock Most people will lead with Mega-Sableye if they know your lead will be Jirachi, so it could be good bait for it. You can pivot Jirachi out and Meloetta in since Jirachi gets U-turn, then Meloetta could go for the KO on Mega Sableye. Don't go into detail about this; it is just too specific and extra information not needed. Making the analysis as concise as possible is important
Meloetta will eliminate anybeats most Ghost-type special attackers that could possibly pose a threat to Mew so then it can Burn any Physical attackers.
* Mew also provides safe item removal since it learns Knock Off for Fire types since they can't be burned, so then Meloetta goes in and cleans up. This is not worth mentioning; Knock Off support isn't really notable.
* Latios can be used on Hyper Offense Psychic-type teams to hit Dragon-types like Dragonite that pose a large threat much better then Meloetta can. Latios doesn't only fit on Hyper Offense, and I wouldn't say that it is a particularly notable teammate for Meloetta. Remove Latios.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
* Psychic and Psyshock are Meloetta's primary STAB moves hitting the opponents defensive and special defensive sides respectively.
* Focus Blast hits Steel- and Dark-types easily but is not as reliable as other moves.
Name a few examples of what this hits.
* Shadow Ball hits Ghost-types easily such as Gengar, Gourgeist and Jellicent.
Gengar and Gourgeist should be removed. Add that it hits other Psychic-types too, as well as Doublade.
* Dazzling Gleam will hit Dragon-types like Garchomp and forces Mega Sableye out.
Like in the CS set, word this statement to show that Mega Sableye is the main target, and hitting Dragon-types is more of an afterthought.
* Hyper Voice could be used for extra neutral STAB to anything that does not resist it.
* Add U-Turn, pivoting is especially important for this set. I'd argue that it could be put over Dazzling Gleam because this set has a harder time breaking Mega Sableye due to lower power, but wait to see what other QC say.
Hyper Voice isn't as useful on Assault Vest since it has less wallbreaker capability. DG for Mega Sableye and U-Turn to help use the bulk to pivot in and out well is more important. Remove HVoice

Set Details
========
* An Assault Vest protects Meloetta from Special Attacks. The Assault Vest also allows Meloetta to be a good switch-in on special attacks. These two sentences can be merged. Just say something like "AV allows Meloetta to capitalize on its great Special Defense, allowing it to switch into special attacks more easily. Giving Meloetta it makes Psychic-type teams more versatile since a lot of Pokemon might already have Choice items on the team and extra info, and isn't always the case nor something to consider when reading this analysis Psychic-types usually have a tough time switching into Special Attacks. Add that Meloetta is a great blanket check for special attackers
* Investments in maximum Special Defense make Meloetta an easy switch-in to special attacks.
EV spread was adjusted
* Investing maximum Special Attack lets it hit as hard as possible.
* For the Nature, Modest is a generic option which boosts your Special Attack a little to increase Meloetta's damage output, but a Calm nature is better since it will add to Meloetta having more Special Defense, and will not decrease any other important stat.
Timid is far better than Calm and Modest for reasons that i've explained already.

Usage Tips
========
* Now that Meloetta has a large boost in Special Defense, Better said as "With an Assault Vest..." it is a good switch in to special attackers a Special Attack that is neutral or super effective but unboosted, like a Scald from Manaphy or a Thunderbolt from Thundurus.
Use examples that show how bulky AV Meloetta is, that CS Meloetta couldn't take as easily.
* Meloetta is a great switch in to Ghosts and should be kept alive since it is the wincon against Choiced Ghost-types like Gengar or Chandelure.
Mentioning "Choiced Ghost-types" is just super specific. It's a blanket check for most Ghost-types, and they don't need a choice item to be threatening either. Reword this to just mention Ghost-types in general rather than specific Choiced examples. Gengar and Doublade are your best examples, Chandelure is relatively uncommon.
* Mega Sableye and its great bulk won't really hurt you since you have an Assault Vest, so feel free to click Dazzling Gleam.
This is false; Mega Sableye can carry Knock Off or Foul Play.
* Beware of Knock-offers since they will knock off Meloetta's Assault Vest, making it more vulnerable to Special Attacks
Meloetta already is wary of Knock Off since it is super effective. This doesn't need to be pointed out.

Team Options
========
Meloetta really only struggles with Alolan Muk rather than balanced Poison teams in general. Focus on Alolan Muk and other Dark-types, and how Meloetta can do it's job more easily with them gone.
* Starmie is fast and will provide Rapid Spin since it rids of hazards on your side only and doesn't rid of your opponents like Defog does.
Starmie isn't a good teammate, simply because there are better ones out there.
* Latias is bulky and can Defog, but that rids of all hazards, including the opponents side. Extra info which is just general knowledge not worth including. Deoxys-S will be gone by then since it is a suicide lead and it won't be able to set hazards again so Latias is only slightly recommended but does provide nice Physical and Special bulk.
Latias and Deoxys-S aren't always on the same Psychic team, so you could use another hazard setter like Jirachi which has more longevity. Removing Deo-S's hazards is bad, but that's referring to a specific team build. Either reflect this or delete this part. Also mention that hazard removal helps Meloetta take on special attackers throughout the match without being worn down by hazards.
* Jirachi provides nice speed control for fast Dark- and Bug-types like Greninja and Volcarona, with it learning Thunder Wave, and also has a great chance to flinch the opponent with Iron Head, relieving pressure for Meloetta to do a lot of work.
* Victini is a great revenge killer and can rid of pesky Steel- and Bug- types like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor and Volcarona.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
* An option for a set could be Substitute + Calm Mind, and if it is set up enough, Meloetta could sweep all kinds of teams with Psychic or Shadow Ball and won't recieve much damage in return.
Mention that it forfeits two important coverage moves
* Another item that could be used is a Choice Scarf so you can outspeed many Physical attackers that pose a threat like Landorus-T.
Not worth OO
* An extra option for a move is Energy Ball for Meloetta, but it is not recommended because it will be replacing a move with more coverage.
Thunderbolt could also be used but it again doesn't check Dragon threats like Dragonite or Salamence like Dazzling Gleam does.
Thunderbolt is ok in OO, but say that it is only worth mentioning because it hits Gyarados and Mandibuzz most reliably. Remove Energy Ball though.

Checks and Counters
===================

Alolan-Muk is the absolute best counter so it deserves its own section, but merge "Tyranitar" and "Knock Off" into "Dark-types".
Psychic
--------
**Alolan-Muk**: This counters Meloetta by forcing it out due to its amazing Special Defense stat, but Alolan-Muk also gets Pursuit, so Meloetta gets trapped and can't do much at all. One way to handle this is to click Trick before Alolan Muk can do anything so it is locked into one move if you pass it a Choice item.
Note that, while Meloetta can cripple Alolan Muk with Trick, it will still need to take a Pursuit. Also add that Meloetta can attempt to avoid being trapped if it uses U-Turn as Alolan Muk switches in.

**Tyranitar**: Another Pursuit trapper, makes it hard for Meloetta to hurt this. Focus Blast won't usually OHKO it if Meloetta is against an Assault Vest Tyranitar. If you're against a Choiced Tyranitar though, Focus Blast will usually KO, but also is unreliable and could miss leading to it getting KO'd by Crunch.

Switching to a revenge killer like Victini will be safer since Special Defensive Walls don't get Pursuit and can't trap Meloetta in anyway.
Add that Choice Specs Meloetta is harder to wall and can cripple walls with Trick, but Assault Vest Meloetta is relatively weaker and easier to wall. The part with Victini is just extra unneeded information for this section, and the part with Pursuit is not relevant.

**Super Effective Attacks**: These really hurt Meloetta regardless if they're Physical or Special. An easy way to get around this is to switch to a revenge killer that can live an attack that might hurt Meloetta, but not really hurt itself, like Mew or Jirachi.While this is true, this is a bit of a no-brainer, as yu could just say this for any Pokemon. It is best to leave it out.
Changes are in bold, deletions are in red.

Many changes were needed; for the most part, you need to focus on cutting superfluous information that isn't important. I will look at this again once you've implemented my comments.

SirSkit, implemented practically everything but the EV distribution you gave for the Specs set because I have never seen it be used, and Meloetta outspeeds the Pokemon you listed just fine with a Timid nature and Max speed. Other than that, that EV spread was given to the AV set instead and all the other tips you gave were implemented. Thanks and officially QC whenever you're ready.

Edit: I was told to listen to that EV spread so I checked it out myself and it works so ignore that part of the above message plz.

Overview
- what do you mean by "cover all kinds of types"? are you referring how it can be hard to wall? Word that differently.
- Add that Meloetta has comparatively lower Defense, which is easy to exploit
- Emphasize Meloetta's useful ability to pivot
- "Meloetta’s adequate HP and excellent Special Defense stats let it be a switch-in against some Special Attacks since Psychic-type teams sometimes have trouble switching in."
This is a good point, but I wouldn't say "Psychic-type teams sometimes have trouble switching in". A bit of a nitpick, but Psychic-types aren't particularly weak to special attackers like that phrase suggests. Just say that it's a good switch-in to special attackers and pivots out well.

Moves
- There is no need to mention Focus Blast's unreliable accuracy
- Again, mentioned this earlier, but Gengar is hit by Psychic STAB already, don't mention it under Shadow Ball. Definitely add Doublade, that is a major target since Psychic typically struggles with it.
- Expand the description of U-Turn; it isn't just for Muk-A, but allows Meloetta to maintain offensive momentum and allow you to get the correct Pokemon. (Ex: U-turn as Spd Jirachi switches in, allowing you to get Victini in easily)

Set Details
- When you talk about the EV spread, you should order it differently. Talk about the Speed, Special Attack, then HP. This is just a minor detail, but that's basically the order of importance and makes it easier to figure out where the spread came from. If you mention the HP first, it makes it sound like it's trying to hit some sort of benchmark, but it's really just an afterthought/the leftover EVs.
- Merge the two points about the 184 Speed EVs and the Timid nature. You need both components to outspeed Gyarados, Mamoswine, and Adamant Excadrill; Gyarados and Mamoswine always run Jolly. Also, sorry about this, take out Buzzwole. I know I told you to add it, but I forgot that it only really runs Adamant, so Meloetta should outspeed regardless.

Usage Tips
- "Most of the time it's just Shadow Ball spam against Ghost-types since it can just KO something defensive like Gourgeist."
Just say that it can easily check Ghost-types, don't mention "Shadow Ball spam", which is only applicable if you're talking about against Ghost Monotype teams really.
- Not sure if this is what you meant by Shadow Ball spam, but mention that Serene Grace does allow it to break through resilient walls more easily by occasionally lowering their Special Defense.
- The point made with Healing Wish should be left for Team Options
- Choice Scarf Meloetta isn't a good set, nor is it common, so you won't be able to bluff the Choice Scarf well. The part where you mention bringing Meloetta via U-Turn is good though.

Team Options
- Gourgeist doesn't really threaten Mega Slowbro that well. There are better Ghost-type examples, like Gengar. Remove Gourgeist
- Instead of Seismitoad and Kingdra under Victini's section, just say something like "...to it like bulky Water-types such as Gastrodon, ...".
- Add that Healing Wish support allows you to play more freely with Meloetta. You mention that you need to preserve Meloetta to check Ghost-types, but, if you have Healing Wish support for late-game, you can afford to have Meloetta weakened.
- The part with Mew has some of unneeded/extra info.
I want you to remove the last two sentences in Mew's first bullet point, they're just "fluff" in this part. Just focus on WoW support allowing Mew to soften up physical attackers for Meloetta.
- Also, Meloetta doesn't need Mew's Knock Off support to operate well, so that's not worth mentioning.

Assault Vest

The set should be using Timid, Modest and Calm don't work well.

Moves
- Weavile is not a good example of what Focus Blast hits. Weavile isn't switching into Meloetta, and Meloetta is not taking a Knock Off and living to retaliate. TTar, Greninja, and basically either slower or special Dark-types are better examples.
- Remove Hyper Voice; it is much less useful on AV because it lacks the wallbreaking power, whereas DG and U-Turn have more utility.

Set Details
- For your first point, the two sentences are essentially saying the same thing. Edit this by merging them or just deleting one of them.
- Don't forget to mention Serene Grace
- Edit the description of the EV spread the same way as earlier.

Usage Tips
- Scald Manaphy and TBolt Thundurus aren't notable examples. Tapu Koko, Greninja, and +1 Volcarona are better, since they demonstrate Meloetta's bulk much better.
- Talk about how Meloetta is an exemplary special tank in the sense that it can take very strong attacks while dishing out decently powerful attacks itself
- I mentioned this earlier, but Mega Sableye doesn't always run Dark Pulse but may use Knock Off / Foul Play, so remove that point.
- Elaborate on Meloetta's ability to pivot

Team Options
- Mega Slowbro cannot check Mimikyu; also, Chandelure is very rare this gen, Gengar is your best example of a special Ghost-type

Checks and Counters
- Either take out Knock Off or mention in the Dark-types section. It's a bit of a given; it's like saying Garchomp is weak to Ice Beam.

Nice work; I think you missed a few of my initial changes, so once you update this I'll look at it again.

Sorry xEpicc I'm stepping in here. There's just way too much to do given the fact that SirSkit has to do two very lengthy checks and still can't confidently stamp. At this point, SirSkit's basically writing the analysis for you and that's simply not QC's job. I'm still seeing so many more issues to go, and it isn't fair for him to do so much work for you. As a result, I'm reassigning this. Please learn more about Monotype first before reserving another Pokemon, as this is the second reassigned analysis of yours in a row. Feel free to try again, but please become more familiar with Monotype and look at other examples to see what sort of detail we're looking for to make sure you have actual facts and the details we're looking for.
