OU Kyurem-B

QC 3/3 (Colonel M, PK Gaming, Gary)
GP 2/2 (frenzyplant, Dutch Plumberjack)

[OVERVIEW]

Kyurem-B is a very powerful wallbreaker thanks to its massive base 170 Attack stat and amazing offensive typing, allowing it to tear apart bulkier teams and making it very hard to switch into. Coverage options like Fusion Bolt and Earth Power couple amazingly with Kyurem-B's STAB moves, dealing massive amounts of damage to Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Toxapex, Magnezone, and Heatran. Its Dragon typing and great overall bulk enable it to switch into neutral or resisted moves without taking too much damage. Finally, Teravolt can be handy when Kyurem-B finds itself facing Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Rotom-W, and Bronzong, as it ignores the likes of Thick Fat and Levitate.

On the other hand, Kyurem-B lacks a spammable physical Ice-type STAB move, making the one-use Subzero Slammer its only option to use its base 170 Attack stat. In spite of Kyurem-B's base 95 Speed allowing it to outspeed key targets such as Heatran, Tapu Fini, Excadrill, and Gyarados, Pokemon like Mega Medicham, Keldeo, Volcarona, and Terrakion can all take advantage of the fact that Kyurem-B's Ice typing gives it many weaknesses and outspeed and either heavily damage or OHKO it. Furthermore, Kyurem-B's Stealth Rock weakness and vulnerability to burn, Toxic poison, and paralysis make it easier for it to get worn down throughout a match. It also faces competition with other wallbreakers in the tier, such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, Landorus-T and Alolan Marowak.

Moves
========

Freeze Shock turns into an incredibly powerful Subzero Slammer thanks to Icium Z, but it is really unreliable otherwise because a regular Freeze Shock takes an extra turn to charge. Subzero Slammer achieves feats such as OHKOing Chansey and Mew after Stealth Rock and doing around 80% to physically defensive Skarmory and Ferrothorn. Fusion Bolt gives Kyurem-B BoltBeam coverage and is also a very reliable option to hit many Pokemon neutrally. Gyarados, Skarmory, Celesteela, Toxapex and many others get throttled by Fusion Bolt. Ice Beam acts as a reliable Ice-type STAB move, since Subzero Slammer can only be used once. Earth Power allows Kyurem-B to heavily damage Magearna, Alolan Marowak, Heatran, Rotom-W, and Magnezone, which would wall it otherwise. Outrage gives Kyurem-B an extremely powerful STAB move that hits many Pokemon neutrally and uses Kyurem-B's huge Attack stat. Dragon Claw is an option as well that trades power for reliability. Roost can also be used in the last slot to ensure that Kyurem-B's health is maintained throughout a match and alleviate Kyurem-B's Stealth Rock weakness. Substitute can ease predictions and make Kyurem-B an even bigger threat because of the number of switches it causes; it also helps Kyurem-B avoid status from the likes of Rotom-W and Heatran. Hidden Power Fire can be used in the last slot as well, allowing Kyurem-B to break through Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.

Set Details
========

Icium Z allows Kyurem-B to use Subzero Slammer, and Teravolt is Kyurem-B's only ability and allows Kyurem-B to break past Pokemon with abilities like Levitate, Thick Fat, and Disguise, such as Rotom-W, Mega Venusaur, and Mimikyu. A Naughty nature gives Kyurem-B even more power behind its physical moves when paired with maximum Attack investment; a Naive nature, on the other hand, allows it to Speed tie with Tapu Lele and Jolly Zygarde as well as outspeed Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Heatran. The Speed EVs are crucial for dealing with Pokemon slightly slower than Kyurem-B, like Landorus-T and Excadrill. If Speed tying with the aforementioned Tapu Lele and Zygarde isn't needed, an alternative EV spread of 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe can be used to outspeed 252 Speed Landorus-T; Kyurem-B shouldn't run fewer Speed EVs than that.

Usage Tips
========

It's really important to preserve Subzero Slammer and only use it at the right time, since a skilled opponent will likely try to play around Kyurem-B, attempting to figure what set it is running. In a scenario where a potential Subzero Slammer target such as Mega Venusaur or Chansey is likely to switch out, go for Ice Beam or Fusion Bolt instead of using Subzero Slammer straightaway. It's also important to be careful with Pokemon that generally run Protect, because they can waste Kyurem-B's Z-Move. However, Subzero Slammer may not be so important against certain teams, so there's no problem in using it early-game just to heavily damage an opposing Pokemon in these situations. Switching Kyurem-B in on a resisted move or a weaker neutral move is a great idea if you don't have any better switch-in; however, attempt to remove Stealth Rock and Spikes before recklessly switching Kyurem-B in, since they can easily wear Kyurem-B down. Additionally, avoid letting Kyurem-B get afflicted with a status condition, as they severely hinder Kyurem-B's wallbreaking potential.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that provide Defog support are generally great teammates. Tapu Fini protects Kyurem-B from status effects with Misty Terrain and can wear down Steel-types with Nature's Madness and Taunt, Mega Scizor can use U-turn to safely bring Kyurem-B onto the battlefield, and Latios can weaken Steel-types for Kyurem-B. Tapu Koko is a great partner, as Kyurem-B eliminates most of its checks and Tapu Koko provides U-turn or Volt Switch support and a powerup to Fusion Bolt for Kyurem-B. Magnezone, Magearna, and Rotom-W also provide Volt Switch support for Kyurem-B. Magnezone traps and eliminates Mega Scizor; Assault Vest Magearna has great synergy with Kyurem-B, taking on Ash-Greninja, Tapu Lele, Keldeo, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn; and Rotom-W can weaken Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Will-O-Wisp. Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Tapu Koko appreciate Kyurem-B's ability to decimate Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Tangrowth, and Amoongus. Landorus-T can also pressure the opponent's team with Stealth Rock. Finally, Volcarona, Heatran, and Alolan Marowak can annihilate Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn with their Fire-type STAB moves. Volcarona also appreciates Kyurem-B's wallbreaking efforts, which make it easier for Volcarona to clean late-game. Alolan Marowak and Heatran can also provide Stealth Rock.

Moves
========

Ice Beam is a reliable Ice-type STAB move that allows Kyurem-B to damage Pokemon like Landorus-T and Mega Venusaur super effectively. Fusion Bolt has amazing coverage when coupled with Ice Beam, allowing Kyurem-B to nail Pokemon such as Celesteela and Tapu Fini. Earth Power hits the few Pokemon that resist both Ice Beam and Fusion Bolt, such as Alolan Marowak, Magnezone, and Rotom-W, while also nailing Magearna and physically defensive Toxapex. Hidden Power Fire destroys Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, Pokemon that are generally considered very solid checks to Kyurem-B. Roost can also be used in the last slot to alleviate Kyurem-B's Stealth Rock weakness by providing reliable recovery. The powerful Outrage or the more reliable Dragon Claw can be used over Hidden Power Fire to act as a powerful Dragon-type STAB move that uses Kyurem-B's massive Attack stat. Both ensure Mega Charizard X can't set up on Kyurem-B and let Kyurem-B 2HKO Chansey, after Stealth Rock in Dragon Claw's case.

Set Details
========

Life Orb is used to significantly raise Kyurem-B's damage output at the cost of some recoil damage. Teravolt allows Kyurem-B to ignore abilities such as Levitate and Thick Fat, coming in very handy against Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Rotom-W. A Rash nature coupled with maximum Special investment gives Ice Beam, Earth Power, and Hidden Power Fire more overall power; however, if outspeeding max Speed Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Heatran is deemed necessary, a Naive nature should be chosen instead. 252 Speed EVs are used to let Kyurem-B Speed tie with other base 95s, while 224 Speed EVs can be used instead to ensure that Kyurem-B outspeeds 252 Speed Landorus-T if speed tying with Tapu Lele and Zygarde isn't needed. 252 Attack EVs can also be used with an Attack-boosting nature to ensure Fusion Bolt and Outrage/Dragon Claw hit as hard as possible, at the cost of slightly weakening Kyurem-B's other moves.

Usage Tips
========

This set should be used early-game to punch holes in the opposing team, as it allows teammates to clean up later in the battle. However, Kyurem-B requires some prediction to work to its full potential, because faster Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Nihilego may try to switch into Kyurem-B to grab momentum, and opponents with bulkier teams might try to pivot on Kyurem-B to wear it down with Life Orb recoil, Stealth Rock, Toxic, and burn. Pokemon with Regenerator like Toxapex and Assault Vest Tangrowth might also try to pivot on Kyurem-B, making prediction even more important to prevent them from healing up. Kyurem-B can be sent out on weaker neutral moves or resisted ones, since its formidable bulk allows it to take hits surprisingly well; however, avoid switching Kyurem-B into stronger neutral moves or super effective coverage, especially if entry hazards on your side of the field could wear it down.

Team Options
========

Pairing Kyurem-B with late-game cleaners is a smart idea. Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Ash-Greninja, Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, and Double Dance Landorus-T benefit from the damage Kyurem-B racks up on the opponent's team, easing their sweeps; the first three can also wallbreak on their own, making Kyurem-B's role easier to fulfill. Entry hazard removers like Mega Scizor, Mew, Zapdos, and Tapu Fini are great teammates as well, as they can Defog away the hazards that bother Kyurem-B. Mega Scizor can give Kyurem-B a safe switch in with U-turn; Mew deals with Mega Medicham and Mega Mawile; Zapdos can threaten Mega Scizor thanks to Heat Wave; and Tapu Fini can make Kyurem-B immune to status conditions for a couple of turns, thanks to Misty Terrain. Tapu Koko partners really well with Kyurem-B, as Kyurem-B breaks down many Tapu Koko checks such as Alolan Marowak, Magnezone, and Ferrothorn and Tapu Koko's U-turn and Volt Switch can help Kyurem-B switch in safely. Electric Terrain also boosts Kyurem-B's Fusion Bolt, which is especially relevant for maximum Attack variants. Finally, defensive Landorus-T and Rotom-W can lure in Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Celesteela as well as Grass-types like Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu for Kyurem-B and provide momentum with U-turn and Volt Switch. Magearna also provides Volt Switch support, can weaken Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Hidden Power Fire, and provides a switch-in to Tapu Lele.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Outrage is somewhat spammable thanks to its high Base Power and Kyurem-B's huge Attack stat. However, the presence of Fairy- and Steel-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Scizor makes it tougher to spam. Fusion Bolt acts as a reliable option to hit many Pokemon neutrally and deal with Pokemon like Tapu Fini and Skarmory that can eat Outrage. Dragon Claw is a more reliable Dragon-type STAB move, since it doesn't induce confusion and allows Kyurem-B to switch out. Ice Beam is preferred in the last slot, since it complements Fusion Bolt and Outrage and still heavily damages, if not OHKOes, Pokemon like Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Tangrowth even though it isn't boosted by Choice Band. Iron Head can also be used in the last slot to nail Fairy-types that think they are safe switching into Kyurem-B, such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Clefable.

Set Details
========

Choice Band gives Kyurem-B even more power, and Teravolt helps when facing the likes of Mega Venusaur, Alolan Marowak, and Mimikyu. Naughty is the preferred nature to maximize Kyurem-B's Attack when coupled with maximum investment if it is running Ice Beam; otherwise, an Adamant nature should be used. A Naive or Jolly nature can also be used if outspeeding maximum Speed Landorus-T, Excadrill, or Heatran is deemed necessary; however, this set can't accomplish too much by outspeeding the aforementioned Pokemon, so it's really up to preference. 252 Speed EVs ensure Kyurem-B will Speed tie with opposing Kyurem-B and Tapu Lele, 224 Speed EVs with a Speed-boosting nature can be run to outspeed Landorus-T, 176 Speed EVs with a Speed-boosting nature can be used to outrun maximum Speed Kingdra and Tapu Fini, and 236 Speed EVs without a Speed-boosting nature can be used to outrun maximum Speed base 80s like Dragonite, Mamoswine, and Hoopa-U.

Usage Tips
========

This set aims to rack up damage on the opponent's team by spamming Choice Band-boosted Outrage; however, it's important to try to remove opposing Fairy- and Steel-types for Kyurem-B to be able to wallbreak efficiently. Kyurem-B can also wallbreak using Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam, since both also hit very hard and allow it to bypass Steel- and Fairy-types. Furthermore, it's very important to try to keep Stealth Rock away from your side of the field, since Kyurem-B is likely to switch in several times throughout a match because of the number of switches it forces. Additionally, Kyurem-B can be sent out on a weaker neutral move or a resisted one if there isn't any better switch-in; just avoid letting Kyurem-B get worn down too much if its wallbreaking is valuable.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can efficiently remove Steel-types are amazing partners, since this set cannot handle them well. Magnezone and Fire-types like Alolan Marowak and Heatran are great examples. Steel- and Poison-types, such as Mega Mawile, Gengar, and Nihilego, also partner well with this set thanks to their ability to take down Fairy-types. Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Tapu Fini can remove Stealth Rock from Kyurem-B's side of the field. Excadrill and Mega Scizor also aid in taking on Fairy-types, and Tapu Fini provides Misty Terrain support. Landorus-T, Assault Vest Magearna, and Rotom-W are great partners thanks to their U-turn and Volt Switch support. Landorus-T can set up Stealth Rock, and Magearna can also handle Steel-types and Tapu Lele. Teammates that benefit from Kyurem-B wearing down common Dragon-types and physically defensive Pokemon are also great partners; examples include Tapu Bulu, Alolan Marowak, Latios, and Dragonite.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Using a nature that reduces Defense instead of Special Defense, such as Lonely over Naughty, Hasty over Naive, or Mild over Rash, might be preferred on teams that have more trouble against special attackers such as Tapu Koko and Greninja. Choice Scarf and a set of Outrage, Fusion Bolt, Dragon Claw, and Ice Beam can be used to allow Kyurem-B to act as a revenge killer. Dragonium Z with Outrage is an option over Icium Z; however, Ice is a superior offensive typing, Outrage is already powerful enough, and Kyurem-B has no reliable physical Ice-type move outside of Subzero Slammer. Finally, Substitute and Leftovers can be used to help Kyurem-B deal with faster threats that try to switch into it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types are Kyurem-B's greatest enemies. They resist Kyurem-B's STAB combination and usually don't take too much damage from Fusion Bolt. Faster Steel-types like Jolly Excadrill and Timid Heatran are also troublesome if Kyurem-B is not running a Speed-increasing nature. However, Pokemon like Heatran, Magearna, and Magnezone must watch out for Earth Power, and Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn must be be careful of Hidden Power Fire.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Clefable are immune to Kyurem-B's Outrage, giving them an opportunity to switch in and knock it out. However, most of them fall to Subzero Slammer, and they should watch out for Iron Head as well.

**Faster Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon with a super effective move can usually revenge kill Kyurem-B with some ease. Nihilego, Latios, Keldeo, Terrakion, and Mega Medicham can all outspeed and heavily damage or OHKO Kyurem-B.

**Entry Hazards**: Kyurem-B is not only weak to Stealth Rock but also vulnerable to all entry hazards, which make Kyurem-B much easier to wear down and limit its opportunities to switch in. Roost alleviates this issue, but many sets can't afford to run it.

I would add a similar set later on, I was kind of busy this weekend so I really didn't have the time to add it, but I can assure that it will be a main set after this leaves WIP :) but are you really sure that it should be the first set? Imo Icium Z is a much better wall breaker since Subzero Slammer just does so much damage

Kind of weird because I've been using Kyurem-B a lot lately so I have some things to add about it.

Set order should be Mixed > Subzero > Choice Band. Out of the sets Ive not really touched Choice Band but I won't lie that Choice Band moves can cause a lot of punishment at the cost of always being more vulnerable to Dugtrio (due to locking on Fusion Bolt).

As a general consensus I feel Kyurem-B should always run a positive attacking nature. While I confess this makes Kyurem-B slower than some threats such as Jolly Landorus-T and always Speed ties Zygarde (though some run Jolly for some reason) Kyurem-B is one of those Pokemon that should exercise using its full potential in power. Believe it or not both LO and Subzero can leave a hefty dent on stall when played correctly - even if it only takes down one threat it can give mileage to teams when done properly. I still advise the positive Speed nature is still listed, though, as some people may want to sacrifice power for more consistency on what Kyurem-B could take on with +Speed. Also in Other Options I would detail how a -Def nature can be used (Lonely / Hasty / etc) for teams vulnerable to Koko and cant pack Roost. Dazzling Gleam sucks but KyuB can do okay against Pivot Koko.

Let's start with this set:

[SET]
name: Mixed Wallbreaker
move 1: Ice Beam
move 2: Fusion Bolt
move 3: Earth Power
move 4: Hidden Power [Fire] / Roost
item: Life Orb / Expert Belt
ability: Teravolt
nature: Rash / Naive
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- I honestly disagree with Expert Belt, but it is fine to mention in Set Details. I wouldn't call it a bad item since 4 attacks KyuB sometimes appreciates having the durability, but the raw power behind Life Orb is hard to pass up.

- I actually want Dragon Claw mentioned - in moves. The reasons for Dragon Claw goes back to stall - Life Orb max Attack Dragon Claw will at least 2HKO Chansey if Stealth Rock or a layer of Spikes are on the field. Dragon Claw is harder to punish with Clefable who has to be weary on taking too many Fusion Bolts. For most teams it is easier to "respond" to Dugtrio KOing Kyurem-B than Clefable IMO unless you're running something such as Mega Metagross or possibly Protean Greninja. Basically my argument is max Attack Dragon Claw still gets the job done and should be mentioned. This is also minor, but Dragon Claw means Zard X cant set up on Kyurem-B's face too. Ive done without Earth Power and had Roost as a slot, but I only recommend that for teams not looking to specifically open holes for Koko.

- Mention Max Attack too with a positive Attack nature is an option in Set Details. Hidden Power Fire should still 2HKO Ferrothorn anyway, though note that this does mean Assault Vest Tangrowth can tank an Ice Beam a little easier. You also soup up Fusion Bolt which can be boosted via Electric Terrain.
*Prediction isn't really necessary against slower opponents since this set has coverage for heavily denting most of the usual Kyurem-B switch-ins.
I disagree. Prediction helps a lot when Kyurem-B is technically on a timer without Roost and using Life Orb while putting your opponent on their toes. If you're confident Metagross will switch in because you're face to face with defensive Landorus-T you should anticipate and predict the Metagross switch-in. That's what Kyurem-B so dangerous - there's little safe switch-ins if you anticipate what will come in or double out. I know it was noted in the section, but even against slower opponents you want to maximize momentum if your opponent wants to juggle Regenerator Pokemon against you (this has been done to me before between AV Growth and Toxapex). I would reword both of those sentences because having the upper hand in momentum is huge for battles considering Kyurem-B will eventually drain it a bit with Mega Metagross or Mega Medicham coming in on the revenge.
*Hazards removers like Tapu Fini, Latios, Mega Scizor, Excadrill and Zapdos are great teammates as well. Tapu Fini can make Kyurem-B immune to status conditions for a couple of turns, Latios can benefit from Kyurem-B breaking down walls and Mega Scizor helps Kyurem-B out with U-turn.
I'm okay with Tapu Fini, but I really think Mega Scizor should be first, then Mew, then Zapdos, and finally Tapu Fini. Latios is okay but they share common weaknesses, Excadrill doesn't excel helping Kyurem-B much at all outside of maybe getting Rocks down against matchups like stall (which does help with Max Attack Kyurem-B I admit). Mega Scizor really needs to be first because Mega Metagross will just constantly apply pressure against Kyurem-B while Mega Scizor can potentially re-swing the momentum in the team's favor or scare out Mega Metagross. Mew is next for Mega Medicham and Mega Mawile, then Zapdos at least can cover Mega Scizor with Heat Wave while helping non-HP Fire variants. Tapu Fini is one I kind of guess works but I would really exercise other entry hazard removers first.

- I want Koko as a separate section because the synergy between these two mons is pretty good. Kyurem-B blows through a lot of Koko checks and counters such as Magnezone, Alolan Marowak, and Ferrothorn. Mention pivot can U-turn Kyurem-B in safely against a predicted switch out while Offensive appreciates the holes generated by Kyurem-B. Kyurem-B also gets to toy with Fusion Bolt - and let me tell you max Attack Fusion Bolt in Electric Terrain fucking hurts. Also outside of Landorus-T I dont know what Garchomp really benefits from Kyurem-B. Ive used these two but mostly for separate reasons (they both can dent things together though Chomp I had hits softer due to Dual Chop and the KyuB I have is Dragon Claw max Attack with Roost > Earth Power). Not to say theyre a bad combo but they dont really help each other out IMO.

- Assault Vest Magearna is a good partner for Kyurem-B but for different reasons than what you mentioned. AV and offensive Magearna keep Kyurem-B from being a free momentum grab for Tapu Lele. Assault Vest Magearna can carry HP Fire too to cover Ferrothorn, so if you do mention it mention how Kyurem-B still bypasses things like Tangrowth and Mega Venusaur while Magearna can bop Ferrothorn switchins or give momentum with Volt Switch.

Subzero Slammer

Most of the stuff looks fine in here. Dragon Claw can be used as a reliable STAB that runs off of max Attack that doest lock Kyurem-B into Outrage, but its weaker than you sometimes want it to be.

General stuff mentioned is okay. The set definitely can lead against Tapu Koko and immediately threaten a team with the thought of Subzero Slammer and boosted Fusion Bolts on Electric Terrain. Unless you have Mew in the back I dont recommend leading it against Mega Medicham. Im not 100% sure on your remainder Usage Details because sometimes it is okay to dump Subzero Slammer early against some teams. The use of the move really depends on the situation and team composition. Make a comment about Protect. Mons such as Mega Sableye, Clefable, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn can ruin Subzero with Protect.

See previous comments for hazard removal support.
*Magnezone, Magearna and Rotom-W provide Volt Switch support for Kyurem-B; Magnezone traps and eliminates Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor;
How often are you not going to use Subzero Slammer against Ferrothorn outside of Protect? I can think of a few, but I think overall Scizor needs mention before Ferrothorn. Mention Magearna can Focus Blast, Hidden Power Fire, or Aura Sphere Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

Again another separate mention for Koko.

Everything else looks okay. I have thought about mentioning Freeze Shock mind games against Protect users but it is very risky.

Choice Band

I have the least experience with this set but:
*Teravolt doesn't accomplish much for this set, but it is Kyurem-B's only ability.
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory in Electric Terrain: 374-440 (111.9 - 131.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Ice Beam can 2HKO a lot of Mega Venusaur with some chip.

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mimikyu: 264-311 (105.1 - 123.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

If theres no Rocks on Kyurem-Bs field and it hasnt taken a single point of damage it always lives Adamant Play Rough at worst (so it cant safely Swords Dance on Fusion Bolt lock).

Theres also Lightningrod Alolan Marowak which cannot switch into Fusion Bolt lock (it doesnt want to switch in anyway but it means Alolan Marowak cannot take advantage of an Electric lock).

Rash does not give +Attack. Only Lonely and Naughty do (without sacrificing Speed like Brave does). You want Naughty on that set.
*This set aims to rack up damage on the opponents team by spamming Choice Band Outrage; however, its vital to try to remove the Fairy-types from the opponents team for Kyurem-B to be able to wallbreak efficiently.
Mention how Kyurem-B can open holes itself with Band Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam if necessary. Iron Head is a slash and you can talk about how it bypasses majority of Steel-types.
and Magearna can also handle Steel-types.
And not Tapu Lele?

Also add Koko here too. Choice Band Fusion Bolts hit like a nuke if you dont resist or arent immune to it.
*Kyurem-B can use a defensive set with Roost as well, thanks to its outstanding 125/100/90 bulk. However, Ice-type is really bad defensively, giving Kyurem-B a total of five weaknesses when coupled with its Dragon-typing.
No.

Mention Substitute and Leftovers in Other Options. Substitute sacrifices a coverage move in exchange for protection against faster threats that are hard to predict against (also helps against status). Leftovers should be used with Sub.
**Steel-types**: Steel-types are Kyurem-B's greatest enemies. This type resists Kyurem-B's STAB combo and usually don't take too much from Fusion Bolt. However, Pokémon like Heatran, Magearna and Magnezone must watch out for the uncommon Earth Power. And Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn must be be careful in case Kyurem-B has Hidden Power [Fire].
Okay but youre missing the Steels for the most part. Its great you mentioned what they fear, but how about things like Mega Metagross always being faster and smashing its face in with Meteor Mash. I get its in "Faster Pokemon" as is Mega Scizor... and Scarf Excadrill for some reason, but why not in here? Mention Jolly Excadrill can Iron Head neutral Speed natured Kyurem-Bs. Get rid of Breloom.

There's a lot to implement. Once you're done implementing feel free to tag me in here and we can proceed.

I'd like to recommend some rewording on the AoA set. Skarmory isn't "walling" Kyube, as even SpDef is 2HKOed by Ice Beam, and Phys is OHKOed by Rash Ice Beam 30% of the time after rocks damage. Phys Toxapex is 2HKOed by neutral Earth Power, while Fusion Bolt has a (very) slight chance to miss out on the 2HKO without rocks. Interestingly enough, 4 Atk EVs clinch the 2HKO, so you might consider that. Out of the ones you mentioned, Fini and Celesteela are hit harder by Fusion Bolt.

Hot damn that thing is strong, makes me want to play mons again.

I just noticed Expert Belt was listed in the analysis.

Please remove it.
I added it cuz' Vertex suggested it, I didnt think it was that bad... Well, its removed now

I reworded 'Pokemon that would wall' to 'Pokemon that could annoy'. I agree with you, Skarmory and Pex were not walling Kyurem-B anytime soon, it was just poor wording on my part. Also, 4 Atk > 4 SpD EVs, idk how I let that slide

Btw, Im not sure if I'll be able to write this soon, bcause im on a trip and the internet is quite crappy here, not to mention idk if i'll have too much 'free time' so even if i had the internet i might not even have the time. By next Sunday everything should be written by then though.

Earth Power does more to Pex. I know it's petty but for the sake of informing the reader, please remove it from that sentence and change the wording back to "walled" ... those two mons are fine. Mention Toxapex on the bullet point for Earth Power instead.

Exploudit Progress on this?
Btw, Im not sure if I'll be able to write this soon, bcause im on a trip and the internet is quite crappy here, not to mention idk if i'll have too much 'free time' so even if i had the internet i might not even have the time. By next Sunday everything should be written by then though.
As I've said above, I'm quite busy today and the day after, since I'm currently on a trip, but I'll be back home by Sunday and the analysis should be written up by then, I'll try to finish it now, though, but idk if I'll have the time..

  • Mention in the overview how it also faces competition from other breakers in the tier, such as Lele, Bulu, and offensive Landorus-T.
  • Mention Magearna as a useful target for Earth Power, considering how prevalent it is
  • Mention some useful KOs or Pokemon that are dealt massive amounts of damage from Freeze Shock that might otherwise give Kyurem-B trouble, such as Ferrothorn, Mew, and Chansey after Stealth Rock.
Hidden Power Fire can be used on the last slot as well, allowing Kyurem-B to break through Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn or hit Mega Metgross on an expected switch-in.
Remove Mega Metagross mention lol.

In team options for CB set, mentions teammates that appreciate Kyurem-B's ability to heavily soften up common switch-ins to physical attackers/Dragon type Pokemon

However, Pokémon like Heatran, Magearna and Magnezone must watch out for the uncommon Earth Power.
I don't think uncommon is the right word here, considering Earth Power is standalone on its main set and is the first slash on its Icium set as well.

I would add an "Entry Hazards" section to C&C. Kyurem-B is not only weak to SR, but also vulnerable to Spikes and T-spikes, which heavily limits its opportunities to come in and doesn't really allow it to abuse its decent bulk/resistances, especially if not running Roost.

Other than that, looks good. Thanks for getting this done, I apologize for rushing you!

Kyurem-B is a very powerful wallbreaker thanks to its massive base 170 Attack stat and amazing offensive typing, allowing it to tear apart bulkier teams and making Kyurem-B it very hard to switch into. Freeze Shock turns into an incredibly powerful Subzero Slammer thanks to Icium Z dealing massive amounts of damage, and that's the sole reason for Freeze Shock's inclusion on Kyurem-B's moveset, since a regualar Freeze Shock (I think the second part is implied) but is really unreliable otherwise because a regular Freeze Shock takes an extra turn to charge. (change comma to period) making it really unreliable, Subzero Slammer achieves feats such as OHKOing Chansey and Mew after Stealth Rock and doing around 80% to physically defensive Skarmory and Ferrothorn. Fusion Bolt gives Kyurem-B BoltBeam coverage (since there's a coined term for this) amazing coverage, since Electric and Ice couple amazing offensively, it and is also a very reliable option to hit many Pokemon neutrally. Gyarados, Skarmory, Celesteela, Toxapex and many others get throttled by Fusion Bolt. Ice Beam acts as a reliable Ice-type STAB move, since Subzero Slammer can only be used once. Earth Power allows Kyurem-B to heavily damage Magearna, Alolan Marowak, Marowak-A, Heatran, Rotom-W, (comma) and Magnezone, as those Pokémon which would wall Kyurem-B otherwise. Outrage gives Kyurem-B an extremely powerful STAB move that hits many Pokemon neutrally, (remove comma) and can act as a way to abuses Kyurem-B's huge Attack stat. Dragon Claw is an option as well trading that trades power for reliability. Roost can also be used on in the last slot to ensure that Kyurem-B's health is maintained is mantained healthy throughout a match, it also alleviates and alleviate Kyurem-B's Stealth Rock weakness. Substitute can easy ease predictions and make Kyurem-B an even bigger of a threat because of the number of switches it causes; it also helps Kyurem-B avoid status from the likes of Rotom-W and Heatran. Hidden Power Fire can be used on in the last slot as well, allowing Kyurem-B to break through Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.

Set Details

Icium-Z is obviously chosen to Icium Z allows Kyurem-B to use Subzero Slammer, while and Teravolt is Kyurem-B's only ability, and it and allows Kyurem-B to break past Pokemon with abilities like Levitate, Thick Fat, (comma) and Disguise, (semicolon to comma) such as Rotom-W, Mega Venusaur, (comma) and Mimikyu. A Naughty nature gives Kyurem-B even more power behind its physical moves when paired with maximum Attack invesment; (comma to semicolon) a Naive nature, (comma) on the other hand, allows it to Speed tie with Tapu Lele and Jolly Zygarde as well as outspeed Landorus-T, Excadrill, (comma) and Heatran. The Speed EVs are crucial for dealing with Pokemon slightly slower than Kyurem-B, like Landorus-T and Excadrill. If Speed tying with other base 95 Speed Pokemon with base 95 Spe (maybe give examples of these Pokemon if they were not given earlier?) isn't needed, an alternative EV spread of 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe can be used to outspeed 252 Speed EVs Landorus-T; Kyurem-B shouldn't run less fewer Speed EVs than that.

Usage Tips

It's (apostrophe) really important to preserve Subzero Slammer and only use it at the right time, since a skilled opponent will likely try to play around with Kyurem-B, attempting to figure what set it is running. So In a scenario where a potential Subzero Slammer target, (remove comma) such as Mega Venusaur or Chansey, (remove comma) is likely to switch out, instead of using Slammer straighaway, go for Ice Beam, (remove comma) or Fusion Bolt instead of using Subzero Slammer straightaway respectively. It's also important to be careful with Pokemon that generally run Protect since because they can waste Kyurem-B's Z-Move. Though, in certain teams, However, Subzero Slammer may not be so important against certain teams, so if preserving is deemed unnecessary, there's no problem in using it early-game (hyphen) just to heavily damage an opposing Pokemon in these situations from the opponent's team. Switching Kyurem-B in on a resisted move or a weaker neutral move is a great idea if you don't have any better switch-in; (comma to semicolon) however, watch out for attempt to remove Stealth Rock or and Spikes before recklessly switching Kyurem-B in, since they can easily wear Kyurem-B down. (period) out, in this case, attempt to remove the hazards from your side of the field before recklessly switching Kyurem-B in, Additionally, avoid letting Kyurem-B get afflicted with a status condition, as they severely Burn, Toxic and Paralysis severly hinder Kyurem-B's wallbreaking potential. (comma to period) so avoid switching Kyurem-B into Scald, Thunder Wave or other moves along those lines. (this is implied by the previous)

Team Options

Pokemon that provide Defog support are generally great teammates. (semicolon to period) Tapu Fini protects Kyurem-B from status effects with Misty Terrain and can wear down Steel-types with Nature's Madness and Taunt, (semicolon to comma - only use semicolons to separate list items when an items itself contains commas) Mega Scizor can use U-turn to safely bring Kyurem-B onto the battlefield, (semicolon to comma) Finally, and Latios can overwhelm weaken Steel-types by weakening them for Kyurem-B. Tapu Koko is a great partner, (comma) as Kyurem-B eliminates most of its checks and Tapu Koko provides U-turn/Volt Switch support and a powerup to Fusion Bolt for Kyurem-B. Also, Electric Terrain can power up Kyurem-B's Fusion Bolt. Magnezone, Magearna, (comma) and Rotom-W also provide Volt Switch support for Kyurem-B. (semicolon to period) Magnezone traps and eliminates Mega Scizor; Assault Vest Magearna has great synergy with Kyurem-B, (comma) taking on Ash-Greninja, Tapu Lele, Keldeo, Mega Scizor, (comma) and Ferrothorn; and Rotom-W can weaken Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Will-O-Wisp. Landorus-T, Keldeo, (comma) and Tapu Koko appreciate Kyurem-B's ability to decimate Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Tangrowth, (comma) and Amoongus. Landorus-T can also Pressure the opponents pressure the opponent's team with Stealth Rock. Finally, Volcarona, Heatran, (comma) and Alolan Marowak can annihilate Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn with their Fire-type STAB moves. Volcarona also appreciates Kyurem-B's wallbreaking efforts, which make since that makes it easier for Volcarona to clean late-game. up late game. Moves
========

Ice Beam is a reliable Ice-type STAB move that allows Kyurem-B to damage Pokemon like Landorus-T or and Mega Venusaur super effectively. Fusion Bolt has amazing coverage when coupled with Ice Beam, allowing Kyurem-B to nail Pokemon that could otherwise wall it, (this sort of phrasing is more effective when used to describe a move that is a slash/other option rather than a mainstay of the set) such as Celesteela and Tapu Fini. Earth Power hits the few Pokemon that resist both Ice Beam and Fusion Bolt, such as Alolan Marowak, Magnezone, (comma) and Rotom-W, while also nailing Magearna and physically defensive Toxapex. Hidden Power Fire destroys Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, Pokemon that are generally considered very solid checks to Kyurem-B. Roost can also be used on in the last slot to alleviate Kyurem-B's Stealth Rock weakness, as well as provide by providing reliable recovery. The powerful Outrage or the more reliable Dragon Claw can be used over Hidden Power Fire to act as a powerful Dragon-type STAB move that uses and to abuse Kyurem-B's massive Attack stat. Dragon Claw is also an option that gets the job done, trading Outrage's Sheer Power for a more reliable Dragon STAB. Both ensure Mega Charizard X can't set up on Kyurem-B and can let Kyurem-B 2HKO Chansey, (remove parenthesis and add a comma) after Stealth Rock on in Dragon Claw's case. (remove parenthesis)

Set Details
========

Life Orb can be is used to significantly raise Kyurem-B's damage output, (remove comma) at the cost of some recoil damage. Teravolt allows gives Kyurem-B the ability (slightly awkward to use "ability" here since Teravolt is its ability) to ignore certain abilities such as Levitate and Thick Fat, coming in very handy against Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Rotom-W. A Rash nature coupled with maximum Special investment gives moves like Ice Beam, Earth Power, (comma) and Hidden Power Fire more overall power when coupled with maximum Special Attack EV invesment; (comma to semicolon) however, if outspeeding max Speed Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Heatran is deemed necessary, a Naive nature should be chosen instead. 252 Speed EVs are used to let Kyurem-B Speed tie with other base 95s, however while 224 Speed EVs can be used instead to ensure that Kyurem-B outspeeds 252 Speed Landorus-T if speed tying with Tapu Lele and Zygarde isn't needed, and it ensures that Kyurem-B will outspeed 252 Spe EVs Landorus-T. 252 Attack EVs can also be used with an Attack-boosting nature positive Attack Nature to ensure Fusion Bolt and Outrage/Dragon Claw hit as hard as possible, at the cost of slightly weakening Kyurem-B's other moves.

Usage Tips
========

This set should be used early-game to punch holes in the opposing teamon the opponents teams, as it allows teammates to clean up later on in the battle. However, Kyurem-B requires some prediction to work to its full potential, because faster Pokemon like Ash-Greninja (hyphen) and Nihilego may try to switch into on Kyurem-B to grab the momentum from it, and opponents with bulkier teams might try to pivot on Kyurem-B to wear it down with Life Orb recoil, Stealth Rock, Toxic, (comma) and burn. Pokemon with Regenerator like Toxapex and Assault Vest Tangrowth might also try to pivot on Kyurem-B, (comma) making prediction even more important to avoid prevent them from healing up. Kyurem-B can be sent out on weaker neutral moves or resisted ones, since its formidable bulk allows it to take hits surprisingly well; however, avoid switching to switch Kyurem-B into stronger neutral moves or super effective coverage, especially if entry hazards on your side of the field could Pokemon that have Super Effective coverage for Kyurem-B; speicially if Stealth Rock or many layers of Spikes are up on your side of the field, since they can easily wear it down Kyurem-B.

Team Options
========

Pairing Kyurem-B with late-game (hyphen) cleaners is a smart idea. Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Ash-Greninja, (hyphen) Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, (comma) and Double Dance Landorus-T benefit from the damage Kyurem-B racks up on the opponent's at the opponents team, easing their sweeps; roles at sweeping; the former first three can also wallbreak on their own, making Kyurem-B's role even easier to fulfill. Hazards Entry hazard removers like Mega Scizor, Mew, Zapdos, (comma) and Tapu Fini are great teammates as well, (comma) as they can Defog away the Stealth Rocks hazards that bother Kyurem-B. Mega Scizor can give Kyurem-B a safe switch-in switch in with U-turn; Mew deals with Mega Medicham and Mega Mawile; Zapdos can threaten Mega Scizor thanks to Heat Wave; and Tapu Fini can make Kyurem-B immune to status conditions for a couple of turns, thanks to Misty Terrain. Tapu Koko partners really well with Kyurem-B, as Kyurem-B breaks down many Tapu Koko checks such as Alolan Marowak, Magnezone, (comma) and Ferrothorn and Tapu Koko's U-turn and Volt Switch can help Kyurem-B switch in safely. In the other hand, U-turn (or Volt Switch) from Tapu Koko can help Kyurem-B get a safe switch-in when the opponent is expected to switch out. Electric Terrain also boosts Kyurem-B's Fusion Bolt, which is especially relevant for maximum Attack variants. Finally, defensive Landorus-T and Rotom-W can lure in Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Celesteela as well as Grass-types like Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu for Kyurem-B, (remove comma) and provide momentum with U-turn and Volt Switch. Magearna also provides Volt Switch support, (comma) and it can also can weaken Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor with Hidden Power Fire, (comma) and provides a switch-in to Tapu Lele.

Moves
========

Outrage is somewhat spammable thanks to its high Base Power and Kyurem-B's huge Attack stat, and Outrage's base power. However, the presence of Fairy- (hyphen) and Steel-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Scizor and Tapu Lele on the metagame makes it tougher to spam. abuse it. Fusion Bolt acts as a reliable option to hit many Pokemon neutrally and deal with Pokemon like Tapu Fini or Skarmory which that can eat Outrage. Dragon Claw acts as is a more reliable Dragon-type STAB move, since it doesn't induce confusion and allows Kyurem-B to switch out. Ice Beam is preferred in the last slot, prefered on the last since it complements Fusion Bolt and Outrage really well, and even though it isn't boosted by Choice Band it and still heavily damages, if not OHKOes, Pokemon like Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, (comma) and Tangrowth even though it isn't boosted by Choice Band. Iron Head can also be used on in the last slot to nail Fairy-types that think they are safe switching into Kyurem-B, such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, (comma) and Clefable.

Set Details
========

Choice Band gives Kyurem-B even more power, (comma) behind its moves and Teravolt helps when facing the likes of Mega Venusaur, Alolan Marowak and Mimikyu. Naughty is the preferred ability nature to maximize Kyurem-B's Attack when coupled with maximum investment if Kyurem-B it is running Ice Beam; (comma to semicolon) otherwise, an Adamant nature should be used. Both Natures, when coupled with maxium Attack invesment, give more power to Kyurem-B's physical moves. A Naive or Jolly nature can also be used if outspeeding max Speed Landorus-T, Excadrill, (comma) or Heatran is deemed necessary; (comma to semicolon) however, (comma) this set can't accomplish too much by outspeeding the aforementioned Pokemon, (comma) so it's (apostrophe) really up to preference. 252 Speed EVs ensure Kyurem-B will Speed tie with opposing Kyurem-B and Tapu Lele, (comma) 224 Speed EVs with a Speed-boosting nature EVs can be run to outspeed Landorus-T, (period to comma) 176 Speed EVs with a Speed-boosting nature can be used to outrun maximum Speed Kingdra and Tapu Fini, (period to comma) and 236 Speed EVs without a Speed-boosting nature can be used to outrun maximum Speed base 80s, (remove comma) like Dragonite, Mamoswine, (comma) and Hoopa-U.

Usage Tips
========

This set aims to rack up damage on the opponent's team by spamming Choice Band-boosted Outrage; however, it's important to try to remove the opposing Fairy- (hyphen) and Steel-types from the opponents team for Kyurem-B to be able to wallbreak efficiently. Kyurem-B can also wallbreak using Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam, since both also hit very hard, allowing and allow it to bypass Steel- (hyphen) and Fairy-types. Furthermore, it's very important to try to keep Stealth Rock away from your side of the field, since Kyurem-B is likely to switch in several times throughout a match because of the number of switches it Kyurem-B forces. Additionally, Kyurem-B should can be sent out on a weaker neutral move or a resisted one if there isn't any better switch-in; (comma to semicolon) just avoid letting Kyurem-B get worned worn down too much if its wallbreaking is valuable for Kyurem-B to wallbreak the opponents team.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that can efficiently remove Steel-types, (remove comma) are amazing partners, (comma) since this set cannot handle them well. Magnezone and Fire-types like Alolan Marowak and Heatran are great examples. Steel- (hyphen) and Poison-types, such as Mega Mawile, Gengar, (comma) and Nihilego, also partner well with this set thanks to their ability to take down Fairy-types. Excadrill, Mega Scizor, (comma) and Tapu Fini can remove Stealth Rock from Kyurem-B's side of the field. Excadrill and Mega Scizor also aid on in taking on Fairy-types, (comma) and Tapu Fini provides Misty Terrain support. Once again, (try not to reference other sets) Landorus-T, Assault Vest Magearna, (comma) and Rotom-W are great partners thanks to their U-turn and Volt Switch support. Landorus-T can set up (no hyphen) Stealth Rock, (comma) of his own and Magearna can also handle Steel-types and Tapu Lele. Teammates that benefit from Kyurem-B wearing down common Dragon-types and physically defensive Pokemon or physical attacker switch-ins are also great partners; (comma to semicolon) examples include, (remove comma) Tapu Bulu, Alolan Marowak, Latios, (comma) and Dragonite.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Using a nature that reduces Defense instead of Special Defense, such as Lonely over Naughty, Hasty over Naive, or Mild over Rash, might be preferred on certain teams that have more trouble against special attackers such as Tapu Koko and Ash Greninja prior to transformation. If maintaining Special Defense is indeed preferred, Lonely should be used over Naughty, Hasty should be used over Naive and Mild should be used over Rash. Choice Scarf and a set of Outrage, Fusion Bolt, Dragon Claw, and Ice Beam can be used to increase Kyurem-B overall Speed and (this is implied since it's the effect of the item) allow it Kyurem-B to act as a revenge killer. Outrage, Fusion Bolt, Dragon Claw and Ice Beam should be used with Choice Scarf. (I combined these two sentences, since it flows better as one) Dragonium Z (no hyphen) with Outrage is an option over Icium Z; (comma to semicolon) however, Ice is commonly seen as an a superior offensive typing, and regular Outrage is already powerful enough, whereas and Kyurem-B has no reliable physical Ice-type STAB physical move outside of Subzero Slammer. Finally, Substitute and Leftovers can be used in conjunction to help Kyurem-B deal with faster threats that might try to switch into on it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types are Kyurem-B's greatest enemies. This type resists They resist Kyurem-B's STAB combo combination and usually don't take too much damage from Fusion Bolt. Faster Steel-types like Jolly Exadrill and Timid Heatran are also troublesome if Kyurem-B is not running a Speed-increasing nature. However, Pokemon like Heatran, Magearna, (comma) and Magnezone must watch out for Earth Power, (period to comma) and Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn must be be careful of in case Kyurem-B has Hidden Power Fire.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Clefable are immune to Kyurem-B's Outrage, which prevents preventing it from switching out until its rampage is over; (remove semicolon) and gives them giving Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele and Clefable an opportunity to knock it out Kyurem-B. However, most of them fall apart to Subzero Slammer, and they should watch out for the Iron Head as well.

**Faster Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon with a super effective have have a Super-Effective move to hit Kyurem-B can usually revenge kill Kyurem-B with some ease. Nihilego, Latios, Keldeo, Terrakion, (comma) and Mega Medicham can all outspeed and heavily damage or OHKO Kyurem-B.

**Entry Hazards**: Kyurem-B is not only weak to Stealth Rock but also vulnerable to all entry hazards, which Spikes, Toxic Spikes and even Sticky Web. All of those make Kyurem-B much easier to wear down, (remove comma) and limit its opportunities to switch of switching in. Roost alleviates that this issue, but not many sets can't really afford to run it. this move.

Moves

Usage Tips
========

Usage Tips
========

Other Options

===================

Roost alleviates that this issue, but not many sets can't really afford to run it. this move.
Imlemented, thanks for the check :)

In spite of Kyurem-B's base 95 Speed allowing it to outspeed key targets (RC) such as Heatran, Tapu Fini, Excadrill, and Gyarados, Pokemon like Mega Medicham, Keldeo, Volcarona, and Terrakion can all take advantage of the fact that Kyurem-B's Ice typing gives it many weaknesses and outspeed and either heavily damage or OHKO it.

Moves

Freeze Shock turns into an incredibly powerful Subzero Slammer thanks to Icium Z, (AC) but it is really unreliable otherwise because a regular Freeze Shock takes an extra turn to charge. Earth Power allows Kyurem-B to heavily damage Magearna, Alolan Marowak, Heatran, Rotom-W, and Magnezone, which would wall Kyurem-B it otherwise.

Set Details

Icium Z allows Kyurem-B to use Subzero Slammer, and Teravolt is Kyurem-B's only ability and allows Kyurem-B to break past Pokemon with abilities like Levitate, Thick Fat, and Disguise, such as Rotom-W, Mega Venusaur, and Mimikyu. A Naughty nature gives Kyurem-B even more power behind its physical moves when paired with maximum Attack invesment investment; a Naive nature, on the other hand, allows it to Speed tie with Tapu Lele and Jolly Zygarde as well as outspeed Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Heatran. The Speed EVs are crucial for dealing with Pokemon slightly slower than Kyurem-B, like Landorus-T and Excadrill. If Speed tying with other the aforementioned Tapu Lele and Zygarde isn't needed, an alternative EV spread of 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe can be used to outspeed 252 Speed Landorus-T; Kyurem-B shouldn't run fewer Speed EVs than that.

Usage Tips
========

It's also important to be careful with Pokemon that generally run Protect, (AC) because they can waste Kyurem-B's Z-Move.

Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Tapu Koko appreciate Kyurem-B's ability to decimate Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Tangrowth, and Amoongus. Outrage is somewhat spammable thanks to its high Base Power and Kyurem-B's huge Attack stat. However, the presence of Fairy- and Steel-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Scizor makes it tougher to spam. Fusion Bolt acts as a reliable option to hit many Pokemon neutrally and deal with Pokemon like Tapu Fini or and Skarmory that can eat Outrage.

Set Details
========

Choice Band gives Kyurem-B even more power, and Teravolt helps when facing the likes of Mega Venusaur, Alolan Marowak, (AC) and Mimikyu.

Usage Tips

Other Options
=============

===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types are Kyurem-B's greatest enemies. They resist Kyurem-B's STAB combination and usually don't take too much damage from Fusion Bolt. Faster Steel-types like Jolly Exadrill Excadrill and Timid Heatran are also troublesome if Kyurem-B is not running a Speed-increasing nature. However, Pokemon like Heatran, Magearna, and Magnezone must watch out for Earth Power, and Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn must be be careful of Hidden Power Fire.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Clefable are immune to Kyurem-B's Outrage, which prevents it from switching out until its rampage (not really, it just ends its rampage on the spot) is over and gives them an opportunity to knock it out. However, most of them fall to Subzero Slammer, and they should watch out for Iron Head as well.

**Faster Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon with a super effective move to hit Kyurem-B can usually revenge kill Kyurem-B with some ease.
