Moves
========

Fire Blast is Salazzle's main STAB move, allowing it to beat Pokemon such as Durant, Bewear, and Registeel and hitting most Pokemon that don't resist it very hard. Sludge Wave allows Salazzle to hit some Pokemon that are able to take Fire Blast and Fairy-types, and it can be used if there's no need to risk a miss with Fire Blast. Hidden Power Ice allows Salazzle to KO Flygon and Noivern and 2HKO specially defensive Gligar. Toxic is used in tandem with Corrosion to cripple Pokemon that may try to switch into Salazzle such as Dragalge, Mantine, Cresselia, and Porygon2.

Set Details
========

Choice Scarf allows Salazzle to outspeed and revenge kill a lot of threats such as Flygon, Venusaur, Swellow, Noivern, and Cloyster. 252 EVs in Speed allow Salazzle to outspeed Pokemon such as +1 Flygon and +2 Naughty Cloyster, while 252 in Special Attack make Salazzle hit as hard as possible. A Timid nature is used to outspeed Modest Venusaur in the sun and +2 Naive Cloyster. Modest can be used on teams that don't need Salazzle to check Venusaur, since Modest Salazzle will still outspeed +1 positive-natured base 100 Speed Pokemon while ensuring the OHKO on Shaymin and Flygon and the 2HKO on Aerodactyl using Fire Blast after Stealth Rock damage. Corrosion allows Salazzle to use Toxic on Poison- and Steel-types, mainly Dragalge, which can take any of Salazzle's moves with ease.

Usage Tips
========

This Salazzle set should be used to revenge kill opposing Pokemon or clean a game once its checks are weakened enough. Thanks to its Speed and great STAB combination, Choice Scarf Salazzle can revenge kill a lot of Pokemon most other Choice Scarf users can't such as +1 Flygon, Venusaur in the sun, Choice Scarf Shaymin, and +2 Cloyster. Also, outside of a double Protect, Sharpedo won't be able to revenge kill Salazzle. While Salazzle can be brought in on resisted moves such as Comfey's Draining Kiss, usually it doesn't want to take unnecessary damage; it should only come in on a free switch or by slow U-turn. Using Toxic on predicted switches to Pokemon such as Porygon2, Cresselia, and Dragalge can be helpful not only for Salazzle but also for its teammates; however, it should be used carefully, since being locked into Toxic can be very bad sometimes.

Team Options
========

This set is useful on offensive or balanced teams that need a check for Pokemon such as Shell Smash Cloyster and Dragon Dance Flygon. Defog and Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Mantine, Gligar, and Dhelmise allows Salazzle to come in more often, and Gligar can provide a slow U-turn to bring in Salazzle safely. Pokemon that can set entry hazards such as Chesnaught and Registeel can be helpful, as they make Salazzle clean a game or revenge kill opposing Pokemon more easily. Zoroark can help by disguising itself as Salazzle, luring in Salazzle's checks, and limiting Salazzle's answers to help it clean in the game, while Salazzle can revenge kill the likes of Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Shaymin in return. Strong wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Bewear, Life Orb Shaymin, and Choice Specs Gardevoir can help weaken Salazzle's checks to give it an easier time cleaning the game, while Salazzle can help by weakening Registeel and Doublade, which can make it easier for its partners to spam their STAB moves.

Perks of running modest is that it still outspeeds +1 positive-natured base 100s and guarantees KOs on shaymin with fire blast, flygon with hp ice, and has the power to 2HKO aerodactyl with fire blast after stealth rock. Keep Timid as the first slash but if you don't have too many issues with sun then modest can be run instead. In Usage Tips focus on the fact that since Salazzle is so fast and has an excellent stab combo, slapping a scarf on it enables it to revenge kill things that most RU Scarfers cannot, such as +1 Flygon, Venusaur in sun, scarf shaymin, and +2 Cloyster. It also prevents sharpedo from revenge killing it outside of a double protect. Just these few minor things and it looks good.
