NU Rotom-C

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-C's amazing offensive typing and well-rounded stats make it one of the best offensive Pokemon in NU. Rotom-C is able to act as a great Defogger on offensive teams because of its immunity to Spikes, Stick Web, and Toxic Spikes combined its ability to safely use Defog against Stealth Rock setters such as Steelix and Seismitoad. Its Electric / Grass typing makes Rotom-C almost the perfect offensive pivot, since every Ground-type is greatly threatened by STAB Leaf Storm, which allows it to put huge pressure on any team. Its typing is good not only offensively but also defensively, providing Rotom-C with crucial resistances to Water and Electric; combined with a Ground immunity from Levitate, these enable Rotom-C to switch in on common Pokemon such as Slowbro and Steelix and easily grab momentum, which is amazing for any offensive team to have. However, Rotom-C's typing gives it some nasty weaknesses to common types such as Fire, Ice, and Bug, making it weak to common threats such as Emboar, Vikavolt, and Sneasel. It also faces competition from other Grass-types such as Sceptile and Whimsicott, which are both faster and have more coverage options than Rotom-C.

Moves
========

Leaf Storm with Grassium Z or Meadow Plate severely damages anything that doesn't resist it and OHKOes everything weak to it. Volt Switch generates momentum on defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and highly damages most Water-types. Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers such as Druddigon that might try and switch into Rotom-C. Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move, and the power difference is pretty noticeable; for example, Thunderbolt has a good chance to OHKO Braviary, while Volt Switch can't. Defog allows Rotom-C to clear entry hazards for its team. Pain Split is also an option because it gives Rotom-C at least some form of recovery.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment with a Modest nature allows Rotom-C to hit very hard while outspeeding Pokemon such as Guzzlord and Emboar. Alternatively, a Timid nature can be used to outspeed maximum Speed Vanilluxe and Samurott. Levitate gives Rotom-C a useful immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, and Ground-type moves. Grassium Z gives Rotom-C a powerful one-time Grass-type attack, while Meadow Plate can be used instead if your team already has another Z-Move user.

Usage Tips
========

Don't use Leaf Storm without a Z-Move if the enemy team has a Pokemon that can take advantage of that, such as Toxicroak or Vivillon. Bluffing Choice Scarf or Choice Specs is often beneficial so that when the opponent thinks Rotom-C is locked into an Electric-type move like Volt Switch against a Pokemon such as Rhydon or Seismitoad later in the match, you can KO it unsuspectingly. Volt Switch is still the move you want to be clicking most of the time to gain momentum, and it's a lot more spammable, since this set isn't locked into one move. Rotom-C is able to switch into passive Ground-types like Seismitoad, Steelix, and Rhydon relatively easily, as well as into Water-types like Slowbro and Slowking, so take advantage of these Pokemon as much as possible.

Team Options
========

Stealth Rock setters like Seismitoad, Steelix, and Rhydon can set up hazards to wear down Pokemon such as Druddigon and Vileplume so Rotom-C can handle them more easily late-game. Rotom-C appreciates wallbreakers such as Emboar and Zangoose that are able to weaken walls and offensive Pokemon so that Rotom-C can break through a team more easily. Checks to Grass-types, such as Emboar and Delphox, are able to use the free switches Rotom-C gives them with Volt Switch to punch holes in the enemy team. Pokemon that appreciate hazards being cleared, like Sneasel and Delphox, appreciate Rotom-C's ability to use Defog to clear entry hazards away.

Moves
========

Volt Switch keeps up momentum against the Pokemon Rotom-C checks, like Slowbro and Braviary. Leaf Storm still has respectable power even without Choice Specs or a Z-Crystal, doing over half to standard Steelix and OHKOing every other Ground-type in the metagame. Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move that notably has a good chance to OHKO Choice Scarf Braviary while Volt Switch does not. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Togedemaru by locking them into one move.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment makes Rotom-C as strong and as fast as possible, while a Timid nature allows it to outspeed Choice Scarf Braviary, Jolly Medicham and Toxicroak, and Choice Scarf Vanilluxe. Levitate gives Rotom-C an immunity to Spikes, Sticky Web, Toxic Spikes, and Ground-type moves. Choice Scarf allows Rotom-C to revenge kill Pokemon such as Braviary and Adamant Choice Scarf Hitmonlee.

Usage Tips
========

The move you want to click most of the time is Volt Switch because it gains momentum. With a Choice Scarf, Rotom-C is able to serve as a general revenge killer and has a good Speed tier. If you predict a Ground-type to switch in, use Leaf Storm, although Ground-types are already hesitant to switch into Rotom-C. Rotom-C can use its resistances and bulk to switch into relatively passive walls such as Slowbro, Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Steelix to fire off Leaf Storms. However, using Leaf Storm can be risky if the opponent has something that can take advantage of it, like Lilligant or Toxicroak, so be careful when using it.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard setters such as Garbodor, Rhydon, Froslass, and Steelix make for good teammates because of their ability to set up Stealth Rock and Spikes to wear down Rotom-C's defensive counters. Rotom-C is also able to check Xatu for Steelix and Garbodor. Entry hazard removers such as Golbat and Hitmonlee are also solid teammates because Rotom-C's ability to pivot is greatly hindered when Stealth Rock is on the field. Checks to Grass-types, like Emboar, Delphox, and Houndoom, can take advantage of passive walls like Vileplume to start breaking holes in the enemy team or setting up with Calm Mind or Nasty Plot. Rotom-C should be sent out against Pokemon that it can revenge kill, such as Choice Scarf Braviary and Slowbro, so that it can get momentum on whatever comes in.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Specs set has the advantage of hitting pretty hard, but it faces competition from Whimsicott and Sceptile because of Rotom-C's lower Speed tier. Psychium Z with Dream Eater can lure and heavily damage or KO Pokemon such as Virizion and Vileplume that are often used to check Rotom-C. A defensive set with Leftovers and Will-O-Wisp can be used as a more defensive answer to Water- and Grass-types like Slowbro and Sceptile, but it faces competition from other Grass-types like Vileplume, which has reliable recovery and a secondary Poison typing. Substitute can take advantage of the switches Rotom-C forces on Pokemon such as Slowbro and Jellicent. Rain Dance with Damp Rock is a good option on rain teams, as Rotom-C can check Water-types and hit them hard with STAB Thunder. Hidden Power Fire can be used to hit Togedemaru and Ferroseed, two of Rotom-C's hardest counters.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Vileplume, Ferroseed, Virizion, Sceptile, and Whimsicott are capable of switching into Rotom-C at least once and forcing it out. Vileplume is one of the most consistent counters to Rotom-C because of its reliable recovery and bulk. Virizion is similar with its excellent Special Defense, but it can be eventually whittled down by Volt Switch and takes massive damage from Hidden Power Flying. Sceptile and Whimsicott take a lot of damage from Leaf Storm and don't really accomplish anything when switching into Volt Switch, but once they're in they can threaten Rotom-C with a Choice Specs-boosted Focus Blast or Life Orb-boosted Moonblast. Ferroseed isn't capable of actually doing anything to Rotom-C, but it easily tanks all of Rotom-C's common moves and sets up Spikes on it.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Druddigon, Guzzlord, Turtonator, and Drampa are capable of consistently switching into Rotom-C throughout a match and dealing large amounts of damage in return. Druddigon can use the free turns Rotom-C gives it to set up Stealth Rock or to hit it hard with Outrage or Fire Punch; Druddigon can potentially be worn down through Spikes and Stealth Rock, however. Drampa in particular has Roost to heal off Volt Switch chip damage. Turtonator takes advantage of a Choice-locked Rotom-C to set up Shell Smash for a sweep, or it can just OHKO Rotom-C with Fire Blast. Guzzlord easily switches into all of Rotom-C's moves by virtue of its massive bulk and hits Rotom-C's team hard with a Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Delphox, Emboar, and Typhlosion can't switch into Thunderbolt or Volt Switch, but they can tank Leaf Storm and OHKO Rotom-C in return. Delphox turns a Rotom-C locked into Leaf Storm into Calm Mind setup fodder and punches holes in its team.

**Revenge Killers**: Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Vanilluxe, Sneasel, and Choice Scarf Braviary can revenge kill Rotom-C with their Ice-type STAB attacks or a strong Brave Bird. Braviary can't revenge kill Choice Scarf Rotom-C locked into Thunderbolt, but it can revenge kill one locked into Leaf Storm. Choice Scarf Vanilluxe can tank any hit and OHKO Rotom-C in return with Blizzard; Choice Scarf Rotom-C OHKOes Sneasel 50% of the time with Leaf Storm, but in any other scenario Sneasel OHKOes it first with Icicle Crash.

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Assault Vest Incineroar, Mega Audino, Sivally-Steel, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt can switch into Rotom-C pretty consistently over the course of a match and can either cripple it with Toxic or OHKO it with a STAB move.

  • Trick cripples defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Vikavolt by forcing them to be locked into one move.
- most Vikavolt's dont really mind a Choice Specs if they aren't Choice Specs already, and most Vikavolt that aren't Specs can't be tricked anyway due to Buginium Z. Remove this mention and replace Vikavolt with some other mon
- mention HP Fire somewhere in either OO or somewhere in Specs Moves
- mention the fact that Rotom-Mow can be incredibly tough to play around since it's extremely easy to bluff Choice Scarf with Grassium Z for example; guessing it's set is a difficult and risky game to play

good work, QC 2/3 after this

bitch im in the cut

in usage tips for scarf, stress that it can also server as a revenge killer and that it has a good speed tier for a scarfer

i'd add a mention in the C&C for various special walls that do well enough against it (toge, incineroar, etc.)

rest is great

Hey, I know this is in GP, but I personally think that HP Fire is better than HP Flying on this Pokemon. It retains most of the KOs that HP Flying nets, but it also nets a few over it, namely the following:

252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Mow Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Togedemaru: 148-176 (44.3 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 1 layer of Spikes
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Mow Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Ferroseed: 256-304 (87.9 - 104.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Mow Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 44 SpD Vikavolt: 204-240 (56.9 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Mow Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 158-188 (65.5 - 78%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The only really noteworthy KO that it misses out on is versus Virizion, but Virizion is generally a pretty easy to keep in check provided you have good teambuilding skills (not to mention HP Fire two-shots it with 1 Spike anyway) whereas HP Fire helps it circumvent three would-be defensive stops to Rotom-C that can very easily turn it into a bit of a liability—whether it be due to Vikavolt’s absurd firepower and ability to grab momentum, Toge’s ability to pass a (admittedly small) Wish to a teammate, or Ferro’s ability to use it for Spikes fodder—as well as preventing opposing Rotom-C using it to grab momentum of its own when it expects a TBolt/Leaf Storm/Trick to come out.

Moves

Volt Switch is a decently strong STAB move that gains momentum. It's very spammable against the Pokemon that it Rotom-C forces out, such as Jellicent and Samurott. Leaf Storm is an incredibly powerful STAB move that deals large damage to most of the metagame. It OHKOes Rhydon, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad while having a 50% chance to OHKO standard Steelix. Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move that has consistent damage and doesn't switch you Rotom-C out or drop your its Special Attack. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Togedemaru by forcing them to be locked into one move. Hidden Power Flying can be used instead to severely damage Grass-types such as Vileplume, Sceptile, and Virizion on the switch.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs makes make Rotom-C hit as hard and as fast as possible. A Timid nature allows Rotom-C to outspeed key threats such as Vanilluxe, Toxicroak, and Jolly Medicham. Levitate is the only ability Rotom-C gets and gives it a very useful immunity to Sticky Web, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes as well as a Ground immunity. Choice Specs turns Rotom-C into a powerful momentum gainer and wallbreaker.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-C's typing and ability allows allow it to switch in on a lot of defensive and offensive Pokemon Pokemon such as Steelix, Golbat, Slowbro, Gastrodon, Rhydon, and Seismitoad, so try and to take advantage of these Pokemon as much as you can. Volt Switch should be used most of the time unless you think they're your opponent is going to switch out into a Ground-type or another type of Electric immunity, in which case you would use Leaf Storm. You should be careful with using Leaf Storm because it can lead to a loss in momentum with a wrong prediction and drops Rotom's Special Attack by 2 stages, which means it can be turned into setup fodder by sweepers like Vivillon and Virizion. While Trick does cripple defensive Pokemon like Vileplume, it does make also makes them hit a lot harder, which can be detrimental if Rotom-C is on a frail offensive team that can't take the hits.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard setters like Steelix, Seismitoad, Garbodor, Froslass, and Rhydon can set up Stealth Rock or Spikes to pressure Grass- and Dragon-types like Vileplume and Druddigon, because you'll eventually chip them with Volt Switch to the point where they can't switch in anymore. Hazard removers like Golbat, Cryogonal, and Hitmonlee are also necessary because Rotom-C will repeatedly chipped of its health by Stealth Rock until it can't use its resistances properly. Grass-type checks such as Emboar, Braviary, and Houndoom can take advantage of Rotom-C's Volt Switch to be brought into a Grass-type such as Vileplume or Whimsicott to start breaking holes. In return, Rotom-C is able to check Pokemon such as Slowking, Slowbro, and Rhydon. Braviary in particular can form a Volt Turn VoltTurn core with Rotom-C to whittle down defensive and offensive teams alike.

Leaf Storm with Grassium Z severely damages anything that doesn't resist it and and OHKOes everything weak to it. Volt Switch generates momentum on defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and highly damages most Water-types. Will-O-Wisp cripples offensive Pokemon such as Druddigon that might try to revenge kill Rotom-C. Psychium Z with Dream Eater could also be used over Will-O-Wisp to allow Rotom-C to OHKO Poison-types such as Garbodor and Vileplume, as well as hitting Virizion for massive damage, which otherwise uses Rotom-C as setup fodder.

Maximum Speed and Special Attack with a Timid nature allows Rotom-C to hit hard and outspeed threats such as Vanilluxe and Adamant Hitmonlee. Levitate gives Rotom-C a useful immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, and Ground-type moves. Don't use Leaf Storm without a Z-Move if the enemy team has a Pokemon that can take advantage of that, such as Toxicroak or Vivillon. Hidden Power Fire can be used to hit Togedemaru, one of Rotom-C's hardest counters.

Checks and Counters

**Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Vileplume, Ferroseed, Virizion, Sceptile, and Whimsicott are capable of switching into Rotom-C at least once and force forcing it out. Guzzlord easily switches into all of Rotom-C's move virtue of its massive bulk and hits Rotom-C's team with a Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Delphox, Emboar, and Typhlosion can't switch into Thunderbolt or Volt Switch, but they can tank Leaf Storm and OHKO in return. Delphox turns a Rotom-C locked into Leaf Storm into Calm Mind setup fodder and punches holes in its team. Emboar and Typhlosion tank Leaf Storm pretty well and OHKO with Flare Blitz and Eruption, (AC) respectively.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Vanilluxe, Sneasel, and Choice Scarf Braviary can revenge kill Rotom-C with their Ice-type STAB attacks or a strong Brave Bird. Braviary can't revenge kill Choice Scarf Rotom-C locked into Thunderbolt, but it can revenge kill one locked into Leaf Storm. Choice Scarf Vanilluxe can tank any hit and OHKO in return with Blizzard; Choice Scarf Rotom-C Sneasel is OHKOed OHKOes Sneasel 50% of the time by Choice Scarf with Leaf Storm, (AC) but in any other scenario Sneasel OHKOes first with Icicle Crash.

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Assault Vest Incineroar, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt can switch into Rotom-C pretty consistently over the course of a match and can either cripple it with Toxic or OHKO it with a STAB move.

Usage Tips
========

========

Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move, and the power difference is pretty noticable; for example, Thunderbolt has a good chance to OHKO Braviary while Volt Switch can't.

Set Details

Maximum Speed and Special Attack with a Timid nature allows Rotom-C to hit hard and outspeed threats such as Vanilluxe and Adamant Hitmonlee. Levitate gives Rotom-C a useful immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, and Ground-type moves. Grassium Z gives Rotom-C a one-time Grass-type nuke, while Psychium Z can be used with Dream Eater to OHKO Garbodor and Vileplume.

Usage Tips
========

Don't use Leaf Storm without a Z-Move if the enemy team has a Pokemon that can take advantage of that, such as Toxicroak or Vivillon. Bluffing Choice Scarf or Specs is often beneficial so that when the opponent thinks you're Rotom-C is locked into an Electric-type like Volt Switch move on a Pokemon such as Rhydon or Seismitoad later in the match, you can KO them unsuspectingly. Volt Switch is still the move you want to be clicking most of the time to gain momentum, and since this set isn't locked into one move, (AC) it's a lot more spammable. Rotom-C is able to switch into passive Ground-types like Seismitoad, Steelix, and Gastrodon relatively easy easily, as well as into Water-types like Slowbro and Slowking, so take advantage of these Pokemon as much as possible.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard setters like Garbodor, Steelix, Froslass, and Rhydon can set up Stealth Rock and Spikes to wear down Pokemon such as Druddigon and Vileplume so Rotom-C can handle them more easily in the late-game. Checks to Grass-types, such as Emboar and Delphox, are able to use the free switches Rotom-C gives them with Volt Switch to punch holes in the enemy team. Stealth Rock being on the field hurts Rotom-C's ability to pivot, so entry hazard removers like Hitmonlee and Golbat are good teammates. Hitmonlee appreciates Rotom-C's ability to bring it in on a Volt Switch so that it can dent the opposing team with a High Jump Kick, while Golbat appreciates Rotom-C's ability to check Rhydon, Steelix, and Xatu (RC) and can also form a Volt-Turn core with Rotom-C.

Moves

Volt Switch keeps up momentum on the Pokemon Rotom-C checks, like Slowbro and Braviary. Leaf Storm still has respectable power even without Choice Specs or a Z-Move Z-Crystal, doing over half to standard Steelix and OHKOing every other Ground-type in the metagame. Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move that notably has a good chance to OHKO Choice Scarf Braviary while Volt Switch does not. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Togedemaru by locking them into one move.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack makes Rotom-C as strong and as fast as possible, while a Timid nature allows it to outspeed Choice Scarf Braviary and Choice Scarf Vanilluxe. Levitate gives Rotom-C an immunity to Spikes, Sticky Web, Toxic Spikes, and Ground-type moves. Choice Scarf allows Rotom-C to revenge kill Pokemon such as Braviary and Adamant Choice Scarf Hitmonlee.

Usage Tips
========

This set plays similarly to the Choice Specs set, in that the move you want to click most of the time is Volt Switch. With a Choice Scarf, Rotom-C is able to serve as a general revenge killer and has a good Speed tier. If predicting a Ground-type to come in, use Leaf Storm, although most Ground-types are greatly threatened by STAB Leaf Storm. (not sure if i understand the train of thought here) Rotom-C can use its resistances and bulk to switch into relatively passive walls such as Slowbro, Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Steelix to fire off Leaf Storms. However, using Leaf Storm can be risky if the opponent has something that can seriously take advantage of it, like Lilligant or Toxicroak, so be careful when using it.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard removers such as Golbat and Hitmonlee are also solid teammates because Rotom-C's ability to pivot is greatly hindered when Stealth Rock is in the field. Checks to Grass-types like Emboar, Delphox, and Houndoom can take advantage of passive walls like Vileplume to start breaking holes in the enemy team with Calm Mind and Nasty Plot. Rotom-C should be sent out against Pokemon that it can revenge kill, such as Choice Scarf Braviary and Slowbro, (AC) so that it can get momentum on whatever comes in.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A defensive set with Leftovers and Will-O-Wisp can be used to be as a more defensive answer to Water- and Grass-types like Slowbro and Sceptile, (AC) but it faces competition from other Grass-types like Vileplume, which has reliable recovery and a secondary Poison typing. (RH) Substitute can take advantage of the forces switches Rotom-C switches forces on Pokemon such as Slowbro and Jellicent. Rain Dance with Damp Rock is a good option on rain teams, as Rotom-C can check Water-types and hit them hard with STAB Thunder. Hidden Power Fire can be used to hit Togedemaru, one of Rotom-C's hardest counters.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Vileplume, Ferroseed, Virizion, Sceptile, and Whimsicott are capable of switching into Rotom-C at least once and force forcing it out. Vileplume is one of the most consistent counters to Rotom-C because of its reliable recovery and bulk, but it is 2HKOed by a potential Choice Specs-boosted Hidden Power Flying. Virizion is similar with its excellent Special Defense, but it can be eventually whittled by Volt Switch and takes massive damage from Hidden Power Flying. Sceptile and Whimsicott take a lot of damage from Leaf Storm and don't really accomplish anything when switching into Volt Switch, but once they're in they can threaten Rotom-C with a Choice Specs-boosted Focus Blast or Pixie Plate Moonblast. Ferroseed isn't capable of actually doing anything to Rotom-C, (AC) but it easily tanks all of Rotom-C's common moves and lays up Spikes on it.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Druddigon, Guzzlord, Turtonator, and Drampa are capable of consistently switching into Rotom-C throughout a match and dealing large damage in return. Druddigon can use the free turns Rotom-C gives it to set up Stealth Rock or to hit it hard with Outrage or Fire Punch. Drampa in particular has Roost to heal off Volt Switch chip damage; Druddigon can potentially be worn down through Spikes and Stealth Rock, however. Turtonator takes advantage of a Choice-locked (AH) Rotom-C to set up Shell Smash for a sweep, or it can just OHKO with Fire Blast.

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-C's amazing offensive typing and well-rounded stats make it one of the best Pokemon in NU. Its Grass / Electric / Grass typing makes Rotom-C almost the perfect offensive pivot, since every Ground-type is greatly threatened by STAB Leaf Storm, which allows it to put huge pressure on any team. Its typing is good not only offensively but also defensively, providing Rotom-C with crucial resistances to Water and Electric; combined with a Ground immunity from Levitate, this enables these enable Rotom-C to switch in on common Pokemon such as Slowbro and Steelix and easily grab momentum, which is amazing for any offensive team to have. Its Speed tier is good too, letting it outspeed key threats such as Vanilluxe, Samurott, and Emboar. Thus, Rotom-C finds itself on a large number of teams as a premier pivot. (maybe combine this with the first sentence?) However, Rotom-C's typing gives it some nasty weaknesses to common types such as Fire, Ice, and Bug, making it weak to common threats such as Emboar, Vikavolt, and Sneasel. It also faces competition from other Grass-types such as Sceptile and Whimsicott, which are both faster and have more coverage options than Rotom-C.

Volt Switch is a decently strong STAB move that gains momentum for Rotom-C's team. It's very spammable against the Pokemon that Rotom-C forces out, such as Jellicent and Samurott. Leaf Storm is an incredibly powerful STAB move that deals large damage to most of the metagame. It OHKOes Rhydon, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad while having and has a 50% chance to OHKO standard Steelix. (original construction reads oddly to me) Thunderbolt is a stronger Electric-type STAB move that has deals consistent damage and doesn't switch Rotom-C out or drop its Special Attack. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Togedemaru by forcing them to be locked locking them into one move. Hidden Power Flying can be used instead to severely damage Grass-types such as Vileplume, Sceptile, and Virizion on the switch.

  • Mowtom's main niche in nu is as an offensive fogger so it'd be cool to see the defog mention either first or second with a bit more emphasis on how destructive it is because of its great matchup vs just about every rocker minus drud
Set Details (Defog)
  • Wisp should be slashed before tbolt imo. It is generally more useful for crippling drud on the switch
Usage tips
  • There needs to be a tip on how to use this mon as a defogger. not everybody, newer users especially, don't get that you create free turns for yourself to defog on by threatening pokemon out with your offensive presence.
  • Don't mention Pokemon like Gastrodon they're baddies. Use relevant bulky grounds aka Rhydon, Piloswine, Seismitoad, etc.
  • Remove the tip on not letting it get worn down it's kind of intuitive imo. every mon struggles to do its job at lower health
Team Options
  • 1) entry hazard support helps every mon and 2) don't recommend using a spiker alongside a defogger lol
  • this section needs fleshed out way more. talk about mons that like having that awesome defog support or stuff that can set up for mowtom to break walls. ik you know there's more to a team than what you have written here.

Set Details

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment with a Modest nature allows Rotom-C to hit very hard while outspeeding Pokemon such as Guzzlord and Emboar. Alternatively, a Timid nature can be used to outspeed maximum Speed Vanilluxe and Samurott. Levitate gives Rotom-C a useful immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, and Ground-type moves. Grassium Z gives Rotom-C a one-time powerful Grass-type nuke attack, while Meadow Plate can be used instead if your team already has another Z-Move user.

========

Stealth Rock setters like Seismitoad, Steelix, and Rhydon can set up hazards to wear down Pokemon such as Druddigon and Vileplume so Rotom-C can handle them more easily in the late-game.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

Checks to Grass-types, (AC) like Emboar, Delphox, and Houndoom, (AC) can take advantage of passive walls like Vileplume to start breaking holes in the enemy team or setting up with Calm Mind or Nasty Plot. Rotom-C should be sent out against Pokemon that it can revenge kill, such as Choice Scarf Braviary and Slowbro, so that it can get momentum on whatever comes in.

Other Options
=============

===================
