This looks like a time for Marcia's debut!
Let's start things off with a Yawn. Then she will attack with an AncientPower, followed by a Flamthrower. If he uses Protect on Yawn, just push all of the actions back one |
Use Agility to counter the effects of Yawn, if you move enough, you wont get tired by it; it'll also serve as a warmup for the match. Use a Technician boosted Wing Attack and follow up with X-Scissor.

Welcome to the Indigo Plateau, where strong trainers often face off in a showdown. Today, we have a Scyther and a... Togepi. o.o Ares starts the round for us, stretching his muscles out and zooming around the plateau in an impressive show of agility. Togepi Yawns loudly at Ares, who becomes slightly drowsy, but the drowsiness is negated by the warm-up... for now. Valiantly fighting off sleep, Ares goes on the offensive, dealing much damage to Marcia with a powerful Wing Attack. Marcia retaliates by shining an ancient light from the earth at Ares, who takes some damage. Taking the hit in stride, Ares attacks again by slashing his powerful arms in a diagonal X, which also deals a bit of damage. Marcia, who looks a bit hurt, manages to get another attack off, frying the mantis with a powerful Flamethrower. Ares seems to be finally feeling the effects of drowsiness, pausing every so often to yawn loudly himself. He starts the round off for us by slamming into Marcia with a powerful Wing Attack, dealing much damage. Marcia, who is blissfully unaffected by yawning, counters with another AncientPower. The light from the orb deals significant damage, and it also raises all of Marcia's stats by one stage! Horrorstruck, Ares can only continue his assault, slashing his wings downwards and dealing more damage. Marcia (now with confidence!) roasts Ares again with a jet of flames, which also have the side effect of inflicting a 1st Degree Burn! Ares ends the round with another Wing Attack while Marcia uses AncientPower once more; luckily for the mantis, there is no side effect. It seems that Marcia's luck is ridiculous, as it raises all of her stats by another stage! As Ares still sleeps, Marcia finishes the round with a powerful Flamethrower, roasting the mantis's wings for the third time. Ares finally wakes up, exhausted and nearly unconscious.
