ShinySkarmory surveyed the field, confident that his pokemon will come out on top. Looking at the field, he immediately saw that Kirlia and Privatyke could be in trouble, due to their respective matchups.
Mentalist, start by using Will-o-Wisp to nerf that Roggenrola's Attack stat! I don't want him to hit you hard with Heavy Slam all match! Then, use Magical Leaf for a guaranteed super effective hit. Finish with Psychic. Blackbeard, I'm worried a bit about your matchup as well. That Elygem's Trick Room and Disable are going to be hard to get around, so start by making it a little harder on him by using Smokescreen. Then, while he's trying to find you through the smoke (or not, IDK), use Wrap to grab on to him. While you're holding him, Arm Thrust him with your other hand! Goku, this matchup is going to be like fighting yourself! Start by emphasizing what I hope will be our advantage in this match by using Work Up to boost your offenses. Then, use KAMEHAME-- Focus Blast. Finish with a Force Palm. If he tries to High Jump Kick you, use Double Team (3) first! Kirlia: Will-o-Wisp->Magical Leaf->Psychic Privatyke: Smokescreen->Wrap (with one hand)->Arm Thrust (with your other hand) Goku: Work Up->Focus Blast->Force Palm IF he tries to HJK, replace that action with Double Team (3), unless you already have clones. |
The match-ups are appearing to be in L's favor, though snikering from Mentalist starts to give Amethyst the shivers. After calming her down, L starts barking out sudden orders.
Ok, Amethyst, let's get this battle on the roll! She's starting to burn you, that's not good, so let's boost our Special Defence with Sandstorm! Once you do that, let's pressure her from dancing and intensify Gravity. Finally, to wrap this round up, let's blast her with Rock Blast! Dexter, I knew your psychic bossness would help you get a good match-up. Obviously, Blackbeard's not experienced in facing Psychic types and understands they're not effected harshly by hazes and smoke. Oh well, let's make sure he never forgets! First Trick Room, so we have the upper match for teh beginning of the match! After that, launch a Psybeam+Energy Ball Combo (Psybeam accelerates the Energy Ball to have more knock-back, I like to believe), and cool down as he decides to give us a spanking. That doesn't mean this match will be mundane, no, this will certainly be an exciting one as the ASB Tournament Arena gets flooded with Pokemon that are ready to battle! Mr.L releases Amethyst the Roggenrola to face off against shinyskarmory's Mentalist the Kirlia! Then Mr. L sends out Dexter the Elgyem to square off with Blackbeard the Privatyke and Auron the Riolu to face off against shinyskarmory's Riolu, Goku! Wow, it's a crowded field, so let's hope these Pokemon can keep the action within their respective bouts! Goku starts off the match by Working Up some energy for the fight ahead! Its opponent Auron takes the opportunity to create a Substitute for itself, while off to the other side of the field, Mentalist hits Amethyst with a nasty Will-o-Wisp! In the middle battle, Blackbeard nails Dexter with a Smokescreen while Amethyst whips up a Sandstorm that envelops the whole field! Not missing a beat, Dexter then whips up a crazy Trick Room that twists the dimensions for everybody! Now, bizarrely, Amethyst moves first and makes the air heavy with Gravity! Blackbeard rushes up to Dexter, then, and Wraps it up tight, and with just one arm! Mentalist connects with a Magical Leaf against Amethyst, while Goku shatters Auron's Substitute with a Focus Blast! Then, Dexter, all wrapped up, hits the close-by Privatyke with an Energy Beam for great damage before Auron, to the side, responds to Goku's terrifying blast with a Circle Throw that knocks the steam out of Goku! Amethyst finally goes on the offensive with a Rock Blast on Mentalist, just before Blackbeard hits with a flurry of Arm Thrusts that only do minimal damage to Dexter! Mentalist won't take that attack sitting down and connects with a Psychic attack on Amethyst! Finally, the Riolu match heats up as Goku hits Auron with a Force Palm but sees too late that Auron was prepared for the blow with a Counter-attack! ShinySkarmory looked across the field, struggling to see through the raging sandstorm. He noticed that his faster pokemon were moving much slower then normal. This called for deeper strategy.
Mentalist, you're doing fine. Start by trolling the opposition by using your own Trick Room to put our pokemon ahead again. Then, use a combo of Psychic and Magical Leaf! (intended effect: using psychic to accelerate the leaves to a higher speed, thus dealing more damage.) Privatyke, he's going to disable Arm Thrust no matter what we do, so let's take the advantage by pounding him with a FAAALLLLCOOONNNN---- Focus Punch+Drain Punch combo! He won't be able to stop you from hitting him! You'll let go of him during the cooldown, so just hit him with an Ice Punch after the combo ends. Counter? How little you know. Goku, while he's getting his little dolly up, use Double Team (4) to make it next to impossible for him to hit you this round. Then, Focus Blast again to break his substitute. As the burns and sands chip away at the competitor's health, Goku performs a neat Quick Force maneuver that brings Auron to the brink of collapse, but the little Riolu holds on and Counters the blow, leaving Goku on the brink of collapse! Mentalist and Amethyst exchange blows again while Blackbeard sets up a 15 HP Substitute only to have it destroyed instantly by Dexter! Now the sandstorm is really taking its toll, and those tiny bits of health being stripped away matter so much! Goku has to cool down from that combo, so Auron takes the opportunity for a Hi Jump Kick that KOs Goku! Wow! Mentalist and Amethyst continue to beat on each other, while Blackbeard manages to flinch Dexter with a Waterfall! Now, the sands are sweeping and chipping away health and poor Auron gets overwhelmed by fatigue and the whipping forces of the sand, causing it to faint!
