Pokécléctic - Perth Pokemon Meetups

Edit: The next event is a Multi-Battle tournament on the 12th of May. $5 entry which goes into the kitty for the winning pair and runner-up team.

Of all the places in the world, Western Australia has a highly active Pokemon community. Formed out of the die-hards who couldn't handle the fact that the 2007 Connection Tour had finished, Pokécléctic is well into its fifth year. We tend to meet up every two to three weeks on Saturday mornings.

There's something for everyone at the meetups. Chill out and relax with other trainers, or fight for Big Prizes at the increasingly regular tournaments. The last tournament (VGC 2012) had a $100 prize for first place and $50 for second. Our members range from players fresh to the competitive scene with BW, to oldguard who have been at it since RBY. We're not overly competitive, there are no egos to bruise here, so don't be afraid to rock up and have fun!

With VGC going worldwide, and whispers of a tournament coming to Australia, we've gotten right into training for this new format. This doesn't mean we've forgotten our roots though, and 3v3 Flat Battle is still very popular. Don't worry if you don't have an actual team, legitimate but hacked Pokemon are allowed, and any of our members will be more than happy to cook up a team for you. The VGC 2012 format is still rapidly evolving..could you be the one who solves it?

The usual venue is the one40william food court, with occasional sojourns to Tactics for some TCG. Tactics have also graciously allowed us to run our tournaments there. When anything happens, I'll post it up here..if I remember ._.

To bad there's nothing in Brisbane -_- from what I know

We get people from all over Australia popping in, so make a post and have a look around. Would be good to get chapters going in each state!

Oh damn, I was browsing Smogon for VGC2012 stuff and suddenly remembered this thread. Have updated with the details for the upcoming tournament..sorry if anyone missed the last one because of me.
