Speed Tiers Update Thread
So, instead of people posting new threads every time they want to make a change to an existing entry in the speed tiers articles, you can post them in this thread. This thread is only for speed tier articles that are ON-SITE, those that are on the forums can have changes posted in their respective thread.
If you are going to suggest an addition, submit it in the following format: Code:
Speed / Pokemon / Base Speed / Nature (+Spe, -Spe, or Neutral) / EV Investment / BoostFor any additions or deletions, provide some justification for it, and post in the above format so it can be added. For deletions, just state the Pokemon and what speed tier it lies in along with a reason for its removal. Remember to post the tier you are suggesting this change for at the top of your post. Thank You. |
This is for the Ubers speed tiers. I noticed that Blaziken isn't anywhere on the tier list, even though it is a significant threat. It's sitting at around 8.5% usage in the Uber tier, so I think it's worth a mention.
284 / Blaziken / 80 / +Spe / 252 / 0 426 / Blaziken / 80 / +Spe / 252 / 1 568 / Blaziken / 80 / +Spe / 252 / 2 I figure that after +2, trying to outspeed Blaziken without priority is a lost cause. |
Thanks, I added those in.

These are both for OU.
Deoxys-S (Tier 1, 504 and 500) should probably be removed since it's banned. As far as I'm aware, Bulk Up is Breloom's most common set in the current meta since it can break the Scizor/Rotom-W core, and unlike the 24 Spe spread already on the list, it runs enough to outspeed defensive Heatran, so I think it deserves to be onsite. 191 / Breloom / 70 / Neutral / 60 / 0 |
OU Haxorus:
Currently on-site: 483 / Haxorus / 97 / +Spe / 252 / 1 427 / Haxorus / 97 / Neutral / 220 / 1 285 / Haxorus / 97 / Neutral / 220 / 0 Most common sets for the month of December (format is "set title: final speed (# of usages)"): (usages only include people with a PO rating of 1100 or more as of Dec 31)
...
Therefore, the site should add: 439 / Haxorus / 97 / Neutral / 252 / 1 293 / Haxorus / 97 / Neutral / 252 / 0 Not really my call on whether to remove the other spreads, though (and i have a bit of code that lets me spit this out for every pokemon in OU, so more are coming :D) (I'll take requests too!) |
More stuff, double posting so it isn't missed, cause i see that Haxxy has been updated :D
EDIT: Also, there's a typo in "Whimsicott" on-site === OU Rotom-W: 447 / Rotom-A / 86 / +Spe / 252 / 1 298 / Rotom-A / 86 / +Spe / 252 / 0 244 / Rotom-A / 86 / Neutral / 144 / 0 Most common uses:
...
Add: 406 / Rotom-A / 86 / Neutral / 252 / 1 208 / Rotom-A / 86 / Neutral / 0 / 0 271 / Rotom-A / 86 / Neutral / 252 / 0 === OU Jirachi: 492 / Jirachi / 100 / +Spe / 252 / 1 448 / Jirachi / 100 / Neutral / 252 / 1 328 / Jirachi / 100 / +Spe / 252 / 0 308 / Jirachi / 100 / +Spe / 176 / 0 299 / Jirachi / 100 / Neutral / 252 / 0 244 / Jirachi / 100 / Neutral / 32 / 0 Most common uses:
...
Add: 236 / Jirachi / 100 / Neutral / 0 / 0 212 / Jirachi / 100 / -Spe / 0 / 0 (maybe?) Remove: 308 / Jirachi / 100 / +Spe / 176 / 0 299 / Jirachi / 100 / Neutral / 252 / 0 === OU Heatran: 417 / Heatran / 77 / +Spe / 252 / 1 278 / Heatran / 77 / +Spe / 252 / 0 253 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 252 / 0 245 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 220 / 0 230 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 160 / 0 190 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 0 / 0 Most common uses:
...
Add: 379 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 252 / 1 Remove: 245 / Heatran / 77 / Neutral / 220 / 0 |
You know, the Ubers Speed Tiers were done so early in BW that a lot of the stuff in there are hardly relevant. I'm planning to just revamp them anyway. Is that okay with everyone else?
|
Okay, sorry for the double post, but I think I've gathered up everything we need for the Ubers Speed Tiers. I'll see if I can highlight the additions/removals in here later, but here are the new speed tiers:
Tier 0 (Choice Scarf users and >=180 Base Speed)
...
Tier 1 (130<=Base Speed<180)
...
Tier 2 (100<=Base Speed<130)
...
Tier 3 (70<=Base Speed<100)
...
Tier 4 (Base Speed < 70)
...

made the above changes

ok so we had a discussion on IRC about some updates to this, and I wrote down notes from the discussion, here they are c/ped directly from my notepad file:
...
Now obviously I don't remember what I was writing about so if someone who actually plays OU (is good at it I mean >_>) sees an obvious mistake in these speak up (this is why I'm posting them here rather than just uploading them myself) 475 / Sharpedo / 95 / +Spe / 252 / +1 524 / Cloyster / 70 / +Spe / 252 / +2 375 / Tornadus-T / 121 / +Spe / 252 / +0 309 / Landorus-T / 91 / +Spe / 252 / +0 ctrl + f for Landorus mentions and add in Thundurus-T wherever it is 618 / Landorus-T / 91 / +Spe / 252 / +2 562 / Landorus-T / 91 / Neutral / 252 / +2 Add Deoxys-D to the +1 +nature base 90s and +nature 90s. 525 / Gengar / 110 / +Spe / 252 / +1 492 / Victini / 100 / +Spe / 252 / +1 328 / Victini / 100 / +Spe / 252 / +0 218 / Victini / 100 / +Spe / 252 / -1 184 / Victini / 100 / -Spe / 0,0 IV / +0 122 / Victini / 100 / -Spe / 0,0 IV / -1 181 / Wobbuffet / 33 / +Spe / 252 / +0 493 / Raikou / 115 / Neutral / 252 / +1 96 / Amoongus / 30 / Neutral / 0 / +0 558 / Lilligant / 90 / Neutral / 252 / +2 612 / Lilligant / 90 / +Spe / 252 / +2 346 / Keldeo / 108 / +Spe / 252 / +0 315 / Keldeo / 108 / +Spe / 252 / +0 306 / Zangoose / 90 / +Spe / 252 / +0 Not really sure what to do with Gliscor x_x |
Quote:
- Gengar shouldn't get to +1 - Victini shouldn't use a -Spe Nature - Why is Keldeo mention twice with +ve nature lol |
Lando-T with a +Spe nature gives it enough speed to outpace +Spe base 90s, so its worth it. Wobba can use a faster spread to Encore slower oppos such as Skarmory and Bliss
Gengar has +1 because its main item should be a Choice Scarf, so its mentioned on there with a +1 Victini is -Spe for a Trick Room set(its viable) Keldeo is wrong tho, one should be Neural, the other +Spe |
Okay, since BW2's been released, there are a few things that need to be added onto the Ubers Speed Tiers:

changes made.

so I go to look at the ou speed tiers and see the dominant 'mon of the tier missing.
I got a few others as well, it's not updated for BW2 it seems. Speed / Pokemon / Base Speed / Nature (+Spe, -Spe, or Neutral) / EV Investment / Boost 297 / Genesect / 99 / Neutral / 252 / 0 326 / Genesect / 99 / +Spe / 252 / 0 489 / Genesect / 99 / +Spe / 252 / 1 594 / Genesect / 99 / Neutral / 252 / 2 652 / Genesect / 99 / +Spe / 252 / 2 375 / Tornadus-T / 121 / +Spe / 252 / 0 309 / Landorus-T / 91 / +Spe / 252 / 0 281 / Landorus-T / 91 / Neutral / 252 / 0 411 / Landorus-T / 91 / +Spe / 224 / 1 562 / Landorus-T / 91 / Neutral / 252 / 2 246 / Keldeo / 108 / +Spe / 252 / 0 369 / Keldeo / 108 / +Spe / 252 / 1 331 / Thundurus-T / 101 / +Spe / 252 / 0 496 / Thundurus-T / 101 / +Spe / 252 / 1 602 / Thundurus-T / 101 / Neutral / 252 / 2 662 / Thundurus-T / 101 / +Spe / 252 / 2 that should do it |
528 / Venusaur / 80 / +Spe / 180 / 2
Man, what a necrobump, but this is a very important Venusaur benchmark, which is really popular now for outspeeding the ubiquitous Scarf Terrakion, as well as Scarf Lati@s. It's the EV spread which is being put on-site in TNT's Venusaur BW2 revamp. This set does include the -1 drop in Spe for using HP Fire; EQ or HP Ice Timid Venusaur can run 176 Spe. |
