This place...These opponents...Let's show 'em why we won this title in the first place...

Capers: Sandstorm > U-Turn (Sethim) > Earthquake (Synchronise yours with Utilitand!)

Utilitand: Light Screen > Gravity > Earthquake (Synchronise yours with Capers!)

Utilitand the Fidgit

Capers the Gliscor

Togekiss
Cyclohm

Sand veil is essentially nullified by your own gravity, does not matter.
Gliscor switched out and there is no switchphase. I thought that was implied enough not to be stated.
I never said togekiss got overcoat protection, and Cyclohm does get no sandstorm damage due to overcoat.
The Light screen change is kinda nice, didn't know that happened.
All should be fixed

Its_A_Random Feb 26th, 2012 11:57:39 PM

Nitpicks! (Sorry, had to be done)

I'll hold off making actions until these are fixed, if at all.

Its_A_Random Feb 27th, 2012 10:18:33 PM

Apologies for double posting, but now that everything's fixed, I'll issue actions, & for emphasis that I've issued actions, I'll start a new post here.

Thanks to U-Turn Capers switches out, & Sleast comes in!

Sleast @ Expert Belt

Now Sleast, Utilitand, time to pounce!

Sleast: Earth Power (Karamazov) > Earth Power (Karamazov) > Earth Power (Karamazov)
IF Karamazov uses Bide A1, AND Karamazov is still alive come your second action, THEN replace A2 with Substitute (15 HP)
IF Karamazov faints, THEN replace all remaining actions with Rock Tomb (Sethim)

Utilitand: Earth Power (Karamazov) > Earth Power (Karamazov) > Earth Power (Karamazov)
IF Karamazov uses Bide A1, AND Karamazov is still alive at the end of A2, THEN replace A3 with Substitute (15 HP). This substitution supersedes all other subs.
(Once Only) IF Sethim uses Protect (Karamazov), THEN replace that action with Taunt (Sethim), (Do take note that transferred Protects have 0 Priority)
IF Karamazov faints, THEN replace all remaining actions with Low Sweep (Sethim)

The Wanderer Feb 27th, 2012 10:48:47 PM

Well, this isn't good...no matter, we can still take at least one of these guys down!

And you should totally ref this now, Quags. 11 days is 11 days...

deadfox081 Mar 18th, 2012 7:58:25 AM

Okay we all figured out Illusion so I'm going to save us all some time and reveal Zoroark now. Also Quag's format is messy and near impossible to follow so while I think I got all the weather/effects/stats right do tell me if I missed something.

SAND (2 Rounds)
GRAVITY (3 Rounds)

This match was like an updating score ticker until now, but with a change of commentator comes full play by play coverage!

Utilitand kicks us off by quickly refreshing that Light Screen to protect he and his team mates from nasty Special attacks. Its a good thing too as Sethim and the frankly quite poorly disguised Auroch the Zoroark both fire off psychic bursts that trigger Fidgit's worst memories and hit right on a weakness. Man its a good thing he's a Prankster and got that screen up first. Sleast now acts to ensure that his mates speed advantage is on all moves this round with a Rock Tomb on the speedy trickster. What a great show of team work and while the damage may have been a secondary concern the Dark type's frail defences make even this weak attack look half decent.

With a fresh speed advantage Utilitand ducks underground as soon as he can. Clearly this act gets the better of The Wanderer and his Pokemon as both of them aim otherwise powerful attacks at the clearly untargetable Fidgit. Sleast punishes their mistake by Surfing some mud into the pair of them which between STAB and Sand Force hits quite hard despite the move being neutral. As swiftly as he disappeared Utilitand bursts forth from underground and crashes into Sethim.

Action 3 is largely a carbon copy of the middle of the round as Fidgit accepts the award for trolliest of Pokemon and once again survives by the skin of his teeth by avoiding another pair of Extrasensory assaults. Sleast shoots another jet of water at Sethim but as this one is from an internal source (eww backwash) it remains mud-less. The Brine does however contain an awful lot of salt which stings Togekiss' existing wounds. Utilitand once again emerges with his Dig attack at the Gravity effected Flying type and the move proves just enough to knock Sethim out of this match! IAR goes up 2-0 as it looks like the Mock Gym is off to a grand start.

SAND (1 Round)
GRAVITY (2 Rounds)

Setting up for the inevitable end, Random switches in his trusty Camerupt; Tormeldon. Fearing something horrible upcoming Auroch tries to trick the opponents with another Illusion, but unfortunately the move is all but useless. It does nothing to prevent Sleast and Tormeldon to unlease synchronised Earthquakes that hit both opponents quite hard. Even with a critical on Auroch to round it all out. Rico then finishes off with one hell of a Blast of Aura. Unforauntely with the screen still up the damage is quite muted and frankly a waste of energy.

Auroch tries his best to annoy Camerupt with moves that just might flinch him but an Extrasensory assault while Rico cools down fails to do so. In the mean time a pair of Earth Powers from the Ground types bring Rico down to the brink almost as soon as he hit the field.

As a last ditch attempt Auroch again attempts a flinch with a Dark Pulse... and just misses out. Rico's Aura Sphere fails to leave much of a dent and IAR finishes this off with yet another SynchroQuake. One might think we see a bit of that in the real gym battles...

Thanks for reffing Quagsires & deadfox, much appreciated.

Time to claim, & make some changes before officially launching the Ground Type Gym...
