Pokemon Showdown! Gym and Elite 4!

Now, I know that everybody assumes that Gyms are dumb and lame, but I feel that this is a bit different. It is more focused on tiers.
This system is a challenge because to win, you must be sufficient in almost every tier. It will be a DIFFICULT challenge. Let's remember what pokemon is about, FUN!
So here is how the gyms will be a-going!


Now, I was thinking that the Gyms would be tier and Bi-Type based.
Leaders can sign up in a reply to this thread.

GYM 3 - UU (Sinister Act)
GYM 4 - OU
GYM 5 - WATER (Gym Leader Juan)

Leader 1 - Fire/Dragon
Leader 2 - Psychic/Fighting
Leader 3 - Ghost / Steel (Shauntal)
Leader 4 - Little Cup Open

(Now, I added Little Cup, to ensure that you are ready. That you can do anything.)

NOTES:
Follow all smogon bans, tiers, hacks, and respect rules apply. Sec. 1 Art. 6
MUST have secret passwords to advance to the next leader. (Closet)

Can I just say something? I do totally like this, but is there anyway we can have some weaker gyms, or something? It seems to me you have to be a pro at the start, and I think a gym league should be viable for really anyone. But, this sounds really awesome :D!
I'd like to become a gym leader, but I suck in everything :P

But why 4 gyms? Do it with 8 gyms like in the anime/games...
Apart from the number of gyms, I think it's a great idea.

Thanks for your support and input. I have an idea that puts all of your together! We make you gym leader, and since you said you're not good, it's not as hard. And you said your self you want to be one!

The only problem is, are we gonna have enough leaders?
If we do, and people still want to be leaders, we will ad 4 more.
If you want to be a leader message Sinister Act (me) and I'll try you out.

Oh, and if this is approved I WILL BE THE GHOST ONE!

Wow. I appreciate that, plus, don't we also encorporate more gyms? Like, have four "easier Gyms", and four "harder" gyms. oh, and Also, I want to add a little input:
A) the 2000 limit, is TOO DAMN HIGH! that's like, the 1% population of PS! :p Also, you could be able to find more gym leaders!
B) Don't make the gyms that different in difficulty, because that might screw some people up.
And C), if you make me a gym leader, I'd like to be RU :D

Hm... I feel like we need to keep eight gyms. if we lower the qualifications a bit, by not just basing it on ranking, (due to the fact the ladder is messed up) and judge a person's qualifications by a combonation of rank, team, and just general skill.

Also, can you change me to RU, please? and possibly, forget the type restrictions. You're already restricting by tier, so no need for the typings.

And I'd also like to add, I suggest on PS!, we create passwords (don't say them on here,) so that people can pass on to the next gym/E4. I feel like this definitely a good start, and has some parts complete, but it's gonna have to be edited and made pretty damn perfect >:D

EDIT: Me and HardyHoundoom (Sinister Act) have just come up with an awesome Idea: Four TIER gyms,a nd Four TYPING gyms!!!

Pretty cool, If I could stand using dark types in NU, I would apply...But its already taken....

So instead of NUgget Bridge and Lost Caves for seperate tier this is one big thing? sounds good of course NUgget Bridge and Lost Caves etc will run but this is for the battlers who try to literally be the best there is be the Pokemon Master :p sounds good.

CHALLENGING A LEADER.
1. Ask the leader for a battle.
2. THEY decide when the battle comences.
3. Be respectful. Must use same tier as leader.
4. If you lose, you lose, no challenge for 3 days. max 5
5.If you win, move on to the next leader and repeat the rules.
6. NO making biased team choices due to the monotype teams!!

WAYS OF BECOMING A GYM LEADER.
1. Be nominated by Sinister Act.
2. Beat current Leaders/Elite Four.
R. Have at least 1750 on the ladders.

BEING A GYM LEADER.
1. Must accept all challenges from members.
2. Make sure they have beaten below members.
3. Must make a mono-type team for Gym use.
4. Fairly battle. No being biased Pokemon allowed.
5. After player wins, give them the authority to advance on.
6. Report the Victory or Lose to Sinister Act.
e. When timing a battle, be reasonable.

Yes, because although there are tournaments, they don't provide the same challenge as a league does.

Yes, I do like leagues. I understand why some people don't appreciate them, but I do like the fun and adventure this league'll bring >:D

I'm going to vote yes but mainly because of the first 4 Gyms. I never got into monotype or anything weird like that I just like majority of the tiers so something like this IF done right would be nice.

I'm going to have to vote no. Our last two attempts at a league ended in horrible failure, and I'd honestly hate to see someone put so much effort for something only for it to horribly crumble in their face.

No This has been attempted numerous times. And i just don't think a League would work on PS.

I definitely do not think that this will be successful on Smogon.

I like the idea and I can become a gym leader of anything you need :)

I voted no because I can't see how this would be able to work.

There is truly no way to emphasize this properly.

The definition of insanity is attempting the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. All of those numerous attempts have failed. Pattern recognition suggests this attempt will fail as well.
