LC Metagame Analysis
LC Lead Usage
Damn we actually had battles this month. |
Mien "I am always #1 in the rankings" Foo.
Just curious, how did Abra get to #3? I don't recall him showing up as high in past rankings. |
Well, there is nothing here I didn't expect to see.
Foongus wants to be higher though. It's a great check to Fighting-types and setup sweepers in general. Now if only all of the Scraggy can stop running Ice Punch / Zen Headbutt >:( |

Abra is a bit of a surprise to me, but at the same time it's kinda not; it's a very easy Pokemon to use as it takes no residual damage and still packs quite a whallop, even by most of today's offensive standards.
I find it funny how much of a "reactive" metagame we are playing. For example, Chinchou is above Murkrow in usage, most likely because it does possess that Flying-type resistance, but an even better example is Bronzor at a higher usage than Drilbur, who Bronzor is used all but exclusively to counter. Other than that, I think Lileep's usage is criminally low, and Porygon and Croagunk have really fallen out of favor for some reason. |
LC players used 5 Pokémon instead of 6 58 times? And 40 Pokés got used less than that...

Code:
| 151 | Magikarp | 10 | 0.052% |Anyway, now I'm encouraged to make a team out of the 6 most used Pokemon. Tallyho! |

A version of the "1337 stats" will be released by Antar soon.
|
Also, please avoid discussing intricacies of the stats that are irrelevant and keep this thread for the implications of the usage stats on the metagame.

Is there any way to see which dwebbles had shell smash and an offensive nature/ev spread, and which had hazards and a more tanky ev set? Over the past few weeks I've seen offensive shell smash dwebbles on atleast 1/8 of the teams I fight, and have didn't see a single hazards dwebble.
|
You can see moveset statistics for Little Cup here.
|
After looking at that list, I'm convinced that we need Leftovers removed from LC. Seriously, it has no advantage over Eviolite at all, and people that use it should feel ashamed.
|
leftovers are only used by people who dont understand its worthless in lc. we dont remove it, we just tell people they are wrong

No. Just because a certain EV spread is used often doesn't mean the corresponding set is the most common.
Besides, both mentioned sets use that spread. |
..........
who the FUCK is using focus sash dwebble? |
That's almost as surprising as blarajan being up by 9 30 am
In response to jacobninja, who insists SS is the only Dwebble set now to me through VM, I don't think SS should be the main Dwebble set, even if it is the most common. Dwebble is the only Pokemon who has the right combination of stats, Stealth Rock and Spikes, and Sturdy and really that's its niche. As a smasher, I think Tirtouga trumps it anyways because better STABs but whatever. The point is that just because it's being used the most doesn't mean it's necessarily the best. Furthermore, it's only being used 58% of the time, which isn't exactly what I'd call a super large margin, and statistically means it at most appears on about 1 in 17 teams, which is a far cry from 1 in 8. |

lol Abra to #3..

...
It seems I'm 3/4 of all wingulls, it's very underrated. My set is the top set here, considering asking to make a thread about it. |
A note: if you're posting detailed stats, please put them in [hide] or [code] tags.

Foongus needs more love. It's one of the best and cutest pokemon in LC. |
something makes me think i had a little to do with the shell smash dwebble rise.
319 battles in the past 3 months all with shell smash dwebble |
