The OU Council has set up an IRC channel where they will be publicly conducting their business. Everyone is free to join, but only select people will be allowed to speak. As the chat will be set to mode +m, you will need authority in the channel to speak. Authority in this channel will loosely be based on the following:

sop: Council Member
aop: OU Moderator
hop: Tiering Contributor
vop: Hand-selected users whom we feel have earned the right to speak.

Even if you can't participate in the discussion, it's still worth joining the channel just to see how the council makes its decisions.

The voting is in progress, and the channel still exists. After the Voter Identification thread is through, the voting for Keldeo and Tornadus-T will take place.

Are there specific times when the council meets on irc?
