Mew XD Move Tutor Research Thread

If anyone else has Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, a Mew, and at least 5000 PokeCoupons, please aid me in my research. I'm trying to determine what questions lead towards what sets of attacks from the Mew XD Move Tutor.

I: What are Pokémon to you?
Friends / Treasures / Collectibles

II: How would you like your MEW to be?
You decide / A kind MEW / A weird MEW / A strong MEW

III: What kind of TRAINER are you?
All-out attack / A loss is a win / Strike first to win / No giving up to the end
“All-out attack” as far as I can tell involves strong attacks that sometimes require additional turns to charge. (Solarbeam, Sky Attack)
“A loss is a win” tends to be associated with more self-damaging techniques with higher Base Power. (Double-Edge, Explosion, Self-Destruct)
“Strike first to win”
“No giving up to the end”

IV1: PROF. KRANE or DR. KAMINKO. Which one is greater?
PROF. KRANE / DR. KAMINKO

IV2: Where would you rather live, PYRITE TOWN or PHENAC CITY?
PYRITE TOWN / PHENAC CITY

IV3: Which one is bad? CIPHER or TEAM SNAGEM?
CIPHER / TEAM SNAGEM

V1: Okay, final question. MIROR B.'s underlings FOLLY or TRUDLY. Who do you like more?
FOLLY / TRUDLY

V2: Okay, final question. MT. BATTLE's VANDER or PRE GYM's JUSTY. Which one is stronger?
VANDER / JUSTY

V3: Okay, final question. SNATTLE or GORIGAN. Which is the smart one?
SNATTLE / GORIGAN

V4: Okay, final question. CIPHER ADMINS ARDOS or ELDES. Which one is cool?
ARDOS / ELDES

V5: (FORGOT)
ROBO GROUDON / ROBO KYOGRE

IB IIC IIIC IV2B V1B: Aerial Ace, Icy Wind, Fury Cutter, Strength
IB IIB IIIA IV1A V1B: Role Play, Mimic, Thunder, Hyper Beam
IC IIC IIID IV1B V1B: Metronome, Hidden Power, Rock Tomb, Thief
IC IIC IIIC IV3B V2B: Zap Cannon, Iron Tail, Fury Cutter, Icy Wind
IC IIB IIID IV2B V2A: Role Play, Mimic, Ice Punch Frustration
IA IIC IIIA IV1B V3A: Metronome, Hidden Power, Ice Punch Return
IB IID IIIC IV1B V1B: Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Fury Cutter, Swift
IB IID IIIC IV1B V2B: Faint Attack, Shock Wave, Fire Punch, Double Team
IA IIA IIIA IV1A V2A: Zap Cannon, DynamicPunch, Sleep Talk, Roar
IA IIA IIIC IV2A V3A: Role Play, Mimic, Hyper Beam, Waterfall
IC IIB IIIC IV1A V4B: Rain Dance, Waterfall, Swagger, Endure

IIC and IIIC seem to lead to Icy Wind and Fury Cutter.
IIIC seem to lead to Waterfall.
IB and V1B seem to lead to Fury Cutter and Aerial Ace.
IIB seem to lead to Role Play and Mimic.
IIC and IV1B seem to lead to Metronome and Hidden Power.
ROBO KYOGRE seems to lead to Water / Electric, like Rain Dance, Thunder, etc.
ROBO GROUDON seems to lead to Fire / Grass, like Sunny Day, Fire Blast, etc.

I'll help, but the thing is that there are literaly Thousands of possibly Combinations.
After Randomly trying to get a Hypnosis/NIght Shade Mew, I noticed that it seems you can't get mroe than 1 XD Move Tutor Exclusive Move.

For 100 moves, 4n100 should be 94,109,400. For the quiz (3x4x4x8x8), there are only 3,072 possible ways to go through the quiz. Thus, moves must be categorized somehow to fit into those combinations, unless truly random, and the quiz doesn't matter. I don't have a large enough pool of runs to notice patterns on a large scale, and the small patterns I have might be true, or just guessed.

I managed ZAP CANNON / THUNDER / NIGHTMARE / ROCK TOMB, but Nightmare is an XD move tutor, and not one of the special moves.

Couldn't you just answer it the same twice?

I haven't tried it, to be honest, and I'm not sure if the same quiz set came up twice. Most of the time, I try, but the answer I need is missing on at least one question.

You can't get two XD Special moves on the Mews (I tried for several days trying every combo I could find to get night shade+hypnosis), which is unfortunate.

I think I saw someone with Hypnosis and Zap Cannon...

Sorry for such a bump, but I had to update tonight with a combination that worked great:

Collectibles // A strong MEW // A loss is a win // Team Snagem // Snattle
Yielded: Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Skill Swap, ThunderPunch.

any news about a set that included fake out and hypnosis? what do tou think a bout a mew with those two moves and the tutor seismic toss? what is the better nature, EV spread and strategy? I've caught a rash mew with those IV:

27-27-30-24-17-27

what do you think about this pokemon?

Lorak Oct 25th, 2011 8:24:03 AM

I haven't done much more research into the topic since three years ago. That, and I've never seen Fake Out legitimately on a Mew.

-Matteo- Oct 25th, 2011 3:19:04 PM

insn't fake out one of the special moves? anyway, what abot that mew?
