Show Gender
 

I'm sure this has been suggested before,
but, would it be easy,
and nice to have a option to put your Gender in your profile?
It would give you a idea of who you are talking to.

In addition to this, if that could be in the post bit that'd be great.

When you're on a Pokemon forum, you can pretty much assume male unless told otherwise, but I guess an optional gender thing wouldn't hurt anyone. Probably shouldn't be to high on the priority list though.

And why shoul you assume male?
Some of the great players (TEST_101, for instance) are female.
And, @ Chris is me, I was thinking the same thing.

uh you should assume male because even though we have a few females in the community, the vast majority are male

I see no great need for this. I really don't think it would add any layer of depth, just save you going "he", them going "I'm a girl" and you going "Sorry".

If you want to know a person's gender, ask. It's not a generally useful piece of information and I don't think it needs to be on profiles.
