Smog #6

Hope you all enjoy it. Congrats to Smogon Awards winners!

Also congrats to August and Bojangles, two new smog staffers!

Mekkah Jan 10th, 2010 4:55:48 PM

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Quote:

In the distance I heard Mekkah yell, "Fucking Dragonite!"
Dragonite was meant to be Devious. This was a fuck-up by Raikage.

Kevin Garrett Jan 10th, 2010 5:05:38 PM

Looks outstanding. Good job team.

reyscarface Jan 10th, 2010 5:24:42 PM

Good job to all the winners and runner ups, the articles were interesting too.

There were very few mistakes, like in the normal article, on offensive moves, it says Super Fang has 100 accuracy, when it has 90. Also no Togekiss... :(

Anyways, it was a great issue, and great job!

Jibaku Jan 10th, 2010 5:26:13 PM

Excellent.....

Shame there were no Uber team to be featured for this month :(

locopoke Jan 10th, 2010 5:28:35 PM

Great issue, the art was excellent. It was cool to be nominated, congrats to the winners.

The only "complaint" I have is that most of the spotlight matches in the Tournament Coverage weren't really spotlight matches, but whatever.

EspyJoel Jan 10th, 2010 5:30:22 PM

Good job everyone!

symphonyx64 Jan 10th, 2010 5:31:24 PM

I found the "How to Avoid Getting Caught" article very enlightening.

Great job, as always.

august Jan 10th, 2010 6:49:36 PM

Great job team :D

boredomisbliss Jan 10th, 2010 7:08:29 PM

I enjoyed the how to avoid getting caught, except i dont take embarassment in telling people i play competitive pokemon :p

good job!

Tenzuku Jan 10th, 2010 7:15:51 PM

Great job for releasing Smog 6.

I enjoyed the "Flavor of the month: Gravity"

I have a feeling Gravity teams will become more popular.

ARandomDude Jan 10th, 2010 7:41:50 PM

Whoot! How not to get caught article was great ^^

P.S. I never got what np stood for =(

Edit:
Quote:

The other OU Normal offensive threat is Porygon-Z. While rather frail, 130 base Special Attack combined with 90 base Speed, Nasty Plot, and Adaptability makes single hits from Porygon-Z devastating to teams. If seen in OU, it usually holds a Choice Scarf to make up for its average Speed, Choice Specs to do extreme damage, or Nasty Plot with a Life Orb to attempt a sweep.
Oops.

jumpluff Jan 10th, 2010 7:46:39 PM

Thanks to everyone who voted / nominated me <3 And good work everyone who helped get this off the ground :D

ETA: np stands for 'no problem' or 'now playing' e.g. 'now playing: yeah yeah yeahs - zero'

Aura Guardian Jan 10th, 2010 8:30:23 PM

I was most amused by Mekkah's statement that he'd make an exception to normally not wanting to be voted for that once! Also, "How to Avoid Getting Caught" was amusing.

Wikey Jan 10th, 2010 9:35:02 PM

Always brightens my day when I see a new Smog is up. Great job.

I never knew there was such a thing as Rotom-S. What a useless excuse for a Rotom.

Eternal Jan 10th, 2010 10:27:38 PM

Nicely done. Very creative artwork.

lati0s Jan 10th, 2010 10:48:17 PM

Great issue, I'm really liking what I've read so far, but I do have one nitpick. the normal type analysis says that swords dance is the classic penultimate boosting move, penultimate means second to last, how is swords dance the second to last boosting move? In the same section it also mentions gliscor, scizor and infernape as users but not lucario.

macle Jan 10th, 2010 10:48:42 PM

isn't mingot also a new smog staffer?

(congrats ibo and augusto)

and the smog was ok....

chenman333 Jan 10th, 2010 11:14:01 PM

I had no clue my RMT was chosen...I feel pretty honored lol.

But how did that end up happening?

DCJ Jan 10th, 2010 11:29:20 PM

Looks superb!

Excellent work team!

Havak Jan 11th, 2010 7:03:57 AM

Great read :) I have to say I've been even more impressed with the art-work this time. Brilliant stuff.

Malfunction Jan 11th, 2010 7:10:40 AM

As good as ever. Keep it up guys!

Coronis Jan 11th, 2010 7:30:28 AM

So no CT for the winner of Trivia =/

Other than that another great issue.

Haunter Jan 11th, 2010 7:54:27 AM
