Your target frame is 58 right? The game will advance 47 for you, so you only have to do the rest. 58-47=11

You only use steps when advancing the IV frames, which you really don't want to do as it also advances the PIDRNG. Your IV frame is 1 right?

No problem at all. I still feel like a dummy next to some of the people in that thread too. :)

Here's basically what you want to do:

1) Get someone with Sweet Scent in your party
2) Go to the area where you want to capture the RNG pokemon
3) Save, turn off the game
4) Turn back on, hit your seed
5) Walk around for 128 steps if you need to advance the frame (like you said, only 1 Pokemon in your party if you only want to advance the frame once). Try to end up in the grass, but try not to go into the grass until you have walked the 128. Or use a Repel.
6) Sweet Scent and capture.
7) At this point, if you want, you can save and check IV's. You'll then have to start over from the top if you want to try again, but my understanding is as long as you hit the same seed, you'll get the same results, so no worries.
