    No you do not get any point if you don't play in r1. That is not fair for the poeple who had to play. You will get a bonus point if you win the second round though so you won't get penalised overall

    hey, is there any specific reason why grand slam is top 8 while classic is a similar format but top 12? or is it to do with tradition etc

    There is no specific reason for this, we could have go either way and just kept the top 8.
