Oh haha, I'm also very far south of Chicago. I don't live around Chicago at all.

Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

The interaction of Ally Switch and Leech Seed is messed up a bit visually; instead of moving with its proper target, the Leech Seeds stay on the same slot, giving the illusion that the incorrect Pokemon is seeded. Functionally, it works correctly. Example...

Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

I have read the article, many times in fact. Modifiers can't just be multiplied together in any random order (as the one you posted assumed). For example, the game rounds after the spread move modifier, but truncates after the random modifier. These steps have to be taken in a precise order...

That is absolutely not the damage formula (this is). However, the reasoning is still correct - Reflect is applied in damage calculation at a separate step than with boosts and drops. The damage calculator is accurate here.

Red/Blue Missingno is Bird / Normal type. I assume since "Bird" isn't really a well-defined type, Revelation Dance didn't change for that reason.

Research Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Battle Mechanics Research (Read Post #2)

I've been doing research on how the game chains Speed modifiers over the past week or so, and I stumbled into some tricky situations that quite frankly seem mathematically inconsistent. I need help, because I'm stuck. All of my testing was done between copies of USUM version 1.1. I did not do...

All replays are appending a | character at the end of text after any player-decided actions. Example: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7anythinggoes-680218117 Pre-battle and turns 33 (notification of timer), 38, and 39 all included these. I should note that post-battle the | character was...

Confirmed; I tested both Z-Haze and Z-Synthesis, and neither the primary Z-effect (in the case of Haze) nor the regular status move (in the case of Synthesis) were prevented. They both execute as normal. If Z-Copycat is used and calls a move blocked by Heal Block, the user still gets the +1...

Data Pokemon Sun/Moon Battle Mechanics Research

This is only partially correct; any affected Arceus in this way cannot be used in online battles, so the behavior is limited to that of local play. I'm not sure of the policy on implementing Showdown mechanics, but since it can't be used online, I assume it shouldn't get implemented (it's a...

Adding on to the discussion, it appears that Photon Geyser ignores abilities in a similar manner to Moongeist Beam and Sunsteel Strike. Kris and I tested that Photon Geyser was able to OHKO a Pokemon through Sturdy, as an example.
