    Pokémon Drapion

Two Knock-Offs, where the first hit successfully removes the opponent's item and grants the x1.5 boost, will actually outdamage two Crunches, so I'm sure Drapion won't lose the 2HKOs it got with Crunch.

    Yes, that's absolutely possible.

Each time you reject a new egg, the inheritance RNG changes. I'm not sure if trading messes it up, but I don't think it should.

Actually, genderless Pokémon have been giving me problems and inconsistent results. I will do more testing in regards to genderless stuff tonight.

Ditto assumes the female position (that sounded weird) in this case. Tested it already. And I'm also getting the same random IV every experiment. So I guess it's safe to say it stays the same. Now to roll for a 31!

Hmm... I tried to get a HA Skrelp by RNGing a Hustle Nidoran (female) and, while the IVs passed down as expected, the Skrelp hatched male and with Poison Point (his ability in slot 1), so I think neither gender or ability are locked with this method. Will keep experimenting more.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but that's how RNG works. Gen 4 RNG made even less sense, at least this is quite simple. Sorry I can't provide the specific reasons, so please just take things as-is for now. ): I also wish I could know why it behaves like that. Regardless, I have some new...

Okay, so let's see if I understand your question now: if you don't reject the first egg, then the inheritance will keep being randomized instead of locked when you change the parents. If you change the parents after rejecting the first egg and saving, you're keeping the inheritance RNG. Does...

I answered you in the first sentence of my last post: you don't have to change the parents. The rest was just rambling. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean.

You don't have to, but it's the main advantage of this method. Surely you can keep the same parents, but then you're better off just accepting every single egg and hatching them the usual way if those are the Pokémon you want to breed. The main usefulness of this method is, for example, breeding...

Tested this just for you. Ditto assumes the father role, an the Ungendered mon is interpreted as female. Because then you couldn't change the parents. If you save before getting the first egg, the inheritances will keep being randomized every time you change parents. If you reject the first...

Yeah, it's still very lucky based for sure. But if you get a spread on any shitmons that coincides with the spread you need for a good IV bred creature, then it saves you the time and the box storage space of trial and error! As long as you have an easy way to check their IVs (or if, at least...

It's not ambiguous at all, but I'll try to explain it better. Put your Skarmory and Pidgeot in the Day Care, one holding the Destiny Knot, one holding the Everstone. Wait for the Day Care Dude to hand you an egg. Reject the egg. Save the game. Wait for another Egg to pop out. Get it, and check...

Some sort of Egg 'RNG' Abuse (Read the first post!)

Please read the thread again. This is not just breeding, it's a "kind of" RNG abuse. The gender has influence because the game pre-determines what IVs the father and what IVs the mother are passing down when one of them is equipped with the Destiny Knot -- and because of that, you can do a save...

We just confirmed the heritage is based on gender, not the order in which the Pokémon are sent to the Day Care. Which is a shame, because it means you're limited to your female + male compatibility of IVs.

Hmm, then your SpA and SpD inheritance would be hard to really evaluate. For best results you should get a Pokémon from the same Egg Group with just 31 Speed IVs and keep hoping you'll get everything else but Speed from the male. If you can get a 31/x/31/x/x/x Goomy to breed with that Ditto it...

    This is the spread we're testing: Paras IVs [30~31] - [30~31] - [26~27] - [22~23] - [24~25] - [26~27] Durant IVs [0~1] - [12~15] - [8~9] - [18~19] - [8~9] - [6~7] Prole Paras IVs [30~31] - [16~17] - [26~27] - [18~19] - [24~25] - [6~7] Meaning it's inheriting Paras' HP, Def and Sp. Def, and...

A friend and I have been testing this ever since we read it on /vp/, and our testing so far has confirmed it. We've only tested with one subject so far though, but we're keeping at it until we can get 5 flawless IVs in the RNG and keep checking with that to make sure it's 100% reliable.
