    The Hole Punchers

There are threats, and there are even more threats in RU. I have grown to like this tier because of its generally quick yet strategic playstyle. I have always been an offensive player, even hyper-offensive at times. As you can assume by the name I have christened this team with, you can see the...

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

While porygon-z is a great pokemon, I have a little difficulty considering it for a-rank. I love the agility set, but it has 4 moveslot syndrome. Don't run dark pulse, and chandelure ruins you. Fail to run t-bolt, and suicune ruins you. If you don't run hp fighting, snorlax has a field day with...

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

Continuing on this weavile trend, it is safe to say he is a threat. I love those turnaround sweeps I've gotten with weavile, but it doesn't quite justify its flaws. It's just too damn frail, and ice/dark isn't a great defenisive typing, either. Weak to rock, fire, fighting, and bug, all very...

Counter this threat - Threat 2 : Kingdra

Since chandelure tends to lure in kingdras more often than not, I've found a way to truly decimate kingdra. With modest nature and full SpAtk investment, HP dragon actually OHKO's all variants after stealth rock. Circumstantial? Yes. Crazy? Yes. Rewarding? I think so!

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

I second the statement of snorlax and umbreon serving separate purposes. Umbreon is and probably always will be the go-to cleric in the tier. Snorlax sports just as good special bulk, but can also invest in offense. There isn't much comparison between them, but what I feel gives snorlax an edge...

You can honestly tornadus mediocre? Sure it's frail and weak to rocks, but that doesn't make it bad. With some of the best offensive stats in the tier at 101/121/108 if memort serves, tornadus is an incredibly offensive powerhouse. Slap a choice specs or life orb, and hurricane 2HKO's almost...

    The RU Viability Ranking Thread

Galvantula is undoubtedly a b-rank pokemon in RU. A stellar base 108 speed and an above average base 91 SpAtk (if memory serves) gives galvantula its offensive merit, and with bug/electric STAB only resisted by steelix, nidoqueen and a potential couple others, its ability to dent teams is quite...

    The RU Viability Ranking Thread

Seriously, why isn't golurk actually in RU yet? With titanic attack coupled with a pretty beefy HP stat and decent defenses, golurk truly has its niche. The ability to keep its own rocks up, a truly painful punch (literally) and the ability to tank hit pretty well as it is, it is no surprise...

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

Hmm, Empoleon for A-rank. With a pretty solid specially defensive typing and stats to back it up, I think empoleon should be the premier specially defensive stealth rocker in UU. The great thing about empoleon is it also can be unpredictable if need be. I find the stray offensive penguin now and...

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

I am not doubting escavalier's sweeping potential in the slightest, and yes it does check threatening pokemon well (weavile sticking out most to me) Agreed, magneton and registeel are fairly rare cases in UU these days, but it doesn't discredit the common bulky waters along with the fire types...

    The UU Viability Ranking Thread

Escavalier, for one, I don't feel belongs quite in B rank. While base 135 attack (if memory serves) is pretty monstrous, only rivaled by a couple of others, there are many pokemon that can deal with Escavalier pretty handily, namely zapdos, registeel, gligar, rhyperior (due to solid rock) and...

Team Bi-Winning (Peaked #10 in Showdown UU)

Hello, everyone! SBP33 here for my third RMT and my second in UU. I have been experimenting with this team for a few weeks now, and I must commend what it has done for me. From the great physical fire types to the almost unbreakable EmpoleGar defensive core, this team seems to have the speed and...

Old Ideas for the New Metagame

Hello, everyone! If you haven't seen my RU post please check it out, but for now I want to show you all a UU team I made a few months ago on PO, and I figured I would bring it back and ladder with it. I feel like there could be a few minor tweaks, but I believe this team is headed in the right...

    SBP33's RU Team

Hello, everyone! I have this RU team I constructed recently on Showdown, and I'm up to almost 1400 in ranking already, and I'm looking to ladder with it, so if you guys want to see the flaws or improvements this team can have, please let me know! Without further adieu, here are the players...

    July 2012 RU Usage Stats

Cofagrigus needs to go UU NOW! It will be the greatest thing in RU since quagsire. I'm no fanboy for him, but he can wall so many pokes on either side depending on investment and stockpile/toxic stall anything but grass types or anything with a strong HP grass. Sceptile and Gallade are...
