  1. BW2 and U(U)

Scarfed Imposter Ditto is not long for UU, I believe. I'm running it right now and you can't set up with anything AT ALL. I let a DD Kingdra set up all day, and then swept with Outrage. No idea how things are going to shake out, but this thing is really changing the way UU functions.
  2. Ask a Simple Question; Get a Simple Answer & General Resources (OU Edition)

I've noticed a lot of people (like four different users) using a shed shell level 1 aron in matches. It works as follows: comes in without at full health (not difficult to do at all), takes a hit, sturdy activates, uses endeavor, returns to full health. Obviously, multi-hit moves like dual...
  3. Zoroark

You can take it a step further. Skarmory "counters" Haxorus by absorbing its attacks and then whirlwinding it out, or by Brave Bird. Using Nasty plot or swords dance either has your Zoroark phased, or massively damaged by a pretty sad attack.
  4. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 Move Tutor Moves

I wonder if the addition of foul play would give Umbreon a bit more usage. It probably still wouldn't crack OU, but a cleric that you at least have to think twice about setting up on has to have some value, I would think. I'm also interested in the dual chop move additions. I'm not sure if it...
  5. Lucario

I agree with everything else you said, but in my experience, Landorus needs to be weakened before Lucario can finish him in one hit with ES. That said, if you want to eliminate Lucario's counters, you could just predict the switch and use ice punch instead of trying to sub or boost. The...
  6. OU CCAT: Zoroark [See Post #663]

Hyper offense is still probably the best playstyle to try and fit Zoroark into, though, imo. Zoroark is trying to succeed in a metagame filled with priority, fighting moves, and bulk.....it hates all three of those things. Zoroark can't switch into anything; that's really hindering it. Maybe...
  7. OU CCAT: Zoroark [See Post #663]

This thread seems really dead. I'm interested in seeing if you guys can make a Zoroark team work, but I'm just not seeing it.
  8. OU CCAT: Zoroark [See Post #663]

I've tested it out, and honestly, most of you won't like what I've found. There's simply a reason Zoroark is not OU: it's too frail. Priority, especially Scizor, absolutely ruins any of its chances. A bulkier Gyarados, as many have suggested, would be my first suggestion, if we are dead...
  9. Type Analysis & Frequency

I'm glad someone realizes this. Psychic is being heavily weighed in this list because it's a secondary typing for a couple OU powerhouses. Latios Latias --The value for these guys is their dragon typing, and I agree that the psychic typing isn't doing much for them. Celebi --Versatility over...
  10. kd24 vs k-12

Nitpicking: I didn't realize this was a warstory, and I never clicked on the thread until now. Great job, though. Glad I finally let curiousity get the better of me
  11. Warstory: Float Like a Rotom, Sting Like a Terrakion

I'll echo the others who have commented: great format, well-written, battle was just ordinary, and hampered by hax and mistake plays.
  12. OU CCAT: Zoroark [See Post #663]

I like this thought process, but really what happens if they predict wrong? Either Lucario or Zoroark is coming out, my instinct is to blast it before it can set up. Something to consider, because both mons are frail and can't afford to take an unresisted hit.
  13. Warstory: Predict Rick James, bitch!

I honestly disagree that his opponent had a major advantage. I thought he was at a severe disadvantage for most of the match, trying to use a majority of UU against the Volt-Turn standard. The fact that he made misplays only guaranteed the victory for the OP, imo.
  14. Lucario

That was a very odd post, considering that this is a very old thread, and you seem very upset with someone who made a good point.
  15. OU CCAT: Zoroark [See Post #663]

Sun would be interesting, because a Nasty Plot Ninetales/Infernape with flamethrower set would fit well with illusion.
  16. A war of attrition - Featuring Wilechase (impersonator)

I very much enjoyed this warstory. I agree with the person who said it's better to have the analysis pre-turn, though. Just makes for a better read. For future stories. I'm glad we finally had one come up.
  17. Umbreon

Umbreon is just bad this gen. It's been my favorite since gen 2, but it just can't function. I can take out a couple ghosts in UU, but other than that it has absolutely nothing over Chansey/Blissey. And it isn't just a "little annoying" when a steel type switches in. It's completely...
  18. Counter that OU Pokemon! **DON'T REPEAT SETS!!!!**

Gyarados with leftovers Adamant Nature Intimidate 56 HP/ 248 ATT/ 204 Speed Dragon Dance Substitute Waterfall Earthquake Doesn't care about earthquake at all. It can switch into stealth rock, and Fire Fang is absolutely pitiful against the intimidate loss. Gyarados sets up DD or subs and gets...
  19. Counter that OU Pokemon! **DON'T REPEAT SETS!!!!**

Conkeldurr @ flame orb. Guts, adamant nature 224 HP 252 attack 32 SpD Drain Punch Facade Mach Punch Payback Easy counter to Chansey. Isn't afraid of even switching into toxic, because it gets the Guts boost regardless, and switching into a seismic toss doesn't matter because of drain punch...
  20. Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer MK IV: Read the FAQ in the Opening Post

Which pokemon provides the best wish support? Can anyone beat Jirachi? With U-Turn and a speed decreasing nature, it could theoretically absorb the incoming attack itself and heal a crippled teammate..... is there anyone better at that role (using, say volt switch or baton pass?) Also, is...
